3155i and pcsuite

Windows XP sp2 64bit
Windows XP professional tablet PC ED sp2
Windows 2000 SP4
pc suite 6.8.22
I have tried installing the software on all 3 of my computers at home and work, I install the software (which includes the dku-2 driver) and the nokie websites say this phone is compatible with the suite and applications I want to use (filemanager, image manager, etc)
The phone detects and I can sync it with outlook express, but the phone itself does not show up in the Nokia Phone Browser in explorer, so I can't access the files on the phone. The image manager does not allow me to put images on the phone, and the backup manager does not find the phone to create a backup of the files on the phone.
I should also mention there don't seem to be any issues with the drivers in the device manager, all drivers are reported to be working fine, with the exception that there are 3 Nokia 3155 USB OBEX driversMessage Edited by lurkingknight on 20-Jun-2006

Please list the drivers in every detail. I do not know what is Image Manager ? Is it Image STORE ? That only reads from phone you cannot put images to phone with it ?

i have samsung corby gts3653 mobile and need to connect internet to mac through it but it doesn't have wifi and pcsuite for mac and how could i able to connect it, through gprs? GPRS is active in mobile but unable to link it with macbook pro(using lion os) can any one reply.

Until the MacBook Air was released and supported in 10.5, the Mac did not consider USB to be a valid Networking Protocol. So set the Mac with USB solutions aside.
To connect computer-to-computer, you typically need to be using an Ethernet crossover cable. Assigning the same address to two Ethernet devices is never the solution -- it gives a Network Conflict, just as you said.
If your Windows box has some mechanism for Sharing its WiFi connection over Ethernet, you would have to follow its rules. Whether that means Manually assigning an Ethernet Address in the same range or the PC will provide the Address, I do not know.
Best success may be running an Ethernet cable to your Wired/Wireless Base Station, or using a "gaming adapter" (Ethernet-to-Wireless no drivers required) connected to the Mac's Ethernet port to give it WiFi access. What is your Base Station {Cable, DSL, FIOS, Other} ? Ethernet cables can be up to 100 meters (an American Football Field). Often the Base Station can be moved closer for more convenience.

  • 6230i and PCsuite connects momentarily then discon...

Ok I have posted this as reply elsewhere, but had no response so I am starting a new thread in the hope that someone wiser than myself will see this and offer some help.
So, Im yet another of the gazillion PCsuite users who is suffering from this issue:
PCSuite6.84.10.3 connects bluetooth momentarily before disconnecting from my 6230i.
Ive read through many many threads, and cannot find a consistent response which resolves this issue. PLEASE SOMEONE let me know the fix or where I can find it before I upgrade to a SonyErikson!I had my phone stolen and trying to get my contacts back onto my new phone with ZERO success.
How can so many suffer from this same issue and not a word of advice or at least apology from Nokia!! And if its not fixable please let me know so I can stop wasting my time and simply upgrade to a compatible phone.
Anyway, enough rant. Thanks for your help in advance

    PS
    I tried
Start -> Run -> services.msc, right-click on Bluetooth Service, hit Start.
it was already active, and repair made no difference.

    ...............anyone?

ok, so spoke to Nokia (moody support), who also suggested the problem may be with WIDCOMM stack, then also spoke to DELL support (as always amazingly helpful).
So yes I have unistalled WIDCOMM and my PC automatically activated Microsoft BT stack. AND WADDYAKNOW it WORKS! Brilliant! I have succesfully updated my contacts, havent tried anything else. But that is all I care about. Thankyou for your help and advice.
Interestingly when I had the same problem a year ago, DELL suggested I updated and reinstall WIDCOMM BT. WHich I did, and for a while this resolved the issue. Now it seems that MICROSOFT BT stack resolves the issue. Go figure.
Perhaps this is to do with the current versions of firmware and PCsuite?
Anyway just happy to have contacts sorted. thanks again.

  • 6021 and pcsuite in vista

    Hi,
Does the pcsuite connection work reasonably reliably with the 6021 and Vista (with latest pcsuite)? I do not need to use the "synch" feature, just want to access SMS messages, contacts and calender via pcsuite. I might buy a 6021 used.
    Thanks

I send these enhancements for iTunes today. But I sent those enhancements for QuickTime since I look the overview of "RUNNING QUICKTIME ON VISTA" and I tried it. Once these enhancement feedbacks has been sent to Apple. They should fix it and not to be ignored. I want to see the new look of iTunes and QuickTime UI Running Windows Vista.

  • Nokia 6070 and pcsuite

hi i wanted to connect my new 6070 to a pc using the nokia pc suite, without any luck.. i both tried the localized, hungarian version, and (after uninstalling the previous) the european (english) (v6.81.13), but non of them worked. i would like to use IR connection, and it seems to be working, as windows recognizes my phone, and if i let it connect to the net, it even downloads a (non-signed) driver for nokia 6070 (the pc suite gave the same error before and after installing the windows driver) the pc suite scans for the phone for a long time, then gives the error shown on this picture. if you have any ideas, please let me know thanks adam

    Hi radarbailey,
Seeing as the phone has got wet this could be a varierty of problems here.
Try a different battery, i have seen a couple of times where a water damaged battery puts the phone into these modes.
Although the above is unlikely it might offer a quick and cheap result.
If that does not work, you can be fairly confident that the phone is not worth getting fixed as the cost of repairing that handset would out weigh the cost of the handset.

