360 Panorama in CS4

In the Adobe comparison chart for Photoshop CS4 and CS4 extended, http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/compare/, it says that both will create a 360 panorama.
However, in CS4 the best that I can get it to do is create a panorama that covers more than the required area and to then do as best I can to crop the result so that the beginning and end match.  Is there some automated feature that I am missing that does this?

Thanks everyone who answered my question.  I can produce fairly decent 360 panoramas with Photoshop CS4 using the photomerge with either the cylindrical or spherical projections.  It seems sometimes one works better than the other.  Then about half the time I can crop the resulting image so that when pieced together in my panoramic viewer the join seam is not noticeable.
I have Adobe CS4 Design Standard, and I see no easy way to get PhotoshopCS4 extended other than to wait for the new version of the Creative Suite and see what option there is to move from Design Standard to Design Premium.

  • How can I upload a 360° Panorama Review on my Adobe Muse Website?

    Hey guys
    I need your help, because nobody knows, how I can upload a 360° Panorama Review on my Website. First I loaded the whole file folder (picture 1) with all the data files (images, index, tiles and so on) in the document root on the server (pic 2 + 3).
    After that I went back to my website and clicked on data - place and placed only the SWF file on my homepage and then I upload it as FTP Host to the server. And now it looks so: www.gardendreams.com
    But it should look like this: Gartenpflege & Gartengestaltung Limmattal Zürich | Natursteinarbeiten, Wasseranlagen, Garten Neugestaltung, Pflanzberatu…
    What did I do wrong? Thank you very much for your help.
    P.s. I work with Windows 7 Professional 64bit

  • 360 panorama not shown in preview on iPad with Adobe Content Viewer

    Hello Forum -
    I have a weired problem with the 360 panorama…
    When I create the panorama using the overlay creator everything works perfect and the desktop preview is showing the panorama very fine.
    On the ipad (after login with my adobe ID and downloading the Magazin) I get only a white page after tapping the defined Preview image.
    I tried:
    _deleted all images from the original folder
    _renamed the files
    _created the Overlay again
    _reloaded the images into the InDesign Document
    _published again to the Adobe server
    _deleted the "Content Viewer" from iPad
    _installed new "Content Viewer"
    Still an my DesktopViewer everything is fine, but the 360 wont work
    btw. all other elements like slideshows, videos, scrollable text etc. is working
    Any Ideas or Solutions?
    Best regards, gutsche

    Try opening the six images in Photoshop and using Save for Web & Devices to save the files. Try creating smaller files.
    The current files you're using might be too much for the iPad to handle.

  • Regarding publishing a VR 360 panorama

    Hello Forum -
    I have some succes with a couple of 360x180 aka " cube faces " panoramic images published for Ipad using Digital Publishing Suite.
    I wonder if so called "autorotation " is possible using panorama tool within DPSuite -
    what I see right now is image looks static after opening in FullScreen - In some other panorama publishing tools ( like krPano or similar )
    you can make the image move directly after opening or after a couple of seconds.
    Any suggestions for a similar solution  using Suite ?
    Regards from Stockholm .

    I logged a request in the pre-release as a feature request.
    Another solution you may look into is http://gardengnomesoftware.com/index.php
    they have an HTML 5 option--- a quicktime option and a flash option.. i haven't played too much with the HTML 5 options but i know the other two have Autorotation.
    We design a lot of 3d worlds that have used the Adobe DPS Panorama feature thus far and we like it..
    As a user experience designer i can recommend you put an alternative image as the "first view" to let people know its interactive.
    Best regards

  • 360 panoramas in ibook authoring.  Is there any widget already available?

    I would like to publish a ibook with immersive panoramas.  I know how to display them on the web with HTML5 but I have no idea how to do it in iBook author.  Ihave done a search on the web but cannot find much.  Does anyone have any suggestions on this topic?

    This will allow you to create panorama and output to html5. You can then package as a widget and use in iBooks.

  • 360 to Cubic Panorama converters for PC

    I want to experiment with HDR panoramas in After Effects. I know I can take 360 panoramas and use the CC Sphere effect with some expressions to get a skydome linked to a 3D camera in a scene, however it only works in 8 bit so I lose any chance of working with exposure in HDR files. There is Trapcode's Horizon which does work with HDR but I wasn't so comfortable with it.
    There's a great set of tutorials by Carl Larsen on Creative Cow (called Building a Cube World) about using cubic panoramas in After Effects, which would allow me to work natively with HDR images and panoramas without any tools other than the standard ones that come with After Effects. However the usual methods for making panoramas are about creating 360 ones.
    Has anyone come across any free plug-ins for Photoshop or PC based tools for converting 360 panoramas to cubic ones?
    So far I've looked at Hugin, PTgui, the Panoguide website and Christian Bloch's site on HDR ( www.hdrlabs.com ) but not found what I'm after.

