3 years on..... A complete re-scan?

Hi All,
I invested in ITunes Match approx 3 years back and have to say i am fairly pleased with the service to date.
I have a quick query regarding files that were not matched at that moment in time and were subsequently uploaded because they were not available in the ITunes store.
What is the situation if files are now available and you want to download from the store as the uploaded file was less than 256 Bitrate?
Is there anyway to use the ITunes match tool to completely "Re-Scan" all uploaded files to see if they are now available in the ITunes store?
In essence, you chance the status from uploaded to matched and remove the uploaded files accordingly.
You can then simply download the 256 Bitrate version not only to your PC but also other iOS devices that are using ITunes Match.
Not sure if the Smart Playlist feature can be used to assist but thought i would ask the community for help?
There is no guarantee that that Match will find the files as sometimes it misses songs that are available but thought its worth a try.

Hi,
SImply re-scanning previously uploaded tracks is unlikely to achieve a match as iTunes match will recognise that the track has been previously uploaded.
If you still have the original CDs, I suggest that you rerip them on a different format. Alternatively, make a new copy of the existing track on a different format. This will not help improve the quality of the tracks but you may find that you might get a match but don't expect much success.

Officejet L7680 won't complete a scan. Windows 8.1

I have Dell desktop with Windows 8.1. I recently had to install a new hard drive and reinstall all my software. Prior to that I had Windows 8.0 and my Officejet L7680 printed and scanned just fine. After the new hard drive, it will not complete a scan and the HP scan app gets hung up. I upgraded to 8.1 and installed the proper drivers from HP for Windows 8.1. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers a number of times. I've also used the HP Scrubber to remove all the software twice using Uninstall_L4.bat. No luck. Also tried HP Print & Scan Doctor and even it gets hung up. I'm about to just dump the printer and go get a new one. Since I've owned this printer I've always had issues with the software.

Welcome back to the Forums, I see it's been a couple of months since you last posted.
I understand that you are getting an error message when trying to scan with you Officejet L7680. I have included a document with detailed trouble shooting steps to take. You may have done some of the steps already, but it is important to perform the steps in the order they are presented.

This could well be the notorious Mac Defender - which is an annoying program that tricks you into thinking that your Mac is infected with a virus, when the only infection is Mac Defender itself.
When surfing the web never EVER click on a link that says "Free anti-virus scan" or "Scan now" - they are nearly always scams which will end up infecting your computer. Although Macs are resistant to viruses, they're not resistant to user stupidity.
If you Google "Mac defender" then you'll find plenty of sites with instructions on how to remove this minor nuisance. Take this as a warning that you need to be more careful in your surfing habits.

Im getting an not enough memory to complete this scanning operation error

I am using a WIA-HP CLJ CM1312 Scanner with Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Version 9.4.6
This machine is Windows XP with 3gigs of RAM and plenty of HDD space....
When I try to make a color copy at a Resolution of 1200DPI I get an error saying that - "There is not enough memory to complete this scanning operation." It only works at 600DPI
I dont understand why I am getting this error. I would have thought my upgrade to 3gigs of RAM would have fixed this error.

1200 dpi can actually mean a lot of memory.

Just upgraded to Mavericks. Now I cannot access scans from my hp scanner. After it complete the scans and I try to save as tiff, jpeg or pdf I get a either a grey blur or a message that says cannot save because the file cannot be written to.

Go to the HP site and look for drivers for your scanner. It apparently needs an updated driver to work with Mavericks.

I have worked on Oracle 9i database and i have basic knowledge about Sql commands and i am planning to go for Oracle 10g Certification does it make any difference if i do not take ORACLE 9i Certification and directly go on to do my Certification.

Since it seems App related, I'm not sure what to offer you. I guess the only suggestion I have is for you to reboot your iPad and then try again. To reboot, hold the power and home buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds (keep holding past the swipe to shut down bar if it appears) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart. You won't lose any settings or data, so it's worth a shot.

I believe Firefox is infected by a trojan virus, I run a complete virus scan but it does not pick up anything

I believe the virus is associated with firefox, I run a complete scan using McAfee, anti virus, but it shows up nothing. Firefox constantly shows no responding signs, then it will be normal again. Or I have to go into task manager and end firefox.
There is a fake transaction from my bank account, is there anyway I an remove the trojan?

try with a few malware/virus scan programs. You need to use all programs because each detects different malware. Make sure to update each program to get the latest version before doing a scan.

