3220 - tesconet

I have recently purchased a Nokia 3220. I am unable to connect the phone to my PC. I have downloaded the necessary drivers but whenever I try to connect all I get is a message saying enhancements not supported. I know that the drivers and cables work as I am able to connect my other phone. Also if I try to use another sim card (T Mobile) the phone shows a message phone locked. It would be appreciated if anyone could give me any help in rectifying this problem.

Can you please tell which cable you are using?

  • How to set up a Canon iR 3220-C1 with 10.7

I'm trying to print to a Canon iR C3220 with ImagePASS C1 from an iMac with OSX10.7. I've tried installing the Canon drivers, which install correctly, but then when I add the printer via LPD with said drivers (setting the queue to print) it just pauses and does not print, or seems to be sending the job indefinitely. I cannot install the imagePass drivers from the Canon website because they are no longer supported in 10.7. Anyone know how to get this dang thing up and running? For the record, there's no LP option in the additional functions menu, and HP DirectJet or whatever it's called also doesn't work. I'm trying to connect to it over the network.

We just got a new computer running OS X 10.9 Mavericks that we had to connect to our Canon ImageRunner 3220 with imagePASS-C1 printer. With the generic drives and drivers downloaded from Canon I got one of three results: 1. wont' print. 2. prints grainy black and white. or 3. won't print tabloid (11x17). I found a driver that worked. w3.efi.com/Fiery/Fiery=Support/download. I selected Canon, imageRUNNER C3220, PS Print Server Unit-C2 v1.0, All OS. Then selected the English version - Ps_drv_ImagePASSC2_iRC3220_v1.0_WIN_English.zip. I was really skeptical since the file is clearly labeled WIN for windows. But I was at a loss, so I tried it anyway. After unzipping the file I went to System preferences, Printers & Scanners, hit the + to add a printer.  Selected IP to add a printer on the network then put in the following settings: Address: [the printers IP], Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD, Queue: print (lowercase like PAHU said), Name: [whatever you want to name your printer], Location: [leave blank], Use: [Select Other] and navigate to the unzipped files and select EF6M6060.PPD. Then add the printer. This worked and gave us the ability to print double sided.

  • Printing with a networked Canon iR 3220 and my Intel iMac

I am at my wits end and I hope someone can help.
I am the sole Mac user in my company. I have a brand new, shiny 24" dual processor (intel) iMac running OS 10.4.9, that is connecting wirelessly to our network. We have a mixture of IIS and Linux servers (I believe the IIS is solely for the Windows Exchange server) Ther are 30 or so printers on the network and the one I am supposed to be printing to is a Canon Image Runner 3220 (iR 3220).
I am no Mac newbie, but I can't get the thing to print correctly. I have updated the driver from Canon (v. 1.70PS) and the PPDs (v. 2.25), followed the instructions and it will not automatically select the correct PPD. When I reset the PPD manually, it spools to the printer, but then stops all my print jobs. I try to resume and it spools and stops.
I have tried adding the printer via CanonIP, LPR, Appletalk (which gets me a message that I am connected incorrectly), setting up a sacrificial altar to the printing gods...nothing seems to work. I've tried using the iR 3200 driver and that doesn't work either.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I would appreciate any help I can get at this point.
    Mike

    Hello Mike,
The first thing you need to do is determine if the iR C3220 is using the Canon printer board or the imagePASS-C1/C2 print server option. If you look at the back of the iR C3220, and there is a rectangular box with an Ethernet cable connecting to the copier, and what looks something like a SCSI-2 cable also connected between the white box and the copiers interface board, then you have the imagePASS controller. This device requires a different driver to the PS v1.70 and PPD v2.x you are currently using. It also requires a queue name of 'print' or 'direct' (or 'hold' if you don't want the job to print) and it must be entered in lower case.
Since it sounds like there are PC's on the network, have a look at their printer setup and see which driver they are using. You can also check their port config to see how they are connecting.
If the iR C3220 doesn't have the imagePASS print controller and the PC users have the PCL5c driver installed, then you may find that the iR C3220 doesn't have the PS option - it may be PCL5c only. The easiest way to tell is to open the printers web page (called RUI) by entering the printers IP address in your browser of choice. With the default page open, select Additional Functions and then Custom Settings (you may be prompted for a system ID & password). If you get past this the new view will show if you have PS as well as PCL. If there is no PS, then you will have to look at installing the latest version of Gutenprint and selecting Generic PCL5c as your 'ppd'.
If the PS option is installed, then the v1.70 driver should be okay, although there is a trick to adding it. In the Printer Setup Utility, after clicking Add, select More Printers and then Canon IP (PS). In the new window input the IP address and a queue name of LP. When you click Add the copier is queried by the driver to determine what model it is, meaning that once it is displayed in the printer list it should show the iR C3220. Given that this didn't happen for you (and if the imagePASS is not being used) then a likely cause can be the disabling of SNMP in the copier setup. You may have to get the IT guys to enable this (or at least explain why it is off).
If you go the other way of manually selecting LPD as the protocol (AppleTalk is not supported by the PS v1.70 driver) then you need to ensure that for the print using you select iR C3220 CanonPS for the ppd. If you see Canon iR C3220, don't use this as it is the wrong ppd for the PS driver - it is there as part of the PPD installer.
If you want to try using the PPD, then you can use AppleTalk but of course this has to be enabled in the copier, and if your the only Mac then it is likely that it is disabled. Again the RUI page can tell you this or you can print a Config page from the copier (I think you go Additional Functions > Report Settings > Network > User Data List).
Hope something above is helpful and if not, please reply back.

