3 Questions - Open Syntac, Notifty Open, Work Collaboratively

I have different questions related to Acrobat and was wondering if any of these can be solved:
1. We have an internal file server where someone created a handy web page we navigate through to access different .pdf's. It is internal only, doesn't access the web. Is it possible to setup the ability if they need to combine adobe .pdf files to have Acrobat launch, open the combine files dialog box, and already be in the directory where the .pdf's are located?
2. When one user has a .pdf open, is it possible to have Acrobat notify a user that a file is already opened when they open it themselves? Currently it allows multiple users to open the same file but will only state someone else has it open when you try to save the file. Unfortunately this poses the problem of users spending time making markups and then finding out they can't save their work. (See #3 for solution - if possible)
3. To alleviate #2, can multiple people work in the same .pdf at the same time? It would record their markup's/changes and would save their layers individually on the .pdf or something like that.

3 - you can use a Shared Review to allow multiple users to mark up the same file and see each others' comments.

Can I report on the AGE of open Work Items? How? Group into Buckets?

Is there a way to report on the age of open work items?
Perhaps a bar graph that has several buckets.
a.    Over 364
b.    180 to 364
c.    90 to 179
d.    1 to 89
And then a COUNT in each bucket.
For example, if a Work Item is open longer than 364 day, it would appear in bucket "a" as a count of 1. Say there are a total of 45 Work Items that were opened older than 364 days, then "45" would appear in column "a" now say that there are 100 work items open that are 1 to 89 days old, then 100 would appear in the "d" bucket.
Make sense? How can I report like this?

Open Work Order report and shortage report

Hello,
First of all, I am very new to SAP and sap forum. I do need to learn SAP very fast. I work as Buyer and Planner. I would like to know how do you run open work order report and also how do run shortage report.

Use tcodes CO24. First you need to activate that report PPCOXPR1 in SE38 enter report name and execute
In COOIS select list components you can be requirement qty and withdrawn qty , here you can find out open work orders also

Viewing ALL Open Work Items and Corresponding Approvers in System

Is there a workflow report in ECC that displays ALL open work items in the system at any given time and their approvers that need to take action?

SWIA - You can give a status of the workitem ( Ready , Inprocess ...........), workitem type (dialog....)
in the selection criteria and also the time then you can find all the open workitems.
And also you can check Header table SWWIHEAD it includes all the information related to workflows
but this is a lenghty process need to process object type and need to refer so many attributes.
best way is need to create one report make use of it.

Tracking the component changes - Open work order

Hi
We have been using special work order type, it is an open work orders. Was created for adding the small consumable and do the time writing for small jobs. The users are instructed to use only for consumable material and time writing job. But how ever the user who have acces to change the workorder are adding those material with high value. I want to trach who has ordered this changes is there any standard way to check the order.
If any changes made to the component list it will display the same reservation number which the warehouse will issue the goods, I would like to know each time item added to the component list by different user there ID or the name i should find.

Hi Peter,
Yes we can see the material reserverd against the person who is taking the material from the warehouse.
But the issue is while adding the material in the work order does not show who is the person adding the material to the workorder, it will go to the person who created the workorder to the same reservation.
For my issue is there any standard way or we have to go for development please let me know.

KO8G open work order settlement

I am facing an issue with open work order settlement using KO8G or KO88.
We are on 6.0 and PSM turned and New GL activated with a document splitting on fund mandatory flag turned on.
When open work orders undergo WIP calculation through KKAI, it shows the the calculated amount in the GL account but when we execute KO88 or KO8G to settle this open work order amount to the GL, it gives me the below error
GLT2201 "Balancing field "Fund" in line item 001 not filled"
On debugging the KO88, its seen that the field fund does not flow in from the work order.
This means that both my P&L accounts and my balance sheet accounts that offset the WIP posting does not have the fund field (which is a mandatory field for posting any document in the system).
Has anyone come across such a situation?
Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry i have been really busy with work off late. I just got a moment and wanted to thank you for the help.
I found a solution for it, we had FMDERIVE default the fund on the accounts used in WIP settlement as they are dedicated for those process.
The cost is picked from the order and deposited on the P&L account which is now attached to the fund and this is further transferred to the balance sheet account with the fund information.
Problem solved.
Do you see any other implications on this?

Thanks for the reply.
We have a user exit to populate the order during its creation. this means the fund field is already residing on the order. so during settlement process, closed orders dont have a problem but when open orders are subject to settlement i.e WIP settlement, the cost on the order is not transferred to the GL account because of the fund missing as our financial statements should be balances by fund.
Do you think an user exit can suffice this ? have you ever tried or come across such a scenario.

If the application supported auto-save, yes, if not, then no.
If you were creating a mail message, it might be in the drafts folder of the e-mail program.
What evidence do you have the computer restarted itself? Did the Apple logo come up?

Additionally, i'm not able to do an update on Adobe for some reason. I'm getting the following error message; server is not responding; it might be offline temporarily, or the Internet or firewall settings may be incorrect. I highly doubt it's my firewall settings.

Install the most recent CS6 update.
Don't install the update manually unless you encounter a problem with the automatic way. To use the automatic way, open any Adobe application (like Bridge) and choose Help > Updates.

Question mark key doesn't work!!!!!!

I have an HP Pavilion s3700y and have the most bizarre problem. The question mark key won't work, regardless of what sort of keyboard i use. Right now i'm using the wired keyboard that came with the system, HP kb-0630. however i've also used microsoft and logitech wireless keyboards with the same result. everything else works fine but when i press the shift key and then the question mark key, nothing happens. the forward slash underneath works fine but the question mark key is dead.
i'm running out of ways to write only declarative sentences and fear i will need to ask a question sooner or later. know what i mean (ahhhhh!!!!!)
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also check if the Question mark works in the On-Screen Keyboard.
Windows Vista/Windows 7pen On-Screen Keyboard by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking Ease of Access, and then clicking On-Screen Keyboard.
Windows XP: Open On-Screen Keyboard by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, Clicking Accessibility and then On-Screen keyboard.
Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem

Is there a way of working collaboratively on a flex project with a small project group?
I am part of a small group of developers who wish to work on a single flex project together. Is there a way to set up flex so that the project can be developed by multiple people at the same time. I have seen one thread out on the internet about working locally and then uploading to SVn but this is not an option in this case.
Any ideas.

I would say that rushing into development without a source-control system will cost you more in the long-run. If your organisation is serious about developing software it then it needs to invest in the necesary infrastructure, so you should get that process kicked-off as soon as possible.
In the interim you could set-up a source control server on one developer's machine or commandeer a spare machine to use as a temporary source control server. Just make sure you have it backed-up regularly. Or you could use one of the online source control services; many will support private repositories for a small fee.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
