3109 and THB Bury car kit

Hi all
My 6021 packed up and the company have given me a 3109. The old 6021 worked perfectly with my THB Bury car kit but with the new 3109 pluged in using the new adaptor holder - The person I am calling says that it sounds like my head is in a bucked and there is a constant buzzing such that they almost cannot understand me.
the software version on the phone is V05.30 16-05-07 RM-274

i've got the same problem with my one , would love to know how to keep the back light on

  • Phone switches off on THB Bury car kit

I've installed a THB-Bury Take and Talk kit into my Range Rover but the phone (Nokia 6230i) switches off a minute after I switch off the ignition. This happens whether I have enabled the "ignition detector" on the phone settings or not. I've got a simple MBC cradle in my other Land Rover and the phone stays switched on all the time, even if I disconnect the power. Can anybody help?

Thb Bury kits will do this but you can wire the blue ignition wire to red permenant live with no problems. If you ever change your cradle to a Bluetooth one you will have to change this back in order to make the device search.

  • 6300 - Bury Car Kit - Doesn't switch auto keyguard...

I have a new 6300, and use a Bury (THB)car kit. When i had my old 6230i the phone recognised the car kit, and switched the auto keyguard off. Unfortunately, when I use the car kit now, the phone recognises the car kit as a headset (with the headset icon displayed), and keeps the keyguard operational. This can be awkward as I make a lot of calls when driving.Message Edited by awdp on 11-Dec-200703:12 PM

Well, it's interesting; here's the pattern I see:
If I remove my iPod before shutting off my car (even though I've turned off my card stereo), it does not seem to time-out and enter sleep. If I remove it AFTER I shut off my car then it does sleep after the time-out interval.
Not sure if that makes any sense to the development team, but that's the behavior I'm seeing.

  • Alltel 8130 and Nissan Bluetooth Car Kit

HELP!!! New Nissan Altima with Bluetooth Car Kit.  I am able to pair no problem, make and receive call without a hitch.  Downloaded phone book with ease.  The problem is whenever I use the phone with the car kit after I exit the car the phone locks up, keys do not respond and I have to do a battery pull to reset the phone.  No problem until I use the phone in the car again (with the bluetooth kit).  Any help or suggestions are appreciated.  I do have the latest OS (4.5.0.89).
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Problem Solved: I went to Alltel store and they adviced I do a manual disconnect from the phone before I turn off the car, this seemed to work so since I placed ther Bluetooth icon on the frontpage of my phone it seems to be working fine without having to manually disconnect.  I do not quite understand why it works now but it does.

  • 1.1.3 and Parrot Bluetooth car kit problems and solution

I've discovered a potential fix with help from the good folks at Parrot Bluetooth devices technical support. The main issue with version 1.1.3 upgrade and car kits appears to be when the iPhone attempts to sync contacts with the BT device. Apparently, something changed in 1.1.3 about how Apple sent contacts through BT. To fix it on a Parrot car kit, first delete the iPhone from the list of paired devices on the car kit. Then unpair the car kit on the iPhone. Pair the two devices following your devices instructions, only with contact synchronization disabled. On my 3200LS this meant selecting "Disable Synchro" from the phone pairing list. The connection was quick and rock solid after doing this.
I have seen reports of this same solution working with Ford Sync devices also, and it may address some of the Garmin issues too. Obviously, this isn't ideal since you won't have any contacts or at least will have to manually enter them on your device. But it should get you through until Apple devises a fix in a near future (hint Apple) upgrade.

    Klash,
Try updating to iPhone 1.1.4, and see if your issue is resolved.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • X6 and Parrot CK3100LCD Car kit

I have been using a Nokia 6600 fold with the Parrot car kit very successfully. I've now switched to the X6 which pairs with the car kit most of the time and works initially but then, for no apparent reason, I cannot hear the caller, even though they can hear me perfectly.

    Klash,
Try updating to iPhone 1.1.4, and see if your issue is resolved.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • N80 and CK-W7 Car Kit

I have just bought a Nokia N80 and when I plugged it into my CK-W7 car kit via the Pop Port cable I found that the remote button on the car kit didn't work. With my old 6680 the button would answer calls, hang up and activate voice dialing. With the N80 I get a beep and that all. I've played around with the settings on the phone but nothing has resolved the problem yet. Is it a problem with the N80 or is it the operator's software? I bought the phone through Orange in the UK.

Lots of people are having problems with car kit it would seem. Just like I always say, take it to a service point and see if there is a Service upgrade for the bluetooth or maybe a firmware upgrade will fix it? I had problems with a headset and the service upgrade fixed it perfectly.
Is that an N95 in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?!?
Life's too important to take seriously.
    Nokias I've owned 3210, 3310, 6100, 7650, 6600, 6680, 6630, N80, N95