  • Engenius ECB 3220 on a WRT54G

I want to hook up a 3220 as an AP to my WRT54G. Do I use the crossover cable that comes with the 3220?
The 3220 requires a static IP of 192.168.1.2 to run as an AP, but the web browser edit screen won't come up. (Well, it came up once and I think that was because of solar flare activity.)
Should it be 'seen' by the WRT54G, somehow? Maybe not under DHCP client list, but somewhere else?
I'm running a Westell 6100 modem in Bridge mode to the WRT54G WAN connection. Have both a LAN and wireless connection recognizing the Linksys SSID.
    Thanks for the help.

Follow up on this project: it's working great. ECB3220 connected with a CAT5 crossover directly to the WRT54G. No problem accessing the web browser utilities for either unit.
I used WDS on the ECB3220 and linked the MAC address/channel of the WRT54G on the ECB3220 which is running in Access Point mode.
Another ECB3220 in Bridge mode at the house which I'm bridging to a wireless card seems to do the trick. Next will be to connect a Gigabyte wireless router at the house.
I'll live with this for awhile, then on to OpenWRT.
    Thanks,

  • POL-3220 Duplicate keys in unique/primary index.

The error is pretty self explanatory and I even know where the issue is coming from. What I don't know is how to correct the problem.
We have an application that uses Oracle Lite to synchronize data on our users' computers with a master Oracle database. The application and synchronization was built long before I arrived at the company and I admit that I have very little understanding of how the Oracle Lite replication process works.
A couple of the tables in our database have ID numbers that are created by a sequence (named GUID_SEQ). That one sequence provides the ID numbers for several different tables. What little bit that I know about Oracle Lite's replication process is that it sets aside a batch of numbers for each user to use for the sequence so that there aren't multiple people attempting to use the same number.
I have a user who is now reporting that he is getting the POL-3220 error when attempting to create a new record in one of the tables using the sequential ID numbers. I looked into his local Oracle Lite table and found that he was allocated the number 103002 thru 103502 and his current value is 103044. I checked the server side table and found that all numbers between 103002 and 13502 already exist. (I'm not a genius, but I think this is why he's getting the error).
My question is, how can I reset the "batch" of numbers that the user is assigned so that he can get past this error?
    Thank you

the timeout when waiting for a lock was a problem we encountered many times on the windows mobile. we had seen that it sometimes happens when connection drops during a sync and then you try syncing from start. then you got the error. we could manuall force a full refresh by deleting the temp files that olite stored in orace file. i would like to suggest you that you should have all the latest patches (if we are talking about 10gr3 ver) since many bugs have been fixed. we in our company have found 3 serious bugs ourselves and all have been fixed and included in the patches.
now , if you put the sequence in a higher starting value you "should" be able to force it to start giving numbers from that point and onwards. BUT although i love olite i do admit that sometimes things might go wrong. for instance it wouldnt suprise me if you then would be forced to fully unistall-reinstall the clients olite because you would get a message saying something about the sequence not being able to apply on the the client.
in my opinion, your idea is a good one, but try it first in your development environment before the production. oncerning the fact that the numbers have already been used i do admit that it is kinda weird because we never run into this issue. olite always gave diffrent number windows for each client , not once did olite gave the same window to 2 clients. therefore having the same primary key never occured.
please make sure you are not using some other kind of primary key generation in parallel (something you wrote yourself, like storing the value on a table and increasing it).
by the way i would bed that you can find the next value of the sequence if you check the tables in the mobileadmin schema in the database and try to find a table indicating sequences (havent searched it my self but i believe it is stored there because , olite works this way)

  • Goepel PXI-3220 not visible in MAX

I have installed 2 goepel pxi-3220 cards into a NI PXI-chassis. But there arent visible in MAX. The drivers in the windows device manager are present and working fine. I would like to have these two cards visible in MAX. Does anyone have any experience with these analogue output cards?

    Hello,
Only devices that were produced using the VISA driver development Wizard are viewable in MAX. If the 3rd party manufacturer did not use our driver wizard, then the device will not show up in MAX. If that is the case, the card must come with a programming API and also some sort of configuration program. It sounds as though the drivers and are installed correctly since you see them in the device manager.

