32 bit vs. 64bit download link question

My daughter just bought a prepaid CC student and teacher license for her studies. She bought it thru thinkedu.com and it is the $199.00/12 month subscription. Her computer runs windows 8 pro 64 bit OS. The download link says 32 bit. I want to help her install it this weekend and have not clicked on the link yet to install.
Two questions. 1) Will the 32 bit link be a problem in getting the best possible performance out of her computer (hardware aside)? 2) does the subscription begin when activation begins or is the meter running right now?

With the new CC apps, most of the pro video and audio applications now require 64-bit operating systems to run. These native 64-bit applications include Adobe Premiere® Pro CC, Adobe Audition® CC, After Effects® CC, Prelude® CC, and SpeedGrade® CC. Flash Professional CC, Photoshop CC and Lightroom® also require 64-bit on Mac OS.
Where 32 bit and 64 bit versions are available, both will be installed automatically. The 32 bit versions may occasionally be required to run older plugins, though in your daughter's case I doubt she'll ever need the 32 bit versions.
The 64 bit version of each app should be the version which launches by default in each case,

Interactive Report Download Link Question

I have an interactive report where I have outer joined to a table that contain blobs that I want the user to be able to click a link to download. I have a custom procedure that works with the download link. However I can't figure out how to get the download link to only appear for the records that actually have a file (since it is outer joined, only some of the records have a blob file associated with them).

The existing column with the download link was created as a column link, where I specify the url (to my custom download proc). The problem as you can see is that it puts the download link in that column for every row, whether there really is a file to download or not. I'd rather only have a download link where there is a file to download for that record (see the My File column).

If you are passing parameters into your download procedure in the URL then the users will be able to hack the URL and download information they shouldn't be able to. More worrying, if you have granted execute to public (which I think you have to) on the Procedure then information can be downloaded without the user being authenticated.
The solution is to have a page in the application with an On Load - Before Header process that calls the procedure, with some hidden items as parameters for the procedure. You can then evoke the procedure by branching to the page in the usual way and setting the page items in the URL. This will also allow you to add the additional Apex security features such as Session State Protection (Page requires a Checksum). Remember to revoke the execute privileges from Public.
Change the report link to:
SELECT some_columns,
NVL2(my_file,'Download',null) link
FROM your_table Then use the 'column link' region to create the link in the usual way and set the Link Text to #LINK#. If you have set the target page to require a Checksum this will then be added without having to code it into your sql.

Windows 7 Download Link?

Hi All
Just bought a new U350 and I'm eligible for a Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade from Vista Home premium..
I have registered for the upgrade and Lenovo have confirmed the upgrade and are sending out the DVD, the problem is, I don't have an optical drive and would like to download the upgrade instead, anybody know whether this is possible and where the download link is?
Any information much appreicated..

You will need your upgrade media product number, and possibly the vista double install technique to do a clean install though. But you can install immediately, play around with it, and then double install when you receive your media.

10.1.0.2.0 database download link needed for window server 2008 64bit

Here is our plan. We are currently running oracle 10.1.0.2 database on a windowsServer 2003 32 bit.
Now we would like to migrate the database to 10gR2 and run it on our new server windows server 2008 64bit. After doing research, I think I need to go through the following step:
1) install 10.1.0.2 on our new server,
2) clone the database using the current back up data on the new server.
3) install 10gR2 on the new server.
4) using dbua to upgrade the older database to the new version.
Please let me know whether those steps are correct.
If yes, where can I download 10.1.0.2 version database for 64bit window server 2008?

but 10gR1 not listed.

Welcome to the forums !
10gR1 is de-supported, hence you will not find any download links. You will have to create an SR to see if Support can mail you the install media.
How big is the database ? One other option you have is to export the 10.1.0.2 database and import into 10gR2 on the new server. This will achieve the upgrade in one step and will not require the intermediate 10.1.0.2 version on the new server.

Spotify 64 bit download link for windows 7

I can't find the download link for spotify 64-bit - I remember being asked what version of spotify to download, 32 or 64 bit, and i idiotically chose 32 bit. So I uninstalled it to install the 64 bit but it didn't ask me this time and went staright to download the 32 bit...again. Could somebody post the link for specific spotify 64 bit? Thx.

I just double checked on Mac and it seems within the last few versions they added a 64 bit version. So it's very likely there is a 64 bit version for Windows too

First, look at the Product Key label on the bottom of the computer and make sure you can still read it, before proceeding.
How is this legal? As long as you have the Product Key (from the bottom of a computer you paid for) for the corresponding version of Windows you download, it is perfectly legitimate and legal.

You shouldn't need to edit any of the files. The Windows 7 ISO is a retail, untouched version. It doesn't have a Product Key embedded into it.
You should be able to use a Windows 7 Product Key from the label on the bottom of the computer with no issues. The installation will ask you for a Windows 7 Product Key. The only exception would be if the Product Key were in use on a different computer. From my understanding, as long as it is not already in use, it should activate.

