3D animations- simple adivce please

Hello:
I need to create a series of video tutorials for some
products of which I have 3D files (genrated from Rhino and proE). I
wish to animate these 3D objects so that they can be presented in a
video format over the web. Is it postile to import a complete 3D
model and animate in CS3 Flash? Shoudl I be using other programs to
do this? I know acobat 9 extended can manipulate 3D objects, but
I'm not sure how to animate them.
Any direction you can offer me would be much appreciated.

3D does work. There's another post on this issue here and it's been answered by Adobe Tech Support. I followed the instructions on that post and your animation worked perfectly. When they talk about opening the project, they mean your Captivate project. If your 3D animation is a keyframe animation, you lose the ability to preview your project in the preview window... however you can still preview the project in the browser (F12). If your animation is a regular 3D transform, you can still preview in the preview window, except your animation won't run. Attached is your 3D animation and I converted it back to a regular 3D transform.
Can you start another thread for your highlight box / button issue?

Open up activity monitor and under all process, see how much dock is using. highlight it and hit quit process.
since you're already at activity monitor, hit quit process on anything else using more than 10% of your CPU's resources.
see if your Retina runs cooler once you've done that.

You can research into the iMovie app and see what it'll do. I'm afraid I've never used it. But I know it does have a section on this forum so maybe someone there can answer your question.
The only other way I can think of would be to get your files off your iPad and onto a computer and then get a video editing program (there are several that are inexpensive) and use that to put them together.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

The sound that you hear indicates a potential hardware problem. We may need to look at the Event Logs to see if Windows has recorded any information on what exactly is causing it.
You will need to open the Event Viewer, then find the recorded event at the time from the last emergency shutdown, then provide us with that information.

After having no internet for over 24hrs, my IPad has completely shut down. I have tried everything I can think of, including a reset but think that was a really bad move!! Any ideas for how to get my pad back? Simple words please..I am not a pro AT ALL.

My internet was down for over 24hrs after a storm. During that time, my IPad completely shut down and I can't get it going again. I studied the manual but couldn't find a similar topic. I reset it and now it is totally goofed up.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Help with Forte: very simple question, please help!

I recently downloaded the community version of Forte (Sun One) but can't seem to get any new empty class programs to execute properly. I know something is probably not set up right, which is why I really need a little help to get started. Regardless of the code I try to execute, the output error is always:
"java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: (name of program)
Exception in thread "main" "
Please let me know what I'm not doing right. I would really appreciate anybody's thoughts on this problem because I would love to get Forte working so I can start learning Java. Thanks for your input!

I would tell you that Forte is not a tool for the beginner. you should look at something simpler. Forte is a fully integrated development environment. I would look at a simple editor like emacs, available at gnu.org. The commands of this editor are quite difficult to get use to.
As for setting the class varialbe. It depends on the O/s that you are using. win98/me is different than NT/xp. Need to know one or the other before explaining.

Help with simple preloader- please

hello,
i'm trying to get a simple preloader and progress bar working
for a swf file. The problem is the main swf. movie starts playing
under preloader before the preloader is finished. So when the
preloader has finished you are already well into the main movie.
(After the movie loops you can see the first part that was missing
during the preload.) This is the AS that i found from a web site
(MonkeyFlash), it is AS 3. Below is the script.

Also is it not advisable to use AS3 because it will only work
in Flash 9 and not below and most people may not have 9? Should i
be starting over in AS2. I had built a AS2 in Flash CS3 but had the
same problem.

for different methods and i'm afraid i'm a bit of a numb skull with
Flash and can not seem to get a simple preloader and progress bar

... the pre-loader clip must be accompanied by a "stop"
perhaps a "stop all sounds", too ActionScript on the action layer
of the main timeline.
I keep it simple and ask my prloader to not let the main
timeline play until the final frame of the movie has loaded. The
final frame is accompanied by a frame labeled "End" on a layer of
the main timeline of just labels.

I consider Time Capsule slow, mainly because it depends upon a wireless network for backing up. I tried it, but went back to the plug and play FW800 wired backup. Since this particular forum is for the MacBook Pro hardware, I'd suggest the following two forums to search for your answer (or ask questions):

Since you want easy, the external hard drive is about as easy as it gets. Buy. Unpack. Plug into your Mac. Format (if you don't buy a Mac formatted one, which is unnecessary). Go to System Preferences>Time Machine. Choose the disk as the time machine. Turn on.

Can I solve this without any need of specifing a primary key for books at all?
How is CMP handling no-pk entity and is relations working without any pk?
Do EJB vendors manage no pk ejbs? what about ejb restrictions.
I ve read that there must be a primary key, but not necessery a database field - HOW? could you please explain!

working without any pk?Using s1as l have found out that l if you do not specify a primary key on creation of entity bean, the ejbCreate returns null as the primary key which causes an EJBException.
Why? Cos I think a primary key has to be returned at the same time as the handle to the entity bean is stored in the Context. Why it would not insert the data first then request a primary key l dont know. I must say that this happens when you try to use autoincrement in the primary key column.

Simple instructions please to update N95

Can someone please give me some SIMPLE instructions how to update the firmware on an N95. I have gone round and round and round in circles on the website to no avail. I appeared to have accidentally downloaded an Updater (it suddenly popped up to be saved) and I have installed that. I then searched for hours for the actual firmware update itself to no avail. I kept ending up on what seems to be a 5 step set of instructions but nothing to say where the software file is.
Then I thought the Updater may be set up to find the file but all that produced when I installed it was the message "Cannot connect to NOL server" (whatever that is).
I cannot believe that I am so dumb that I cannot do what should be such as simple process. I tried to find something through the phone itself but that drew a blank too. Is there a file somewhere on the site to download that is the actual update? if not how do I do it?

the process should be pretty simple - you have downloaded a pc program called Nokia Software Updater which then takes you through the actual update process. But there seems to be something wrong with the pc software you are using.
Can you let us know which version of the Nokia Software Updater you are using?
Did you just download it from a Nokia website or did you have it previously installed and the software just updated itself to a new version?
And which Nokia website did you download it from?

Need animated gif help-please help

I have created a flash document that has a mask in it, and I
am trying to publish it as an animated gif. On my home computer, I
go to publish and set all the settings, but when it get's published
it doesn't show the mask. At my work computer it doesn't showt he
mask and it is not animated eventhough i have the settings in the
GIF tab as animated.
what am I doing wrong?

To set up the new AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) as a bridge, either connect to the AEBSn's wireless network or temporarily connect your computer directly (using an Ethernet cable) to one of the LAN port of the AEBSn, and then, using the AirPort Utility, make these settings:

o Connection Sharing: Off (Bridge Mode)
