3-Sweep (3D modeling) integration in Adobe CC

Just saw a jaw dropping demonstration of very Adobe-like 3D modeling technology called 3-Sweep.  I would love to see this in Adobe CC.  It is a revolutionary breakthrough on how to model anything from a 2D image by drawing a line and dragging.  A thousand times easier to use and more capable than the pen tool for it's function.

First, go install the Photoshop updates.  The current version is 14.2.1, and you are still on 14.1.2.
And 3D is disabled because your video driver crashed "on 22/05/2014 at 13:22:04".

  • How to use SharePoint integration in Adobe Reader XI?

Acrobat XI and Reader XI are now offering a SharePoint integration feature, supporting SharePoint 2010 and 2013.
In 'Adobe Enterprise Administration Guide' there are some requirements mentioned for SharePoint, saying that there is a Acrobat License necessary for every client computer!
Does that mean, that I can only use the SharePoint Integration in Adobe Reader with an additional Acrobat license?
    Has anybody tried this?

  • Looking for expert who can highlight 3d model node in adobe reader with external program

I need to select and highlight 3d model node in adobe reader with my program.from outside of adobe reader. it seems there is no out-of-box API in stndard SDK. I want to outsource this task fully or partly. If you have the solution or able to provide consultant in this area, please send message to me.

You would indeed need a plug-in to actually select and highlight but you can easily call attention to a part by temporarily changing the color via JavaScript which you can access from external applications.
I can provide more specific advice if you explain the exact user interaction you're looking for. Is this a desktop application? Is the PDF in a browser? etc.

  • Actionscript / swf integration with Adobe Presenter

I need to do some Actionscript / swf integration with Adobe Presenter content.
Is there any way to access information about current slide nr., total number of slides and "end of presentation" information from swf(Actionscript 3.0) inserted into Adobe Presenter?
I am using Adobe Presenter 8 with Adobe Connect 8.

First, the best place is probably the Presenter forum, which somewhat curiously is under the Connect umbrella:
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/connectpro/connectpro_presenter
Out of curiousity, why are you using AICC? Because the content is on a different domain?
To the point, it's great to have a logging or debugging tool for these sort of things to view the communication between the LMS and the lesson. Perhaps the lesson is sending the 'completed' status but also sending some other value that the LMS is using to change the status back to incomplete?
My first suggestion would be to try the lesson in a tool like TestTrack...but I don't think that handles AICC. Does the Saba LMS have any kind of debugger or logging tool you can use? You really need to see if the lesson is sending the status back to the LMS as you suspect it should. If it IS, then the issue lies with the LMS and how it's interpreting that result. If it's NOT, then you can then perhaps figure out what to adjust in the lesson.
In general, just play with the settings. If it's set to Complete/Incomplete and has a Mastery Score, try NOT setting the Mastery Score... And other such combinations.
I hope the folks in the Connect/Presenter forum can provide more insight.

  • Integrating Offline adobe form in Portal

    Hi All,
I created offline adobe form using SFP tcode.
This form needs to be integrated in Portal. When user logs in, he/she should be able to open this form.
Can offline adobe form can be integrate to portal directly? or do we need to create the Webdynpro applications only for poral?
Please let me know whether we can integarate offline adobe form to portal directly. If not why?.. I don't know about portal.
    Thank you!
    Prasad

    Hi Deepika,
This discussion thread is all about integrating a WebDynpro application which contains adobe form into portal.
I assume your requirement is different which needs to upload an offline adobe form into portal.
There are documents available to explain this functionality in detail. Please note down the following.
    1) For uploading adobe form should be XML schema based.
    2) There should be a webdynpro application with uploader UI element which has been integrated into the portal.
    3) On form upload, you will get all the data associated with the form within webdynpro

