[30EA2/30EA3/30EA4] Tasks : feature removed ?

Hello,
I have a question for the SQL Developer dev team.
Could you explain me why the "tasks" feature (TODO, TASK, FIXME tags highligting, Tasks prefs, task markers in code) has disappeared since 30EA2 has been published ?
This feature was enabled in 30EA1, but I can't find it anymore in 30EA2 nor in 30EA3.
It was a very useful feature !
For your information, it was asked for [url http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=42626:39:3296899072186900::NO::P39_ID:581]here, and marked as done, In Release 3.0, but it is not :(.
Thanks !

Hello.
It has been more than a month that I asked my question, and still no response.
Does anyone from the SQL Dev developer team really read this forum ?
Why is a feature being described as done, in Release 3.0* in SQL Developer Exchange > Feature Request (link) although this feature does not exist in the software ?
Thanks.

At the link I posted above.
There is a single extension to restore these features. Extension is available at:
    Vista/Windows 7: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC\Configuration\DisabledFeatures
    Mac OS X: /Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CC/Configuration/DisabledFeatures
To install, follow instructions in the video

  • I have a new ipad mini purchased in Dec 2013.  I can not Picture Frame app to display my photos when the ipad screen is locked.  was this feature removed?  if not, how do I turn it on?

I have a new ipad mini purhased in December 2013 for my father.  I want play the streamed photos on the ipad when the screen is locked.  Similar to what the ipad 2 using Picture Frame.  Unfortunately I can not find the picture frame app on this ioad mini.  Was this feature removed? If yes, are there alternative options?

I can't personally as I never really liked nor used the picture frame feature in iPad.  Just search in the App Store and read customer reviews and you'll likely find something you'll like.

I've just upgrade to Premiere Elements 13. I found the Instant Movie option is not there anymore? is this feature removed? Any one has an idea?

It is there. In 13, look under Create in the Expert and Quick workspaces. And, once you update from 13 to 13.1 using an opened projects Help Menu/Update, you
will see an extra location for the feature - right in front of you in the main panel.

  • For the first time I hate Firefox! Important time-saving feature removed (4.0)

For the first time I hate Firefox (4.0).
They removed the feature for the user to jump back multiple pages at once. I use this MANY MANY times a day and now I have to go back one page at a time until I get back to where I want to go. IF I have to go back (say) 10 pages or so it takes forever and I have to wait for the page to show to see if that is the one I wanted or have to go back further. This is a HUGE waste of time.
IF Firefox does not restore this feature soon I will have no choice but to find another browser that has this feature. I cannot and will not waste my time with a browser that doesn't have this important feature.
Also, 4.0 is regularly crashing (much more than before).

It is still there. You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker

  • BPM 11g - Human task not removed when interrupting boundary event fired

In BPM 11g (11.1.1.1.3), I am testing a message catch event on the boundary of a human task. It is set for interrupting, so it should, when the event fires, remove the human task from the work list and follow the flow out of the event. The event flow is being followed, but the human task is being left active in the user's work list. I would expect the human task to be removed when the interrupting boundary message event occurs.
I think this is a bug, but would welcome any suggestions on how to solve it. Does anyone know if this works in the latest release (11.1.1.1.4)? We might upgrade pretty soon. Has anyone else tried boundary message events and gotten them to work properly in BPM 11g?
Just FYI....in order to make the BPM message event occur and provide instance correlation, we had to add a mediator and BPEL correlation. We followed process documented in a previous post to do this (http://blog.andrade.inf.br/2011/01/implementing-correlation-in-bpm-11gr1.html). Thanks to whomever posted that...it got us a few steps further along!

I do not think this is bug based on
Oracle® Fusion Middleware Modeling and Implementation Guide for Oracle Business Process Management
23.1.1 Understanding the Relationship Between SOA Composites and SOA Components
"In a similar way, when an interrupting timer or message boundary event arrives to a user task, the BPMN process instance leaves the user task but the associated Human Task remains available. Because the interrupting timer or message boundary event arrived before the user completes the user task, the human task remains unfinished, and you can still access it thought the Worklist application. However running that human task does not have any effect on the BPMN process."
This also gives us big trouble. I am looking for the solution.

