32HL933 - no sound in PC mode using VGA cable

I have a problem with connecting a computer to TV (32HL933).
I plug the VGA cable view is fine, but I can not connect the sound...
Where TV takes an audio signal in PC mode?? (in this TV model)

I know that.
I connect the headphone port to audio in port of the TV and play music but still nothing.
http://pl.consumer.toshiba.eu/pl/products/tv/32HL933#productDetailDownloads
in this photo you can see the TV connector.
from the top:
HDMI, VGA, digital audio(out), SCART,... From the left: 3 component(in), 2 audio(in).
I connect to 2 audio. Then i can hear the music in 2 and 3 mode. 1 mode this is SCART(no music).
When i switch to PC mode I do not hear music.

  • How do I get 5.1 sound on 360 using VGA cable?

    Hey guys..
I've recently bought a Samsung SM206BW PC monitor, I'm connecting my PC to monitor via DVI, and using the VGA for 360.
The VGA cable I've bought (the official 360 one) has a red white audio lead, and my speaker set for computer is a Creative T6060 5.1 set..
I wanted to use the VGA cable and get sound from all of the speakers (5 + ) when using the 360 and needed some help doing this..
What extra cable/adapter would I have to purchase to get this to work.. and where would I connect it?
    Thankyou!

  • Streaming to TV using VGA cable questions!

I've been streaming my mid 2009 Macbook pro to my LCD TV for years now.  For some reason in around Feb. 2012 it just stopped working.  I'm using a VGA cable with a seperate audio cable. Anyone else have this happen?  For some reason I think it stopped working after a software update around the time that the troubles started.  Anyone have any idea?  Trouble shooting suggestions?  Anything helps, thanks.

Only HDMI will carry the Aduio and Video together, if you use VGA, a audio cable is still required in the headphone jack to carry the sound to the TV.

  • No sound on TV when using HDMI cable from MAC

    Hi
Anyone any ideas why I cant get any sound on the TV when I plug the HDMI cable in - It only comes thru on my MBP.
Also, I have to scroll the mouse off screen and grag any windows off screen in order for them to display on the TV .... It must be smething to do with resolution or something...But I cant work it out
    Any help gratfully received
    Thanks
    Emma

To get sound you will have to tap into the audio output port.  This will require a 'Y' connector with a compatible plug that fits the port and splitting into the two audio channels with RCA connectors.  The image shows a possible type you can use, but you would still need two male/male RCA connector extensions to your TV.  A little search on the Internet should enable you to identify the most practical way of connecting audio.
The ideal set up is to use the extension shown with a Y connector with male out put connectors.
    Ciao.

  • Does iBook recognize external TV resolution using VGA cable?

I'm planning to connect my iBookG4 (firmware already hacked allowing the usage of extended screens) to a big widescreen LCD TV. The TV supplys both HDMI and VGA connectors, but I know I won't be able to use HDMI, since the iBook has VGA output only.
My question: which available resolutions will I have chance to choose from? That is, will my iBook be able to somehow recognize correctly the physical pixel resolution (1366x768) of the external TV even via VGA connection?!?
    iBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.7) 933Mhz, 640Mb, 40Gb, bluetooth

as far as I know, all MacMinis have DVI output, so you shouldn't need any firmware hack on a mini, I think...?!
However, I understood we could use with iBook a shareware utility (SwitchRes X: http://www.madrau.com/) that allows "tuning" VGA output resolutions (adds a lot more) and related pixel bandwidths. That should solve our problem, but I didn't have chance to try already...

  • No sound on my tv using hdmi cable

connected my macbook to my HD LCD TV and mirrored the screen but not getting any sound out of the tv.  The tv is not showing up as an output in the sound settings. How do i get sound to come from the TV?

    from bango thats interesting...
The Apple HDMI adapter(actually 3rd party) is for HDMI rev. 1.3 only and earlier made flatscreens are rev1.1or so. I purchased a 42" flatscreen and my highest resolution is by a DVI(Digital Video Interface) which requires separate audio, have the Apple DVI adapter also so when I go to a friend's pad or a presentation to make, I'm all set.
    Let 'er rip and
    cheers...

My iPad 4 does not show up on my TV screen when in AirPlay mirroring mode using WiFi.  The iPad displays AirPlay set to TV with the Mirroring On (green).
My iPad IOS software is 8.2 and my Apple TV software is at 7.1.  The TV displays the Apple Menu.  The “Settings” does however displays the General menu allowing me to see:
    Apple software:          7.1 (7003)
Apple TV:                   Model No. A1464, Part No. MD199B/A
    Signal Strength shows 5 circles.
It does not display the iPad screen but when I use the BT Sport App I can hear the sound but there is no video.  I have searched the internet for a solution to no avail. The problem first arose when the IOS was at 8.1+ but it worked correctly briefly when I updated to IOS 8.2.  Can you help please?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    Restart your mobile device.

To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
and select the Library that you moved.  That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.
Your first option didn't work because you imported one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
Your second option didn't work because you simply referenced her library on the old machine.

  • MacBookPro 13' connected to TV using VGA

    Hey.
I have a MacBookPro 13 and a "old" Finlux 28' screen and I want to connect them together so that I can watch movies on the tv instead of the small 13'.
From before I had a VGA to mini-displayport witch I never use. Now I tought that I should use it so I bought a Scart-VGA cable and tried to connect them.
Well, I connected them and changed the channel on the TV to "AV" but it just was a black screen.
I'm a really huge Newbie on mac and mac related problems so I hope that any one of you out there can help me.
Is there someone out there with suggestions on what to do or a solution? Please Help me.
    Tore

This definitely works (Audio over HDMI) as I had the opposite issue - I wanted video over HDMI, but my sounds out of the headphone jack so I could plug into my amp.
When you are connected over HDMI, click the speaker icon in the tray and you will be able to choose where the audio goes over

  • How can I get audio to play from my TV when using hdmi cable?  Video looks great, just no sound.

How can I get audio to play from my TV when using hdmi cable?  Video looks great, just no sound.
I've tried plugging the hdmi into the TV directly and the receiver.
I get video every time.  HBO to Go , Xfinity, ABC, Youtube, etc...
    just no audio.  Any suggestions?
I've tried starting the apps then plugging in the hdmi cable.
I never tried this before I upgraded to IOS 5.

    Claudiamil-
I had not tried it with mine since upgrading to iOS 5, so I just did.  I'm using a small Vizio HDTV.  I did not try YouTube, but did try several videos and musical numbers.  In all cases there was sound, including stereo when the source had it.
I assume you are getting sound from the iPad when the adapter is not connected, so the volume is not turned down.  Dah*veed's suggestion to reset may be what you need.
