3000 n-100 Motherboard repalcement

My daughter spilled some Pepsi on her Lenovo and after taking it apart I have found that it has corroded/eaten the legs off some of the diodes and resistors on the board.  At first I thought I might be able to solder them but it is too far gone.
Does anyone know of a place to find motherboards for this?
What motherboards swap with the 41W-8032 boards?
Thank you
CB

You can contact Lenovo. I don't know if they would still have parts for this generation laptops. Your second optioin is Ebay. The motherboard is not cheap but is avaialable. Click

  • Maximum drive size for Lenovo 3000 N 100

    Hello,
I've done what I could this past week but I still haven't got a reliable, serious answer to this question. My hard drive died on me after the guarantee period (obviously) and I'd like to have it replaced with a much bigger drive. Will a 160Gb or 250 Gb or a 320 Gb (that's the one I'd like most) be compatible? I've been told by shops and by the repair company that handles Lenovo that I can't exchange a hard drive once it's bought and opened. However, noone has been able to tell me what size the motherboard/system will handle for sure.
Can anyone shed any light on this issue. Lenovo just replied with the official data that the hard drives below are compatible (see info pasted below) and tested by Lenovo, while the repair company said OK to a 250 Gb drive I wanted to buy.

    Hi.
If you're through with your warranty, you have nothing to worry about - changing the HDD will not affect it as it is already wasted. So, you may insert any SATA drive you like - even SSD, since it emulates HDD behaviour.
All systems that do not recognise HDD's over 137 gb were lifetimed at 2005 as far as I remember.

  • 3000 N 100 / 0768 59G: kein sound unter windows 8.1

    Hallo,
Ich will mein notebook 300N100 0768 59G von Windows XP auf Windows 8 or 8.1 umziehen.
Alles ist gut, nur die Sundkarte "soundmax integrated digital hd audio" funktioniert nicht.
    Kein sound.
Ich habe einige Treiber getestet: soundmax
    - Analog_Device_SoundMAX_6.10.02.6585
    - lenovo-httpsoundmax-integrated-digital-hd-audio.drivers.informer.com-7ka216ww
    - sp45115

    - SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio Driver 6.10.1.5140

  • BIOS Settings Problem on KT3 Ultra2 MS-6380E with Barton 3000+(FSB333)

Well, I finally got my Barton 3000+ with 333 MHz FSB and installed it yesterday in my MSI KT3 Ultra2 Mainboard....
    System Before changing anything:
    PSU: DTK  400 W
    +3.3 V / 22 A
    +5 V / 35 A
    +12 V / 15 A
    -5 V / 0.5 A
    -12 V / 0.8 A
    +5 V VSB / 3 A
So that should make up 400 W as far as I know, my total System drain should be around 300-350 W so even if it would not suffice 400 W it should run the system ?
    Mainboard: KT3 Ultra 2 (BIOS v5.7)
CPU: AMD XP 2100 FSB 133 MHz
    RAM: 1.536 MB, 3x512 MB Infineon PC3200 (400MHz) CL 3-3-3-8 @400MHz, Cl2.5-3-3-7@333Mhz, 2-2-2-6@266MHz
VGA: MSI RX-9800 Pro 128 MB
    DVD/CD-R/RW-Combo: Plextor PX-708 (Firmware 1.08)
    CD-R/RW: TEAC CD-W540E (Firmware 1.0K)
Storage: Western Digital WD800BB (80 GB) (Firmware 17.07W17)
    USB-Storage: Maxtor 4 K080 H4 (80 GB)
Monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 172T with Driver Version 1.0
Printer: HP Deskjet 970Cxi with Original HP Driver Version 4.3
OS: Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4
BIOS Settings: SDRAM 1T Command: "Disabled" It won't work stable with 3 RAM's in it with that setting, but that I did know before.
    CPU Fast Command: "Ultra"
System was running stable for nearly 2 years with this Configuration:
    So now it goes:
First I changed the CPU form my old AMD XP 2100+ to the new Barton 3000 + with its new Arctic Cool Copper Silent 2TC.
Then I went into BIOS and raised the FSB to 166 MHz, which should be the correct one, or do I have to put 167 MHz in there (since 166.666666 MHz is rounded to 167)?
Then I exited and watched the restart...but it didn't start-up it only got me 3 long beeps at the HOST.
After some whining and beating I plugged out anything and cleared CMOS and started the whole thing again:
    System after Clearing CMOS:
    Mainboard: KT3 Ultra 2 (BIOS v5.7)
CPU: AMD XP 3000+  FSB 100 MHz
RAM: 1x512 MB Infineon PC3200 CL 2-3-3-7 (BIOS setting CAS Latency by "SPD")
Storage: Western Digital WD800BB (80 GB) (Firmware 17.07W17)
Monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 172T with Driver Version 1.0
OS: Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4
With all Default settings, the Computer boots up, and is correctly Recognized as a Barton 1300 MHz.
When increasing FSB to 133 MHz it is correctly displayed as a Barton 2200+
    NOW...
...after adding one BIOS setting after another I narrowed the problem down to the "CPU Fast Command (decode)" Function...if set to Ultra it does not boot-up when running 166 MHz FSB, it does not even let me into BIOS. I have to clear CMOS and restart from scratch again...
Is this normal and expectable with a Barton 3000+ running at the native 166 MHz FSB or not ?
Since my system before was running on "Ultra" with my old AMD XP 2100+.
There is only one more thing I noticed, the CPU V-Core is shown to be only 1.616 V (setting on "Auto" but it should be 1.65 V ? Should I increase the V-Core to 1.675 V in order to get closer to 1.65 V or shouldn't I worry about ?
Thanks for any Input you can give me on the problem.
    Iscaran