  • New features added, old features removed

I've seen many users who has asked why the new firmware removed some good features and so on... So I have this thread, and hope that answer you all.
the phone ROM is basically fix, say 128MB ROM and the available ROM for user is 44MB (say in the spec or manufacturer's spec) which means 84MB is used for the ROM.
So if a new feature is added then they have to remove or shrink something to maintain that 44MB available for users as the spec.
Also bugs and problem fix could cause the increment of ROM... unless it's extra install file or patches (which also takes up some space either in ROM or memory card)
    Cheers

  • Spaces in Expose on OS X Lion - feature removed/updated?

Was the spaces feature updated/removed from Expose? I can't seem to get the multiple displays grid you get with spaces. It's all jumbled up in one big window looking very messy. Please help - many thanks!

I also miss the grid layout of spaces.  In fact, I'm considering downgrading back to Snow Leopard just to get it back.  I used to use command+arrow keys to move around in my grid of spaces.  I used to use a hot corner to initiate spaces, then another hot corner to initiate expose while "zoomed out" in spaces.  I used to be able to click any window of any app in any space and move it to any other space.  I used to be able to move an entire space to another location.
Now I've upgraded to Lion and I cannot do any of that.  Serious downgrade, serious loss of efficiency.  I've taken the time to learn how Lion handles all this.  I've taken the time to change options to try to make MC more efficient.  Simply put, it's a downgrade that breaks something great from Snow Leopard.
For example:  Initiate Mission Control while on desktop 1 and I see a window on desktop 2 that I want on desktop 3.  In order to move that, I have to first switch to desktop 2, initiate MC, then move the app.  Not to mention, if that window were under another window, I'd not be able to see it at all!
For example:  In SL, to go from space 1 to 9 on a 3x3 layout, I could use command+right, down, down, right.  On Lion, I have to use comand+right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right.  seriously?  Sure, I could use command+9 (if that's even where Lion decided it wanted to keep the app!), but I prefer the efficiency of using 1 hand to do the keyboard shortcut.
Tell Apple you want the option of having spaces in a grid again.  Who knows, maybe if enough of us do, they'll bring it back: http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html

  • Search/filtering within playlists feature removed

    Hi,
Spotify updated itself yesterday to version 1.0.1.988.g8f17a348. The UI got overhauled and few features got removed but the most annoying thing about the change was the disappearance of searching/filtering within a playlist. CMD + F doesn't do anything right now. It was an essential feature used very frequently by me. What exactly was the reasoning behind removing it? Will it be brought back?

What is the thought process going on with the product and engineering team? Can they stop releasing updates to the product that lack critical functionality? This is the same terrible decision making that allowed the "Your Music" features not to exist on the iPad for a year after it was released everywhere else. What's even more frustrating is that I've now received 2-3 updates since the filter feature was removed and it's still missing! I love Spotify, but this total lack of common sense is unbelievably frustrating and deeply concerning. At this point I wouldn't be surprise if you release a new version that didn't have shuffle or just removed the ability play songs altogether. "Hey the new Spotify looks better than ever and soon we'll add back the ability to play music!!!"* At least I know this guy landed on his feet with a great product manager position at Spotify... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxWWJaTEdD0 *Sorry for the deep sarcasm, but I mean, c'mon man!

  • A bug, or a feature removed from iTunes 11? Every playlist folder shows entire library

Hi folks - wondering if anyone else has come across this issue (have searched, can't find references...) In older versions of iTunes, if you selected a folder containing playlists, the main window would show all tracks contained in those playlists - for example, if I have a Jazz folder containing 10 different playlists, each with 10 tracks, I could click on the folder and see (and play) just those 100 tracks.
I just got a new Mac Mini and haved moved all my stuff to the new machine, all working fine with iTunes 11 except now when I click on any of my playlist folders, it shows me every sinlge track in my entire library. If I click on any of the playlists inside the folder, they're fine, just as they should be.
So, does anyone know - is this a bug, did something get messed up with my transfer from the old machine, or did Apple just remove a handy feature?
    Thanks!

