I am new user of Nokia 3109 (it should come tomorrow). I would be interested to know how to (if possible) switch the mobile screen colors "off"...I mean to get the phone screen working monochrome ? Is that possible ? Anybody knows ho to do that ? Why I want to do this? - I hate chargers, cables, I want my phone battery to last as long as possible and I think monochrome should do the job. And, also, I noticed most of color screens are hard to use in bright sun, I am in Melbourne - there is plenty sun here !

It is not possible to make the phone run in monochrome. You could probably find a basic theme with very little colour in it but it wouldn't save you any power.
Most nokia's tend be good in sunlight. If you have any difficulties change your theme to one with better contrasting colours.

Is it possible to switch off auto dates in a comments box?

Hello,
I am making annotations to a document in pages 09 using the comments facility. However each time after saving when I return the date has automatically appeared in the comments box. This is becoming slightly annoying as I have a larger list of dates than the comments I'm making!
Is it possible to switch this feature off?

That works fine until I save and then when I reopen the document the comment box has the date and time back at the top. If I save and reopen again the following day there will be two dates and times in the box!
I really just need to get rid of them totally.

I’m using Mavericks, and it’s still possible to select text to drag and for cutting and pasting. Left-clicking and right-clicking is still possible, too.
Try opening the Trackpad pane of System Preferences, and select the Point & Click tab. To right-click, ensure that your “Secondary click” checkbox has been checked; the small print under “Secondary click” is a dropdown menu which allows you to select the form of right-clicking that you prefer. (For instance, mine is set to “Click in bottom right corner”.) For left-clicking, is your “Tap to click” checkbox checked, or unchecked? (Mine is unchecked, since I prefer pushing for left-clicking over tapping to do so.)

Possible to switch 15" Hi Res glossy for anti-glare screen?

I bought a 15" MacBook Pro a few months ago and have found I don't like the hi-res glossy screen. Is it possible to switch to the hi-res anti-glare option without buying a new machine? The computer's great otherwise, but I edit lots of photos and the reflections on the glossy are distracting.

Welcome to the Apple Communities forums. Unfortunately Apple does not offer an after purchase option to change to the Hi-Res Anti glare option.
You could try the follow

If you scroll down they have a service that for $199 will remove the Glossy option and install a Matte finish instead. This service does not void your Apple Warranty either according to their site.

It used to be in the US iTunes Store as that's where I purchased it. Often the studios will temporarily pull a movie from the store during times the movie is scheduled to be shown on TV or cable TV as the TV network has been granted exclusive access during the period. I would like to switch this functionality off, because the key is malfunctioned and always pressed. I was able to switch off the functionality of this key in Windows system by deleting entries in registry Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey. After this change, when somebody works in system the Firefox is not running is not launching all the time. But when I open the Firefox the setting in system is overwritten and when I am using it Firefox returns to the homepage instantly. I think because of this quick launch button. I tried to change settings in about:config like browser.startup.homepage, browser.startup.homepage_override, startup.homepage_override_url,… this is for Firefox version is 10.0.2

After these changes in registry the behavior of the button was suppressed, the Firefox stopped to start unexpectedly all the time – so in system it works. But the problem is still when I have opened Firefox. Every time when you want to surf in internet – the homepage is activated also unexpectedly. I wrote this post with intention to ask if there is a possibility to switch off the functionality of this quick launch button in Firefox. Because I assume Firefox overrides the system setup – this I have made in registry. I tried with some option changes in about:config but without success. And I know that for older versions of firefox was some option in about:config do disable_quick launch button. But in 10.0.2 I couldn't locate it.

You would need to go to an Apple Store (make an appointment) and take the phone, her father's original invoice when the phone was purchased, and a copy of his death certificate. Only with these will Apple unlock it. If you can't get these, the phone is permanently unusable.

Pressing the Home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button together until you see the Apple logo and then release is called a reset.
If no change after a reset, the next step is restoring your iPhone.

There is no off switch but you can setup parental control which does nothing more than turn off wireless between whatever hours you set for the particular client/s.
See under access control of wireless in v5 utility and under Network, Enable Access Control in v6 utility..
Also search.. there are lots of posts about the right way to setup "Timed Access Control"

Unable to switch screen mode from standard: PS CS5

Full screen with or without menus is grayed out in the view menu and the view dropdown selector from the menu bar. I have quit and re-entered PS and have reset all workspaces to default. I have checked that I'm working in 64 bit. I still cannot switch screen mode from standard. Last update was to 12.04. Last extension installed was photokit sharpener.

I dropped iPhone 1 in the toilet and it is water damaged- it still turns on, charges, etc. but I'm pretty sure it's shot because it always wants to turn off, and things don't work all the time. I am wondering if I can take the screen off this one and put it on another iPhone 4s that has a broken screen but works fine otherwise. Do the screens have some sort of electronic part that could be damaged by water, or is it possible to switch the screens?

Are you capable of doing such? If so, go for it.
If both devices are the same model, there is no reason why it would not theoretically work.
