What version of Tomtom Mobile will I need?

Thats a big mystery, series 40 phones cannot run tomtom, google it if you want proof.
The 6021 does not have a memory card slot, the operating system, no support for bluetooth GPS or enough internal memory to run tomtom.
The 6280 cannot run tomtom either, it can run google maps and use an external bluetooth GPS but it cannot do turn by turn navigation.

Hi, i use a free sit to download wallpapers, screensavers and themes.
Can i use themes for a Nokia 6085 with my 3110 classic as i think they use the same operating system or software and the screens are the same etc, thanx.

I know for a fact there is no Mac version of Act. You'd have to contact the authors of Centerpiece to see if they make a Mac version.
If not, then the answer to both is no.

Nokia 3110 Classic - Some settings :/

I just upgraded my phone from Nokia 2100 to Nokia 3110 Classic (finally, yay.)
In my 2100 I had a couple of settings I used.
a) Setting to change the amount of time the phone lights up.
b) Setting to change how long the phone waits before going into standby mode.
Not sure if those are the same things, but my 3110c lights up for quite a while

You can no longer set the time it takes for the backlight to go off. The other setting you will find under the screen saver settings menu in your display settings menu.

NEED HELP!! Nokia 3110 Classic with Bluetooth Head...

Dear all experts,
I just brought my Nokia 3110 Classic & found problem when trying to use my Motorola Bluetooth Headset H500. I've tried to use I-Tech Clip II Mini and Nokia Bluetooth Headset HS-26W yet still facing the same problem.
The problem i'm facing is whenever i called out or received call, other parties can't hear clearly what i've said but i can hear them loud & clear. My friends who are brought Nokia 6300 & Nokia 3110 Classic, all are facing this problem!
I've used Samsung, Sony Ericsson & Motorola phones before Nokia. So far, not problem. A bit disapointed and lost confidence with Nokia products.
Is there any expects who can solve/advise/recommend/help on this problem?

I had the same problem and found this thread while trying to resolve the problem. I have a Nokia 3110 and a Jabra Bt250v headset. I think I have found a solution.....I downloaded a software update (called firmware) from the nokia website (had to back up phone using Nokia PC suite and then follow the instructions on the nokia software updates) and now have version 7 rather than 5 and it seems to be resolved.

Hi, I have a problem with my nokia 3110 classic phone. When I go to the themes sec it says themes corrupted. Also my phone switches off itself and all my messages , themes, wallpapers, tones, graphics, games, etc disappear...

Why don't you uninstall the Currupted themes... ? You may do so using the PC Suite or Applications manager..

Nokia 3110 Classic Alarm tone too low

I brought a Nokia 3110 Classic yesterday and found the alarm tone too low. Tried chaging the Tones, but all of them are too low. Not enough to wake up. can anyone suggest how to overcome this problem.

get a loud tone there is no volume level for this if your havin trouble i will post a good loud one most nokias now have incremental volume ie get louder the longer they ring but i have good loud one

Nokia 3110 Classic does not work with Peltor Bluet...

At work I must use a high quality hearing protection headset. I purchased a Peltor Bluetooth A2DP headset (which costs five times the price of the phone) and a Nokia 3110 Classic phone, which would have been a good phone if it had worked properly with the headset. The phone fails to initialize Bluetooth connection almost every time I switch the headset on. When the initialization goes right, then it usually works, but sometimes I can only use A2DP music or phone. Both cannot be used, the other function remains silent. Sometimes the music palyer software jams after bluetooth initialization so that I have to restart the phone and load factory settings. I have installed the most recent firmware to the phone.
The headset works OK with other Nokia models I have tried. Are there any new firmware updates coming which could solve these bluetooth problems?

I also bought a Peltor bluetooth headset. I used it with 2 different phones (n73 and n96) and had problems with the connection on both phones. For example every time I turned off the headset, I had to pair the devices again. I also have used several other bluetooth headsets with absolutey no problems. So I assumed the problem was on the Peltor headset and sent it for service. I hope it will start to work.

Transfer data from 6210 to 3110 classic ?

Yes I know its pathetic.....but I finally convinced my old man to gove up his 6210 and buy a 3110 classic instead. Now he is swearing cause he cant firnd out a way to transfer his contacts, appointments etc. from the old to the new. (Apparantly transferring to the SIM card is not working....)
My suggestion was of course to backup the old into PC Suite (ver. 4.81) and then restore it into the new. (Using ver.6.85)
But I really do not know whether that is possible ??
Anyone has any ideas, tips or suggestions ?

