3250 Media 10 Connection

I have tried connecting my 3250 to win xp sp2 to use with Windows Media Player 10, but when ever I choose this option Windows cannot install this hardware.
Does anyone know if the driver is in PC Suite, or do I need to download and install it seperately?

Hi,
So you guys are having fun with XP & your 3250 and I have spent the first few hours with my new 3250 figuring out how to get my Mac to say hello to it!
I can now get the phone to appear as an external memory card (via USB) which is a joy.
I've not been able to get iSync to like it yet though. I *did* make an insert to the MetaClasses.plist file, and this got me as far as sending the iSync applic to the 3250 - but guess what, the phone won't open any of the AppleSyncAgentAgents for s60 - v1, v2.0 or v2.2.
Aaaargh.
Does anyone know if this is a problem with the 3250? I can't even get it to open other .sis files... (such as themes) message is "Installation of [filename].sis is not supported.
Thanks!Message Edited by ajweir on 11-Apr-2006

  • Can't get Xbox Media Connect to work with WRT54GX4 router

My Xbox 360 and 2 computers all run through my WRT54GX4 router. They all use wired connections.
I can't get Media Connect to work so I can stream pics and videos through my Xbox.
I have the correct ports set up and enabled per Xbox instructions. but still no joy. When I go to the Media tab and select pictures, it will list my computer but when I try to select it, it fails to connect.
Note that when I go to Library, media sharing on my PC it does list the Xbox there and I have "allow" selected.
Is there a problem with this router and Media Connect? I am running the latest firmware.
    Thank you,
    - Chris

    Thanks DT for the reply!
As noted, my Xbox actually is connected wired, not wirelessly.
I have all the ports open, but I am unclear on whether the IP address I enter into my router here should be for the *host PC* (in my case IP *.101) or for the Xbox (*.103). The Xbox instructions aren't crystal clear here... they just say the ports must be open for your computer.
I've tried it both ways and neither works, but would like to know which is correct so I can give it another go.
    Thanks,
    -Chris
P.S. - I've also gone through MS tech support (phone) to no avail.

  • Satellite A20-S103: No internet - no media connected when typing ipconfig

    Hi,
A few days ago, i installed windows xp on my Toshiba (SA20-S103).
I've installed all the drivers but the internet doesn't work.
It keeps saying "no media connected" when typing Ipconfig.
Does anyone know if the problem has to do with the drivers of the ethernet card (Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC) or with the chipset drivers. I've tried so many drivers, but can't solve the problem.

    Hi
Did you check if the LAN card driver was installed properly and if there are no yellow exclamation marks in device manager?
From my own knowledge the message no media connected appears if the LAN cable was not connected correctly or if the cable is broken.
    Should check this too!

  • WRT54G and Windows Media Connection

I just bought an XBOX 360 w/the USB wireless networking adapter installed in it.  I've installed the wireless adapter and configured it and it has successfully connected to my WRT54G wireless router.  I then went to my laptop (this laptop is already configured for my wireless network) and installed Windows Media Connection so I could stream my MP3's to the XBOX 360.  While installing the Windows Media Connection software, the software attempts to locate the XBOX 360 console.  All of these attempts failed.  I have disabled Windows Firewall on my wireless interface on my laptop just so you know.  I began to research some of the potential problems that I'm having and I came across this:
The following table lists the specific information about Media Center Extender programs that you must know to configure some non-Microsoft firewalls:
    Program/File Name    Port                Direction
    Ehshell.exe                  TCP5555         Incoming
    Ehshell.exe                  UDP 7777        Incoming
    Mcrdsvc.exe                UDP3776         Incoming
    Svchost.exe                 UDP 1900       Incoming
    Svchost.exe                 TCP3390         Incoming
    Mcxnettw.exe               Random          Outgoing
    Mcrmgr.exe                  TCP3932        Outgoing
    Ehexthost.exe              Random          Outgoing
The actual link to this requirement is:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911728
I'm a little confused as to how I implement these requirements on my WRT54G.  Please chime in and tell me what tab and sub-tab that I apply these changes.  I assume that I would implement these requirements in the "Applications and Gaming" section, but I'm not sure.
    Thanks so much,
    David

First, you must set static IP and DNS on your XBOX (IP address should be the same range on with the router, you can get the DNS from your working computer or on the status page of the router's web ui). Then all you need to do is forward the ports being used by XBOX to the router. Click Here on how to do port forwarding on the Router.

