3D printing - How do you create a dual colored print?

I have a FlashForge 3D printer, its a dual extruder, and I have some designs that I want to print in two colors. Is there a way to create this in PS?

Strata provides 3D-plug-ins for Photoshop; though I dont know about the prices.
Others may be able to point You to some cheaper or even free applications.
Or You could just search the net for free 3D models.

I've been creating them in black and white in CS6, then converting to vector via image trace since that's the only way to make them a perfect circular vector that I've found, but how do you convert it to a color afterward? It won't let me simply change the fill color, nor will it let me select the black dots with the white arrow. I had also selected "ignore white" while image tracing so it had a transparent background. Help! I'd really like an orange halftone vector, and when I make it a color from the start it creates it out of multiple colors. I want it to be a solid color without any circles overlapping. Hmmnnn...JET, I think you're confusing two posters as one. You pulled info from my post and Mike Gondek's and your post seems to imply we are one and the same.
I wrote "It's a little convoluted but it works!" which you criticize as pointlessly convoluted and failing to deliver vectors. It does deliver a vector solution, my process does not include rasterizing the art at all, at least not until final output. In addition to the criticism, you offer no solutions.
I wrote " I created a halftone pattern on an object with a white to black gradient..." which you attacked as incorrect, saying I started with a gradient filled path. No. That was Mike Gondek who used a gradient filled spiral path. I started with an ellipse, filled with a gradient, as I stated. Again, not sure why the need to blast away here, but you did, incorrectly.
I wrote "...using the Effects>Pixelate>Color Halftone option." which you blasted as being a raster effect. Okay, but I also told the original poster they could increase the resolution to clear up the pixelated appearance. And since it is a live effect, It offers a lot of flexibilty, right up to the point of otput. Unless the OP is creating svg files for web, I'm not sure what your beef is with using a raster effect. You didn't say. You didn't offer an alternative solution here either.
I used the halftone to create a transparency mask. You insist that it is now a raster image. No, it's not. It's still a vector with a live effect and can be continually edited and modified. And when I raise the raster effects resolution to 1200 or 2400 I see pretty nice edges, on perfectly round halftone dots, in a spot color, which is, I think, what the OP was looking for.
You're the 3rd person to jump on me since I've returned to the forums. It feels a bit like the regular posters here don't like to share the sandbox. I wouldn't mind if your criticisms were written to help the original poster, or shed some new insight into the problem, or even respectfully point out potential problems with the technique being offered. But there is none of that here.
I think the original poster can use the technique I offered to get the visual look they are after. At the very least my post was an honest attempt to provide a solution, be helpful, and contribute to the forums community. Can you say the same of your post?

You can make a PDF file out of you notes and handouts but using the Adobe PDF printer.
Open your PowerPoint Document then go to “File” “Print”
Select ‘Adobe PDF” Printer
Under slides, select which way you want to print. Note it will not print to a printer but to a PDF file.
After then go into printer Properties and Setup PDF properties, do the following: (see second image below)
Default: PDF/A 1-b
Adobe Security: none (change as needed)
Adobe Output folder: Prompt for Adobe file name
Adobe Page size: Letter (change as needed)
Check the following check boxes
View Adobe PDf Results,
Add Document Information,
Rely on system fonts only,
Delete Log files for successful jobs.
Select OK
A pop will ask you where you want to save the document. The file extension should be PDF. After giving the file name select okay and the file should popup as a PDF. Down side is if you want to speaker notes included then you will have to do another file, like wise with just screen shots then combine into one PDF document.
I used Acrobat IX Pro. So to do this you need Acrobat IX or X Pro.

Do you want the pdf available to view or just for copying from the disk to a computer for viewing.
To view a PDF you can do a Print ➙ PDF ➙ Save PDF to iPhoto which will create a jpg of each page of the pdf and save it to iPhoto. From there you can send the PDF jpegs to iDVD to make a slideshow of the pages. It's the same principle as used in this tutorial: 06 - Creating an iDVD Slideshow From an iPhoto Book.
If you don't have the Safe to iPhoto workflow in your HD/Library/PDF Services folder you can download it from Toad's Cellar.

You have 2 potential solutions in your case :
1- Sub-class TextNullable class of Framework and add your methods in the
sub-class.
This is the way Domain class work. Only Nullable classes are sub-classable.
This is usefull for Data Dictionary.
The code will be located in any partition that uses or references the supplier
plan.
2- Put your add on code on a specific class and instanciate it in your user
classes (client or server).
You could also use interface for a better conception if needed. The code will
also be in any partition that uses or references the supplier plan where your
add on class is located.
If you don't want that code to be on each partition, you could use libraries :
configure as library the utility plan where is your add-on class.