Well wouldn't ya know it - a few hours later I check again and it's acting like it always used to, now showing the correct number of tracks. I didn't quit iTunes or reboot, relaunch, sleep, or anything - so I guess it was just taking its sweet time (like, 4 hours) to sort itself out after the move!

  • Feature removal complaint (miss-informed by on-line experience)

I went to Verizon's on-line site to add a feature, 4G Mobile Hotspot, on Saturday morning (5/10/14).  When prompted and asked if I wanted assistance by Joy, I mentioned I wanted to add 4g Mobile Hotspot.  Joy responded and asked if I wanted 'free' voice-mail feature, as I was paying $1.99/month for Premium voice-mail storage.  I said I need to keep the same features, with the ability to have 50 saved voice-mails.  Joy assured me that I would maintain the same feature, having up to 50 voice-mail messages.  I asked to be certain, and Joy said yes.  So, I said sure, but I still felt skeptical.  Well, over my weekend trip, I found that my voice-mail box was full, but only had 47 saved messages (business and person purposes).
I called Verizon Support on Monday (5/12/14) and found that indeed Premium voice-mail was removed and the reason for the full voice-mail box.  I think the maximum under the standard 'free' option is 20, but the support person was not certain.  I was also told that the Premium voice-mail feature that I had, is no longer available as a selection option and he would have to request that feature back to me, but it will take several days to even find out.  AND, the only way for me to find out is to come back to my account and check it from time-to-time.
So .... I feel I was miss-informed by Joy and now I my real estate clients cannot save a voice-mail message, unless I delete at least 25 currently saved messages.
I have always been a big fan of Verizon and have been a customer for many, many years!  However, I'm thinking of dropping my Verizon land-line service, mobile cell service, switching my Verizon DSL service to Cox cable for Internet and TV, (also dumping DirecTV).
Randall (the very frustrated Verizon customer).

Well thanks for the response, but I wonder whether you read my post.(?) It was because of the online option that I incurred overage charges, had my corporate email disrupted, and ended up with a plan that cost me more than I was paying rather than less, all entirely against my desire.
What makes it all worse is that I had to spend many more hours on the phone with Verizon to try to get this corrected and have never been able to to my satisfaction. A lot of time spent for an absence of service leaves me profoundly dissatisfied.
I understand that someplace in the online process a question was apparently asked with insufficient explanation that I somehow answered as, "Please bill me an extra $116.10." This alone seems like a really good reason to never use the online option since, again, I cannot imagine I would have had this problem doing it on the phone. Not being able to correct this errant answer is a sad statement on Verizon customer support.

  • Quicktime icon in task bar removal - HOW?

I was hoping someone could tell me what to do to remove the quick time icon and keep it from loading at time of boot into the task bar on the right. I don't understand the purpose of certain programs automatically installing their icons in the "date/clock" window without the user specifying to do so.

I was hoping someone could tell me what to do to remove the quick time icon and keep it from loading at time of boot into the task bar on the right.
In Quicktime, go "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" (or, alternatively, launch your QuickTime control panel).
Click on the Advanced tab. Uncheck "Install QuickTime icon in system tray", and click OK.
Restart the PC. Has the QuickTime icon gone from the system tray?

  • Was the network sharing feature removed from the latest version of iphoto?

After upgrading to the latest version of iphoto (9.5.1) it seems I can no longer share my photo library to other computers on my home network.  Does anyone know if this feature was removed?  And if it was, is there a work around?  This feature is very useful to me.
    Thanks in advance...

no i do not - there is an Aperture forum - give it a shot - I've not seen that posted here though

  • Features removed from 7.0

I've been mostly focussed on the UI, but have also noticed many posts pointing out that useful features have been removed.
On this thread, I'd like to see if we can crowdsource a definitive list of features which were in 6.xx, but have been removed from 7.0.
If you're missing a feature, could you post it below (it would be nice if you could check for duplicates first), possibly with your use case if it's not blindingly obvious.

The option that was quite useful in Skype 6.21 and now is missing in 7.0, is the option to view the list of sent and received files.