  • New "throttled" ICE pricing model proposal to Adobe

First off I agree that the ICE service should not be free, but for it to be worth while from a business standpoint, and at $20 per month paid to Adobe, the "web shop" would need to charge at least $10 per month to each client to use the service. It's a given that most clients won't want to pay more than $10 a month for the ICE service unless their web site is a large one. So if Adobe needs $20 a month for 5 domains in the current price proposal, the web shop would need to have 2 clients using it right away just to break even and acquire 3 clients just to start making a profit. The proposed pricing model puts much more "pressure" on the web shop's side to sign people up on the service as fast as possible starting out. The situation becomes even more evident if the web shop has 6 clients and is now paying $40 a month to Adobe for two base accounts. With 5 clients and one base account the web shop profits $50-($20 to Adobe)=$30 total per month. With 6 clients and two base accounts the web shop profit takes a dip with $60-($40 to Adobe)=$20 total profit per month. So the current pricing model becomes a kind of stair-stepping profit and loss situation for the web shop when they don't have each base account "loaded up" per say.
A MUCH better pricing strategy for both Adobe and web shop owners would be for Adobe to create an initial 3 domain base account for $10 a month and then "throttle the price" for each additional domain. This would lower the initial profit risk for the web shop greatly. Let me illustrate... Let's say Adobe charges a base price of $10 a month for a 3 domain base account to start with. Then for every NEW domain there is an additional $5 a month charge. Ok, so let's say the web shop has 5 client domains... now we have a a base price of $10 (3 domains in the base) + 2 NEW domains and that's a total of a $20 total per month paid to Adobe. Now for 5 domains Adobe is STILL making the $20 a month it needs. At this point though, the web shop has 5 committed ICE clients and is charging a minimum of $10 per domain so they receive $50 per month minus the $20 paid back to Adobe for a total profit of $30 per month. If the web shop has 6 client domains then the total profit is $25 to Adobe rather than having to pay $40 per month with the current proposed pricing model. Now we must look at how this pricing strategy "benefits" Adobe, because at 6 domains Adobe was previously getting $40 for two base accounts with 5 domains in each. BUT if they go with a throttled pricing model those same 10 domains now would mean $45 per month ($10 base + 7 new domains at $5 each for $35) instead of the previous $40 per month for Adobe. Ok, wait a second (I can hear most of you saying it now) why would we now pay Adobe an extra $5 per month for 10 domains? The answer is simple, because previously they would be getting $40 a month for say 6 domains whereas now they would only get (($10 + 3 new domains x $5 each = $15)) = a total of $25 per month for 6 domains. This is very fair because Adobe now takes on a lower rate per month as the domain counts ramp up, but now at the 10 domain mark they would be getting $45 per month instead of $40.
Overall this strategy eliminates the starting risk for the web shop, ensures the web shop's profit right away, and in the long run Adobe profits a little bit more for higher domains counts. Both sides get a much better deal with a throttled pricing model!
And as a last note of "profitable hope" for the web shop readers, you could also base your ICE monthly service price on the size of each client's web site. For example: 20 pages or less = $10 per month, 21- 50 pages = $15 per month and for large web sites above 50 pages you could go with $20 per month. This is actually still fair, because if you think about it you still have to provide ICE code support for each page should something go wrong and provide support for ICE user e-mail questions, training, etc. So the more page support you have to deal with code-wise, e-mail-wise, or even phone-wise the more it should justify a higher monthly cost back to your client for having a larger web site to maintain overall.

First off I agree that the ICE service should not be free, but for it to be worth while from a business standpoint, and at $20 per month paid to Adobe, the "web shop" would need to charge at least $10 per month to each client to use the service. • SQL Developer Data Modeler - integration with subversion

I just discovered the release of SQL Developer Data modeler, and found this to be very interesting.
We are still using Oracle Designer for database design, but we are looking for a replacement (for several reasons).
    My question is quite simple:
Given that the modeler uses a filebased repository, and also given that we have several developers potentially working on a data-model at the same time, how does Data Modeler integrate with subversion for source control etc.?
Can the repository itself be under source control, and checked in/out directly from Data Modeler?
Or will only the output files be candidates for version/source control?
Let me admit right away that I have not read much of the data modeler docs, and I have also not downloaded/installed it (yet), but does anyone have pointers to docs on this , or general input/knowledge around it.
On a side note, I must say that it puzzles me that a company like Oracle, that delivers one of the best databases doesn't use its database engine to host the repository, but instead chooses to go for files (I assume xml) "scattered all over the place"....
Well, I guess they a have a reason for it..
    Anyway:
Sql Developer Data Modeler and Subversion anyone?
    Jens