Hi Richard,
Your question about "utility classes" brings up a number of issues, all of
which are important to long-term success with Forte.
There is no such thing as a static method (method that is associated with a
class but without an implicit object reference - this/self/me "pointer") in
TOOL, nor is there such thing as a global method (method not associated
with a class at all). This is in contrast to C++, which has both, and
Java, which has static methods, but not global classes. Frequently, Forte
developers will write code like this:
result, num : double;
// get initial value for num....
tmpDoubleData : DoubleData = new;
tmpDoubleData.DoubleValue = num;
result = tmpDoubleData.Sqrt().DoubleValue;
tmpDoubleData = NIL; // send a hint to the garbage collector
in places where a C++ programmer would write:
double result, num;
// get initial value for num....
result = Math::Sqrt(num);
or a Java programmer would write:
double result, num;
// get initial value for num....
result = Math.sqrt(num);
The result of this is that you end up allocating an extra object now and
then. In practice, this is not a big deal memory-wise. If you have a
server that is getting a lot of hits, or if you are doing some intense
processing, then you could pre-allocate and reuse the data object. Note
that optimization has its own issues, so you should start by allocating
only when you need the object.
If you are looking for a StringUtil class, then you will want to use an
instance of TextData or TextNullable. If you are looking to add methods,
you could subclass from TextNullable, and add methods. Note that you will
still have to instantiate an object and call methods on that object.
The next issue you raise is where the object resides. As long as you do
not have an anchored object, you will always have a copy of an object on a
partition. If you do not pass the object in a call to another partition,
the object never leaves. If you pass the object to another partition, then
the other partition will have its own copy of the object. This means that
the client and the server will have their own copies, which is the effect
you are looking for.
Some developers new to Forte will try to get around the lack of global
methods in TOOL by creating a user-visible service object and then calling
methods on it. If you have a general utility, like string handling, this
is a bad idea, since a service object can reside only on a single
partition.
Summary:
* You may find everything you want in TextData.
* Unless you anchor the object, the instance will reside where you
intuitively expect it.
* To patch over the lack of static methods in TOOL, simply allocate an
instance when required.

We are creating templated PDF's for our new web to print software. How do you create the fillable pdf so that when ripped it will separte the pms colors? Our designers say that the fillable text can only be in black and can't be in a pms color?

I see. It's true that form fields do not support spot colors. I know you can flatten form fields, converting the field text to regular text, and embed the fonts using Preflight. What I don't know is if you can then convert the font color to spot (maybe using Advanced > Print Production > Convert Colors), but it's worth looking into.

Check the scanner manufacturer's website for the most recent / updated drivers and install same.
Have Acrobat XI installed.
While Acrobat XI can make use of Windows WIA drivers Acrobat "likes" TWAIN drivers best.
So, if available, have the latest-greatest TWAIN.
Acrobat can communicate with the scanner via the scanner software.
An alternative --
Scan directly to TIFF. Then use Acrobat to create PDF from the TIFF.
Some scanners come with software to output to PDF directly; if present you could use that.

If you go to Settings > Notes > Default Account you will see "On My iPhone" as the default account and the only choice if you have not enabled syncing Notes in Settings >iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. If you have enabled syncing you can still select "On My iPhone" as the default account. When you are in the Notes app you won't see any accounts listed if you have not enabled syncing because they are all in the On My iPhone account and that is the only place possible. It is not a folder that you create.

First, let's make it easier to swap between accounts. In the Accounts pane of System Preferences click on the Login Options (after unlocking the pane). Enable fast user switching. This will put a new menu in the top right of the screen. You can then swap to the other account without having to log out of the current one.
Log into the original account. Select the folder you want access from the other account and choose Get Info from the file menu. There is a section called Sharing & Permissions. You will need to click on the padlock to make changes. Click on the + to add permissions for the other user account by selecting the user account from list that appears. Set the permission for that account to read only. Once you have it listed then choose the "Apply to enclosed items" from the gear menu below the list. This should give you access from the other account to that folder and any folders contained in it.
For iTunes you will want to do this to the Music folder, giving you access to the files below. From within iTunes you can select Add to Library from the file menu, and then select the music from the other account to that account's iTunes library. Once you have set up the new library whoever's library is the original can clean up the library to remove any music they don't want (now that it's in the new account).

Adobe Send is Adobe's current solution for sending large files. (It's Adobe SendNow that's retiring soon.) Can you tell us what trouble you were running into using Adobe Send?
There isn't a special version of Zip files for Acrobat, but you could reduce the PDF file size if you have Acrobat. Or, in Windows, you can create a Zip file by choosing File > Send to > Compressed (Zipped) Folder.