Iscaran, you are indeed correct in the statement which you made

This setting can be set to fast/ultra on the KT3 Ultra2 when using PC2100 ram running at 266. However, when using PC2700 ram running at 333, this setting MUST be set to normal for the satisfactory operation of the board. I know that you have PC3200 ram actually installed but it is only running at 333.

    Yes, absolutely normal

How are you measuring this ie Bios or o/s utility? Not unknown that these are incorrect. However, if you feel unhappy about this, try setting the V-core manually to 1.65v and check what this gives.
    Quote
So 3.3 V x 22 A gives 72.6 W, that could be really a little cutting the edge. Could that cause the board to not respond when setting the "CPU Fast Command" to "Ultra" ?
Getting a more powerful psu will not likely cure this well documented problem.
However, this board mostly draws power from the 3.3 & 5v rails. The 12v is mostly used to power HDD, optical and fans. When you consider that 128Mb of ram draws about 8-10w from the 5v rail and you have a total of 1.5Gb that adds up to 96-120W of juice just for the memory alone. This board will beep at you at o/s level when it's running underpowered but my opinion is the same as osnavi's your 3.3v & 5v rails are too low. Also what is combined 3.3v & 5v wattage. What kind of reading do you get on monitoring utilities.
By the way I have as you can see from my dets below the same board and cpu as you and when I changed from a XP2000 Palomino with PC2100 ram to XP3000 Barton and PC3200, I changed the 'Fast Command' setting from 'Fast' to 'Normal'
Hope this helps, enjoy the board

  • Power Book 100

    Here's the question.
I have an old powerbook 100 without a power supply. I found a universal power supply, you know the type selectable voltage and reversible polarity.
What I don't know is what the polarity of the connector socket on the back of the power book is.
Does anyone know if it is Centre Pin + or Centre Pin -
There is also a two position switch to the right of the DC socket and I don't understand the symbols I can't make out if it is a selector switch between battery and mains or a polarity reversal switch ?
    Can any one help
I would like to try and see if it boots but don't want to risk blowing the computer or my digital PSU

More notes on the PB 100 here:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=16168
points worth noting ( direct quotes from that page:
Note: "This adapter was replaced by model M4662."
"The fourth AC adapter, 17 W, came with PowerBook 150 computers, and works with PowerBook 100 or 150 computers.
Warning: Using an AC adapter that produces more than 19 W with a PowerBook 100 or 150 computer will damage the computer's logic board."
The irony is that the M5140 for the PB 100 was repalced by the same power supply that replaced the 24W for the 180c but the warning seemingly contradicts the replacement note.
This also gives some good background info. Still looking for the 100 power supply.
    This link:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=30804
leads to an outdated PB100 panel link. Time to hit google.