    Hi Jens,
It's early days and the initial implementation is indeed file based. Though I'd say not xml files "all over the place", but in ordered folders. Yes, as a database company it does make sense that we'd have a repository for managing and versioning metadata. However the tool supports Oracle and other databases and many companies use open source version control tools, such as Subversion and so anyone using the Data Modeler today can use it with Subversion regardless of the database they are designing for.
We do plan to have a repository, but in the 6+ months of the early adopter program found that many of the early adopters were happy to place the files under source code control using Subversion and in so doing also managed the multi-user development.
Integrated Subversion support is planned for a future release.

  • Integrating Dynamic Adobe Form with BSP: SAP Objectives setting &Appraisal

    Hi all,
My users ask me whether wecan use Adobe Form to replace SAP standard BSP appraisal form (generated by HAP_DOCUMENT).
I konw that it's possible to integrate Adobe Interactive form with BSP.
But my Adobe form must contain dynamic table, with ability to insert/delete row on the form. This is just like what's there when you can adding objectives by client scripting in SAP OSA.
Please tell me if the integration of dynamic Adobe form with BSP is possible?

can you please expand a bit on what exactly you want to do?
As for Interactive Forms, the Adobe-based solution in SAP NetWeaver, have a first look at our page in SDN at http://sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/adobeforms.
You can easily display an iView containing an interactive PDF form in the Portal (see the Portal documentation on iViews at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/df/bedca2076511d7b84500047582c9f7/frameset.htm

    Hi Everyone,
I would like to know if CQ5 provides any kind of integration with Dreamweaver so that all the content that is created by web-dev team using dreamweaver can directly be imported in Cq5.
Also does cq5 provides and dreamweaver kind of capability, so that web-dev team can develop their content in cq5 itself and would not use dreamweaver.

I do not know of any connector between Oracle WebCenter Content and Adobe CQ.
I'd also agree that Java integration using RIDC would be your best bet.

  • Integration with Adobe Photoshop Elements 4

I would like to migrate to Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 for Mac and would like to know how it will integrate with iPhoto.
My photos are stored in iPhoto, could I edit them using PE4?
How should I generate slideshows? Do I use PE4 or iPhoto?
Could I import the slideshows generated by PE4 into iDVD sessions?

    Charles:
Yes you can use PE4 to edit photos in iPhoto but you need to set up iPhoto's preferences so that PE4 is the editor of choice when you double-click on a thumbnail. Then if the edit you perform requires a change of extension to .psd then you MUST do a Save As to the desktop and import as a new file. If the edit doesn't require a .psd extension then a normal save will do and iPhoto will recognize the edit you made and update the thumbnail accordingly.
If the PE4 slideshow are Quicktime format then you can use them in iDVD. You'll have to manually import them into your iDVD project, however.
Just a note on slideshows and iDVD. If you don't need to use the Ken Burns effect you can generate a much sharper slideshow by importing the still image files, cropped to the 4:3 iDVD recommended ratio, and build the slideshow in iDVD. There you can have the same music, transitions (but only 1 transition per slideshow) and can put titles and comments on any slide you want (you can't in iPhoto).
The reason for the sharper slideshow is that the stills get rendered to video format by iPhoto and then that video file gets encoded a second time by iDVD. There's a loss of image quality there.
    Do you Twango?

  • Offline Integration of Adobe Forms with CRM System using Web Service

    Hi Experts,
I have a business requirement in which the end user us given an Application Form.
The user can save the form locally and fill the data.
Now the requirement is that when the end user clicks on Submit Button on the form, a web service is called and the entire data in the form is sent to CRM System.
I want to know is it possible to capture the entire data filled in the form in a web service???
Also the other major requirement is that i need to send the application form also to the CRM system.
