3 weeks and Indesign cs5 and Illustrator cs5 are still going crazy

To sum up my problem simply about 3 weeks ago I loaded up Indesign cs5 on my wonderful macbook pro that still runs snow leapord (so it isn't an os issue) to work on a project I had saved the night before on the exact same computer and the exact same program.
No fonts had been added, nothing had been changed in setting, I had merely saved and closed it down.
Then out of nowhere it starts auto crashing on startup, I have literally run this program for the past 3-4 years with no problems at all (in fact PS tends to be the angsty one) and it suddenly rainbow rings on me on startup?
What I have tried:
restarting my computer
loading with no other devices attached and offline
new user, that did not work
cleaning the preferences file
re installing the program
I have also denied the CS5 extension manager all this time as well, so I am wondering of that program is part of the issue.
I have tried the reset key combo it didn't do anything.
I need this program working to finish up a manual, stationary, and letterhead for a project and to refine a logo in Illustrator.
I do have the student version and my license is still active.
I tried cc and I hate it, truly I do and it isn't worth what they charge you per month.
It isn't just Indesign Illustrator is acting up too doing the same thing, both programs went nuts at the same time, I have never had a problem with them before and I just got my laptop fixed so that isn't the issue.
One of those projects is due by tonight at the latest, I really would love any advice you could give, thank you.

I did that too, then I did a migration assistant to a new Mac and ALL of my movies have Source Clip Missing now, even though the original clips are still in the iPhoto Videos. I can stand to re edit one or two projects, but not ALL.

Add the corrected ones to your PS - PS contains only what was added to it - changes made are not applied to the PS - you have to re add the updated photos

Hm ... I guess I can't edit the post above. Anyway, I seem to have solved it by ...
Quitting iTunes.
Going into Home / Music / iTunes, and renaming the file "iTunes Library.itl" to "iTunes Library (corrupt).itl".
Entering Time Machine, and restoring the "iTunes Library.itl" file from a few days ago. I went back two days, which seemed far enough back to be "before" the problem but not far enough back to have trouble with recent acquisitions.
Re-opening iTunes - and everything seemed to be back in order.
So that's fine for now. We'll see if the solution is stable.
Very, very tentative assignment of blame: I believe iTunes crashed earlier today after I'd synced photos from my iPhone to iPhoto, and then iTunes crashed while iPhoto was closing (and taking its sweet time doing so). If that was indeed the case, that's at least the second time in the past couple of months that trying to sync iPhone photos to iPhoto has caused me significant problems. (The last time led to 80% of my iPhone suddenly being occupied by "Other", and a full restore of the darn thing.)

How do I receive and send emails on my new i4S? They are still going to my 3G iPhone

Copying files works OK, but not moving. It seems like recently(iOS8?), when you try to delete photos from an iPhone that has been mounted you will get a 'permission denied' error. I haven't found a way around this.
I've resorted do manually deleting using one-by-one selections on the iPhone itself. Dropbox carousel is great for this but I don't use Dropbox yet. They other way is to do an iTunes sync and then delete the synced folder contents but that just feels 'weird'. Maybe there's a good App out there for photo management.

After installing Photoshop CS5, now Illustrator CS5.1 won't stay open!

I have tried opening it from another user account; same problem. I have Illustrator CS2 installed as well; it works fine. Both Illustrator versions have worked together for more than a year. What else can I try?

Sounds like the Photoshop was from CS5. The Illustrator is from CS5.5. You may be best served by uninstalling both, running the cleaner tool and reinstalling Photoshop before Illustrator.

Error Code: U44M2P20 when upgrading CS5, with Illustrator CS5 15.02

Recently I got the message to upgrade my Adobe Creative Suite (CS5) Production Premium. However during upgrade three components failed:
1.     Extension Manager 5.5
2.     Adobe Illustrator CS5 15.0.2 and
3.     Pixel Bender 2.5
I got the message to upgrade these components again today and the upgrade again failed.
I then downloaded the actual upgrades and tried to manually upgrade but it again failed with error code U44M2P20
when I looked at the error code I get the note:
Error "This serial number is not for a qualifying product..." when installing an upgrade or upsell
however, I currently have Adobe Illustrator 15.0.0 and Pixle Bender toolkit 2.0 installed and working.
how can I either upgrade or stop the upgrade messages from coming up.