Can't get this multifunction unit to complete a scan! Help!

ARG! I have a Samsung Laser multi-function SCX-4521F. It overall works great, except they designed it so it doesn't send a signal over USB when turned on, therefore, I have to plug and unplug the USB cable or log in and out in order for the printer to be recognized. And a few other minor design complaints, but the quality and reliability is great.
Now I'm trying to scan and after getting a nearly successful preview showing that actual image data is getting transferred, I then get this pop up:

It seems to be related to some TWAIN issue. Sometimes activity monitor shows the Twainbridge hanging. It consistently gives this error if I unplug the Samsung during an operation, and it always happens just after getting the preview mostly done. I've got the latest drivers installed. If I use Photoshop, then it crashes after this happens. Image Capture just stops working. If I unplug the USB and start everything over, I can do a preview again, but I've never been able to get a successful scan. Samsung support has been unhelpful in the past and I'm just getting so overwhelmed. Can anyone possibly come up with a solution or suggestion or anything??
In the past, I had an EPSON inkjet all-in-one and though I tried to uninstall everything, I'm not sure I did everything perfect (but I really do know what I'm doing and I searched out everything I could think of). Maybe something of that is part of the problem. Overall, I'd go with Samsung's developers being a bunch of half-assers and jerk-offs. Still, it got the image into the computer during preview, so it's working in a way, I just need it to keep going and let me do the scan! AIGH

I installed a generic scanner thing to see if I could use that driver... and then somehow the normal drivers and normal interface for the scanning actually started working. I don't know what got fixed, but I'm happy it works now.

HP B110a doesn't complete the scans

I'm not able anymore to scan using HP Scanning (in fact IrfanView+HP TWAIN that "triggers" the HP Scanning SW) . The scan starts but it "hangs" showing an "half-page" scanned. The only way to "conclude" the process is by "killing" the associated tasks via task manager. My PC is connected to the printer using an USB cable.
Surprisingly it scans without problems using the WebScan Option (which is much more limited than the desktop version).
Yesterday I've uninstalled and installed all the drivers and software but it didn't solve the problem.
Any tips will be welcome

Please try the below steps...
1) press WIN + R to display RUN box. Type in %TEMP% and hit OK .
Delete the content of the TEMP folder.
Restart the PC.
Now try scanning.
2) if issue still exist then download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from www.hp.com/go/tools

Aperture 3 causing iMovie 8 to crash, can't complete a scan for movies

Anyone else having this issue?
My A3 library works well in other instances
- works in Media Browser for other programs like Pages and iWeb
- successfully integrated two different iPhoto Libraries
So I'm past the basic myriad installation issues, but now cannot use iMovie. And I can't find any way to prevent iMovie from doing an Aperture library scan! So A3 is depriving me from using iMovie 8.0.5.
Big problem! Anyone finding a workaround or a solution?

I have the same problem since the day I used Aperture 3. When I open iMovie 09, it scans for new vids and quit unexpectedly. I gone through the crash log and I believe that this might be a result of "lack of memory" or "too many vids". However, I don't really understand why. I have a MBP with 3.06GHz and 8GB of RAM. Anyway, I found out two stupid methods to get around it. FIrst, you can turn of preview in Aperture's preferences before you open iMovie. This would prevent iMovie from scanning/updating the Aperture library. However, the download side is that you can no longer access Aperture photos from anywhere else, like iTunes,iWeb, iWork etc. So, I recommend you to turn if off when you use iMovie only. The second method is to create a new empty Aperture library and switch to that library every time you use iMovie. Then, switch it back to the normal one after using iMovie......
However, these two methods seems to be a bit silly and are not directly addressing the problem. So, I hope someone can help me.

I used pxi 6071E daq card to acquire 115v 400hz AC signals.when I use mutichannel scan function,I find that the voltage of waveforms have much more error.The voltage error is about 0~15v.please you can tell me why this happened?how to solve it.

As you are scanning multiple channels and the signal range is high, you can try to set the interchannel delay a little higher. The interchannel delay is the time which the multiplexer will take to switch to the next channel. If that time is to short, the instrumentation amplifier can have problems to settle, and then an error at the reading will happen.
You can change the Interchannel delay at the AI Config.vi.

I did that, but when I click on "Album" I get this "album by year", but as I was trying to fix it, it changed name, now it is "Album by artist" which is NOT "Album Artist" on the list.
