30 Gig IPOD, can see videos but no sound.

I can see my videos, but I can not hear them in itunes nor ipod itself. Basically I load the movies and then press convert movies for viewing on the IPOD which is an extremely long process, and from there I load it to the IPOD and I can not hear anything. As stated before the videos are soundless in Itunes as well.

You have to convert them using third party software, here see this link for some freeware programs that will do the job for you and explain the process. There is another program I will also give you a link to that is free as well and works great.

TS5150 I got my Apple TV a year ago as gift. I was mirroring from my Macbook Air ok until today. I can mirror video but the sound stay on my Mac.

When I use Airplay, I can mirror video from my Macbook Air but there was no sound from TV (the sound on my Air still on). I had use my Mac to do Airplay for six months without problem until now. Welcome to the Apple Community psalay.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
    1.    Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
    2.    Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
    3.    Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
    4.    Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    5.    Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    6.    Restart your mobile device.

Ipod classic with video but no sound on music

I can not get any of my songs to make noise, my volume is set all the way up w/o a lock. The video and music viedos plays with sound but the songs don't!!help?!?

Hello, I am not familiar with FF, using IE6. But what caught my eye is you said you downloaded the active x plugin "when prompted"
That is how I came to know there even was a F.P.10 update, a window popped up and said it was availabe and did I want to install now,
later or remind me later. I said, sure, install now. LOL I have since resolved my problem.
I know on the Adobe site, there is a download and install for Windows and one for FF. Do you think the "prompt" installed on IE? I wouldn't think so, but it's a thought. I know you can switch back and forth from FF to IE
Also it might be a good idea to go to www.adobe.com/software/flash/about and Adobe will tell you if you have installed F.P. & they will tell you the version as well.
Like I said, not familiar with FF, but with IE, I had to go into manage add ons & update the active x of Shockwave Flash & Reboot.

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

Connected ipod to tv, picture but no sound

i have a 30GB and i'm connecting to my tv witha 3rd party set of RCA cables i can see picture but no sound. don't know how to fix, did i do something wrong when i converted files or what? help, please

I have a little bit different problem but its close to this.
I have installed the .10 version and now i cant see any Video on youtube. And it does not play any sound. It not opens anything with flash player.
I deinstalled and rebootet the player. I installed the new version again. 10 times....
I also tried an old version. The 2 older versions. No change -.- its really annoying.

Ipod not seeing videos

someone please help...My son bought a bunch of tv shows through the i-tunes store and downloaded them to the computer. they show up in his library on i-tunes, but won't go on to his i-pod....I've updated every thing that I can think of but the shows still don't show up on his i-pod...please help

What methods have you tried to get the videos onto the iPod? Does your son use manual updating with drag-and-drop to move content onto the iPod, or is he set up for auto-updating?
If he manages things manually, it should be as simple as dragging the TV show files from his iTunes library and dropping them onto his iPod icon.
One more thing - sorry if this is already totally obvious to you - not all iPods can play videos. Only the 30- and 60- gig video iPods can. If your son has a non-video iPod, a friendly email to iTunes tech support explaining the mistake might get him a refund. After all, they should be able to see very clearly on their end whether or not the iPod he has registered is capable of playing videos.

the new iPods are not working with firewire... I think you can purchase a firewire cable to plug your iPod, but it will only charge the battery, no transfer is possible
your iPod will work with usb 1, but it will be slower and it won't charge the battery
so you have to buy a usb power adapter (in an Apple Store or on the Apple web site)

1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten passcode:
Restore (and reset passcode) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:

Skype; They can see me but I can't see them.

Well, I know this seems obvious but, try checking your video privacy preferences and see if everything is ok. You could also ask your mates to do the same with their machines.
Other thing you could do is to install the latest version of Skype that was released last Wednesday. The link is here http://www.skype.com/intl/en/download/skype/macosx/ .
Ask your mates which version they use as well.
I've been using Skype for a quite while and I have absolutely NO issues with Mac/Win videoconferencing.
I hope you manage to fix that.
