3502p AccessPoint support MESH and Point-to-Point Wireless Bridging with Outdoor Antennas??

I need to know if 3502p with outdoor antennas supports Point-to-Point Wireless Bridging??

The 3502p is only used for arenas and or stadiums. These are different units than the 3500's and 3600's. So no they can't be.
You can use Cisco Aironet 1400 Series Wireless Bridge for a wireless link between two buildings (1km) to extend your LAN. For more detail you can go through the below link.

  • Troubleshooting Point to Multipoint Wireless Bridge

I have a customer which is a  Small RV Park that has Four 1242 Dual Band Access Points with external outdoor antennae.   All 4 APs are configured with a client SSID on the 802.11G radio, and an Infrastructure SSID on the 802.11A radio interface.   The A band is being used for wireless backhaul from the 3 remote APs to a central AP configured as a Root Bridge.   The 3 remote APs are non-root bridges on the A Radio interface.
There are separate antenna on each AP for the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz bands.  Directional patch antennae are on the remote APs on the A band pointing to an 5ghz Omni on the Root Bridge.  On the 2.4ghz band that the client PCs use, their are either Omni or 180 degree patch antenna on those interfaces.
The issue I am having is keeping all three 802.11A back haul links up at the same time for an extended period.   I moved some of the 1242 APs in the park to get better client coverage, and all three remote radios worked with the backhaul link working at 54mbps.  Then I started having issues with one radio dropping its backhaul link, while the other two remotes worked perfectly.  Then a second AP backhaul link failed.   I was then able to reconnect the radio I was initially having issues with changing the root bridge channel selection from manual to DFS.
The Second remote AP still has not reconnected, but remote APs 1 an 3 are still up.  I have checked the antenna alignment visually, and checked the connectors.   Even swapped out a spare AP.  All 1242s are running the last software version put out for that model.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?  When I do a shut/no shut on the dot11radio1 interface, I get a console message that it finds no radio to associate.  The Infrastructure SSID has no security on it and open authentication.  This is just for free internet access to anyone in the RV Park.

For the point to multipoint configuration follow the steps as per URL which may help you :

  • Wireless bridging is not working in 1552 outdoor access point and 2602e indoor access point.

    Hi,
I am have been tested  wireless bridging with 2 indoor Cisco 2602 access point by following the attached document and its working fine without any issue.
After then I made one Cisco 1552 EU-M-K9 outdoor access point as RAP, then connect to this RAP with one 2602 mesh access point. But its not working, mesh access point is just start scan the signal to get associate with RAP, but not getting established. Is there any specific configuration required to connect between outdoor and indoor access point. Kindly find the attachment and advise.

  • Autonomous Wireless Point-to-Point bridge

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I am having difficulty finding documenation on hwo to properly configure Cisco 1552e AP's in Autonomous Mode as Point to Point wireless bridges with just utilizing the wireless link as a backhaul, not client access. We have to go with autonomous because we plan on having Local Mode ap's (CAPWAP) terminated behind the MAP ethernet bridged port. Here is our topology:
Local Network (Controller resides on this network)   ---------> L2 Switch ----------> RAP --------> wireless bridge <---------- MAP <----------> L2 Switch ----> Clients\CAPWAP AP's (servicing clients)
We want to pass all the VLANs we will need for both the wired network and CAPWAP network.
    Thoughts?

rasikanayanajith wrote:Here is another example of point to point bridge configuration (with EAP-FAST) using Autonomous Access point, it may help you as wellhttp://mrncciew.com/2013/11/09/wireless-bridge-with-eap-fast/HTHRasika*** Pls rate all useful responses ***
This is extremely useful and the exact configuration we are looking to do.
Is there a limit on the number of Bridge-Groups that can be used (essentially number of VLANs)?
Also are you familiar with running Mesh AP's in autonomous mode? Do we lose any features other than management by moving them from CAPWAP to Autonomous?
We have to run these in autonomous because our MAP end will run 3602i local mode APs, so lame that Cisco wont support Capwap over CAPWAP based mesh bridge.