  • How do i reestablish a media connection through a usb

I had a media connection through the usb, but when i turned it off to only charge through the usb, i wasnt able to find where to turn it back on.

I'm very sorry that you haven't seen the option to transfer media through your device, rrmcw1968. I use that function with my Droid Turbo to back up my pictures and videos. I'd like to help you, but I need to know which model device you have and the operating system of the computer you're using (Windows version, iOS version, Linux, etc). Thanks!

  • Weird Media Connection Issue

I am capturing some material for a project I was working on a few months ago, and just reopened to capture more footage. Some of what I captured needs to be cut into a sequence. When I open the sequence, I'm missing some audio clips, they're offline. When I go to reconnect them, Final Cut as it normally does suggests the previous location that's somehow been changed. Except this time, FCP is telling me the location is:
    JNH 2:.Trashes: 501:
JNH 2 is the name of the drive. All the other media connects there and has no issues. First of all I don't know what Trashes: 501 is, secondly, I have a backed up drive with all the media, so if i cant figure this out i'll bust out the other drive and search for it on there. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever gotten this kind of weird seemingly non existant location of "trashes: 501" and what it means.
    Thanks!
    austin

Trashes: 501 is a normally invisible folder that might contain your files (or not).
You can make invisible folders and files visible by renaming them to remove the period before the name. That's what flags them as invisible.
But first, you need to be able to see the files. That's where [Xray Vision|http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/systemdiskutilities/xrayvision.html] comes in.
It is quite simple to use, just locate the trashes folder, select it and choose Rename from the Tools menu. Probably best to make it invisible again, once you are done mucking around in that folder.

  • Zen Micro Media Connection Prob

I have a zen micro, I just updated the firmware so nothing is currently on my Zen. I went to import music to my zen with the Zen Micro Media Explorer, and it says my device is not connected. Now, my computer recognizes the device because it shows up as connected under my computer and I can import music that way, but its much easier and faster if I was able to use the Media Explorer and that is not working. Any suggestion? Thanks

Did you also update to a newer version of the Media Explorer?

  • Why didn't RE-Connecting Off-Line Media connect the correct clip?

I opened a FCE project from autosave, after moving most of the media to my external HD, to do some work on it. A LOT of the media went offline but when I went to reconnect, the files were found and I hit OK. When I finished the process, and went to check it, most of the reconnected media wasn't the CORRECT edited clips. They were random clips taken from the original media.
Any guess as to why, or how to solve this?
    Much thanks.

What are the original file names? Did you move them or rename them? Are there other files with the same names somethwre on the drives? Can you use the reconnect function to point them to the correct files.

  • Sudden stop in transfering music onto my 3250

Well i've been transferring my CDs onto my 3250 using the PC suite and USB connector. I named all the tracks saved them to my hard drive, then transferred them to the phone from the Music Studio list. This worked for a few hours but now when i press transfer it seems to be doing it but the track won't appear in the mobile phone play list so is not transferring at all. I definately still have loads of room lft on my 1GB memory card. Very annoying as it was working so well! Anyone any ideas?

    Hi
To use Windows Media PLayer 10 with your 3250, first connect the cable to both your phone and in your PC (included in sales package). Next, in the phone, you will see three options: Media Player, PC Suite and Data Transfer. Choose Media Player.
The PC will then recognize the phone as an MTP device (Windows Media Player's name for a compatible device). It will ask for drivers in the Windows Update Wizard. This time, insert the included CD in the CD-ROM drive of your PC. In the wizard options, choose "install software automatically". In this way the wizard will search the CD-ROM first and install the proper drivers. After that it will say the hardware is installed and ready to use.
To sync your phone, go to WMP10 Sync Tab. It will ask if you want to have automatic or manual syncing. If automatic, you will choose playlists to sync automatically every time you connect the phone. Or if in manual mode, follow these steps:
You'll see your phone in the right-hand window of the player named "Nokia Handset" (maybe different) which is your 3250. Then on the left hand side, choose the tracks you want to transfer. Go to device options (the first button at the top of the right hand window) then enable "create folder hierarchy". This will fix the tracks into folders. After choosing, press "Start Sync" and the tracks will be automatically transfered in your phone.
Pretty long, but it is great for transferring! If you have questions, please do reply...
    cheers.
The world might be a better place if you were I.