  • Nokia N96 and Rover Rover Car-Kit

    Hi and Help!
I hope someone can throw some light on a problem I'm having with my Nokia 96 (on 02), which I upgraded from an N95 8Gb at the beginning of December 2008. I have had numerous Nokia Phones (and a Blackberry) all on 02 and all working well with the built in car-kit in my Range Rover Sport. The two are connected via Buluetooth, but I am experiencing the following problems:
Everytime I get in the Car with the phone, it asks if I want to connect and asks me to input the code which I do and it connects. It is listed as authorised but I still have to go through this procedure each time.
When I'm on a call, the quality is good, but after a couple of minutes, I can hear the person on the other end, but the speech is very clipped, and they cannot hear me and as long as we both persevere, the call continues and returns to normal after 20-30 seconds but this issue is repeated every few minutes for the duration of the call. This happens whether I make or recieve calls.
Some of the things I have tried but which have not worked:
02 have replaced the phone and I'm now on my second, brand new unit.
I upgraded the software on both and I'm currently running 12.043, 26/11/08
I have had Land Rover look at the car kit when it was serviced yesterday (26/01/2009). They confimed they had tried it with other Nokia phones and it was working correctly and could not replicate the fault, albeit they weren't using an N96
I have independently checked the Land Rover webpages and confimred that the N96 is compatible
    Partial and full reboots.
Deleting and setting up new Bluetooth connections
Changing the Network from Dual to GSM only
Trawling through N96 and Land Rover forum looking for some sort of clue, and I can find absolutely nothing anywhere else!
I hope someone can help as I'm finding this increasingly frustrating and it's knocking my faith in Nokia products, and I'm considering returning to my N95.
    Many thanks

    Hi,
Have got almost the same problem as you detailed below, however call quality when connected is fine. Even have the same car. Got a brand new N96 after two weeks but it is exactly the same, keeps requesting the pairing and code instead of connecting automatically.
If I cannot get this sorted I will swap for another cheaper phone that will work. Basic Nokias do the trick. Like Nokia have never used anything else.

  • Tour and Bluesky handsfree car kit 1001B

This Hands Free car kit had tons of kudos from recent media , It does not connect with my Tour ! It will pair fine but "fails" everytime I try to connect. I have paired and connected both devices with other phones etc and no problem. Is there a softwear fix or something? Hear is the devices website.

  • 6230i and CK-7w car kit

Having problems when phone is removed from cradle, several things happen intermittantly.
1 A message appears " use as data storage device" wether I accept or reject this it just goes into a loop asking the same question.
    2. The power saver "clock" stays on the dislay and the phone locks up, or turns off.
    3. The display freezes ,only diplaying half the screen and the name of the contact, and phone locks up, when the first call is recieved.
The only way to cure this is to switch off/on. As the phone switches off, only the red diamond on the shut down animation appears.
Another question should the phone mute the radio even when accepting messages such as "charging" and "battery full".
Also when in the cradle should the phone show charging after a call is made or recieved even though it was showing fully charged seconds before, does it not use the power from the car to power it when in the cradle

You need to get a newer software version for your 6230i, this was a common problem when it was introduced last year, and nokia service center will help you with this.

  • CU-7 and CUW-2 Car Kit Buttons

I am upgrading my CARK-112 to CK-7W to support my N95 8Gb. Was led to believe that all of the CARK-112 accessories would simply plug into the CK-7W. Have now discovered that the button (CUW-2) in the CARK-112 terminates with an RJ45 whilst the CK-7W socket for the button is an RJ11. Question therefore is "are the pin assignments for the two plugs the same and therefore is it simply a case of replacing the RJ45 plug with an RJ11? If not then what are pin assignments of the two connectors so I can rewire it correctly?"
    Many thanks

If you hold the button down for 5 seconds it should switch off.
The problem here is that the kit has been installed with the blue ignition sense wire connected to a permanent live.
If you want an installer to look at it and correct this so it works properly then you can enter your postcode here on the Nokia site and find your nearest accredited installer.
It should be a simple fix.

  • 6230i and CK-7 Car Kit cradle

I'ved used mu 6230i with bluetooth on the CK-7 with no issue. I've just had a cradle fitted and when I remove the phoen it quite regularly just gives me a white screen and I need to reset it. Is this a known issue ? Is there a fix ! My firmware is 3.40 dated 23-05-05 - is there a more modern version and how can I get it ?
    Iain

    Hi Guys!
Just to let you know 3.46 isnt compatible for all the networks in the UK.
If you need to get the phones software updated please speak with your Nokia Service Point, they will be able to install the correct software for your phone/network.
    Cheers

  • Noki N96 and ANY car Kit

I have a N96 with Software version 30.033.098.1. When I try and dial from my Car Kit (Bury CC9060) the N96 says "Connection Error" and then "not allowed". It did this on the previous CK-15W, which I thought was faulty which is why I upgraded to a Bury. On my wifes CK-7W if I try last number redial by double clicking the Nokia button then I get the same. Dialling from the handsets works fine on all the car kits. I've toggles Remote SIm and it makes no difference.
Anyone got any thoughts on this.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Trust me...this won't be a Pioneer problem, it'll be a Nokia problem. See Nokia have been completely complacent with the fact that their phones are nice & shiny and they have a really good user interface. Their problem is they always release their software before it's ready and then let us (the punters) test it for them.
Well...MR Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo...I have finally got around my Nokia problem....I've finally binned my Nokia and gone for an iPhone 3GS.....and have not looked back yet. I was really worried about not having a physical keypad however Apple have done it well.....It pairs and works well with my Bury car kit......
Interestingly Nokia never replied to my first post...wonder if they'll reply to this..or delete it.
Another advantage is that I don't need the memory hungry, buggy Nokia PC Suite anymore.
Long live the iPhone! I am a happy EX-Nokia customer!
