3150, 3253, 3252

For a few weeks now, I have been trying to download a tv series that I purchased. I get several downloading problem messages.... network connection was terminated unexpectedly, network connection timed-out, network connection was reset, network connection could not be made are the ones which have been taunting me. I have restarted the computer countless times, "checked purchases" and re-entered my password, emptied my recycling bin, checked to make sure that McAfee is allowing i-tunes, made sure that I had the latest i-tunes downloaded, checked with my internet provider, tried to do some of the tricks which I could figure out listed in this forum and I am still getting the messages. Just when I think I have it downloaded (it will have been trying to download for well over an hour.... the bar almost fully green and then BAM! the dreaded message pops up for each one of the shows which is it is trying to download.
With the exception of taking a hammer to my computer, what should I do next???? Until shortly after Christmas, I have never had any problems with i-tunes or downloading. The changes for me since then.... upgrading i-tunes, using Mozilla Firefox, and installing Frostwire on my computer. Are any of these things adding to my grief?
Thanks for any ideas you may have on this.

Er, as you can read the podcast works fine!
In a different Podcast catcher!
Same PC, different software and it downloads without any problems.
Still doesn't automatically mean it's iTunes!
It's really iTunes that's doing something that causes the download to fail.
I disagree. None of this points specifically at iTunes. Don't forget, there is the iTunes Store, the URL that the iTunes Store has for the Podcast (where iTunes thinks the file is located) and the Host server where the Podcast is actually stored. Any of these things could be at fault. Some Podcast producers even create one version of their Podcast for iPods and another version for other Podcast catchers, both with the same content, which means you can have no problem at all with the Podcast through Juice, while the iTunes Store one fails.
Whether you agree with me or not, I still believe that if you contact the Podcast's producer, they can sort it out, probably much more easily than you can.
What is the title of the Podcast anyway? It may help us to know.

  • Is there a listing of error codes and what they mean?

Continually get -3150 and -3252 codes. Can't find info when I search the site. Looks like lots of other error codes. Didn't know if anyone knows where to find a list of what the codes mean...and ways to make them stop.
    Thanks.

It happens when the server can't connect to LDAP server. Check to make sure your server is connecting to directory server by going to "Users & Groups" tab in the administration server UI.

  • Print to LaserJet 3150 Shared by Windows XP Pro

I have an older, but servicable LaserJet 3150 hooked to my Windows XP Pro desktop at work.
A long time ago, I set it up to share with OS X by creatign a virtual printer using GhostScript and some other queuing utility - this made is look like a PostScript Laserwriter. Worked great!
Alas, as common with Windows, the system decided to blow iteself away, and had to be rebuilt. I did not keep recipee, and cannot find it online.
Has anybody seen it? The problem is that the LaserJet 3150 is a impure PCL printer using its own format.
    Thanks,

  • (err= -3253) connection with the server was reset. (Windows XP)

I purchased a full album and am having trouble downloading three songs off this album from the iTunes store for Windows XP. The album is Draconian - Turning Season Within. Three of the nine songs off this album will not complete the downloads. It will get almost completely finished, for example: 11.1 MB of 11.3 MB, then it will start downloading the song again from the beginning before
reading: stopped (err= -3253). Then a dialog box pops up saying "connection with the server was reset. I wrote an email to support and tried all the suggested fixes, with no desireable results, including making sure my firewall allows access to iTunes and the iTunes store, changing the startup procedure in "msconfig", and running diagnostics on iTunes to check for connectivity, whick it says I have full connectivity to the internet. This is probably my last hope, that someone else has encountered the (err= -3253) message and can help me with it. This is also the third album I've purchased from the iTunes store and the first time I've had any kind of error message. Please help!

Seems to be a scam/rogue software.

  • Error -3253 while downloading iOS 5

Not sure what's going on.  It starts downloading and stops at 43mb every time.  With the a message saying the connection was reset.  Any suggestions?

im in the exact same boat...got an email this morning describing ios5 and decided to get it (had been waiting for someone to come out with a reliable jail brake for 4.3.1 for awhile...).  Got my iTunes downloaded and updated to 10.5.  Tried downloading the update for the phone and sometimes it goes straight to the 3253 error...sometimes it gets down to like 2 minutes left then pops up the error...really really frustrated about this...if apple is going to keep their products locked down to their specific operating systems...you'd think they could perfect the (lots easier to keep up with 3 things than 100 things like microsoft/android do).  Apple will lose my business if this crap continues...have no use for a product I spent that much money on and cant even make simple updates on.  My parents said they updated theirs like 2 days ago with no problems...im at a loss...really am.
I have tried hardwiring to modem as well with no luck...actually seemed to pop the error message more frequently then.

  • Cannot podcast error 3253 Air America

Podcasting from Air America used to work fine, for the past month however it has been nothing but trouble. Keep having to restart podcast download, getting error message 3253. Support at Air America is nonexistant (would not recomend subscribing to Air America Premium to anyone!!, programs are great but absolutely no tech support for programming that your PAYING FOR!) Have bypassed router to no avail, contacted internet provider (broadband), everything checked out. Problem has to be with I-tunes or Air America. Can't seem to find other people having this problem though. Please help!!! I'm about to crush my I-pod and say <edited by host> Air America too! I've had it!!

I have a premium subscription to Air America. My podcasts stopped coming through on January 11. You are right. Air America is no help whatsoever. They will not answer e-mails or have any support. I think I am going to go to the corporate site and lodge a complaint. Even if they do come through my missing podcasts are old and I want to listen to them in a timely manner. I also subscribe to two other podcasts with other entities and they have been coming through fine so I tend to believe it is Air America.

