3750G portfast not working help!

Question

Hi All,
ok so I am trying to create a STP loop in my network on purpose - but I can't.
ok the relavent bits:

As you can see portfast is enabled on both ports but in the show spanning-tree one port is blocked.
If i enable per interface bpdufilter then it works but i shouldn't have todo that.
any ideas?

Hi,
You need to disable STP on the actual VLAN:
# no spanning-tree vlan
STP needs to be running for portfast to work. Portfast means that the port transitions to the forwarding state without waiting for the normal STP timers. Portfast enabled ports should only be connected to devices that don't send BPDUs
