3D does not work in Photoshop CS6 on my Dell i7 laptop
Hi
Problems with 3D objects. PS freezes every time I create a 3D object and try to come out of 3D mode or save the file.
TRIED:
Updating driver for ATI Mobility Radeon HD560V display adapter
AMD website auto-suggested and installed HD 4650 (?) driver.
That made PS work a bit better, but other stuff started freezing (Chrome, Bridge)
Went to Dell site and reinstalled HD 560V. Had to uninstall and reinstall Catalyst Control Centre.

Your screen shot is in the virus scanning queue, where it can linger for minutes, hours, days or weeks.
If you use the camera icon in the reply editor's formatting bar, you can embed your image in your post, where it will be viewable instantly.

I have a 5 yr old pdf made with Photoshop Album 2. The sound does not work and also an attached video does not play (only shows as a still image). This pdf used to work perfectly when I got it but since of course I have change computer, os and acrobat versions many times. I think it worked fine when using Windows XP, don't know which version of Acrobat Reader. Currently running Windoiws7 and Reader 9.3
I got this sent to me so I only have the pdf, no original files etc.

Help does not work in photoshop elements 12, WHY??
I just installed photoshop elements 12, none of the selections under HELP will work, I keep getting a message that “there was an error launching the default browser and to reinstall elements. I have done this 3 times and installed updates, HELP still does not work. I called customer support and was told I would have to pay to get support with defective software???? How do I get the help functions to work? John Borden
Perhaps the problem is with your browser. If this is a windows machine, maybe you have changed the default browser to FireFox, Chrome or something else and maybe you have modified the browser with add-ons, etc. If so, what I would do is load Internet Explorer and update it; then I would go into the browser's settings and mark is as the default browser. Close it and reboot the machine. Then try the Help file links again and see what happens. If this doesn't work, I don't know what else to suggest, at the moment. My default browser is FireFox and it works OK with PSE 12, but what works on one computer doesn't necessarily mean it will work on another. Good luck.

32-bit plugin shortcut created on windows 64 does not work in PS CS6 (32bit)
Here is a really odd one.
I have 32-bit and 64-bit PS installed on Windows 8. If I have a 32-bit plugin in FOLDER32, and I manually create a shortcut in the 32-bit PS Plugins folder that points to FOLDER32, 32-bit PS will not load the plugin in FOLDER32.
If I do the same thing for a 64-bit plugin in 64-bit PS, it works fine.
However, if I create the shortcut to FOLDER32 from a 32-bit program (such as a custom 32-bit installer tool), then 32-bit PS *can* follow the shortcut and does see the plugin in FOLDER32.
Weird, huh?
Message was edited by: Shmoopie99 (made title more specific)The WoW64 subsystem redirects shortcuts that point to the 64-bit Program Files to the 32-bit Program Files (x86) causing the plugin to not be found.
The simplest fix would be to copy the 32-bit plugin into the Plug-Ins folder of the 32-bit version of Photoshop.
Unfortunately Wow64DisableWow64FsRedirection does not work for %PROGRAMFILES%, so a 32-bit application would have to attempt to fix the path manually. -

Do:
Check the plug-in manufacturer's website for the latest version of your plug-in
Use the manufacturer's plug-in installer to install their plug-ins
Don't:
Do not point Photoshop CS6's "Additional Plug-ins" preference (Preferences>Plug-Ins...) at a previous version of Photoshop's 'Plug-Ins' folder.
Do not manually drag plug-ins from a previous version of Photoshop's plug-ins folder to Photoshop CS6's 'Plug-Ins' folder

so it seem there are some issue.. thought to just copy the plugins seems to work fine for me.
but if they say so.... be warned
in the end it is a beta .. don´t use it for critical work.
of course you should not copy the plugins that come with CS5 over to CS6.

3D Mode Tool are not working in Photoshop CS6
Hello everyone. First, I want to tell you that I use ATI Radeon HD 6730M with 12.2 driver series. and I just found out that my Photoshop CS6 3D mode tool not working in advanced drawing mode, like this.
As well as normal drawing mode. Please help to fix this problem.When you changed the options in the Preferences - Performance - Advanced Options section, did you close Photoshop and restart it before testing? That's necessary or you won't be testing what you think you are.
Assuming you have done so, if you have exhausted the various GPU options, I don't think you have any other options beyond waiting for a new and improved display driver. I suppose it's possible the Adobe folks might improve their code to make it work better on different setups, but generally speaking these kinds of things seem to be glitches in the display driver.
I just tried a similar operation to what you're doing on my Radeon HD 5670 with Catalyst 12.6 drivers and it seems to work okay.

Nik Collection does not work with Photoshop CC 64-bit but with 32-bit
Hi,
though the Nik-Collection-Filters are listed (and installed) in PS CC 64, they do not work properly. The first visible difference is, that the "panel" of the various filters is not displayed when I start PS, but it is in the 32 bit version.
Even if I want to apply an Nik-Filter on an image nothing changes, but it does in 32 bit mode.
Is there a solution for this problem?
Thanks!Hello, I found a Post. I tried this and it works perfectly, you don't have to re-install CC or install CS6 all you have to do is that you install the Nik Collection in Photoshop CC (32bit) (plug ins) then you copy the "Google" File and that is the important one !!

Oil Paint Filter not working in Photoshop CS6?
Ok, so I have had PS CS6 for a couple of months with no problems. I downloaded the oil paint filter, but to use it i needed to update my GPU drivers, so I did and it started working. Last week, i noticed that when i attempt to use the filter, it says that need to have the box in the preferences section saying 'enable graphics processor' checked. before it was previously checked. Now when i go to it, it is greyed out because of an 'error' in my display drivers. I reinstalled my display drivers but it did not solve the problem. For some reason it is still greyed out. I know that my GPU meets the requirements for using oil paint, it was working fine before so why has it decided to stop working now?
I have not removed any parts from my computer so it wouldn't have affected it. If anyone could help me on this issue then i would be extremely grateful.You haven't installed the Photoshop updates -- you should be on 13.0.3 or 13.1.1, not 13.0.0.
Oil Paint uses the GPU, and requires a decent GPU.
Your GPU doesn't support many of the features needed by the Oil Paint filter, and barely supports any of the GPU features in Photoshop (notice that it does not support OpenCL, or Normal or Advance mode for GPU drawing).
