39L4333DG - cannot display Flash content in web browser

Hello,
When I try to access Flash sites the web browser shows 'Missing plugin' in the frame where flash player should display the content.
Am I omitting anything?
I have installed the latest firmware: 7.1.90.34.01.1.
For a 2013 TV it is annoying not to have a full featured web browser on a SMART TV.
Is there any chance to have a full web browser in the next firmware version?
Thank you.

When I had similar problems the response from Toshiba was that the browser is only intended for limited use. My problem was not being able to access any site which required a password. Not rocket science you would think!

    This is quiet urgent issue . Any help would be really helpful.. Thanks..

    Hi Marlene,
    Thank you very much for your suggestions.
    But I am not creating a custom workflow in designer as Laura has mentioned. I am instead trying to create a new Out of the box Approval Workflow and I get the error mentioned above.
    As it works in other environment, I tried figuring out the possible differences which can lead to this error.
    Today I found one difference which is there are no form Templates within Infopath Configurations in Central Admin. Now I am trying to figure out what makes this form templates to be added to the template gallery.

  • Display the reports in web browser?

    I need advise.. Here is my requirements.
    we are using Oracle9i database. We have data warehouse Schema. We wanted to display some of the reports in the browser. What are the possible solutions to display the reports in web browser with out using any reporting tools(cognos, business objects etc).
    Thanks

    Well your requirement is a little bit odd, displaying data in database without using tools or application. What's form of these reports you are talking about? Are they just bunch of queries?
    If you don't want to use heavy duty software like cognos or business objects, then consider use Oracle Application Express APEX
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/index.html
    by the way cognos and business objects are OLAP tools, does that mean your reports are OLAP report?

  • Why do I get this message when I try to play a song "The license cannot be downloaded because your Web browser is not supported.

    I downloaded songs from a cd and when I try to play them with windows media player I get this message The license cannot be downloaded because your Web browser is not supported.
    To download a license, you must install Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or later.
    To install the latest version of Internet Explorer, see the Windows Update page."

    Did you copy the songs directly from a CD or did you download the files from a website?
    You can use a different player than the Windows Media Player to play the songs if you copied them from a CD to avoid that.

  • Cannot play Flash content in IE7

    When I navigate IE7 to any site (including adobe.com) that

    BWolfe, dougclutter, and others with Doug's problem:
    BWolfe, I'm truly amazed that dougclutter and others have had
    this very specific and real problem for so long, and Adobe hasn't
    lifted a finger to cure it. I'm stunned. I've been plagued with
    this thing for at least 3 months now, and have been all over the
    net looking for a remedy, after finding absolutely no help from
    Adobe.
    Here's what my symptoms are:
    IE with Flash works in all accounts but mine.
    Latest Adobe Flash player (10) is properly installed. Flash
    content will play on IE8 in anyone's User Account on this machine
    but mine. The only way flash content will play in my user account
    is if it is started as "Run As Administrator". Can actually run 2
    instances of IE side by side, one started normally, the other
    started as "Run as Administrator". Oprah, U Tube, etc., will run
    flash content in the latter window, but won't in the former. Flash
    errors (in IE7} are something to the effect, "Can't run DLL", with
    line number reference, etc. No help from Adobe, HP (my machine
    manufacturer) or Microsoft without paying them a bundle. Just
    updated IE7 to 8, problem unchanged.
    Elaboratiing:
    When right clicking on where Flash Player is supposed to be,
    then clicking the "about Adobe Flash... ", the browser is sent to:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/
    When clicking on the error message at the bottom of the
    browser, the following error message is displayed. (This was
    copied, which Vista gives you the opportunity to do, then pasted
    here.)

    in any and every other user account.
    BWolfe, instead of telling us about proper Adobe procedures
    for reporting and troubleshooting these things, how about you
    forward this to someone who can tell us how to fix this thing! I,
    like dougclutter and others, have been thru the entire Adobe Flash
    Player troubleshooting guide, carried out every suggestion there
    exactly, to no avail. I can show you at least 3 other instances of
    different folks with this same problem. And, as I think I've seen
    elsewhere in this thread, and tried myself, Adobe certainly doesn't
    make it easy to report non-paying customer problems, as with Flash
    Player.
    It's high time Adobe gets with at least one of us to help
    diagnose and cure this problem, and then adds the info to their
    troubleshooting guide, or else fix it in the application if
    possible. Whether the problem is in the app, or do to interaction
    with Vista and possibly XP, you guys need to look into this thing.
    I, for one, would be more than happy to help you 'shoot this thing,
    I am and engineer and have been computing since the DOS days.

  • Cannot access flash content in adobe reader

    Opening flash content in Adobe reader causes Adobe reader to advise me that "flash player" is required.
    I have cleaned and reinstalled the latest flash and adobe reader multiple times.
    I have reset the internet options and checked the plugins
    I have installed shockwave
    I have verified flash works fine in internet explorer
    I have tried the "repair installation" in Adobe Reader.
    I have manually scanned the registry and cleaned it of all adobe registry entries then reinstalled all adobe applications (they all acted as if it was their first time and functioned properly).
    ANY help would be appreciated.