    Many thanks for that - looks interesting, although it is £300 GBP which puts it outside my budget.
    I'd still like to find something that converts 360 to cubic panoramas on a PC that I could afford to incorporate into my workflow.
    I've only got the trial version of Horizon which I think is fully functional. There's nothing wrong with it but I just found myself uncomfortable using it. It might be that I'll end up going back to it as it is relatively cheap at £50 odd (GBP)! That said I felt uncomfortable with After Effects when I first started using it too, but now I love it! ;-)

  • Flash Panorama 360º inside iWeb

    Hi there! New to the forum.
    I create interactive 360º panoramas that are flash files(.swf). You may see examples at my site here: www.photobubbles.com
    I would like to embed them(one to start) into an iWeb page and I have found the following code posted on a site for flash:
    <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000"
    codebase="http://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#versi on=8,0,0,0"
    width="550" height="400" align="middle">
    <param name="movie" value="iDisk/Web/Sites/flash/preview.swf">
    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always">
    <embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer" width="550" height="400" align="middle"
    src="iDisk/Web/Sites/flash/preview.swf" allowScriptAccess="always">
    </embed>
    </object>
    I am storing the .swf file on idisk and believe I have the proper pathways to find it.
    A panel of the appropriate size shows up,on my iWeb page, but when I right click on that panel is says "movie no loaded", which I clearly can see that it has not.
    I just wanted to get a conversation happening......where may I be pointed to find answers for this?
    Cheers,
    Jay

    Hello!
    @ Wyodor "And don't use idisk.me.com as link but web.me.com"
    Confirmed.Thats not it.
    @ Wyodor "Always design your pages from the browser (= your visitor's) perspective."
    I hear you, although not my direct issue. My main goal is to get the "links" to work in iWeb with a few .swf files. When on iDisk the "hotspots" in the panorama all work, and find each other. When uploaded into an iWeb page the links are broken.
    @ Wyodor"Recommended reading : Using the iWeb HTML Snippet
    Adobe has a Flash forum :
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/flash
    And don't mention iWeb there. It will confuse a lot of people."
    Good suggestion, I will wade my way through more resources.
    Here is an example of the "Hotspots", linking to each other, in a panorama, not in an iWeb page. You can click an icon in the panorama and go to that next location. http://photobubbles.com/bubble/186

  • 360 Degree Animation Effect in flash

    Hi everyone,
    I have to create a 360 degree animation effect on 2d image in flash. Basicaly its a product image and has to be animated in 360 degree. Presently I am working on Flash CS4 and it has 3d tool, but i was unable to make it. Now the thing is coming in my mind that, Is this the right software to create such effect, i m worried . Pls help me out from this problem.

    Hello
    I just watched the youtube 360 degree animation in flash and it is very nice. However i do have a question, While this make the animation, it only does the switching between a picture and another picture. There is no transition between them or any blend.
    Is there a way to have a blend added to this so that the picture more look like a real 360 panoramic view ?
    I love the idea of the mouse controling the view and i know i can place the picture back to back and build them so it is one huuuuuge picture, however in that case it will be nearly impossible to put them all in 1 frame..
    I can easely create the 360 panoramique picture in photoshop, but then it is in flash thati have the probleme. I want to apply the mouse control idea. but because the result will be a lot larger than the stage, i don't know how to deal with that...
    Erm.. i'm not sure i am clear :S
    Any clue?

  • Multi-Row panorama with Photomerge ...

    Hi,
    does somebody has experiences with stitching multi-row panoramas with CS4's photomerge?
    I always ended up with a very strange viewpoint somewhere into the sky instead of a straight horizont. It's somehow understandable - where should Photomerge know the horizont and the desired viewpoint from.
    So, are there any tutorials or hints how to create multi row panoramas with Photomerge - I searched a lot but didn't find any usable. Or do I have to use another tool like PTGui?
    Thanks a lot
    Konrad

    Yes, the first row are image in the orthognal plane around the vertical axis. Stitching them together result in a normal horizontal 360 pano.
    But I've a second row above the first one from the upper parts of the sourrounding. And using Photomerge they are not merged together in a way that places the first row in front of the horizont is still the same as for the first row - what's clear, because PS does known nothing about those semantics.

  • How to create a Virtual Tour from a panorama

    Hey All,
    I'm trying to create a Virtual Tour from an already stitched 360 Panoramic interior photo (taken with a fish eye lens).
    Are there any programs throughout the Adobe Suite/Cloud  that will allow me to generate a virtual tour from this image, either automatically or manually?
    Or is it best to look into other software(s)?

