330 Car Navigation & GNS FM9 TMC adapter subscript...

"Traffic information
The Nokia 330 Auto Navigation supports an external TMC (Traffic Message Channel) module to receive latest information on traffic jams on the road. As special TMC module is available and can be purchased with a discount from www.gns-gmbh.com/nokia/.";
So far the official webpage of europe.nokia.com.
When entering the gns-gmbh page there is an offer for Europe to buy that adapter for 24,90€.
But you need special voucher code from your seller, regular price of adapter is around 50€. This voucher my seller missed to hand over not only to me,also to a lot of other customer.
No problem I thought, give GNS a call. To get this special code for purchasing the adapter, GNS gave information to call the german hotline or go to the seller.
It was easier for me to contact the hotline, but even they have been very honest, they have not been aware about the special offer made officially by Nokia !!!
One of the hotlines arguments was that it would depend on the seller to get this voucher code !! How that can be ?
You're selling an TMC-adaptable unit w/o possibility to get the needed adapter ? They even did not announce this adapter as an official accessory ? Why the hell not ?
But they promised me to address this issue to management. Let's wait

  • Nokia 330 Auto Navigation

Has nobody out there got a 330 Auto Navigation system?
I lost the car lighter end of my in-car charger over six months ago. Despite many emails to the Nokia help centre and to Nokia shops, nobody could help me. Not even supply me with a new one!!
Now I am informed that Nokia do not supply this charger any more. It is a DC3 12/24V input, 6V 2A output.
    No help from Nokia then!!
Can anyone help me. Even a mains charger would help. If my sat nav has not been charged for some months will it lose it's data?
    Cheers

the closest match to the dc-3 is the dc-4 - not sure if it would be compatible though - mebbe get nokia to try testing and confirm this?

  • Nokia 5800 Car Navigation

I have a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with Ovi maps installed in it. It used to work well with street by street voice navigation until recently I checked for an update and downloaded the latest one. Now that I'm trying to use car navigation again it says, "Car navigation cannot start at this location." I tried deleting Cities folder in E: memory card and reinstalled maps and voice guidance but it is still the same. What should I do?

I got the same problem Here. I am from Poland.
Two days ago I became an owner of Nokia 500 and I started playing with it. So I updated Nokia Suite to latest version (via updates), updated firmware to latest and installed latest maps.
Then, when I wanted to start navigating, the app says "you cannot start navigation from this location" (or sth similiar).
I tried deleting cities and qf - no success. I use integrated gps-positioning only.
Now, the funny thing - I also have Nokia 5230. It's with latest updates (also considering maps). Navigation in it worked like charm, but I thought that the maps I downloaded for 500 were messed up, so I uninstalled maps from 5230, cleared cities and qf and installed maps again. AND NOW I HAVE NO WORKING NAVIGATION in any phone
Except the "navigation cannot start..." there's also problem that I can set the route from point a to point b on the map anymore.
Tomorrow I will really, really need that Nav.
    Please help.

  • IPod integration with car navigation systems?

I recently bought a Honda CR-V with a touch screen navigation system (with XM radio). Honda offers a iPod "music link" install, but supposedly it only allows shuffle song play or shuffle album play.
It would seem a no brainer that they could write an iTunes interface-type program so you could use menus on the touch screen navigation system to control your iPod.
Has anyone heard of this for any car navigation system? It would seem highly apealing to have this option, and it doesn't seem like there are many technological hurdles - it's just a "front row" application for your car's navigation screen (easily said than done, but doesn't seem too tough).

Does your kit connect via the dock port? If so, it should work, I don't think the dock ports were changed.

    XP-TMC Adapter Socket

    Hello,
I have the same set up as you. This is what my setup post stable as: 172x13=2238mhz=3200+ "DO NOT" use Core Center to overclock. You can use it as a monitor, but it reports the wrong CPU/SYS temps anyways. There are several other programs that work great for information purposes.Speed Fan and CPUZ are the 2 I use. http://cpuid.org/ for CPUZ and http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php for Speed Fan.Always do all your Overclocks in BIOS only.Make sure to do the following in BIOS,Disable spread spectrum and turn off dynamic overclocking.Change your FSB to 172x13 multi. You can use CPUZ to monitor the clocks. Also on the ram stay at or below fast.CPUZ will tell you your ram timings also.I use speed fan to monitor my temps as like I said the CC is 4deg too low.
FWIW,I managed as high as 185 FSB  but very unstable all the way back down to 175.172 is my stable/gaming heavy CPU load limit for my setup.Yours mary vary higher/lower but should be able to go above 167

  • XP-TMC Adapter Socket

I was just wondering if anyone has tried this adapter for unlocking the multiplier. I have the KT6V-LSR motherboard with a AthlonXP Barton Core 3000+ 333MHz. 1024mb of 333 memory. I want to over clock this and have tried with the Core Center. The core center only on auto got to 167fsb. I want it to run at its full potential but not be unstable either. What would be the best way to do this?    By the way this is a great forum!

  • Connecting your IPOD to your Car using a Pioneer Radio Adapter

Is there any easier way you can watch your videos on your IPOD using your Radio (Pioneer) Adapter. I had it working 3 times but the problems seems to be after I shut my car off, the adapter or the IPOD will not allow me to go back into the menu. I know I would press the Menu button continuously and the IPOD will take me straight into the menu. This is a cool feature to have because then your Ipod works like a Mini TV output for your car. Anyone has any suggestions!!!?????? Please hit me back up with a response.

