3 problems: 1. script running in background; hyperlinks stays on even though not turned on; and every time I click on something I get a yield manager window?
1. Regularly get an unresponsive script message, over the past six months. This delays Firefox from responding to instructions enormously. I have emptied my Inbox (usually happens with Gmail.
2. Past two weeks I have hyperlinks activated, despite my ticking off underscore in the Colors section of Preferences, and restarting.
3. Today everytime I click on a download or web search address, Firefox opens a full screen window called yield manager with advertising poof.
Help please, because of these three problems I am extremely frustrated with Firefox. (Oh and I am on Apple Mac).
I don't know how many times I have reset Firefox, so sorry Philipp, your suggested solution does not work for me.

If you use PSE as your external editor for iphoto, you need to save the images back to iphoto by using Save, not Save As and not changing anything like the name or format that would bring up the Save As window. (You may need to adjust the editor prefs>saving files>on first save to save over existing.)
OR you can export the photos from iphoto to the desktop, use file>open in the editor and then change whatever you want and either import the saved image to the organizer or import it back to iphoto as a new file. What you are doing is extremely risky, particularly to the iphoto library which you may easily damage by your workflow.
I would start the organizer holding down the shift key, then create a new catalog and switch to the new one. Then try opening the editor without opening an image and see if you get any farther.
PSE and iphoto are not designed to be used as you've been doing. You are trying to write to the iphoto library from outside iphoto, which is the fastest known way to corrupt the library and lose all your photos. -

Cannot download an issue of a subscribed magazine on news stand. The download has paused and cannot midway and every time I click on resume it asks to shut and restart the app. Done that several times. Even restarted the iPad but the problem continues.
Do a search with Spotlight for ".plist" (without the quotes). In that list (should be very long) there should be a file named com.apple.itunes.plist. Delete that file by dragging it from the Spotlight list to the Trash. Don't worry if you drag the wrong file and delete it, as these are preference files that recreate themselves when you launch an application.

I have a windows 7 64x SP1.
Every time I install iTunes 12 I get this message when I try to open it:"This copy of iTunes is damaged and it has not been correctly installed. Please, install iTunes again.(-42404)".

As soon as I log on to Firefox this pop up appears on the screen saying Java Script Application and under neath it it says uninstal and beside uninstal is a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark inside of it. When I click the fastdial button which has appeared on my navigation toolbar - it takes me to chrome://fastdial/content/fastdial.html so I figured that it is chrome that caused the problem.
When I click on tools/addons I get a script error and a frozen firefox.
Also can not use any toolbar links and have to type in the address into navigation to get anywhere.

Your post is incomplete, so no one can reasonably answer you.
Standard restorative advice often includes this, however:
Reset Photoshop Prefereces to defaults.
To do this, press and hold the Control, Shift, and Alt keys (Command, Shift, and Option on a Mac) immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you're quick enough - and you have to be extremely quick - Photoshop will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to creation of an brand new, fresh default set.
Another possibility is:
Try running without added plug-ins.
Still another possibility is:
If you have a Windows system, visit the web site of the maker of your video card to see if they've made a fresh display driver update available, and install it if so.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried it. I assume the lack of support has to do with hardware that isn't quite snappy enough, performance-wise, under ML.
Alternatively, do I have the license to install Lion on MB 4,1 once I pay for ML on MBPs? With ML, I'm allowed to install it on up to 5 Macs that I own; if it doesn't run on one (e.g., to MB 4,1), it seems I should be able to get the "next best thing."No, it won't run on a machine Apple says is not supported...a part of that non-compatibility has to do with the graphic module on those machines, cannot handle the demands of ML. If you try to download to a non-support machine MAS won't let you.
Once you buy ML you have the license to download to any machine you own or control...each much have your AppleID for authentication.
You do not have a license to install Lion after buying ML...that is a separate license that must be purchased from 1-800-MY-APPLE where they will give you a download code to use at the MAS. -
Somehow 1500 web pages were downloaded into my iphone app! That's when the trouble began Now, I keep gettig error message"not enough room on your start up disc. "So I deleted most of theml, but when I compress/delete files, it doesn't help. Now i'm unable to back up to a disc, because I get a similar message about lack of room.. I can't download apple updates or printer updates. My computer is almost unusable. When I took it to the Apple store they had no idea what was wrong.
I bought an external hard drive-Free Agent Go Flex which doesn't seen to function, and has no user interface and apparently little tech support. My cursor is all over the place. No one at Apple seems to be able to fix this computer. Any suggestions for my next move?

I made a purchase with my debit card on The Simpson Tapped out game, And now my game won't open. It just kicks me out every time I click on it. How do I fix this problem with out deleting my app?
Personally, I would never use a debit card online, for security reasons. If your card gets hacked its your money that is stolen. At least with a credit card it is the card providers money that is stolen.
Anyway, I would delete the app and re-install. If you paid for the app in the first place you will be able to re-install free of charge. Also, the app should allow the in-app purchase to happen again as it should recognise that you have already purchased it previously.
Finally, it might be that the 3G doesnt have as much ram as more recent models of iphone and you may have applications running in the background that are preventing the app to function with the in-app purchase unless you shut down any apps eating all you memory that are running in the background. Shut-down these apps (and the simpson tap out app) by exiting to your home screen and double-tapping the home button to show what apps are running in the background. press and hold any of the open apps until it starts shaking. close all the apps down. exit then re-launch the app.

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties, under System on that small window is info about your OS.

Updated my 2 imacs to Maverick yesterday. Schoolboy error on my part not checking if there were problems with any programmes before I did.
Quark is now a nightmare with no short term answer on the way. As a Quark user for over 20 years this is just another reason to hold your hands up and say OK Indesign you win I will have to learn how to use you and Quark will be a distant memory.
I am told there will probably be no solution to getting quak 9 running on Maverick and that you will need to update to 10 in about 2-3 weeks to get back to normal. Having spent a few bob on 2 versions of 9.5 only in Feb this year i didn't really want to upgrade yet.
So its cough up to carry on using Quark or learn Indesign.
I have lost faith in Quark as they are quick to send me e-mails asking me to upgrade to this and that version, why didn't they send one out saying do not upgrade to Maverick. Perhaps they know there loyal follwing will uograde to 10 and will generate a nice little bonus before Xmas.
Lots to do today and will now take 10 times longer to do it. Is this 2013 or 1974!!!!!