    There are web services like Panoramio for that. I'm sure you could find some Flash plug-ins as well or some canned JavaScript stuff.

  • Use a panoramic photo flash file in indesign and export it to a swf file for flipbook

    hi,
    i haven a 360° panoramic flash file.
    when i put this file in indesign and make an export to pdf i can see my panoramic photo.
    my problem:
    i want to export this file to swf to use it as a flipbook.
    but now, my panoramic flash file doesn`t work.
    is this possible?
    thanks
    sascha

    Hi, I have the same issue??
    Even when exporting as an interactive pdf.
    My problem is that I am trying to figure out how to export my swf embedded file into an interactive pdf.
    I have created an interactive presentation with buttons, effects etc. After which I exported to swf so that all the effects work.
    But when placing the swf file back into indesign and exporting again as an interactive pdf it doesn't work at all, all I get is a white screen. (I need a pdf for clients basically, they dont want any swf or flash files.)
    Even though after placing the swf file, in the media window I ticked play on page load as well as chose a cover image for the swf file. Still just a white screen when exporting.
    To repeat, I need to know how to convert my swf file into an interactive pdf.
    Any pointers please would be great I have some swf presentations I need to change into pdf as soon as possible or before tomorrow to be exact before our monthly meeting with clients.
    Please help

  • PS CS4 - photomerge

    I tried 4 times consequently to stitch 4 images in Photomerge activated from Bridge - with same settings (auto and defaults i.e. blending images on, vignette removal off, distortion correction off). I was surprised of the result because each time I tried PS generated different panorama. Just to make sure I thoroughly checked if the stitch settings were really the same - they were... Am I missing something essential?

    PhotoMerge appears to have been broken in the move to CS4.
    Whilst I am glad that PhotoMerge in CS4 is working for SOME, on my two main, quite different, XPP/3 systems (one with supported 3D card, one without) I have been unable to get CS4 to create ANY panoramas.
    In CS4, as shipped in the 'Master Collection', attempting to merge only two images that, on the same systems [right now, TODAY!] are merged by CS3 (and ptGUI, and APP) results only in a series of processing msgs during which a file named something like "unnamed_panorama1" appears as a tab. When processing stops, that tab vanishes. Sadly, no trace of this file is seen in the recent file list, nor anywhere on the hard-drive.
    Yes, Default Photomerge entries are being used (as well as all possible combinations of geo-correct, vig-removal, various projections etc).
    Repeating this merge attempt with 'tab view' disabled results in the same sequence (only the evanescent image is a free floating one).
    Initially, my thought was that this was because I had not yet 'activated' CS4. Sadly, 'activation' produced no change: Images are energetically being processed, but the final result disappears.
    Copying the 'manually align' option from CS3 into CS4 results, at the end of various processing messages, in an ErrMsg popping up saying that "CS4 was unable to automatically align 'some' images.
    Um, there were only two images, and was not the point of selecting 'manually align' images to MANUALLY align images?
    CS4 then displays a completely transparent "untitled_Panorama1" image and LOCKS.
    Random clicking on the interface produced a "This program has ..." error (I saved the error dump, if anyone from Adobe is interested) and died.
    To re-iterate, I have yet to be able to create the simplest two-image panorama with CS4 on two, quite different, XPP/3 systems.
    This failure is with images that CS3 has no trouble with on these same systems, at the same time as CS4 fails.
    Something is clearly wrong here.

  • Cs4 extended

    does anyone know if it is possible with PS extended to save a 360° panoramic jpg file as a .mov or flash file?
    does it take an additional plug-in or do i need some other app?
    thanks!

    My guess would be that some of the ColorSync caches have gotten corrupted.
    See this article for how to reset the colorsync caches: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57540493-263/how-to-make-colorsync-profiles-stick-in- os-x/
    If that doesn't work, reset the Photoshop preferences.

  • Problems with Photomerge in CS4

    I'm using Photoshop on Vista 32. When I try to do a photomerge either from PS or Bridge, it does its stuff, then closes everything immediately. Reboots / changed options make no difference. Any ideas?

    ME TOO.
    PhotoMerge appears to have been broken in the move to CS4.

  • Getting the panorama facility working after IOS6 upgrade

    I have upgraded my IPad and Iphone for IOS6 but do not seem to have the panoramic camera facility available in camera options. Any ideas?

    There are quite a few Panorama camera apps in the App Store, one of which is called 360 Panorama, another is caller Demandar Panorama. I believe Dermandar is free in the App Store. Just search for Panorama and you'll find plenty.
