3D pdf made in Acrobat 8 isn't working in 9

Hi Everybody!
I have a little problem again with 3D Pdf ( always problems....grr )
I made a Pdf with 3D content in Acrobat 8. It was working well, but only with Reader 8!
If I try to open in Reader 9 the 3D content doesn't appear.
Could be a solution if I make the Pdf in Acrobat 9, but Acrobat 9 has some new and else properties and I can't make my 3D Pdf correctly!
So my question is: Why doesn't work the Acrobat 8 3D Pdf in Acrobat Reader 9?
Hope there are some solution!
Thank You!

Currently, Adobe Reader for Android does not provide an option to disable auto-save.
In the Reader home screen (where your files are displayed), you can make a copy of the original PDF document, open the copy (instead of opening the original document), make changes to the copy.  Once you email the copy, you can delete it.
For more information, please see Help > How To... > Copy, edit, delete, manage.
Although it is not the most convenient way to accomplish the task, that's the only feasible workaround that is available in Adobe Reader for Android right now.

I upgraded to Lion and now can't print PDF files and Acrobat reader doesn't work anymore. What can I do to get it working?

If you upgraded and were using a version of Acrobat Reader that was legacy, that is PPC compatible, then you will have to upgrade to a version compatible with Lion as Lion no longer has Rosetta to interface with the legacy software.
I know that Acrobat, full version, 10 works with Lion...use it myself.

  • PDF made in Acrobat, Buttons not working right in Reader

I made a PDF presentation for a client and he is using a PC to view it. When I open it on my MAC using Preview the buttons work, it goes to whatever page I clicked on. He opened it on his PC using Reader and the buttons don't work. I also tried to view it in Reader on my MAC and they don't work either, only in Preview.
This is how I made the buttons:
Under Tools, I clicked on Interative Objects. Then Add Button. Then, Mouse Up, Go To Page View, then I added the page for each button.
Then when I save it as a PDF, I need to shrink down the file size, so I did : Save as PDF Optimizer, I didn't change much on the default for the settings. The Discard Objects Settings I only left the "Discard all alternate images" button checked.
The client sent me a sample of one that works and one that doesn't work. I opened them in Acrobat and I have buttons just like the one that works but I don't know if my saving settings are correct.
here is a link to the files that I made
    https://www.limoprinting.com/proofs/sample1.pdf
here is the sample the client sent me that works
    https://www.limoprinting.com/proofs/workingsample.pdf
I've never used Acrobat before, just photoshop, illistrator, indesign and dreamweaver so I'm sure I'm missing something, I appreciate any help anyone can give me . I also hope I'm clear in my descrition of the problem. Thank you!

By the way, do not ever save an interactive PDF with Preview and distribute it. Only work with the document within Acrobat. Preview causes all sorts of corruption. If you did save with Preview, don't bother trying to edit it in Acrobat and instead start from scratch if you don't have a copy as it was before it was saved with Preview.

  • Reader XI not Opening PDF made in Acrobat IX

Both a customer and I just updated to Reader XI and neither of us can open existing PDF documents created in Acrobat IX.
The attached screenshot shows the document opening on my server with Acrobat XI while failing to open with Reader XI on my local machine.
Server is 2012 R2, local machine is Win 8.1.
Is there a converter which can help resolve this issue?

However, from your screenshot it's clear that you already have the latest Flash Player plugin installed, so this is not the issue here.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Isn't Working Right on my New iMac Either

Adobe Acrobat 8 has two problems on my iMac. The lesser problem comes when I go into the Print command and click "Preview." I get a message that says that Preview isn't supported.
The greater problem just cropped up as I was writing about my problems with Quicktime and Real Player: Acrobat tried to update itself and then gave me a message that says, "Cannot overwrite file /Users/(myname)/Documents/Update5/AdobeUpdater/acrobat8pro-en_US/AUMProduct.dmg . The file maybe be locked or you may not have sufficient access rights. Please make sure you have write access to this file." Can anyone help? Thanks.

