3210 Photosmart all-in-one printer

I have a 3210 photosmart all-in-one printer. I've used this printer for 3yrs now with out a problem. I was having problems with computer being slow so I tried a fix and that led to while reloading the disc that came with printer it had a"Fatal Error". A little upset yes. Starting thinking about and I remembered when I bought my new computer I loaded all the stuff I had on my Sony Viao coputer to a laptop and transfered it to the new Dell XPS. I was hoping everything would work on the new Dell. Pretty much everthing worked. I had a online company clean my computer and tune up to be fast again. It became fast again oh yeah! Well the problem reared it ugly head the minute I push the scan button on the printer. It show an error on the little screen (no scan options)Refer to device documention to toubleshoot.I did all that stuff and I'm at a point now I've downloaded from HP an updated patch to run vista. what I realize now is when I transfered from Sony to the Dell, The Sony was running Windows 98 and my new Dell run Vista Home Premium. So as it was everything worked until now. Can anyone help me fix this?

A lot of this computer stuff is new to me so please forgive me if it takes me awhile to run it through my brain a few times to try to understand how to use the information. Maybe I could explain where my head is now. I have a DEll XPS 420 and the software that came with it had HP printer stuff on it. Just last week I had a company clean my computer of stuff that was causing it to run and start very slow . They said I had over 700 errors in the registry include some viruses. I did find the problem till a day after when I pushed the scan button on the printer.)No Scan Options) showed up on the little screen. I call that company back an explained my problem and they took control of my computer and tried to fix it. The solution they came up with was an I-con on my desk top that when you click on it it bring the paint program up and use that or he have a much more involved procedure to try to restore it. Now I've had a few days to ponder and it comes to mind that my old Sony was running Window 98 and my Dell is using Vista home premium. My Son used his laptop downloaded everything from Sony and then downloaded everything on to the Dell. my gut tells me that the software that came with the printer when i bought the Sony it is for 98,Me,2000,XP . When I uninstalled HP and went to web site downloaded latest version for my HP 3210v all-in-one printer it come up with a fatal error. When you received your printer you should have received two insulation disks one is for Windows computers and the other one is for Mac ( Apple Computer) If you have the disks please install Mac disk. Apple computers do search and down load the parcel software so you can do basic printing commands. You need to find the program that is some where in your computer that allows you to hook up Pinters and Devices. Ounce you find this open it up then connect the printer cable to the lap top. The computer program will list HP's printers yuo need to select your printers model number. Then it will down load the drivers for it to run basic commands. Ounce they are download run a test to make sure it is working right. Contact HP's store and asked them to send you a new set of insulation disk. Your old disk may have fine dust film on them. Clean them off pior to inserting them If you use glass cleaner and fine cloth make sure they are dry off before you insert them. If you used them before maybe a speck of dirt blocked out parcel program that caused it not to install correctly . frrw

Can't setup wireless printing : HP4385 Photosmart All-In-One Printer / Linksys Router/Mac OS 10.5

I am attempting to set up my printer to operate wirelessly. I have the computer and printer connected via USB for the setup.
I have :
PRINTER : HP All In One Photosmart C4385
ROUTER : Linksys wireless B (WPA security)
COMPUTER : Macbook Mac OS 10.5.8 notebook.
I've downloaded the correct HP software.
On the printer, the wireless radio is set to "on"
PROBLEM : Using the HP Setup Assistant, I select my Wi-Fi network, and get an error message " the selected Wi-Fi network is not within reach of the device"
The printer and router are in the same room with nothing blocking them.

Print a WIreless Network Test from the front of the printer. It will self-test the printer's radio.
Can you give me the exact model number of your router? If it is a 802.11b router, it may be time for a new one. If it is, are you sure you are using WPA and not WEP?

Photo Tray Parts Repair, C6180 Q818A Photosmart All-In-One Printer Scanner

Something must be missing in the front of the photo tray on my All-In-One C6180 Q818A Printer, and I cannot find a parts breakdown on this. (I've liked buying HP products because of ease in finding such parts breakdowns, i.e. laptops, showing how to disassemble and repair, with part numbers.)
When I insert photo paper, there is not a "stop" when pushing paper forward, like there used to be. Looking closely, with a flashlight, there is nothing to stop the paper from sliding all the way forward and then downward on to the regular printing paper in the lower tray.
I'm guessing something is missing, or something has not moved to create a "stop" when the upper photo tray is pulled back?
Can anyone tell me what is missing and/or what I need to order to fix this? Is there an on-line viewable parts breakdown for these paper trays? Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to edit your photos on your Photosmart C6150 recently but I will absolutely do my best to lend a hand to help out
Would I be safe to assume the printer's screen only goes completely black when trying to edit a photo? If you try anything else on the printer (say a copy, a test page, or navigating the Setup menu) do you get the same screen at any time?
Is the printer plugged directly to a wall outlet? If not, please move it to one.
Do you have to unplug the printer, or turn it off, to get it back to a regular screen?
Did you notice any changes or anything prior to this happening?

HP Photosmart all in one printer 6150 model b2lla

The above printer will scan to computer when I do scan from my laptop which is a Samsung Q330 operating system windows 7. When I press scan from the printer itself an error screen displays 'no computer found'. This has happened before and I did an uninstall then did a reinstall then it worked for awhile. Now a few days later it has happened again I could not scan from the printer itself only when I do scan from the computer. Pls can anyone help with this problem. I have made no changes to my computer. Thanks

I understand you cannot scan from the printer, but you can from the computer with Windows 7, and your HP Photosmart 6510 b211a, and I am happy to help you with this issue!
Please take a look through this guide. A 'No computer found' Message Displays during Scanning, and let me know what happens.