I have the same problem; My 6210 was recently stolen, but I have an old backup of my contacts on my PC using version 4.81. These are all as .ncc files.
Now I have bought a 3110, but seem unable to load that data in to the phone as it only works with version 6.85, which has a new internal file format (SQLite?) and doesn't recognise the .ncc files.
I'm going to try, using version 4.81, to "Export" all the contacts in to "My PIM application" (which I don't have, I'll try Outlook Express which I've never used) and then fire up version 6.85 and try to "Import" them from there back in to the 3110... I'll let you know if I get anywhere!
We customers are just sooooooooo loyal - why won't Nokia reward us by making a *single* version of this software that works across *all* the models? New models and features could be handles dynamically, using plugins...

NOKIA 3110 CLASSIC DISPLAY

HI GUYS ..
i have got new nokia 3110 classic mobile yesterday.
i have noticed that the graphics or colour and camera resolution (which is 1.3 mega pixel) is of very bad quality.
nokia default wallpapers and themes looks cool but other additioanl images i added to set show bad bad colour and distorted resolution.
whats the reason behind this, i have visited many websites to get complete information about nokia 3110c before buying, and iT seems cool , having 1.3MP camera and good visual resolution...
but i am too disheatrted to see the bad graphics power of set...
plz guide me what can i do now....
is updating software can fix this problem ...

3110 classic, what's new in v5.01?

i see that there is a new firmware available for 3110 classic (not yet in scandinavian according to the software updater though). my question is: what's new in v.5.01? any changelog?

does this mean that this error is uncommon and that i should indeed upgrade?

hmmm. if you're currently running 5.0.0 with no problems, i don't see any overwhelming need to upgrade ... there aren't any new features as far as i can tell. it has been known to fix a few existing 5.0.0 problems. do you have anything going wrong at the moment? i may be able to advise if there's a track record of that being fixed by moving to 5.0.1.4. (feedback is still a bit sketchy on this, partly because people don't report problems being fixed as often as they report having problems.)

Downloading contacts from 3110 classic to Ck 600

Have installed CK-600 to my car and i cannot transfer the contacts from my phone (3110 classic).
Have tried all the instructions in the manual, but still no joy.

I need help in getting only the CK-600 screen, a few months ago stole my car radio and also took the SU-34 display the thief thought the screen would be a fixture on the radio, leaving me the other accessories kit but I can not use the screen, no use to me. Nokia call to ask if they sold only the screen but they said they did not sell the parts separately and had to buy back the ck-600 if I wanted to have it again, I've also looked online at various web pages of sales of this kit but have not found anything not to buy only the SU-34 screen.
Would ask Nokia to help me sell SU-34 screen, which made an exception in my case, I have the screen not because I have been robbed, not because I have damaged or broken.
I am a consumer of their products, most phones I've had have been Nokia, and I've been buying brand accessories because I like Nokia products work, and the cart kit CK-600 has been a great tool for my car, I've been very happy how the CK-600.
No brand wants to change this situation, nor disappointed with Nokia, nor ask you to give me the screen I just want to sell it, only the screen.

Nokia 3110 classic thru PC Suite

I am facing a problem. The phone 3110 classic is visible in PC Suite. But whenever I select to Backup it shows the message
"Failed to open connection to the selected phone. Reconnect your phone and try again"
I have tried it on 2-3 different machines with different versions of Nokia PC suite. Update I have used is setup file Nokia_PC_Suite_rel_7_0_8_2_eng_us_web.
I have tried to establish the connection via Blue tooth also. But same problem repeats.
Please do help me

Same issue here.
I called nokia support, They made me try *#7370# on my phone to reset, it didn't work.
I'm not overly impressed with the support.
I love nokia phones (had them for 11 years).
I'm lucky, I have a 10 days satisfaction guarantee and I am returning this unit (3500c), and switch to another company.
You should do this too if you can.

iam shibin form riyadh KSA, i hav a nokia 3110 classic mobile phone. i got a problem now that i forgot my lock code...! i tried my level best to format it too due to the the problem occured to my cell phone.
plz if sombody knw how to format the 3110 classic due mail me back. plzzzzzz.

if you have not changed your lock code then the default lock code are like 1,2,3,4,5
you can check the manual with your phone that will also tell you the default lock code...only if you have not changed it to something else

Opera Mini installing problem in 3110 classic.

I cannot able to install Opera Mini 4.2 in my Nokia 3110 classic mobile phone.
It displays Error message " Failed to connect to the internet. Go to http://www.operamini.com/help?version=4.2 with your desktop browser or contect service provider for Internet settings."

You should be able to download version 5. Choose the jar file.