  • Network Connection in Nokia 3220 help..

Anybody who tried network connection in Nokia 3220? I already tried HttpConnection, StreamConnection and ContentConnection to download a simple txt file but none of them succeeded :(

I suspect that the VM is to bussy printing your dots, and has not time to serve other threads.
Put a delay inside the while loop, I guess it will start working then.

  • Mac Os X when printing to a canon ir 3220 job stops

We have a canon im 3220 and when i try printing there the job just Stops i see the job go to print center but once is there it says its oppening the printers connection, and then after that it just stops (no errors messages or codes). Im the only one with Mac here so no body else have the same problem.
    Any suggestions ?
    Mac   Mac OS X (10.2.x)

    Hello Brian,
To use the Canon PS v1.81 driver, you first of all need to run the included PS installer, so that the files get copied to the Mac. At the end of the installation you will be prompted to restart. You must do this for the installation to complete correctly.
After restarting, you are ready to add the printer. Now, the PS driver does not support AppleTalk, so you will not be able to browse to the printer. You will have to know the IP address of the iRC3220 to add the printer queue. Once you have the IP address, you select to Add and then select More Printers. From the top menu select Canon IP (PS). This will present a dialog for entering the IP address of the iRC3220 and a queue name, which is usually LP. Click Add and the software will then select the appropriate PPD so that when the printer is displayed in the Printers list, the Kind section will show Canon iRC3220.
Note that with the PS driver installed, you do not require the PPD's as well. But if you did want to use them, which would be the case if you wanted to use AppleTalk, then you should find them located under Canon when you browse. Note that like the PS driver, you do have to run the installer included with the PPDs in order for the files to be copied to the Mac.
The last thing to mention is that the iRC3220 also has an external print controller option called an imagePASS-C1 or C2. This is a white metal box that hangs on the back of the copier. If you do have an imagePASS connected to the copier, then the two drivers you have downloaded are not suitable for this print controller. You will need to download the drivers for whichever model of imagePASS you have.
    Hope this helps.
    Merry Xmas from Down Under.

  • How to sweep IV curve using GPIB instrument (ILX 3220)

Hi, I'm new to Labview---I learned basic stuff, such as strings, arrays, structures, etc. I have an ILX-3220 current source, NI-488.2,and I want to make an IV curve using a light-emitting-diode. I'm really confused about what I should use. I downloaded intrument drivers from ILX's website. They provide some example VIs, but I can only set one current and read one voltage. I try to configure the block diagram by adding a for loop, then I got lost among the complicated SubVIs. I also tried to use I/O Instrument assistant to communicate with the current source, but apprarently it didn't listen to me . I can input the commands one by one (LAS:LDI 5   LAS:LDV?  LAS:LDI 10  LAS:LDV?.....)----not much differently from writing down by hands. Is there a way to sweep IV curve using ILX 3220?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Yes, you will have to use a loop - either a for loop or while loop. I'm not familiar with the instrument or functions but at the minimum, you would need to place the function that sets the current and the function that reads the voltage inside the loop. The loop would probably have a shift register and you would wire this to the current set function. Inside the loop would be an increment function and some code to determine if the max current has been set. Below is a generic ramp application.

If you are connecting the Ethernet cable from the printer directly to the Mac then you will have to set a manual IP address on the Mac's Eithernet port and on the Canon.
If the Canon and the Mac are connecting to a network where there is a DHCP server or a router that can provide IP addresses to connected devices, then you can set the Canon to DHCP.
    Hatim Khambati wrote:
    2) Secondly what ip should i enter in the add printers and scanners part, and what software should i be selecting in the part where it says USE
The IP address that you enter will be the IP address used by the Canon. So in the scenario where you set a manual IP address in the Canon, then you would enter this IP address in the Printers & Scanners > Add Printer > IP window.
As for the Use menu, if you have installed the Canon PS driver, then for the C3220 you would select the entry shown as "Canon iR C3220 PS"
    Hatim Khambati wrote:
    3) Is there a different way to install the driver in a mac. because i downloaded the driver and installed it, but how do i know if the driver is being used or not
You can check if the Canon PS driver has been installed on the Mac by navigating to the Canon folder located in Library > Printers. Here you should see a folder called "CUPSPS2".
If you are not sure how to get to the Canon folder, with Finder open click on Go then Go to Folder. Then type (or copy) the following
    /Library/Printers/Canon
and then click the Go button. This will take you to the Canon folder and here you should see the CUPSPS2 folder.
    Hatim Khambati wrote:
and regarding the metal box there is nothig that is hanging tho but there is a slot where i can connect the machine tru ethernet whcih is at the left side of the machine.
Okay. That confirms you are using the internal Canon print controller and not the optional imagePASS print controller. So you have the correct driver. You just need to get the copier configured with an IP address that is correct for your network and then you can add the printer.