  • Itunes media on a shared drive causes freeze

I use a LaCie 3TB drive to hold my media connected by Firewire to my Mac Mini.  I use home sharing to share the media and it works fine but every 12 hours or so Itunes will freeze on my mac mini.  I have to force quit Itunes, but even then, I cannot restart the mac (it hangs on the shutdown screen).  I have to do a hard reboot. I do not have to reboot the storage although I have tried it and it does not help.
I have the same symptoms when I try to backup my iMac to the MacMini's 3TB Seagate USB drive so I do not believe it is related to the LaCie drive.  In both cases, when TimeMachine or Itunes hangs, when I click on the external drive in the finder, the finder hangs.
The disk utility reports no issues for any of the drives (mac mini system, 3TB Firewire, 3 TB USB).
I have disabled time machine and it has not helped.
    Any ideas greatly appreciated

I have put the library on an external drive connected by usb to my wireless router.
what exactly have you put on the external ? the entire iTunes folder or just the iTunes music (or media) folder ?
On my iMac I can select the itunes folder on the drive in itunes advanced preferences and my music shows up in the itunes window an I can play it. But on my MacbookPro although I can select the folder, nothing shows up in the itunes window.
this leads me to believe that you consolidated the iMac's library to the external but kept the library files local. pointing iTunes media folder location to a new spot tells iTunes where to put new additions to your library, but not where the current content is.
what you need to do is to copy the entire iTunes folder to the external, then (on each Mac) launch iTunes while holding the option(⌥) key, click on choose library when prompted, and select the iTunes folder you copied to the external.
note only one Mac at a time can access the library !

  • Xbox 360 and 360 connect using mini.. please help

My setup is I have my internet running through a Dlink di-524 router which is wired to my Macmini. I have xbox 360 in the other room connected via cable to a gigafast wireless router. Im basically using this gigafast router as an alternative to the expensive MS adapter. I can connect to xbox live no problems using this setup. Im using dynamic ips and I dont have MAC filtering on. Im running no security no WEP, nothing. Media sharing works once I connect a cable from my router to the xbox360 using connect 360. I have been on the phone with dlink now for about 3 hours with no help. It seems everyone blames the other company.
I have ran winxp with windows media player 11 via bootcamp and that wont work either.
does anyone have any insight to what might be going on? The dlink guy was saying its a hardware and the mac isnt letting file sharing work on wireless but is when its wired and I have to call apple... anyone heard this BS before?

My question is why will my xbox share media connected with a cable but not wireless....

  • Why can't I append-to-disc on DVD+R media, 2009 Mini w/10.6.3?

I want to be able to burn multiple sessions to DVD+R media on my late-2009 Mac Mini w/ Superdrive.
PLEASE do not direct me to the usual instructions on burning multi-session CD-R media. I know all about them; they work fine for CDs, but not for DVD+R (so far.)
When I follow the usual make-a-disk-image-from-folder-then-burn procedure, "leave disc appendable" is greyed out in the pre-burn confirmation dialog box.
Yet, when I display the disc information, it says the currently-inserted media is shown as APPENDABLE (see below.) I'm using Verbatim-brand DVD+R 4.7GB single-layer discs. What's going on? Why won't disk utility allow me to leave the media appendable for later sessions?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
I will say that I do not have a lot of experience with burning discs. I have burned maybe a couple of dozen since burners became available in Macs.
I know that the System Profile shows that your optical drive can handle a selection of DVD disc types, but I had heard that the best disc types are those that match the drive's type, and are usually listed first. You have a DVD-RW drive, but you are trying to use DVD+R discs.
    I have a friend who swears by this software for burning DVDs;