  • Linking 6630 and PCSuite 6.8 via Bluetooth

Why does this not work? Why am I experiencing endless problems. I have a reliable, sloid Bluetooth installation on my PC that is used every day for communications without problems.
    1. Just linking is a nightmare. The passkey exchange times out at the phne end before I have a chance to enter it on the PC and the automatic authorisation feature on the phone clearly does not work. Never less than four or five attempts to just get a link.
    2. Synchronisation will not work. It just drops out. Again the Bluetooth functionality on my PC is solid and proven.
I use Windows XP Pro ... is this a problem? Is the PC Suite application simply not up to the job? If so, what is the alternative?

Have you tried unpairing the device (if paired) and re-pairing it via the Nokia Connection Wizard in PC Suite?
Does your pc recognize the 6630 at all?

  • 6680 & Pcsuite

    Hi All
I have an issue with my 6680 and pc pcsuite.
I have the latest firmware on my phone that is available on Nokia's site.
I am running pc suite v6.84.10.3.
I have tried reinstalling both pcsuite on the PC, and pcsuite support on the phone, with restarting both the phone and pc.
I have reset the phone to factory defaults as well.
The problem is that I can copy my MMS messages off the phone onto my pc using the "nokia phone browser" in "my computer" but I cannot copy SMS messages, there are none in the list.
I have tried this on my work laptop and my home pc, so I would think that the PC side of things is not the issue here.
Please any help would be appreciated.
There are doorways I haven't opened and windows I've yet to look through. Going forward may not be the answer, maybe I should go back.

Try moving your messages from Phone memory to Mem.Card
    Menu>Messaging>Options>Settings>Other>Memory In Use
From there choose mem card and wait a few seconds to ask you if you want to copy the messages from phone to memory card.Click Yes
And then try again to move them to the PC

  • PCSuite no longer downloads photos, just sits ther...

Yesturday I had just gone into the store images in pcsuite. It was starting to black scroll to download the images, my phone rang, it looked like it had finished so I pulled the link and answered the phone... When I went back to check, all the images are still on my phone, but nothing on my pc, AND now nothing will download at all, it reverts back to 9-24-2009 as the default save location, but the black bar goes about 1cm and then stops, nothing happens, it won't download anything...
Did I mess something up by pulling the plug? Perhaps it wasn't finished when I pulled the link and corrupted something?
I have taken a new photo to see if I can get the software to recongnize the image is new, no such luck, same thing happens..

Any ideas what I can do to get this to work?
I am using a Nokia 6500C.  And PCSuite Version 6.83.14.1.  Phone firmware, not sure, it was upgraded once I think last year by Nokia service center.
    XP SP3
    Connection method is cable
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Vista x64, PCsuite 6.84, N80, bluetooth - NoGo.

I've mentioned this in a few place but here's a detailed report of my inability to connect to PCsuite over bluetooth
    Phone: Nokia N80 5.0719.0.2
PC: Dell, Pentium 820D 3Gb ram, Vista x64

Now I disagree with that last statement since Microsoft Bluetooth is up and running!
I am able to pair via MS UI, but any attempt to pair with PCsuite results in
    Select connection type -> bluetooth
    NEXT
Detected Devices: N80 (with green handshake symbol) saying "phone needs to be authorized"
    SELECT/NEXT
    X Cannot authenticate the phone
I've tried unpairing, repairing the "connectivity" and "pcsuite" software items, rebooting pc, rebooting phone to no avail.
The same phone works ok on another Vista >>x86 PC, and this phone works ok with a serial connection.

When you say only the MS stack is supported on x64, do you mean that PCsuite can only use the MS stack on x64 - as opposed to saying that BlueSoleil/WIDCOMM aren't supported on x64.
I ask because BlueSoleil definately is supported & works on Vista x64 -- very very recently.
I have found out that there are compatible drivers (from MSI) which should allow use of the MS stack, it's just that for broader purposes (including audio support) the BlueSoleil is more functional, supporting far far more bluetooth profiles, so I would prefer to get this working.

  • HELP PC Suite has stopped working - can't fix it!!

