i recently downgraded to win xp from vista basic due to super poor performance. but xp isn't finding my network adapter. i was told to get drivers. so i came to this site and downloaded what i thought was the right network driver but still no adapter. i have been trying to get this computer online for 4 days now to no avail. please help

Hi I own an HP Pavilion dv6-3043ee, 64bit and running Windows 7. And somehow the network adapter for the LAN got uninstalled for some reason. Now after posting something on the site I finally downloaded the driver for my laptop.
Now another problem, after or at the end of the installation process a pop up message was shown:
"The Realtek Network Controller was not found,
If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable."
Now I checked Device Manager to see if the Realtek Network Adapter was there but it wasn't. All I can see are:
-Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n Wifi Adapter
-Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
-Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocl TDI)
-TAP-Windows Adapter V9

If device is identified but there is no driver for it, it will be appeared as unknown device in Device Manager with question mark icon (?), are you seeing such thing in device manager?
If not, you should refer to your PC manufacturer's website and download.
Make sure report this issue using Feedback App.

Intel My wifi technology adapter not found

Hello ! I got problem.
Some days ago my wifi worked fine until now .Now i got error like this: adapter not found. Can't access wifi anymore. I think my drivers are updated, i had downloaded the latest from your site. I tried format, but that didn't help too, system restore didn't help, unistalling old drivers and installing new drivers didn't help. But sometimes it will find my wireless connections and it will work fine, but sometimes it's gone. Currently i'm connected with cable. I have tried many solutions but none of them have helped me. Can you answer what to do?

In device manager, network adapters, Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter.
Make sure the box is checked, allow computer to turn off this device to save power. If the box is unchecked, the My WiFi Adapter will go missing.

V570 intel wifi technology adapter not found

I have re-installed Win 7 OS, and installed all drivers except for the WIFI, I have 3 driver folders WIDI, WIMAX, WLAN..I am not sure what all 3 of them do, I would first like to know that.
2ndly I want to install wireless setup on this, somebody please help me do this as I am having trouble understanding on how to do this..I tried all of them where WIDI set up says the device is not compatible, while other errors are ADAPTER NOT FOUND.

BDP-S390 Wireless Adapter not found

I purchsaed my BDP-S390 2 days ago and the internet was working perfectly, then this morning when I tried to use it, it wasn't working (getting unable to connect) so I reset the Network settings and tried setting up the adapter again (my wireless is working fine on my laptop and smart phone) and now I'm getting an error message saying that the Wireless LAN Adapter can't be found and to check the devices USB port, but the adapter is built-in. I've reset the Network settings (and the device) a couple of times and it doesn't fix it, anything else I can try? Thanks.

I have updated my BDP-S390 to the latest firmware (via burning a CD from downloaded file), and still get the message about "USB Wireless LAN Adapter not found". Somewhere in this forum, advice was given to then restore the unit to factory settings, which I did, but I still get the error message. Call to telephone support said that means the built-in LAN adapter is broken, and I have 3 choices: 1. Send the unit in for repair (a lot of trouble, and I'd have to pay since it's more than a year old).2. Buy a USB LAN adapter (I have to purchase).3. Hardwire the unit to my internet gateway with an ethernet cable (impractical, since in different part of house). I find it completely unacceptable that my unit suddenly stopped working like this. I find it unbelievable that there was an actual hardware failure within my unit, since so many people report the same failure (or if it is, it's a systemic failure that Sony should fix for free, else supply the USB adapter). Error message stating "Network resources not found"

I distributed a form and now I am receiving a message stating "Network Resources Not Found". What can I do? Nothing has been changed since the form was distributed and the "help person" was no help when talking to them.

The forms are saved on my personal computer and they have not been moved since they were created. The form was given an open access so that anyone could access and complete/submit the form. It had been working perfectly until Tuesday when the error message started to appear.

SCCM Install fails. cannot connect to SQL server. "the network was not found"

I'm installing SCCM 2012. i have a 2 server boxes. 1x sccm and 1x dedicated SQL. sccm installation is stuck @ connecting to DB.
SQL server is 2012 with SP2, static 1433 port used.installation account used is already sysadmin, sccm computer account also added into SQL local admins. ports 1433, 4022, 445 are already FW open in between SCCM box and SQL Box?

The docs are "proper". They give you all the technical details needed. They assume however that you know how to translate the stated requirements, like the ports necessary (as documented at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh427328.aspx ), into the environment you are working in. They cannot give you a click by click guide because that would only be applicable to
generic lab environments.

A desktop is failing to join in Domain over a VSAT link. Error: Network path not found.