HP PSC 2410 Photosmart All-in-One Printer install no internet

Hi, I'm trying to install this printer for my grandfather (without the cd). My grandfathers computer is not connected to the internet so the standard advisor program will not be able to download anything. It appears there is no standalone driver I can download and bring to him. I've downloaded the windows xp/2000 driver, but some reviews online make it seem like that won't work.
How can I install drivers for this printer without an internet connection?

Welcome to the HP Forums.
Just so you know, HP does not have a full feature software and driver package available for this printer. You could however try the Deskjet 960c driver that is located in the add a printer folder.

HP PHOTOSMART ALL IN ONE PRINTER C4500

I have the above printer. I was using OS 10.6 snow leopard and everything was great. I have Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac installed. Everytime I use it it takes my printer off line also everytime I use another computer it takes printer off line and I have to restart my Macbook Pro. It will print then until I use the Office program or another computer. I would even purchase another wireless printer for the M. Pro but afraid that I will have problems with it. Can ANYONE HELP. I have went through PAM and still have the same problems. Upgrades are up todate. Printer driver is in Apple support uninstalled twice and reinstalled and used HP web site which sends me to Apple for driver which I have down loaded and printer is listed.

Mac Mini and the HP Photosmart All in One Scanner

When I got my Mac Mini from MacMall, I got the free HP Printer (C3180 Photosmart all in one) printer works fine, copier works fine, but I am not able to Scan. HP is no help because their chat customer service reps "are only trained on PC related issues". The basic problem is that when I try to scan using the HP Device Manager, it either freezes up and I have to force quit or it comes up with a message saying scanner not found. I already re-installed the drivers, but no luck.
Any ideas? Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I even reloaded the drivers and reinstalled everything. Interesting part.... when I reinstalled, for the first initial preview scan it worked, gave me the full image on the preview screen, but after that, nothing. Wouldn't re scan, would do a final scan. And from that point doesn't even see the scanner. Worked for 30 seconds, then nothing. Printer works, copier works, but scanner is MIA.

HT1338 How do I get the Lion update for the HP Photosmart 3210 All in One Printer? The auto software update says none are available, while HP says one is available.

I just installed LION and no Power PC Apps work.
HP says there are updates for Lion from MAC APP store for the HP 3210 PhotoSmart All in Printer and provided instructions.
I followed these but no updates were visible or installed. Any idea why?
Is there a place where I can look at Apple for an update?
If no update is available, can anyone recommend a good flatbed scanner for under $400 that works with Lion?

The drivers do available from Apple and your Mac may fails from getting them due to any connectivity or installed software issue.
First make sure you don't have any previous OS drivers installed:
Open Finder, then click Go > Computer and select the active volume of your OS.
(If have couple and not sure which one is correct, click the Apple icon > About This Mac.)
Open Library\Printers and move the HP folder to the trash.
Enter into PPDs\Contents\Resources, search for 3200 in that folder and move the results files.
Reboot your Mac, ensure the printer is turned on, in Ready state and directly connected to your Mac.
Enter Print & Scan, click the Plus sign and you shoud see your printer listed.. select it and click Install.
If no printers appears at all there is a connectivity issue.. ensure it is directly connected and not through any USB hub or adaptor, the cable is not longer than 2m length.. otherwise try a new USB cable.
If the printer appears but stil cannot locate drivers for yoru printer download and install the package below and then try adding the printer again:

Although the C7280 is not AirPrint enabled, you may still print through the local network using the HP ePrint mobile app.

Problem with installing Solution Center for a HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer - C309g

Hi folks,
I've searched many threads and found some directions to remedy this, tried them and have had no luck.
I'm running Windows 7. All updates are current. When I bought the printer I installed the software (on Windows 7 OS) from the disc and everything was fine. Fast forward a year and Solution Center stopped working.
Uninstalled all HP software to reinstall. I was only able to reinstall HP Update. I was able to load the basic drivers for print and scan, but not the entire software suite including Solution Center. The installation stops abruptly after "installing updates".
I even downloaded and tried "PS_AIO_06_C309g-m_USW_Full_Win_enu_140_175" and got the same result as the original installation disc.
What can I do with my printer (HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer - C309g)???

I hate to hear you are having issues. What suggestions have you tried? Did you get an error when installing? How are you connecting the device? Before completing the below steps run the print and scan doctor to see what it indicates and if the issue is resolvable through that tool(click + beside utility diagnostic tools, then download beside print and scan doctor). Click Here
If you are still experiencing the issue the steps below may help resolve it.
Try using the scrubber built into the software, then reinstalling from the current download available on the website.
From original printer installation CD:
1. Insert CD into drive, and then cancel the installer
2. Open My Computer, and then right click on the CD drive and chose open
3. Open folder Util
4. Open folder CCC
5. Run the uninstall_ L4.bat for non-HP computers only.   For HP computers run the Uninstall_L3.bat NOTE: Performing level 4 uninstall on HP computer will negatively affect operating system functionality-HP and I are not responsible for damages or loss of data caused
6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
7. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
8. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

9. Use the following tool to clean the registry. Note: This utility is not HP sponsored or approved. HP and I are not responsible for damages or loss of data caused by the utility. This step is optional.   You can skip it if you want.