  • Error 3253 Network Connection was reset

This is my first experience with iTunes and it may be my last! I am trying to download from iTunes. Several times the download has progressed for 9 minutes, but then when I reach 7.8 of 7.9MB completed the download stops and it gives me "error 3253." I tried contacting support and have tried everything they suggested; clear temp files, MSCONFIG services, open ports in Trend Micro, turn off Windows Firewall, etc. I also did the Run Diagnostics in iTunes and received "all tests passed." It would seem to me that if it will stayed connected for 9 minutes then it is not a connection setting problem. Any ideas?

What exact title is it? Sometimes if you post that, others will chime in and say they have a problem with that exact same thing, which could point to bad content on an Apple server.

  • App Download Error -3253

I have been receiving an error when downloading app updates. Apps begin downloading and I get this error on about 9 out of 10 downloads.
"XX MB of YY MB - stopped (err = -3253)
The app downloads can be restarted manually line by line and take 4 or 5 restarts each to complete a successful download. The problem seems exclusive to this one machine.

I've been having this issue as well - I'm running Windows 7 x32, iTunes 10.6.3.25.

  • Err 3253 Network Connection was reset - Detailed description

I have iTunes 12.1.0.71. I am using Windows 7 on a PC. For the past 3 days I have tried re-downloading several items from iTunes Store. Apps, music, etc. While doing so, I am able to get a few but then all of the sudden I get the error 3253 - Your network connection was reset. As soon as I get the error, I can no longer get iTunes to download anything else for the rest of the night.  Now... here comes the good part. As soon as midnight rolls around--poof! Everything starts working again.
First I thought it was my ISP but I talked with them for over an hour and they swear they do not block iTunes traffic for any reason. By the way my internet never goes down. I can browse the web, use Netflix, etc. all while iTunes doesn't download.
During my investigation, I found several reports of this error. Every work around attempt fails. I have tried the OpenDNS. It doesn't fix it. I've tried the Google DNS. I've tried turning off simultaneous downloads. NOTHING WORKS.
Now here is the BEST part. I run a diagnostics check in iTunes for Network Connectivity. It fails when I run it because it says iTunes is not enabled in my firewall.
But guess what. IT IS enabled.
Now, check this... As I said before, this has happened for 3 days straight. It stops working while I'm downloading things and then at midnight--poof, it starts working again. Well when it starts working... I still fail these tests! What good are the diagnostics if they don't even tell you correct information?
I need this fixed. I am an avid iTunes user. I love the product. But this is a huge let down! Apparently I'm not the only person who's had this either. Looks like this same error has been happening since 06 for various reason.  I welcome options to try but don't tell me the same ones I have listed. Also, please don't say it's my ISP or that I have some sort of data cap or bandwidth limit or iTunes is being blocked by my ISP. I've checked and verified. None of these are true. It has to be on something else.  Oh yeah... and my wife uses a Mac. The problem effects her too at the same time as me. Except she gets the 3259 error which is a network time out.

    Hello bryanfromdelphos,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are receiving error 3253 while downloading from iTunes and have already tried a wide range of good troubleshooting steps. In this situation, if you have not done so already, I would suggest following the troubleshooting steps outlined in the attached article.
iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting - Apple Support
    "Error 3000" through "3999"
Alerts with codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the gs.apple.com server on ports 80 or 443. This may be because out-of-date or incorrectly configured security or firewall software is interfering, or due to your Internet proxy settings. If you are using a proxy, try removing the proxy settings, or using a known-good network. If that does not resolve the issue, follow iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
    Have a great day,
    Joe

  • Err = -3253

I have attempted to download a movie from iTunes several times over the past several days.  Initially received an err= 8008 code.  Submitted ticket to Apple and was told that they would put it back in my Available Downloads and was told to try again.  I deleted the files in the download folder and tried again.  Now I am receiving this code:
    - stopped (err = -3253)
Anyone familiar with this code?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Something's up with the network somewhere, though whether it's you or Apple, no one seems to know for certain. I've seen suggestions ranging from turning off simultaneous downloads to changing DNS settings to updating to the latest iTunes, but none of these seem to be consistent fixes.
When the network connection is 'reset' (that's what the error says happened), it suggests some kind of complete disconnection between your computer and the Apple server that's supposed to be sending you the movie.
I've been getting the same thing on a file I'm trying to download, with wildly variable connection speeds from 500K to 1.8 MB/sec (on a hardwired connection to my Airport Extreme), on a network that's generally reliable and stable. The initial download was happening at the speed I expected (about 3MB/sec), until the first -3253 event, after which it began to lag rather badly.
The movie I'm trying to download is an older filem and probably not in high demand, which leads me to wonder if it's been relegated to some kind of low-priority status on the Apple servers - thus decreasing the speed it's served out at, and possibly leading to disconnections.
This feels like something that's happening on Apple's end. It's been reported by too many users, and too many fixes have either worked or not. If it were a consistent error that could be resolved on the user end, there would be one consistent fix for it.

  • Intel GMA 3150 OpenGL 2.0

    Hi,
On this page[0], it is said that the GMA 3150 supports OpenGL 2.0 on Linux. Here on my Samsung N210 netbook, glxinfo reports the following:
OpenGL version string: 1.4 Mesa 7.8.2
Is it possible to have 2.0?
    Thanks!
    [0] http://software.intel.com/en-us/article … raphics/#9

I think until the Mesa people don't implement OpenGL further, it's not possible.
