3D pie chart in a report

Hi all,
I need to add a 3D pie chart in a report, and I don´t find it in the Chart Wizard. Anyone knows if is it possible to do this?

Interactive Reporting - Dragging a Pie Chart into a Report

I have a report that contains about 5 charts at the end of all the tables containing data (the charts are in the report footer). I have created a new pie chart and want to drag it into the report footer as well. When I drag it in, it goes at the very beginning of the report footer. I have tried dragging it down and it seems to only want to stay on that very first page of the report footer. I am not able to move it onto a different page. How do I make this work? What I'd really like to do is add a new page in the middle of the charts and put this new chart on that new page ... but i couldn't figure out how to do that, so I was just going to drag the new chart to the very bottom of the other charts.

I had a case where I needed "extra" Report Footers. To do this I created bogus Report Group Columns in my results section with a constant value, same for all rows.
I then used this as a Report Group in the Report Section. I turned off the Group Header and Turned On the Group Footer with a Page Break Before or After. If you have other Report Groups then you would need to make the Bogus Report Group Column before any of your business report groups.

SVG Pie Chart drill down report

I have created a svg pie chart report within a chart region. the chart contains url drill down.
The urls work fine but it opens the result from the url in the same chart region on the same page.
How can I get it to open on either a new page altogether or on another region on the same page.

Pie Chart in Reports 9i

Hi,
I am displaying a pie chart in my report. Now the problem I am facing is that the labels are overlapping on the chart, while I want them to be outside of the chart.
I tried fiddling with the xml code. Added <Slice labelposition= "LP_OUTSIDE_WITH_FEELER"> but it didn't help.
Can somebody suggest a solution for this ?
Also I would be obliged if some body can point me where i can get the documentation for graph.dtd.

PIE chart in Oracle 9i Reports

Hi,
I'm using Orcle 9i Report builder to create reports.I'm creating web-source and saving it as JSP.Now I want to add 'PIE' charts into my reports.But, when I'm using the 'Graph' option in 'Insert' menu,it's not creating the 'PIE chart' properly.Pls anybody help me know how can I create 'PIE chart'

Hi Rajesh,
Suppose you want to show salaries of a few employees in a Pie Chart (this is just a dummy graph to explain the steps - you can build more meaningful graphs). So you want that each employee's salary should be shown as a percentage of the total. Follow these steps:
1. Use the query - Select empno, sal from emp
2. Go to the web layout, place your curson in the rw:dataArea tags, and choose Insert > Graph
3. In the Graph wizard, choose Pie Chart, select empno in X-axis, and sal in the Y-axis
4. In the "Layout" step, drag "sal" from groups into the slices field
5. Fill in the titles, etc, and click finish.
Click "Run to Web" in the builder, and you should see the pie chart in the web page.

Instead of displaying "Total" at the bottom of my pie chart legend I am getting the following text: "_e_Total:1_n_pseudoloc_"

I have the same problem with my pie chart. My report was fine before I did my update to CRVS2010 Beta 2. I was using crystal report 11.5.
My report is really simple. I have a resume chart that you can drilldown. Each drilldown show the same chart for the selected
item.
I'm using Windows 7 Professionnel 64 bit in french (canada version).

Pie Chart Color Scheme

I have a report written in Crystal Reports XI that has a pie chart in the Report Header displaying counts of activity by "reason code" for a selected time period. The users have noticed that, when they run the report for different time periods, the same "reason" has a different color on each report. It seems that the default is to sequence colors based on volume (size of 'pie wedge').
They would like to have the colors appear linked to Reason Code rather than to volume. Is there a way to change the pie chart color scheme so that it is coded by "description" not by "count"?

As you are selecting 'Color Highlight' for different Pie Slices, "For all records" option shouldn't be selected.
It should be "On Change of".
Then obviously you will see the colors specified in 'Color Hghlight' tab.

If the number of levels are less(say 3 or 4) , create individual report for each level and use Navigate option instead of default drill.
*This is not a recommended solution if you have huge number of hierarchy levels.

Pie-chart drill-down

Hi,
I have created a pie chart on my report. I want it so that the user can double click on a segment of the pie and drill-down to view some detailed logs. The logs just being a list of details from the records like "name" "age" etc.
I have read some stuff on subreports and linking, but im not quite sure wether this is the way to do this or if there is an easierway without all that subreport linking malarchy.
Is there an easier way? and if so, could you please provide me with a step-by-step as im fairly new to this whole crystal reports thingamajig. Thanks

You can get a drill down on your pie chart once you apply groups in your report and create chart based on those groups.
For example: I create a report to display the last year sales for all the cities in a country. I want a drill down onmy pie chart for the cities. I do the below:
1. I create two groups on Contry and City.
2. Now I create a pie chart. In Data tab of Chart expert select the group for City in On change of, and show value Last year sales.
3.Place the chart on group header of Country group.
4. Refresh the report, now I would get the drill down for the cities for every country in the Pie chart.

You can try this .
1)
Add 2 Pie charts in your Report (Align top
& Left Same Size ) .
Set Background Color Transparency 0%
Set Data Value Presentation value for 1 st (Outside)
Percent for 2nd (Inside)
Make size of the pie as per the value presentation .

3D pie chart - Sides are incomplete

I've pie chart in a report.
I could modify 3D look changing properties e.g. depthAngle, depthRadius, pieDepth, pieTilt. But sides of 3D pie are not coming complete in preview.
Can anyone please help on this issue.

I think u r using one data Field and One category Field in the Graph.
Then We have use Code Option

I've done everything listed here and in the link provided, but I get an error that reads, "There is an error on line 0 of custom code: [BC30201] Expression expected." I'm using SSRS 2005.

It seems that you are using Dundas Chart Control for SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services not the Dundas Chart Control 2005 that Microsoft has purchased.
Microsoft purchased the license to use Dundas Chart Control 2005 in Reporting Services 2008 and above. Therefore the supported upgrade is from Reporting Services 2005 Dundas Charts to SSRS 2008 (R2) and SSRS 2012 Charts.
If you are using a particular component released by Dundas for SSRS 2008 R2, you won’t be able to upgrade Reporting Services 2008 R2 Reports with Dundas Charts to Reporting Services 2012 Charts.
To confirm this, please check the details of this assembly “DundasRSChart.dll” located under the /Report Server/bin directory.
If the Product Name is “Dundas Chart for Reporting Services 2008 R2”, it indicates that this is a new version of Dundas Chart for SSRS 2008 R2 (i.e. a third party control). If the Product Name is “Microsoft SQL Server”, it indicates that this is the version
that Microsoft has purchased.
In this condition, you have to migrate the DundasRSChart.dll to the SSRS 2012 instance and reference it as the custom assembly in the reports. Please make sure to rename the DLL file so that it won’t replace the native DundasRSChart.dll installed by SQL
Server 2012.