    Adobe and Flash content wrote:
    What is the difference between that file and the one that ends with "AX" from the adobe web site.
    Further from what TSN has already explained: Internet Explorer uses a technology called ActiveX for browser add-ons; that's what the "AX" stands for.  All other browsers use the "plugin" technology (NPAPI) originally developed by Netscape.
    I have for years tried to convince Adobe to provide a single installer for Windows that installs all Flash Player components, instead of two different installers (https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=2945082).  Unfortunately this seems to be a lost cause.  But you can go to the bugbase link in the previous sentence, and cast a vote to implement it.

  • Fast display of ResultSet to web browser

    I am working on refactoring my companies search engine, and a critical component of the search is that the results be displayed very quickly. We have done enourmous work on making the queries fast (under 1 second), but the bottleneck always seems to be how we process the results into HTML and send them to the users web browser.
    Running Tomcat, we currently use a JSP page to pass the search parameters to a Java class that queries the database and generates HTML based on the ResultSet object. The method we use to generate the HTML is very low tech, we simply generate a String that contains HTML along with the data from the ResultSet and print the String out to the users web browser via the PrintWriter object obtained from the session.
    I would like to solicit ideas as to how this process can be improved. What's the absolute fastest way to get ResultSet data transformed into HTML and displayed in the users browser? I'm exploring maybe using the XML, but I haven't found much information about the speed of that technology. One caveat is that the data has to be processed before display,in the sense that if certain flags are set in a row of the ResultSet, that row data should be displayed accordingly.
    We currently do something like this many times:
    String html = "<table>";
    if(resultSet.getInt(3) == SOME_FLAG) {
        html += "<tr><td><font color='red'>resultSet.getString(6)</font></td></tr>";
    html += "</table>";It would be nice if the suggestions would fit into our current Oracle/Solaris/Tomcat/JSP/Servlet architecture, but not a requirement.
    Thank you very much!
    P.S. Sorry if this isn't the right category for this. I labored long and hard deciding which category to post this question under, and this one seemed to be the best fit.

    Check out the FormattedDataSet. It does things similar to what your code does, but is much more flexible AND monitored for performance in with JAMon. Out of the box it can create html tables, list boxes, drop downs, multi selects and html. As a developer you can generate dynamic text to appear any way you dream up.
    Here is some sample code
    FormattedDataSet fds=FormattedDataSet.createInstance();
    // same query vary the formatting. note other types of tabular data are also accepted
    String html=fds.getFormattedDataSet("select * from table", "htmlTable");
    String xml=fds.getFormattedDataSet("select * from table", "xml");
    String csv=fds.getFormattedDataSet("select * from table", "csv");Check out a live demo at http://www.fdsapi.com. Within the next week I hope to have a live demo that allows you to type in queries. You can already download a demo war that has this capability.

  • Display PDF document in web browser

    Hi,
    I have a smartform which is being triggered from Web UI. I got the data and converted it to PDF format.
    I need to display this PDF data in a web browser Pop up.
    Please let me know how can I do that.

    Abhishek,
    If you are using the business transaction types, you can setup a default "print" action which then when you click on the "print preview" in the webUI you will get an PDF output view of the print output.
    If that doesn't work, then look at the business partner factsheet code delivered by SAP which will show how to display a PDF.

  • Box with rounded corners displays as rectangle in Web Browser

    I am using the box control (IBoxObject) in my Crystal Reports with rounded corners. However the box displays as a rectangle with square corners when viewed in a web browser. I have tried this in IE 7.0.5730.13, Firefox 3.0.3 and Chrome 0.2.149.30 all give the same problem.
    The interesting thing is that the boxes display correctly at design time and when exported to PDF, but they wonu2019t display correctly in IE/Firefox/Chrome. Here are the specific settings for the box:
                    CornerEllipseHieght = 375
                    CornerEllipseWidth = 375
                    Crystal Reports Version 10.5.3700.0
    I have also attached an image to try and clarify the problem.

    Thanks in advance for any help with this issue.

    Thank you Ted, this was my take on the problem but it is good to have a confirmation.
    There are CSS (HTML) solutions for creating boxes with rounded corners, such as [SpiffyBox|http://www.spiffybox.com/] and [CSS Rounded Box Generator|http://www.neuroticweb.com/recursos/css-rounded-box/index.php?idioma=en] and many more that can be found using [Google|http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=cssboxeswithroundedcorners&btnG=Google+Search&meta=].
    Do you know of any plans to support rounded corners in the future?
    Thanks for your help!

