30gig ipod phot. just got av cord for tv and no go!
at a retailer other than apple. a 3 into 1 for the headphone jack.....why can't i see the photos ontv? i switched it to on in the tv settings on the ipod. hmmmm please help.
So i got it to work by switching the cords (like I read in here somewhere) and it shows my photos in black and white and the tv screen is sort of "wavy".
I now see that i do have svid capability on my dock. Is the quality much better? I'm guessing that it at least shows in color. Does anyone here have photos that really look good on their tv screen? Should I persue this anymore and get a new or better (svid) cord.
I need some confidence building after thi debacle tonight. Help!!!

Last year my daughter received an iPod for her birthday. I sat it up using my Apple ID and password that I use with my iPhone. For Christmas she got an iPad mini and it was sat up this time with her own Apple ID and password. Just wondering if there is any way to transfer or sync the apps and music that she has on her iPod to her iPad even though they have different apple IDs and passwords?

i'm sorry but AFAIK the iPod Touch does not support +hard disk+ mode. instead, the OP should take a look @ this post by Zevoneer.

There is no way to transfer ipod-to-ipod. Look for a 3rd party program, such as Yamipod, that will let you pull the music from your old iPod to your computer.
You really should be backing up your data on your computer. -

I am trying to sync them both to the same computer (Windows), and with the 2nd ipod, it looks like everything is going to work out fine, until I go to add songs from my itunes music library...then, after a few seconds of me hoping it will work, I get a message that says "Attempting to copy to Lisa's disk failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."
I thought it might have been my ipod. But then I tried to download songs from my sister's computer, and even my work computer (just to see if it would work), and it did. So I'm not sure what is going on here. Is it my computer, or is it the ipod? Or is it itunes?
Also, my sister in-law said her issue is similar, in that her itunes doesn't recognize her ipod now that my brother's ipod has been used on their computer. She gets the same message as I do...thus she is unable to download any songs onto her ipod.
If you have any helpful tips, it would be greatly appreciated.

As you connect your ipod to iTunes, an option in the upper right of the screen will appear. When you click this, it will show the different menu for your ipod.

If I have an apple ID for myself and my wife has just got a iPhone for the first time how can she get the same apps as I have for my iPhone and iPad by getting it off my iCloud?
She can't from iCloud without setting up your iCloud account on her phone. But just sync the same apps from your iTunes Library on your computer to her phone.
Your wife should setup her own iCloud account - which is separate to the iTunes Store accounts. -
We just got 2 iPad air today and Set up both with the same Apple ID, now I'm getting FaceTime and messages for my 12 yr. old. Do I have to set up a separate Apple ID for her to avoid this?
It's a trust issue. You can set them up so you don't receive each other's messages as long as you each have your own email address.
The trust issue is the fact that either of you can change the separation at any time via Settings by checking the appropriate (inappropriate?) email address.
To be absolutely sure you can never receive each other's messages will require two Apple IDs. -

I just got tOhe iPhone 4Gs today and had contacts and photos uploaded from another phone synced new phone with iTunes for music and accidentally restored it so all my old iPhone stuff is on the new one is there any way to fix this ?! Please help !!!!

I think my account has been compromised. I just got a receipt for $10.69 today that I didn't spend. How do I get my money back?
I've already submitted my problem to PayPal and they are investigating it. I need to get this reversed and my money back. It's hard enough saving for formula without some ******* buying **** with my information.

If it is a phishing email then forward it to Apple : [email protected] , and then delete it. -

It's a security feature that was brought in a few months ago - when you try to purchase something for the first time on a new computer or device then you will be asked for the answers to your questions (or to set them up if you haven't yet created them).

What I think you are talking about is a user name and password for an Apple ID.
Apple IDs use a email address and a password you create for that email address on Apples website.
There should be a link on whatever page you are on to Create an Apple ID. Click that link.
Or just open App Store from the link on you Dock then Find the link to create an Apple ID.
Absolutely not. You can create a blank password. Yes it's stupid. Yes it's unsafe. But from helping people with their Macs, I find most do not set up a password. <facepalm> -