  • Problem with UEFI

Hello everyone, do not be lazy, read the whole brain itself already eaten.
Problem: run the system at full UEFI such fichey for W8.1 as a quick start.
There: W8.1 on SSD with GPT layout, tough, too, with GPT, two video cards MSI 780 Lightning updated bios with GOP (bios to UEFI, NV296MH.131), the mother with the latest MSI Xpower bios 1.7.
Now the actual problem: on the one card everything is OK (no matter which card of the two and it does not matter which slot), windows runs very fast with a sign instead of the MSI wind, while he puts the UEFI BIOS and can not be changed if you select w8. 1 features enabled, that is, it works. Now if the second card set, then in the BIOS under Internal GOP configuration writes N / A, that is, the BIOS does not see not one of them (in this case in the boot partition is now present a choice between Legacy bios and UEFI). With two cards, if you reboot, then I see a black screen, the post code will always burn at 97mi (97 far as I understand, it's sort of like there is a identification card, which he did not find never until pull out one of them) or do discharge the board, in order to go to the default settings without w8.1 features. Bios on the same maps with support for UEFI, sews the bios in the Xpower all known methods: live update, dos, M-flash with ME. I will be glad to any thoughts. Thank you.

  • Primary ide location in mdd

I just got an dual 1 ghz resurrected with a new PS I found reasonably priced on ebay. The carrier was missing for the slot right in front of the processor. So I put the boot drive in the carrier under the optical drives. So which IDE channel is considered primary and which is secondary, the one by the optical IDE connector or the one by the heat sink? Also I read there was a a 66 MHZ IDE controller. Does anyone have a link to a board walkthrough for this machine. It is the firewire 400 167 MHZ bus model.

Some models of that carrier have a single Phillips shipping screw. The screw is not mentioned in the manuals. It is fairly obvious on the frontmost carrier (looks rather like a shipping screw) but more subtle on the rearmost carrier -- it is above the carrier on the wall, and is not clear (until you remove it) whether it is holding the carrier in place.
I would also add that the -66 and -100 drive cables also appear to be interchangeable (in case yours has been robbed). The -100 motherboard connector is flipped on its side, so that the blue (controller) end of the cable can be installed to give the Back drive the end (Master) connector, and the front drive in the same carrier the gray (Slave) connector.

  • Oracle 11g:Query to return only 1 to 1 relationship & random selection

    Hi
I have a complex query to modify but I have below the sample tables and data with only very few fields(only affected fields).
Query based on 2 tables b_test and s_test.
    Pls see below.
    create table b_test(building_id number not null,invalid varchar2(1));
    create table s_test(sub_building_id number not null,building_id number ,invalid varchar2(1),sequence_no number);
    insert into b_test values (1000,'N');
    insert into b_test values(2000,'N');
    insert into b_test values(3000,'N');
    commit;
    insert into s_test values(1,1000,'N',90);
    insert into s_test values(2,1000,'N',91);
    insert into s_test values(3,1000,'N',92);

Thanks for posting the CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, and your existing query; that's very helpful.
The query below returns all rows required:(also see results:)
    select b.building_id,b.invalid,s.sub_building_id,s.sequence_no from b_test b,

    3000             N     10                      99
    3000             N     11                     100
When I run your query, I get NULL for sequence_no on the last 2 rows, where building_id=3000. The numbers 99 and 100 don't seem to occur in either table. Did you post the worng sample data and/or results?

(Pls help with query) Here's one way:
    WITH       got_r_num  AS
         SELECT  sub_building_id
         ,     building_id
         ,     sequence_no
         ,     ROW_NUMBER () OVER ( PARTITION BY  building_id
                                   ORDER BY          sequence_no
                           )         AS r_num
         FROM    s_test
         WHERE     invalid     = 'N'
    SELECT    b.building_id
    ,       b.invalid
    ,       r.sub_building_id
    ,       r.sequence_no
    FROM             b_test     b
    LEFT OUTER JOIN      got_r_num  r  ON  r.building_id  = b.building_id
    WHERE     NVL ( r.r_num
               , 1
               )          = 1
    ORDER BY  b.building_id
;This is called a Top-N Query , because we're picking N items (N = 1 in this case) from the top of an ordered list. What makes one item the "top", and another one "lower"? That's determined by the analytic ORDER BY clause, in this case
ORDER BY      sequence_noThat means the row with the lowest sequence_no (for each building_id) will get r_num=1. If you want a random row from that building_id to be chosen as #1, then you can change the analytic ORDER BY clause to
ORDER BY      dbms_random.valueYou can ORDER BY anything you like, even a constant, but you must have an analytic ORDER BY clause. ROW_NUMBER requires an analytic ORDER BY clause.
    The results would be like
    BUILDING_ID INVALID     SUB_BUILDING_ID     SEQUENCE_NO
    1000               N     1                      90
    2000               N     1                      94
    3000               N     11                     100
Again, I don't see where the 100 comes from. The results I get are:
    BUILDING_ID I SUB_BUILDING_ID SEQUENCE_NO
           1000 N               1          90
           2000 N               1          94
           3000 N              11
2)How can the same SEQUENCE_NO be shown for all sub_buildings for the same building? (Pls help with query)
    SELECT    b.building_id
    ,       b.invalid
    ,       s.sub_building_id
    ,       MIN (s.sequence_no) OVER ( PARTITION BY  s.building_id)
                            AS seq_no
    FROM             b_test  b
    LEFT OUTER JOIN      s_test  s  ON  s.building_id  = b.building_id
                                AND s.invalid      = 'N'
    The results will be:
    BUILDING_ID INVALID     SUB_BUILDING_ID     SEQUENCE_NO
    1000             N     1                       90
    1000             N     2                       90