Download link broken? (RESOLVED)

Is anyone else having problems downloading OEM Grid Control 11gR2 for 64-bit Linux. The links for other operating systems like 32-bit Linux appear to work, but the link for 64-bit Linux says "We're sorry, the page you requested was not found." I also cannot find a way to report broken links to the webmaster. Hmmm.
A few weeks ago I downloaded the files, but went on vacation. After vacation I tried to unzip the files and discovered two of the three files are corrupt. I need to re-download the files but keep getting error 404.
EDIT - The link is working again.

Unable to access Adobe Premiere download link after putting in redemption code.

I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 and Premiere Elements 2.0 a couple years ago. I purchased a new laptop and was able to download Photoshop. However, I always get an error when I try to access the download link to Premiere. Am I missing something?

Here are the points that I am not clear on....
1. As far as I know, there are no Premiere Elements 2 installation files to be downloaded from Adobe at this time. The exception
might be if you purchased as download from Adobe with the promise that the files would be available to you in the future for another
download if and when needed. That typically comes with a time limit of maybe 3 years (not sure). To follow up on that, you would
go to the Adobe web site, sign in with your Adobe ID and Password, type "My Orders" in the Search field, follow the "My Orders" link
until you get to your order specifically for Premiere Elements 2. That is the location where the installation files should be if still
available.
2. But "1" becomes questionable with your mention of redemption code. Adobe sales have typically given serial number not redemption code.
This makes me think that you purchased from a retailer. But, then from where are you now trying to download these Premiere Elements 2 installation
files.
3. I do not believe that you are going to be able to install Premiere Elements 2 on Windows 8.1 64 bit. I have a purchased Premiere Elements 2
installation disc, and later today I will try to install Premiere Elements 2 on my Windows 8.1 64 bit laptop.
Do you have any other information on this which would put the matter into perspective for me.

T61p Mouse/Trackpoint Vista 32 drivers download link broken

How to make downloadable links in Adobe Muse

I am new to website design and am trying to figure out how to make downloadable links for some PDF flyers, PSD templates I am creating. Not sure if "downloadable links" is the correct term for what I'm trying to say but in a nutshell I am creating Business Flyer's in PDF form and Photoshop PSD template files that I would like to be able to have my users click a link that allows them to download them right to their desktop. Any help would really be appreciated!

How do I remove download links/button redirect to accurate download

When I go to some sites that have a download link underscored in blue or a button next to text or any other part of the page, I was able to click and download the file. When you point at the link or button you would see the path it will take to download the file. It would have the website name your visiting plus other codes.
But on returning to these sites, when I choose what I want to download, the link or button wants to go to accuratedownload.com. It presents the name of the item I want and with a .EXE extension. My main browser is Firefox version 26.0 on my XP PC. I test Internet Explorer and it produces the same results. Something has changed. I go to the site on my mobile phone, I am able to download the file from the same site and the links/buttons are not embedded with codes to go to accuratedownload.com. I do not know what to call this problem since I had no luck in finding solutions to redirection being embedded in a link or button on a web page that worked fine.
I've tried a reset Firefox, my profile, running Symantec Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Anit-Malware, Clearing history and so on. The problem still occurs. Need Help.
Note: It would be nice if when the Download Screen pops-up, that we could rename the download file to a name we want (Saves time). Even if you rename the file, the history should record where it came from with the original name if it needs to be downloaded again.

To let you know, When I did a reset and restarted Fire Fox without the Add on's. I tested each user account on my PC. Each user account that used Fire Fox or Windows Explorer showed the same symtoms.
Back to troubleshooting, I've completed a scan using Sothos Free Virus Removal Tool. After a lengthy scan of every drive, partition, USB Thumb Drive and so on that it found, in about 5.5 hours it found Mal/FakeAvCn-C, Mal/JavDlEx-A and CXmal/BadLnk-A and continued by clicking the Clean Up button and that took about 15 minutes for some reason. Then it asked to send the log to Sophos. I clicked send and it failed to get to them.
I tried going on the internet to test the cleanup by clicking on some links and buttons. I could not get on the internet. I found that the NIC card was not working. Don't know why now but probably was affected by the scan. I found myself troubleshooting and reinstalling NIC drivers several times before the NIC card started to run correctly.
I read you post and tried to change the proxy settings in Fire Fox to "No Proxy." The scan, clean up and proxy settings change did not remove the embedded paths in links or buttons that allow you to download or be sent to the intended location. It still had paths to accuratedownload.com and eachdownload.com.
Question: By default is the proxy setting suppose to be "Use system proxy settings"? Should I put this back to this setting.
Windows Explorer has the same problem. Is Fire Fox a stand alone product or does it build parts of itself using Windows Explorer?

Besides the scans and removal done to the registry, the scans it did on the files and folders, the Sophos log shows the virus attached to files in Documents and Folders, All Users (and other user accounts), Application and data folders, Java and Cache, including any shortcuts and long cryptic files like (pg42l784fcuo452hsb6cfbkoke045p75f2e02887m).