Preview is not supported because building a preview of a print job under OS X involves creating a .PDF file. You already have a .PDF file open if you're using Acrobat, so there's no point creating a new one.
That's not a problem with Acrobat. The system is saying that you have a file named AUMProduct.dmg in place already, and you don't have permission to update it. You need to change the permissions on that file so that you can update it, or to use an account which has update permission. Or it might just be locked and you need to unlock it. Locate it using the Finder (you have the complete path to the file listed above) and see what permissions are on the file and whether or not it is locked.
You might also just put the entire Update5 folder into the Trash and try updating again.
The file maybe be locked or you may not have sufficient access rights. Please make sure you have write access to this file." Can anyone help? Thanks.

  • My pc will not print a pdf made on mac os?

my pc will not print a pdf made on mac os? Anybody out in adobe land have any helpful tips or suggestions, or I am I doomed to running to kinko's everytime I need to print a signed pdf from a mac user, it's 2014, and many dumb IT problems still exist in the world. But hey, we can put people on the moon, and sounds like mars is on the way, why adobe, why?

This can happen with PDFs made in Preview (Part of Mac OS X). PDFs created with Preview are "quirky" at best with Reader. Especially if they contain form fields or images. THAT's an Apple thing. Whenever I need something "universal" I always make it with Acrobat Pro, because I deal with PC clients all week long.
Even PDFs made with Acrobat on a PC, signed and then saved with Preview, will have problems.

This message came up.  The pdf was made in acrobat on March 23,2014.  It worked fine on that day 2 different times.  Now it says that there is something wrong.  You can read the message if you click on it and pull down the little boxes that I scrunched up so you could read what is wrong.  This file is my son's Eagle Scout workbook and we need it.  Thank you for any help .

  • Acrobat won't open PDF made in ID CS5

    Hi There,
I recently upgraded to CS5 and am having trouble opening PDFs I make using the Export command in InDesign. It makes the PDF, but then Acrobat gives me the following error when I dbl clk the file to open it:
Acrobat could not open '2010 Supplement.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document to Adobe PDF.
This error message seems off the mark, as obviously it was not sent to me by email and was created out of the source application already.
Oddly, when I right click the PDF icon and use the Open With command, the file opens.

This is the same thing that is happening to me.
I spent a little while reading the other thread on this forum about PDF's not exporting from CS5 properly. It either enters an endless loop of background tasks or it never finishes and people end up having to force quit.
Mine is having issues but when I export a PDF, it actually creates the PDF icon but when I try to open it I get an error message telling me the file has been damaged or something. This is only happening to me with larger files, particular 20+ page files. It doesn't matter how long I wait to try to open the PDF, it just won't open.
I tried one suggestion from someone on the other thread that recommended you export from Adobe PDF presets, and create a new preset instead of using any existing ones, but that did not work either. I am working with a vendor that is requesting a PDF to print from instead of a packaged inDesign file and I cannot for the life of me get this file to save as a PDF. Even when I hold my mouse over the PDF icon that it creates, it reads "0 bytes" as the file size, even if I wait like half a day before trying to open it. If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it!

  • Opening pdfs with acrobat 8 no longer working

Has anyone else experienced this new issue with launching
Acrobat 8 on Windows machines from a Director-made program? I've
been using this BuddyApi script for years without incident. Now my
clients who've upgraded (sometimes unknowingly) to Acrobat 8
recently, cannot see the pdfs anymore. Acrobat simply does not open
(launch). There are no errors. Acrobat 8 on the Mac side does
continue to work properly however. This has the potential to be a
huge issue with my past and future programming. Has anyone come
across a fix or new script yet? I checked Acrobat FAQs and BuddyApi
FAQs as well as Google searches but to no avail. Any help is
    appreciated.