I don't think it's really an "issue." Your iPod is fairly old if it does not have a color screen (probably the 4th gen model).
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1353
Recent iPods have much better processors and can interact in more ways with the devices they are connected to through the dock connector, like your car's system. It's like a computer... an old computer cannot do many things a newer one can do, no matter what software is installed because there are hardware technology limitations.
Now, if that other iPod you tried was the same model you have (or earlier), and it worked, please post back.
Otherwise, you should refer to the documentation that came with the system, or online info that may be available from the car maker's web site, to read the system requirements for the iPod. If your iPod meets the requirements, please post back.

  • Exporting MP3's for use in car Navigation Systems

I am trying to load, SD memory cards (2g) for my Audi's navigation system, I have followed some disucssions on here—about using iTunesMyWalkman, to convert files. I have loaded a SD card, and played it in my car, well my question, is there anyway to see all the artists that are in this playlist? I lets me play through selections—or skip through, to get to next artist or albums. Is there a way to see all the artists that are in playlist, then be able to scroll down and play that artist?
    John

Car audio players are not standardized, especially where you are asking how to use this specific feature which is probably unique to your player.  You should look in  the owner's manual and see how they say to do it.  If there's something you don't understand you can post the information here and we can help interpret.
One thing for sure, you don't need any third party software to convert to mp3 for your car.

  • 330 Auto Navigation

    Hi all,
I have just purchased this product and am already completely stuck. I'm trying to install the Route 66 cd which came with it into my computer but can get no further when it says I must insert the sd card. I know nothing about such things, but would be very grateful if someone could tell me what to do next!
I've put the card into the 330 device and connected it via the USB cable provided into the computer. Nothing happened. I tried switching the 330 on, and it came on, but this made no difference to the problem with installing the cd, it still asks me to insert the sd card. Should I be putting the sd card directly into the computer? If so, I can't find a slot which takes it!
Also, if I can get past this basic problem, how do I go about transferring photos and music on to the 330 from my computer? The instructions are very brief and really only cover what to do once the files are on the 330. Is the compatible memory card writer to which it refers, the 330 itself? Or do I need some other piece of equipment?
Please help, I am completely clueless with this stuff!
Thanks so much for any replies.

Hi, I have the same problem but it's now worse!
I tried putting the card in the sat nav and it worked but could not get a gps signal. I left it for a while and it still didn't get a gps signal so I put the disk into my pc and plugged the sat nav into it via the cable provided. It said it had to format the card first which it did but then it wouldn't put anything on saying that I should check the card wasn't right protected (this is the card that came with the sat nav by the way).
When I go into the sat nav menu now, it lets me go to video, mp3, photo, etc but when I click Navigation, it makes a noise but stays on the menu screen. What have I done and how do I fix it please? I couldn't see anything in the manual about what to do with the cd etc so I used my initiative and it looks like that was a bad idea!
    Cheers, Garf

  • Compatibility with Car Kit (CD-IB100 II Adapter- Pioneer)

Hi, ive recently purchased a new ipod nano but ive been disappointed to find that it is not compatible with my car kit adapter, however the car kit is compatible with previous versions of the ipod.
Can anyone advise if there is a possiblity of a compatibility connector that can be purchased to resolve these issues?
    Regards
    http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products/25/38/301/CD-IB100%20II/specs.html

I use the same adapter, had the same issue with my iPhone.
The adapter is using the old way of charging which is the Firewire pins but all iPods from about 2007 all charge with the USB pins only.
I did a search on the web and found a little converter you plug between the iPod and the cable which enables charging. There are different versions if you search, some also remove the not compatible message from the screen.

  • GPS in-Car Navigation

    Hi
Does anyone know of an in-Car GPS system that is compatible with a MacBook Pro Version 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. (IE: Navman is not compatible). Thanks in advance Don.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
IF you have Boot Camp and Windows already installed, Delorme (www.delorme.com) has Street Atlas 2011.
They sell a version with a USB GPS sensor (LT-40), and one with a Bluetooth (BT-20) GPS sensor. I've used the USB sensor with Street Atlas 2009 and 2010, and it works well. (I've also used them successfully under Parallels 4, 5, and 6, but you still need Windows.)

  • XPlod car adapter no longer works after installing OS 4.0

I have a Sony car stereo with the Xplod adapter that allows me to hook up my iPod to my stereo and control it from there. After the recent update to OS 4.0 this no longer works.
Now when I plug it in; the iPod stops playing sound through it's speaker, but I get no control through the Stereo and nothing plays. It just seems to freeze.
This has worked perfectly for 2years, and now it's dead. Anyone have any suggestions or fixes?

I had this same issue after upgrading to iOS 4.0. I could play my iPod touch to the xPLOD through the USB cable but could not control it with the xPLOD, and there were a few other issues too.
I tried the recommendation to power off the iPod Touch, then connect it to the xPLOD.
I pressed the top and home buttons until "slide to power off" appeared, which I did.
I connected the iPod Touch to the xPLOD and set the xPLOD source to USB.
The iPod started to wake up. The xPLOD timed out with a "No device found" message while the iPod was waking up.
When the iPod woke up, the xPLOD detected it and displayed "Reading device", then, everything worked fine.
    YMMV...