    3000             N     10                       99
    3000             N     11                       99
Again, I don't see where you get sequence_no = 99. The results I get are:
    BUILDING_ID I SUB_BUILDING_ID     SEQ_NO
           1000 N               1         90

It looks like you cahnged your sample data from
    insert into s_test values(10,3000,'N',NULL);
    insert into s_test values(11,3000,'N',NULL);to
    insert into s_test values(10,3000,'N',99);
insert into s_test values(11,3000,'N',100);The queries I posted are niow getting 99, like you requested.

  • Solaris 8 on PC100 M7** mainboards

    Dear All
Has anyone successfully installed Solaris 8 on a PC100 M7** mainboard?? A number of users have experienced kernel panics and BAD TRAP failures when installing with IDE devices - they can't get past the DCA part of the install.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
    Simon

I'm having problems with a PC-100 motherboard as well.
I've installed WinNT, Win 2K, Win 9x, Linux a number of times, but I can't get the DCA floppy nor the CD install disk to boot. Or maybe it boots, but then hangs. My system has a new ASUS CUBX PC-100 motherboard (OK -- apparently not on the HCL...).

  • Help in reading DBANALYZER output -

    Hi Experts
I have gotten really good results so far - now I am bottlenecked at 2/3 of the test load level.  I expected
to get 3000 connection run - but at 2200 I am hitting
a jam.  It is a light weight OLTP test.  The param
    settings are below.
Any suggestions for experiments would be appreciated!  I like MaxDB....:-)
    1.  Can MAXCPU be higher then the number of physical CPUs?
    2.  Are the Warnings showing something that I need to change some parameter?
The only parameter that I have changed is MAXCPU, from 7 to 8.  The system is an 8 core sparc.  I have gotten good results up to a point but I am now bottlnecked.  The
Vmstat output shows  User/System at 75%/25%.  Its Flat out.
The I/O is only the LOG volume -
    IOSTAT:

75% of the cpus are due to MaxDB - So I ran dbanalyzer.  Can anyone comment on the W messages or anything else that might be of interest.

  • Graphics card problems!

    hello..
i have an emachines pc 3230 that has an integrated graphics unit intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV graphics controller which is pretty crappy. i got a radeon 9600 pro to upgraded my comp and installed as follows..
uninstalled intel drivers, turn off comp, connect 9600 in the AGP slot, turn comp on enter BIOS setings n disabled the intel onboard card. in the BIOS there is no option were u can select the AGP slot on or off just an option allowing u to select the MB of the card. it was on auto so i changed it to 256 which the card had. save n exit. turn on comp and big black screen.... but when i turn the pc on i can still enter the BIOS settings when the monitor is pluged into the graphics card. What is wrong? there looks to be power to the card as the fan spins round and the pc seems to load up normally into xp but there is just a black screen after the initial boot up and will not reach xp.. i have checked all connections but it has made no dfference..
i would think my motherboard is compatable too as it has an AGP slot and the 9600 pro will support 4x 8x but i have no idea wot could be wrong..
    here is my comp specs

    Qtech
The worst power supply brand available. A power supply isn't something you should overlook, you need to spend a fair amount to get something decent, hey you get what you pay for
Where do you live and what places/retailers can you buy from?
There are some good quality brands that are quite cheap in certain places. For a decent power supply with 20A or more on the +12V rail may cost over £30 though, it's well worth the money though.
Brands to consider: Tagan, Seasonic, Rosewill, Enermax, Hiper, OCZ and Antec. A few other good ones are out there that I've missed depending on location.