OK, just looked at the above thread. So, does appear to be an
    Arobat issue. Though
not sure why it happens on some computers and not on others.
    Are there any big
differences between the working computers and non working
ones - maybe CPU. I have

    he's heard of the

  • Acrobat 9 isn't recognizing Word 2008 structure for bookmarks

Hi -- I posted the following on the Acrobat User Community Forums Sunday and got zero response.  I talked with Adobe tech support today and was encouraged to post it here.
Limping to the finish line of my voluminous PhD dissertation, broke and with just Acrobat 7, I created pdfs then found that Acrobat wasn't recognizing my Word structure for bookmarks.  I immediately reasoned it was because I had had to upgrade to Office 2008 for Mac and that I must need Acrobat 9.  So I used the remaining balance on a credit card to purchase the Acrobat 9 download, upgraded it, made a pdf of my Part 1 literature review and -- ta, da -- Acrobat 9 does not recognize my Word structure.  That is, when I go to Bookmarks and select Options menu, the option "New bookmark from structure" is not available.  My Word docs are all set up with heading styles that allow for automatic table of contents in Word.  I thought that was how it's supposed to work for creating bookmarks in pdfs.  I had created bookmarks manually for my maps and tables but, as noted, my dissertation is voluminous and so are the tables of contents -- way too long to have to input manually unless there is simply no other way.  Already way in the hole at the end of my lengthy doctoral work, it currently seems my $159 for the Acrobat 9 upgrade was all for naught.  My last expert support contract is long expired and I suppose I will have to lay out more precious bucks I don't have to get professional support for this issue.  I will be so grateful if someone on this forum can advise.
Version note:  After installing Acrobat 9 I did the upgrade that popped up, and thought it said 9.1.3.  Not prompted to, I even restarted after the upgrade, yet when I check "About Acrobat" it tells me I have version 9.0.0.
After posting the above Sunday I discovered that when I save as Acrobat 9 pdf from Word doc files, I get a pdf with the first couple pages in a separate file from the rest -- possibly split at a new section.  I wondered whether it was due to some error I might have made in Distiller while attempting to follow the confusing (for me) instructions for setting up Acrobat 9 for Mac.  While talking with the tech support fellow I saved a pdf from a docx file and it made only one pdf file like you would expect, but as previously noted, those also do not recognize my built-in Word header style structure.  I have my numerous dissertation text files saved in doc format at request of a doctoral committee member and don't want to risk having to reformat after conversion to docx just so I can make pdfs -- I'd rather just go back to using Acrobat 7 if Acrobat 9 can't read my Word structure -- the whole reason I dropped the bucks on it now, since I hope to upgrade Creative Suite ASAP, but can't afford to right now.  The tech instructed me to uninstall Acrobat 7 in case this may be the source of the problems, but I don't want to do that in case I still need to use it.  He gave me some work-arounds, including new preferences and a new user account with administrative access to see if Acrobat 9 will work properly unencumbered by Acrobat 7 on my main account.  Also I can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Acrobat 9 upgrade.  But frankly, I'm very dissappointed at the prospect of being waylaid for many more hours trying to get a product to work that doesn't seem to be living up to its claims -- at a time when I expected to be (finally) done.  Has anyone out there successfully created bookmarks from a Word 2008 for Mac style hierarchy?  Considering the time I've spent so far, I might as well have stuck with Acrobat 7 and just input the bookmarks manually.  I'm reluctant to even put more time into trying to use Acrobat 9 if I don't know for certain it's going to work, given the time I will likely have to spend ion inputting bookmarks manually.  Unfortunately, after downloading Acrobat 9 I trashed all the pdfs I'd made with Acrobat 7 to avoid confusion, so I'll even have to re-do those.  Grrrrrrrrr!  Any insights welcome.

The problem is also with Acrobat Help, which does not say anything about this issue in the Help info for either Acrobat 7 or 9.  Had that info been in the Acrobat 7 Help text I would not have bothered to purchase the upgrade!!!!!!  I checked Help in both versions and all it says is that if the create "new bookmark from structure" option is unavailable, your document does not contain structure, or something to that effect.  Since my documents do contain structure, I had to assume from that Help text that there was some other problem.
In short, there was no warning about this in either Help, nor in the system requirements info on the store page.  This appears to be false advertising to me.  You can see how I was fooled into purchasing the upgrade at a time when I was least able to afford it and now I'm not even using it.  I feel angry with Adobe -- not good customer relations.  Note that I live not far from their headquarters in Silicon Valley -- now I'll have to wince when I go past their headquarters in San Jose.  You think I won't forget this little sting at the end of a long doctoral process?  Makes me think again about those cheap alternatives to Creative Suite that I get notices about from Smith Micro.