Facing an issue for adding a desktop in Domain over VSAT. When I say enter after typing the domain name which i want to join. I am asked for User name and Password. After User name and password is entered it waits for a long
time and then it gives an error as Network Path not Found. I am pretty surprised why is it happening like that.
In hosts file too I am mentioning the IP of the DC at my Data Center.
I have another site over VSAT which has worst latency and more RTO's than this one, but on that site I am able to add a desktop in Domain. I don't have domain controller at the remote site which is connected by VSAT.

Please do not hardcode the domain IP address in your HOSTS file. That will just create issues.
Please make sure that your client computer points only to internal DNS servers for DNS resolutions.
You can use NSlookup to make sure that DNS resolution for your DCs A and SRV records are working properly:

Forms: network resources not found

I created forms using Adobe 9 standard, and distributed them to over 100 people. Everything was working great until Nov24, not it says "network resourses not found" i called adobe directly, and was told on Monday that there is an issue with Acrobat.com due to upgrades, should be fixed by Wedn. the issues is still a problem. I have called several 800 numbers for adobe trying to get to the correct department and have been hung up on 8 times! i am getting completely frustrated! Is there an issue with Acrobat.com? is it fixed? what number can i call to get someone who can actually help me??

Network card not found after new installation [SOLVED]

I broke my filesystem on my Asus UL80V series laptop in trying to solve problems related to the latest glibc update, so decided to do a clean re-install. I had an installation disk at hand: 2009.08 with kernel 2.6.30.4-1 (which is supposed to have the module for my ath9k network device). However after a successful installation (including all the files from base-dev), my network device is not recognised:
dhcpcd: eth0: interface not found or invalid
although network connectivity (wired and wireless) worked perfectly before the installation attempt.
This happened yesterday (17th) and I have been scouring the web since trying to find out what the cause of this problem is, without luck.
I also burned a new installation CD with the latest stable version, but no luck there, either! Got a message at the beginning informing me that the install requires 64 Mb memory, although my laptop has 4 Gb.
I should say, the device is there and working:
lspci | grep Net

Argh, ip may not be around in the 2009 image really ;-) .. Use "ifconfig" instead..
But: I meanwhile cross-checked your ath9k: http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Dri … h9k_driver
and it does not sound encouraging for the kernel you have there.
The image is far too old anyway, if you ask me (would be a darn hazzle to get that uptodate I am sure). Pity you get that memory error with the 2011 one. Maybe check forums on that. Sounds very strange, I am not aware of any post I read.
If you can burn another CD, you can try the recent ISOs as well: http://releng.archlinux.org/isos/
Beware that the ones from July dont have the AIF setup anymore.

Bluetooth adapter not found

Hi,
I've been using bluetooth (installed accordingly to wiki). Now after few days I wanted to send some files and suddenly it's not working and in system settings I've got notification, that Bluetooth adapter isn't found.
Looks like it's disabled by hardware but the laptop has only button to disable both WLAN and Bluetooth, but WLAN is working properly. I've also done some searching in BIOS if there isn't something that might fix it, but unsuccessfully, e.g. in Windows 7 it's working and as I mentioned above it has been working in Arch as well.
Anybody idea how to fix this?

Network Adapter not working on Boot camp (windows 8)

I have recenlty installed Windows 8 via Boot camp and every thing okay except Wireless connection not detect and I found that there is ? mark on Network adapter in the Device manger which means there is a problem installing the device. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing happend.
I try to serach for a solution but I could not Please help me with that!

Satellite C855 Wifi Adapter not found

I saw simliar posts but I still have not found the answer I am looking for. I have a C855 which was a best buy about 5 months ago. About 3 weeks ago, the wifi started to disconnect without warning. All my other 6 wifi connections (tv's and other devices) work fine to this day. It was tough to get restarted but eventually I did. (I could not tell you what I did, it seemed to have a mind of its own). About two weeks ago, the Realtek adapter quit showing up in device manager. I am thinking it is a hardware probelem. I don't recall any updates and my anti-virus was uptodate. I took it to my geek and they tried to update and troubleshoot it through the ethernet connection which works well. Their diagnosis was a software problem and suggested I "refresh" my computer. If it did not work, then diagnosis started at $199. I paid $350 for the computer. Of course, I refreshed it and nothing changed. Any suggestions before I go back to a Dell?

MSI GAMING 970: Network drivers not found

Good day,
I have encountered an issue, made more confusing as i was playing a MMO when it occurred. MSI GAMING 970
Network drivers are missing:
"Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver"
so I try to reinstall them. then I get the error message :
"The realtek network controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug The Cable"
The case has not been opened, the computer was on and running a game at the time of the fault.
Anyone got any ideas?
