3D like picture carousel

Not sure if this is the wrong app, but I am trying to create a slide show with a carousel like theme. Pictures drop in from the top and land at different points to create a carousel layout and then spin to reveal each picture. Once a picture I want in in front, it will zoom to fit the screen. Can Motion not create this effect? I have been through the Library looking for a movement that would mimich this sort of 3D layout. PhotoTunnel seems to be a closer fit for the job, but does not seem to be very robust and is buggy. Something similar also is the iDVD theme with the baby crib. Will Motion do the job or not?

I have signed out then back into the cloud. I have comfirmed location of the photostream folder. I have have even restored settings on my phone. any ideas on what I can do to get it working again? or do I have to accept defect, and manually save my photos?

Validate your fonts using Font Book.
How to use Font Book to validate fonts
1. Open Font Book in your Applications folder.
2. Select All Fonts.
3. Now click in the list of fonts and select all (Edit > Select All).
4. Under File in the Menu bar, select Validate Fonts.
5. Duplicate fonts will be marked with either the yellow badge or a black dot.
6. Select to remove or delete duplicates.*
7. Delete font caches (how to)
8. Restart your computer
* Step 6 – remove or delete duplicates is where the tricky part comes in. You can select to let Font Book disable or remove duplicates, but I’ve found that it removes the one you have not been using rather than selecting the best option. Don't worry. Although iTunes blocks us transferring photos back from iPhone to computer, you can have some third party app to help you.

If I recall, the picture package is in Bridge. Which was removed in CC and newer.
In bridge change the workspace to see the output options.

Videos dont import to iphoto like pictures

I am new to Mac. I sync wirelessly with iTunes and when I take pictures on my iPhone 4 it auto sends to Photo Stream and puts them into iPhoto. BUT, Videos taken on my iPhone dont import to iPhoto. They dont appear to "go to" my Mac at all. I could only get them on my MacBookPro by plugging in with a cable and transferring manually that way. Am I missing something??

Display like picture negative?

My cat sat on my keyboard and now the display everywhere looks like a picture negative. I have been trying to get it back to normal but have not figured it out yet. If anyone has an idea of how to fix it, please help me out. Thank you!

Ringtones from another phone will not work on iphone.
You will have to create iphone ringtones. Google will find several ways to do this.
Contacts, calendars,photos, etc should be on your computer. From there you can sync them to iphone.

Anyone know of a imaging program like Picture-It for the iMac?

Picture-It from Kodak was an imaging program that allowed you to add borders, titles, special effects, and create collages (from scratch as well as templets) as well as calendars, postcards, greeting cards, etc. Somewhat simplistic (it walked you through creation of stuff with questions and answers you selected) it was reasonably effective and was free. Anyone know of anything similar for little money?

Another application to consider, especially if you think you might want to do more advanced editing at some time is Photoshop Elements for Mac. It runs about $90. Amazon.com often has a special on it bringing it down a little under $80. Canon also bundles it with many of its scanners if you're in the market for a scanner.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

You can only recover files/data have not be overwritten. Normally you have to pay for a software such as Getdata or service to recover data/files but there are some free products:

I want to play a video within a picture frame (kind of like picture in picture with perspective)

i'll try to describe what i'm trying to do.
I want to slowly zoom in on an empty desk. The desk does have a picture frame, with a child in a soccer uniform. As the camera zooms in, the child starts to move within the frame, as if the picture came alive.
I can do picture in picture, but I need have the smaller picture (with the child), look as if it is in the frame, which is being zoomed into.

Artifacts and cartoon like picture on quicktime 7.3 with 10.4.11

10.4.11 brought some odd quirks (usb mikes don't wor etc...) but now I can see quicktime movies ( they look animated - using the trailers section for instance- I can see movies in itunes preview fine and inline previews but all quicktime player playback is - odd- ( looks like someone added-- I took a screen capture) not sure if this is just another 10.4.11 problem ( applecare suggested I downgrade to fix the usb issue- so I gather there are some quirks)

Many, many thanks! Given that information I searched farther and found my version 7 registration code on an old backup disk, and happily that did the trick. Problem solved.

Give yourself time to learn the new system - you didn't become an expert Windows user over night so don't expect to become an instant Mac user either.
Assuming you don't want to learn how to hand code a web site, you have three main choices for web site creation - RapidWeaver, iWeb (which came with your Mac), and Sandvox. There are a few open source web site design programs but none that I can really recommend. iWeb is probably the easiest to learn how to use but, in the end, the most limited. I'm a fan of Rapidweaver. Check out their forum and list of add-ons and you'll find a couple different ways to create the jukebox effect.
For editing the pictures there are a wealth of choices depending on what it is you want to do. You could start with Photoshop Elements for a complete graphic design program or choose from several more specialized tools such as EasyFrame. The web site macupdate.com is a great place to find Mac shareware and freeware, try looking there for things you need.
