[3109c] Sync Organizer Notes with PC Suite

Just got a nokia 3109 classic for the office. I've been able to sync it with my PC (WinXP, Lotus Notes 5) using PC Suite and get all my contacts and calendar appointments back and forth.
Just stumbled on *ONE* issue: how can I sync the 3109 Organizer's Notes (basically plain text documents) with my PC ? I've been able to get most of the important ones using IrDA sync with my Palm Tungsten, however what is the way to be able to share those between my 3109c and the MS Window world ? It is a limitation of the 3109c or the PC Suite software ?

You could try using a different cable, please note that you may need to buy a new cable depending on how long you had the unit for.
It is also possible that your connectivity driver hasn't been installed yet.
From your PC got to Control Panel>Programs > Uninstall program > Nokia connectivity cable driver > Right click > Change > Repair.
For a more easier approach: send the numbers to a Bluetooth enabled device/phone. There should also be an option to move your contacts to the SIM card I believe.
Menu> Contacts> Names> Options> Move contact.
We would also like to know if you are having error messages when connecting your device.

It also said during the set up that it was setting up 'find my mac' but if I look on the iCloud website there is nothing showing there for finding my mac.
At this point I feel like I wasted my money paying for this supposed upgrade. I got nothing for it but frustration. It even automatically set my security settings to allow only downloads from the Mac store so the first time I went to download something I had to stop what I was doing and go correct settings first. I feel like there should be a security setting to block downloads from the Mac store so I don't accidentally end up clicking the wrong thing and being charged.

iCloud isn't syncing them on your phone. You simply added the email account to your phone and enabled calendar and notes syncing with the email provider, and the calendar and notes appear in the calendar and notes apps on your phone. You can do this with Gmail, Yahoo and other IMAP account. iCloud email is just another IMAP account, but syncs notes with Apple's iCloud server just as Gmail syncs notes and calendars with Google's server.
iCloud didnt' set up a non-iCloud account on your Mac. When you check Mail in System Preferences>iCloud, it only creates an iCloud email account. You can also add other email accounts to your Mac by going to System Preferences>Mail,Contacts,Calendars and clicking on the "+" sign on the bottom of the left sidebar. If you added these other email accounts to your Mac before you upgraded to Mountain Lion, these were simply maintained on your Mac after you upgraded.

I am hoping I can offer a little help to your issues with Notes Syncing.
I am using latest version of Itunes and Latest Iphone 4 software on a WINDOWS pc (Windows 7 Ultimate) and I am using Microsoft Office 2010.
If you want to sync your notes, as with previous messages on this topic, you'll need to ensure that on the info page of Itunes after you've connected your phone to sync, that you select or tick the box which asks you to sync notes with Outlook.
Once done - open up your Outlook programme.
The first thing to ensure is that the notes you want to sync are NOT archived. I have found to the point of great frustration, that Itunes will not sync notes which are in your archived notes folder. This is clearly labelled on the left hand side of the notes pane in outlook. If your notes are archived, you need to move them into your Notes (or current notes) folder. Simple cut and paste works here.
Once done - simply go back to itunes and select sync again and see if they appear in the notes section of your phone after the process has been completed..
I am sure you're all aware that the notes on/off button in Settings/Mail/Contacts/Calendars only appears if you are running an IMAP account. You will not (or should not) find this option available with SMTP accounts. This however should still work using the same process.
I hope that this helps in some small way.

Both macs sync, just not with eachother?

I have three macs. Two sync, but recently one is not syncing with the others. In accounts/advanced the two can not see the lone one and vice versa. (used only for iCal) Any suggestions any one? Thanks.

This is a .Mac Sync issue, not one with iSync. A forum for .Mac Sync users is located here.
.Mac machine to machine synchronization now requires Mac OS X 10.4.10 or later, and synchronization from machines upon which Mac OS X 10.3.x is installed is no longer supported to any platform running Mac OS X 10.4 or later. Mac OS X 10.3 <---> 10.3 synchronization is still supported.

Prior to iOS 6, I was happily syncing my iPads and iPhone with my Mac Pro.
This process included syncing my Notes between all of these systems.
Now I am told that I need to use iCloud to sync my Notes. 8(

I need to back up my phone with Ovi suite before my phone goes to Vodafone for repair as the lcd screen isnt working. how do I sync my phone when I cant read the sms sent to set the sync up?

if u hv the mobile wd u and u r able to switch on ur mobile and also hear the startin tune.. U can attach the phone to pc and sync using ovi suite.. U DONOT need to select the connection mode.. It gets selected by default if u start the ovi suite..

Can't sync Outlook notes with iPhone, Please help!!!

I can't sync my Outlook's notes with iPhone, it just stopped working a few months back and no matter how i removed my email acoounts, restore it still won't work! please help!

I use outlook and just got a new work phone.
i had to go in and turn the icloud notes off. Then connect your phone, go into itunes under info, almost at the bottom is "Other" and in there you can sync with notes.
took me a while until i turned them off on the phone in icloud section.

Syncing Memos / Notes with Entourage

My apologies if this has already been asked and answered -- I've done a search through the forum though and didn't come across anything.
I've installed the Desktop Manager for Mac, version 1.0.1 (build 2) for use with a Curve 8900 and Entourage 2008. When I sync Memo Notes, all memos from Entourage do successfully show on the Blackberry. However, none of the memos from the Blackberry (not those started on the BlackBerry and not those simply updated on it) appear in Entourage. The sync seems to be happening only in one direction.
I have already made sure that syncing is active on the Mac (and remember it does sync correctly in one direction) and have set the BlackBerry option to "no" for wireless memo syncing.
Does anyone have any ideas about this? I would very much appreciate any help.

You can't sync directly with Entourage.
First you have to sync Entourage with the Apple *Address Book* and iCal applications by turning on SyncServices support in Entourage's preferences.
Once your data is syncing ok between the Apple applications and Entourage, then you can sync Address Book and iCal with the iPhone.
Note that doing this 3-way sync is more problematic than just using Apple's applications, as sooner or later you're going to get conflicts as Entourage does not exactly sync up perfectly with Address Book and iCal due to the different fields being used.
In my experience, if you want to have as trouble-free syncing of Contacts and Calendars as possible, I would ditch Entourage (which is being discontinued soon anyway), and use the supplied Apple applications.

Iphone syncs but not with email

I'm getting an email sync error when trying to sync my 3GS with Itunes (10.2.1.17). Everything else syncs O.K. but for email it says 'can't sync email accounts to the Iphone because the mail accounts are in use by the Iphone'. I tried turning off the wireless but I still get this message. Any ideas? Should I worry?

iPhones don't "sync" email itself using iTunes. You can sync the email account settings from your email app on your computer, but there's no reason to do that more than once, when first setting up your phone.

Sync N97 contacts with Ovi Suite 2.0 & Outlook XP

I just upgraded Ovi Suite from v1.1 to 2.0 and went to resync my N97 (now at v2.0 firmware). Ovi Suite contacts sync ok with the N97 but the Contacts aren't syncing wiith Outlook XP (Calendar and Notes sync ok). Is therer a way to keep all three in sync automatically?

The current version of the PC Suite is 7.1.180.94 from 3rd July 2012. And no, even the current Nokia Suite 3.8.30 does not work with all Nokia Series 40, like the Nokia 301. Consequently your question is: Does the Nokia 202 work with a PC Suite version from 2009? Is that correct?