  • Cannot display BIG5 characters for web applications deployed to 9iAS

    I have just installed the J2EE and Webcache module of Oracle9iAS Release 2 to
    my Windows NT Server 4.0 and deployed a simple web application to it. However,
    I found that the JSP cannot display chinese (Big5) characters correctly. My JSP
    is something like:
    <%@ page contentType="text/html; charset=BIG5" %>
    <HTML><BODY>
    <% String s = SOME_BIG5_CHARACTERS; %>
    <%= s %>
    </BODY></HTML>
    On the other hand, I tried to re-direct the standard output to a log file and
    do the following in my servlet.
    System.out.println(SOME_BIG5_CHARACTERS);
    Now, the Big5 characters CAN be displayed correctly in the log file. So, I am
    confused with where the problem is.
    Here are my settings to my 9iAS:
    1) Using regedit, I have set the NLS_LANG variable of the corresponding
    ORACLE_HOME to TRADITIONAL CHINESE_TAIWAN.ZHT16BIG5
    2) In the file %ORACLE_HOME%\Apache\Jserv\conf\jserv.properties, I have
    inserted the following line:
    wrapper.env=NLS_LANG=TRADITIONAL CHINESE_TAIWAN.ZHT16BIG5
    3) In the file %ORACLE_HOME%\Apache\Apache\conf\httpd.conf, I have added the
    following line:
    PassEnv NLS_LANG
    4) In the file %ORACLE_HOME%\opmn\conf\opmn.xml, I have added the following
    line to the corresponding OC4J instance:
    <environment>
    <prop name="NLS_LANG" value="TRADITIONAL CHINESE_TAIWAN.ZHT16BIG5"/>
    </environment>
    5) For my application server, I set the java option with -Dfile.encoding=Big5
    6) I have replaced the file font.properties with font.properties.zh_TW under
    %ORACLE_HOME%\jdk\jre\lib.
    7) I have set the following in the file orion-web.xml of my web application:
    <orion-web-app
    deployment-version="9.0.2.0.0"
    default-charset="Big5"
    jsp-cache-directory="./persistence"
    temporary-directory="./temp"
    internationalize-resources="false"
    default-mime-type="application/octet-stream"
    servlet-webdir="/servlet/">
    </orion-web-app>
    Anyone have idea on fixing my problem? Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Kae

    I met a similar problem before but not exactly your case. When I compile the JSP by Jdeveloper, it will convert the chinese characters to strange characters. It makes me crazy to handle the chinese characters ...
    Anyway, by my experience, you better isolate the chinese characters from your JSP or Java programs. Instead, put all language dependent text in a properties file and then use native2ascii to covert your properties file into Unicode. Of course, u need to change your page charset to UTF-8.
    U can get more idea from the following site.

  • How to display Flash Content uploaded in Admin Console

    HI All ,
    I have created a flash content in the admin console.Flash file is uploaded to a binary property.
    I have to display that flash file in the JSP.
    Normally , a Image can be displayed in the JSP , with following tag,
    *<img src="<%=request.getContextPath() + "/ShowProperty" + node.getPath()+"//Brochure-Image"%>" />*
    But how to display a flash content uploaded in the admin console.
    Pls suggest me in this regard,
    Srinivas

    There is no wlp tag to display flash image. You have to use HTML object tag for this. Just google it and you will find lot of answer how to include flash file in your JSP.
    Either you pass a path to your repository or save the file somewhere on you local drive and use that path.
    <object width="968" height="209" id="mymoviename">
                        <param name="movie" value="../flash/abcd.swf"/>
                        <param name="quality" value="high"/>
                        <embed src="../flash/abcd.swf" quality="high"

  • Get IE8 to display Flash content

    Does anyone have a bullet proof method for embedding Flash content so that it shows in all flavors of IE8 WITHOUT having the user change settings on their machine?
    I'm working on a project that was tested by a couple of people who could see the content then click on a link in the Flash content which loads a URL in the same page THEN when they hit the back button in their IE browser the Flash content doesn't show.
    I was using SWFObject to embed but have switched to a simple method shown below:
    <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" id="cdbwidget" data="CDBabyStore_widget.swf?customerID=xhWv7J5EP8fi22rByrPcVg%3d%3d&byType=ByCustomer&si teURL=document.referrer&colorScheme=0x000000,0xE0E0E0,0xCCCCCC,0x666666,0x333333,0xFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFF" width="550" height="575">
        <param name="movie" value="CDBabyStore_widget.swf?customerID=xhWv7J5EP8fi22rByrPcVg%3d%3d&byType=ByCustomer&s iteURL=document.referrer&colorScheme=0x000000,0xE0E0E0,0xCCCCCC,0x666666,0x333333,0xFFFFFF ,0xFFFFFF" />
    </object>
    I've tested this on Windows 7 running IE7, 8 & 9 and it works flawlessly but two people are having the issue I noted above.
    Thanks for any tips.

    In a nutshell, if you've tested it and it works, it works. The two people who are having problems (there will probably be thousands more worldwide) have a setting in their Internet Options or in Windows that is causing the problem.
    You might want to run this through the Flash and Dreamweaver forums as well to get some more insight from people who are more skilled at Flash integration and older browser compatibility.

  • Examples of using lightbox to display Flash content (swf)?

    I want to use lightbox to display Flash video player.  I would like to have lightbox load a page that has SWFObject code for displaying the Flash content.  This page with the Flash content and SWFObject will have certain paramters and vars.  Does anyone know of an example or tutoral for doing this?
    Thanks!

    instead of using Lightbox, try using Fancy-Box:

    Look for the example called "Swf" under "Various Examples"  It's a text hyperlink demonstrating Flash with ActionScript 3.0