I am getting the impression that you should be saying "update" instead of "upgrade"
If the Adobe Application Manager is involved in these messages about updates then what you can do is adjust the preferences to no longer check for updates for the troublesome program updates.

Export an InDesign file to PDF and InDesign freezes and quits

I keep trying to export an InDesign file to PDF and InDesign keeps freezing up and quitting. This is the first time it's done this, I have never had a problem before.I recently added Suitcase Fusion to my computer and wondered if this was the cause, or if there is something else wrong.

Try disabling the suitcase plugin and see if it continues (you'd probably have other problems, too, though, if it's the culprit). Often it's a bit of bad text or an image. See Adobe Community: File Crashing on Output - printing/PDF/other for lots of troubleshooting tips.

Changed ISPs and all emails have disappeared, but are still on HD.

Running OSX 10.5.8 and Mail 3.6.
I have have 2 mailboxes. Changed ISP from bellsouth to comcast and someone set it up for me on my Macbook Pro, including updating (not deleting) the information in Mail's preferences. The big problem now is: in Account #1, all the Sent emails are gone; in Account #2, all the Inbox and Sent emails are gone. Strangely, however, they are still on the HD. I found them in the Users folder - Library - Mailboxes - etc. Both accounts are listed there as POP accounts.
First, how do I get them back into Mail?
Second, why did this happen (so I can avoid it in the future)

P.S. When the changes were made to Mail for the new ISP, other crazy things were happening too, but those have been resolved, i.e. I was getting not only my emails, but the other person's emails too. Then he fixed that, but I started getting duplicates of every email stored on the server, even if it was previously downloaded, so I ended up with 3 of each. That seems to have stopped because I went to the server and moved everything to a newly created folder.

What can I do? the files are still taking memory but the iPod doesn´t show the songs and the playlists. My iPod has 9 gigs inside but there´s nothing to show! Nothing in the screen and nothing when i connect it to iTunes.
Is there any way to restore it? It happened suddenly after connecting the iPod to the computer and taking more time than it use to. My iTunes is managed manually...

Ok, so this is how apple solve the problems of their systems: Just restore it and lose all your information. That's pathetic.
Fortunately I could save my songs and repair my iPod with Yummipod.
Why apple never does real solutions and people from outside are able to solve it? Maybe because we have to buy an iPod every 2 years or something...
And then everybody laughs with the comercials on TV against PC. How funny right? I don't know what is more funny here.

I just downloaded the Adobe CS6 Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign trials--and now all my Pages documents are gobbledygook.

On my MacBook Pro (2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, running Mac OS X, 10.7.3), after downloading the Adobe CS6 apps, my Pages documents show up as completely random (at least it seems that way to me) characters.
For example, Somebody HELP me! is rendered as Uqo gdqf { "J GNR" o g#
Is anyone else experiencing a problem such as this. And more importantly, does anyone have an idea how to STOP experiencing a problem such as this?

Seems the CS6 installation has knocked off some of your fonts or replaced them.
Good old Adobe, another whole cycle of bugs!

Bridgetalk InDesign CS3 to Illustrator CS5?

Is it possible to have these two programs communicate? Or will I have to use strictly the CS3 programs or CS5 programs? I simply want to click on a link in InDesign and have it open in Illustrator so I can edit it. Everything I've read hasn't really touched on interoperabilty of Bridgetalk between CS versions. Thanks.

Nate, Im at home now where my little mac has CS2 & CS5… This opened a selected PDF in AI CS5 from ID CS2 ( if it was already running )… If AI CS5 was not running bridgetalk did NOT launch it like I would normally expect… The message just queues until I launch it… Strange? I tested with both versions of AI running too and it was OK. I had the PDF selected with the direct selection tool…

Trying to re-install CS5 but some applications are still open

Hi! After the computer shop had my computer they removed all of my software. I'm trying to reinstall CS5 from disk, but I keep on getting asked to close the applications :"safariCloudHisto" and "SafariNotificati" but nothing is open and I can't work out where these things (obviously abbreviated) even are. I've also just upgraded to Yosemite .

Without proper system info nobody can tell you anything. As a start, download the DMG again using a more suitable browser like Firefox.