  • Cumulative and Non-cumulative KFs

    Guys,
so I am confused about cumulative/Non-cumulative keyfigures.  I read what it says about them on help.sap.com
    Flow/non-cumulative value
You can select the key figure as a cumulative value. Values for this key figure have to be posted in each time unit, for which values for this key figure are to be reported.
    Non-cumulative with non-cumulative change
The key figure is a non-cumulative. You have to enter a key figure that represents the non-cumulative change of the non-cumulative value. There do not have to be values for this key figure in every time unit. For the non-cumulative key figure, values are only stored for selected times (markers). The values for the remaining times are calculated from the value in a marker and the intermediary non-cumulative changes.
    Non-Cumulative with inflow and outflow
The key figure is a non-cumulative. You have to specify two key figures that represent the inflow and outflow of a non-cumulative value.
For non-cumulatives with non-cumulative change, or inflow and outflow, the two key figures themselves are not allowed to be non-cumulative values, but must represent cumulative values. They must be the same type (for example, amount, and quantity) as the non-cumulative value."
and also checked a few threads on sdn but still a little confused about their purpose.
Can someone tell me when do we use which one?
    Thanks,
    RG.

    Hi Ram,
Cummulative & Non Cummulative Key Figures :
Basically the key figures are of two types cumulative and non cumulative.
Cumulative are the normal one which you use always and they always bring the new values of the key figures in the delta that is if suppose A has value 10 and after change the new value is 20 then you will use cumulative key figures there, and your delta( new value) will bring 20.
but suppose your key figures field only the change in the prior value that is in this case the delta in the key figure value will bring 10 (20-10- change of 10 )as new value in the key figure A then you will have to model it through the non cumulaitve key figures.
    Now
    1) Cumulative is for the first case that is if the key figure alwyas brings the new values of the key figure and not the change sin the key fiures value.
2)NCum. value with NCUM value change:
In this case ther is only one field which brings the changes for a particualr key figure and you ahve to define that key figure as non cumulative.
Ex: In case of stock only one filed brings both ingoing value and outgoing value so 10 ,-4,100,-34.....
In this case you will this option and use the key figure here in the space provided.
    3) In this case you haev two separate key figures one for the inflow of stocks and one for the outflow of the stocks.
you use one key figure for the inflow and one key figure for the outflow.
The main key figure autiomatically takes care of the logic and gives the correct output upon the summation
net value of stocks( inflow- outflow).
Also do remember in this case the key figure for inflow and out flow are the basic key figures that is cumulative key figures.
A non-cumulative is a non-aggregating key figure on the level of one or more objects that is always displayed in relation to time. Examples of non-cumulatives include headcount, account balance and material inventory. here the aggregation of key figure is based on the another info object
There are two different ways to define non-cumulative key figures:
    u2022 Non-cumulative key figure with non-cumulative changes:
Before you can define the non-cumulative key figure, an additional cumulative key figure containing the non-cumulative change must exist as an InfoObject.
u2022 Non-cumulative key figure with inflows and outflows
There has to be two additional cumulative key figures as InfoObjects for non-cumulative key figures - one for inflows and one for outflows. The cumulative key figures have to have the same technical properties as the non-cumulative key figure, and the aggregation and exception aggregation have to be SUM.
    Features of non-cummulative key figures
    A non-aggregating key Figure.
Records are not summarized for Reporting
Exception Aggregation is being applied on these key figures on the level of one or more info objects usually with time .
Examples: Head Count, Account balance, Material stock
    consider simple senario
Date Net Stock Quantity Sales Revenue
    01.02.2005 40 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 25 3000
this is the query output if stock quantity has treated as cummulative and non-cummulative key figures
if stock quantity taken as a cummulative key figure
Date NET STOCK QUANTITY SALES REVENUE
    01.02.2005 30 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 20 3000
    RESULT 100 6000
in the above result the key figure has aggregated to the total value that wont give sense to the net stock quantity
if stock quantity taken as non-cummulative key figure
Date Net Stock Quantity (LAST) Sales Revenue
    01.02.2005 30 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 20 3000
    RESULT 20 6000
    Hope it helps you.