I had PC Suite working fine - last used it to synch a couple of weeks or so ago. Since Sunday (28th Jan) when I tried to synch again, it no longer listed my phone and refused to connect. I have been connecting using a genuine Nokia USB cable. Full details of the problem (long winded!) are below, followed by the PCSuite About screen text. The short version is that it will no longer detect the phone or connect to it (get "no available connection type" ) and when I try to Manage Connections I get a meaningless error msg about "IntIMediaControl2" saying I must reinstall ... which I have now done several times!!! So - before I go back to the Vodafone shop and demand a change of phone AND MANUFACTURER!!! (my T-Mobile phone software works fine!) ..... is there a solution? ------------------------------------------------------- FULL DETAILS ARE:- I have now upgraded, and on Vodafone support advice, removed and reinstalled original from CD, and then downloaded and installed latest version from Nokia web site. I have even tried downloading and installing the drivers separately - since while CtrlPanel->Add/Remove Programs said they were installed, and I have a Nokia modem defined, the PCSuite software maintains that no cable driver is installed. Installing the cable drivers separately just failed - and Windows said that is was scheduling them for deletion! So I have yet again completely removed software and reinstalled the latest Nokia version. Once again, CtrlPanel->Add/Remove Programs says I have the cable driver and PCSuite installed. Network Connections says I have a Nokia N70 modem. NOTE .... I can even use the PC Suite software to connect my PC to the Internet using the N70 as a modem .... but I can't get PC Suite to connect to the phone to synchronise etc.. I cannot use the Manage Connections icon to work ("IntIMediaControl2" error) and in Get Connected it fails on clicking next on the first screen (no connection type available). The PC Suite About screen shows:- Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Language: English Language for non-Unicode programs: English Locale: English Input language: English Nokia PC Suite: Version 6.82.22.0 Language: English Connectivity Cable Drivers: Not installed PC Connectivity Solution: Version 6.43.9.0 Microsoft Outlook: Version 11.0 Build 8010 No supported Bluetooth stack found

Yeah..my PC suite work again now!!! Thanks to all who helped.
First, I un-install everything( PC Suite, Cable Driver, PC connectivity). Deleted the nokia and pc connectivity folder in program files, then delete the nokia registry too( be careful here). Re-start PC.
Re-install Nokia PC Suite and Cable Driver( this should create the PC Connectivity Solution folder too), plug in the cable and making sure all driver are installed by itself or with your help, and see if the USB icon show up in the phone, if not then the Cable driver have not install correctly( re-install ). Once done, Do the repair in PC Connectivity Solution under Add/Remove programs. Re-start PC.
    Everything should works fine now...
    Hope it work for you.

  • C5 music player song cover

Hi, I tranferred my songs (with cover) via bluetooth and pcsuite to my C5 but I cannot understand why on certain songs the cover is visible and on others no.
I opened the song with NO cover visible on C5 with pcsuite VLC mp3 reader and the cover exists BUT the phone doesn't show it.
More: on the songs with VISIBLE cover if I open properties the song on which the cover is shown there is a preview, in the others no but there is the cover as I said before.
It seems that the phone chooses random wich songs should have cover and whish not.
I don't know if the question is clear: thanks for help

Yes Playlists could be saved on C5, When you open music player>playlist>you'll get there "Recently Played" Recently Added" "most played" these are preset playlists. And you can create custom playlists here. and that playlist will be saved unless you want to delete it yourself.

  • HELP!!! Unable to upgrade E50 Firmware!

    Hi,
please help me! I cannot update my E50 firmware, eventhough I have the old version 06.27.1.0. NSU connect properly to my phone, without any problem and detect ir correctly. The first time it did, it started to download a 62mB file. But after the download, it gave the message that there is no upgrade available for my phone!! And it continues to give me the same message each time.
What should I do? Do I have a setting problem?

Uninstall NSU, and PCSuite, clean registry and reboot PC. Install only NSU and try again. That procedure, sometimes works others don´t. After the upgrade, install again PCSuite.

  • PC Suite detecting in 'non-compatible' mode

I updated the PC Suite today. Now the PC Suite fails to connect to E71 in PC Suite mode. It keeps saying the phone has been connected in 'non-compatible mode'.

i doubt it is the USB ports. I have troubleshot an item ee'ons ago and it was once, i heard from a fat cousin, the usb port...let me know if that works.
i am having the same problem. im on windows xp 32 bit home, fw 410.21.010 e71-2. anyway, after many reinstalls, i have solved the problem a little in the sense that after uninstalling everything, and using the pcsuite cleaner and uninstalling ovi music and everything to do with ovi and pcsuite and cable drivers from my xp uninstall function and then going to the regedit and deleting from the CURRENT USER and LOCAL MACHINE, anything to do with nokia and pc connectivitiy cables, and then using ccleaner to clean everything and then a reboot and reinstall of the latest pc suite, DO NOT INSTALL THE 'UPDATE PHONE SOFTWARE' manager. i dont know how the phone is going to check for new FW, but for now, i can use pcsuite and will worry about updating the fw if and when nokia releases anything new, in the future. i took this opportunity to make better sense of my contacts and calendar and have set the sync function so i can sync with ovi - my contacts, calendar, notes.
pc has been very unreliable for me and my two e71's and e65.

There are already so many discussions about installation of NSU and PCSuite, that is better for you do a little search and see if you find your solution. But, just my guess, could be a registry problem...