  • WLC and Point-to-Point Bridge/Repeater

    Hi all,
I have a WLC2125 and 11 LAPs installed in our warehouse. There is going to be one additional AP but the problem is we can´t provide cabling in that area. The idea is to have this additional AP connected to one of the existing LAPs and repeat the signal of it or to create point-to-point link, the question is, would LAPs and WLC support such configuration, is it possible at all? If so, please let me know the config process or some documentation.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
We are getting errors under the Site Status for the Distribution Point and Reporting services point. Was running fine and have not really made any changes but all of a sudden we have these critical errors.
The report server service is not running on Reporting Service Point server "XXXXXXXXXXX"; start the service to enable reporting.
We have stopped and restarted the SQL 2012 reporting service point with no errors. What else should we look at for this error? And are these related?

  • Point to point wireless using 1310 and 1231 on each site

    Hi,
I have an implementation right now with wireless point to point bridging connection. I installed a 1310 with 24 dBi external antenna on one site and a 1231 AP/bridge with 24 dBi antenna on the other site. Has anyone of you tried this set-up. I have no problem with the connection and pinging is ok. However when I tested the throughput I only got 2Mbps in which the distance between the two sites is only 2 kms. I am hoping to have a throughput about 20 Mbps and up.

When you configure the AP radio, you must consider the type of clients that are present in the wireless network. If the AP has an 802.11g radio and the WLAN has only 802.11g clients, you can set one or more data rates to Basic and all other data rates to Enabled However, if you have a mixed environment of both 802.11b and 802.11g clients in a WLAN network, you must ensure that only the rates that 802.11b supports are set to Basic (or Require in GUI). If data rates that the 802.11b radio does not support (such as 12 Mbps) are set to Basic on the AP radio, the 802.11b clients are not able to associate to the AP.
Alternatively, you can configure the AP radio to select data rates on the basis of range or throughput. When you configure the AP radio to select data rates for range, the AP sets the lowest data rate to Basic and the other rates to Enabled. In this way, the AP can cover a wider area. However, the data rate comes down as the distance from the AP to the client increases. If you configure the AP radio for throughput, the AP sets all data rates to Basic. This configuration ensures a consistent throughput throughout the coverage area.

  • Which cisco wireless bridges support point to multipoint

hi all i am really new to wireless. i am looking for information as which cisco wireless bridges support point to multipoint configuration.
    i have a cisco 1230G access-point will it support the same .
    any help would be great.
    regards
    sushil

    The Cisco 1300's and 1400's support point-to-point and point-to-multipoint. The 1230G can only support point-to-point (i think)

  • Automatically set the Black and the White points in Aperture?

Jasoninajeep, in this thread, refers to this Aperture Export article, which includes the helpful hint that holding "{Option}" while clicking the auto-luminance button in the Curves brick will cause Aperture to set the Black and the White points without making any other changes.
Is there any other way to automatically set the Black and the White points in Aperture?
    Thanks.

    Hi BBurgess!
Unfortunately, it sounds like you may have a service issue on your hands.  While our QuickStart guide provides details on installing the cartridges in their respective slots, putting those catridges in the wrong position may cause an internal issue with the Canon PiXMA MG3222.

  • PoE for Cisco 1242AG and 1310G Access Points

    Dear All,
we purchased a Cisco 1242AG and a 1310G Access Point and in the DataSheet it was specified that these APs support Power-over-Ethernet. The problem is we don't see any RJ-45 port in either AP which could be used for connecting the AP to an PoE Switch. Can you please tell us how we can connect these APs to an 802.11af compatible PowerBridge (by Intermec) ? Thanks.

    Hi Thorsten,
    The 1242 should be good to go but the 1310 is powered quite differently. Have a look;

    Power
The access point/bridge receives inline power from the Cisco Aironet Power Injector (hereafter called the power injector). Dual-coax cables are used to provide Ethernet data and power from the power injector to the access point/bridge. The power injector is an external unit designed for operation in a sheltered environment, such as inside a building or vehicle. The power injector also functions as an Ethernet repeater by connecting to a Category 5 LAN backbone and using the dual-coax cable interface to the access point/bridge.
The power injector is available in two models:
Cisco Aironet Power Injector LR2 standard version (included with the access point/bridge)
    48-VDC input power
Uses the 48-VDC power module (included with the access point/bridge)
Cisco Aironet Power Injector LR2T optional transportation version
    12- to 40-VDC input power
Note The power injector and the power module must not be placed in an outdoor unprotected environment. The power module must not be placed in a building's environmental air space, such as above a suspended ceiling.
