3d rage headset not recharging with pulsing blue light

Hi folks - my Tactic 3d rage wireless was working fine and then it dropped off with an ugly buzzing sound. It now has a pulsing blue light. I've tried recharging it through the USB from my desktop and using a mains charger. I've tried using different USB cables. Pressing and holding the power button does nothing. I haven't updated the firmware.
Is it dead?

I opened my headset ( Right ear ) and unplugged the battery for a couple of seconds, Fixed the issue. It's not a easy task to do so without cracking the plastic.

  • Plantronics Voyager Pro headset NOT compatible with 3GS

I've been having terrible problems with my Plantronics Voyager pro all singing and all dancing bluetooth headset and my 3GS.
I've tried 2 units to no avail and have a long case log with Plantronics support.
Apparently the inbuilt noise cancelling "intelligence" in the headset is conflicting with the iPhone noise cancelling electronics, producing a terrible user experience and is not just specific to Plantronics headsets, but all those that rely on headset noise-cancelling (like the Jawbone etc..)
Anyway, I notice that Plantronics have now changed their website to advise that the Voyager Pro is NOT compatible with the 3GS (in fact is seems like none of the noise-cancelling ones are)
This seems like a schoolboy error on Apple's part and speaking to Plantronics, they have no idea if and when a resolution is likely to be forthcoming!

I wish I had known this a few months ago. I had an original iPhone using a Plantronics Voyager 510. Everyone always said it was like I was in the same room talking to them. I bought a new 3Gs, and a Plantronics Voyager Pro. I seem to be able to hear just fine, but people I talk to keep having me repeat everything. Most people say it sounds like I'm talking to them from inside a hole somewhere. I got my headset last July. I switched back to my old bluetooth headset, it didn't resolve the problem, so I know it wasn't the Voyager Pro. I thought it might be interference from the metal cover I had bought from AT&T to protect the iPhone, and removing the cover seemed to give people better clarity, but they still complain. Now for long conversations I've had to return to using a corded headset.

  • Bluetooth headset not working with 2008 Macbook!

    Hello,
I just got a new Macbook and love it!
But, the other day I tried out my Bluetooth headset and the A2DP headphone choice works great.
But when I change it to headset for use with skype I can hear the person but all they hear is weird repeating static. I listened to myself with skype call testing service and it sounds bad. I looked in preferences of sound and most of the sound bars are purple and moving as if
i am yelling into the microphone. I know it is not the headset for it works with my cellphone and eMac.
Anything I do to the headset doesn't solve this or even brake the pattern in the purple bars.
I turned off the headset when it was showing these bars and they kept going.
It is not the headset. The Macbook is capable of receiving files through Bluetooth so it is not the input of Bluetooth that is the problem.
Also, when I first started the microphone of the headset it was clear then after a couple seconds it started to drown out my voice then it was gone, replaced by shhhhhhchhh.
My headset is a Plantronics 590E.
    Thanks,
    MIBM

    Yes, thank you.
I was recently on Vacation and scheduled a Genius Bar visit and they tested my headset with another Macbook and same thing. I am very mad at Apple after finding this out. I had a feeling it was drivers or something but obviously could not test seeing as I only have one computer running Leopard, eMac runs Tiger. I actually have a third party bluetooth dongle working with my eMac. It is an Iogear dongle and on the box it says all features work with Mac and then I plugged it in and was unable to turn on/off and couldn't use headsets, then after hours of research I found a forum and downloaded a Broadcom driver and voila! it worked. That is also why I wasn't sure if it was a driver problem or hardware.
If anyone needs a tutorial and the driver for a broadcom bluetooth USB dongle I would be happy to help.
    Thanks,
    MIBM

  • Bluetooth headset not pairing with my n73

my stereo bluetooth headset arrived yesterday, charged it for the recommended initial eight hours. now this morning i am trying to pair it with my n73 music edition but my phone is not seeing it. how can i fix this. this is really frustrating, latest firmware is installed so that means a2dp is suppose to be added, so why doesn't it work.
    everything happens for a reason
check out my blog @ http://mycellife.blogspot.com/

ok. got it working. i wasn't setting pairing mode on the headset properly. well its working as of now and the sound quality is ok, missing the deepness of the base i was getting with the wired headset it came with, but its much louder, maybe too loud cause the volume level was almost at its lowest setting.
its one from sonyericsson by the way.

  • Will not pare with new blue tooth speak  just keeps seraching

I have tried several time to pare my ipod with a blue tooth speak.   Blu tooth is on the on position But the device is always searching.

    - Reset the BT speaker. How yo do that depends upon the speaker-
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. All your wifi and bluetooth preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected. You will have to rejoin wifi networks and repair BT devices

  • ZMP: no pulsing blue light, no recognition, new batter

    Hi,
I have a Zen MP, worked at one time. Battery issues, so I bought a new Creative Battery. Don't remember if it ever worked with new battery (it may have, briefly). When I plug in the USB (not a hub, and have tried all USB ports on lap top and PC, all 2.0) I get the creative logo, and a blue light, but it does not pulsate. Neither computer (running full WMP) seems to recognize the player. When I go into system/device manager, I do not see "portable devices" or MTP or anysuch thing to try the uninstall/install that some have recommended.
Contacted C. Labs and at first they say "here are your choices if you have a warranty left", etc, which I don't. After going to their website again and troubleshooting, it eventually led me to an email support, which I used again, not hoping for much help. The gentlemen this time offered that it sounded like a harddri've problem and there is no solution and I am out of luck. Is this true, that my 240 dollars was used for about 2 months and now I have a piece of junk?
Am I missing something vital or am I really up a creek?

The stats look normal as if your internet is ok
you can either try factory reset of your existing hub or connect one of the spare hubs and see if that helps

  • Nokia 6300 can not swich on, only blue lights on t...

    Hello,
I have left my nokia 6300 in the rain. After that I couldn't turn on my mobile. I left the phone to dry for a couple of weeks. It does nothing when you put it in the charger. When I put in my SIM-card, the lights on the side of the phone turn blue, but the phone doesn't swich on. The blue lights stay blue for approximately 2 minutes, then they slowly fade out. What does this mean?
    Greets,
    Peter

the only thing you can do in your situation is to take your phone to your local Nokia Care Centre for them to take a look at.

  • Help!  2 Good Batties not Recharging with 2 Different Adapters!!!

I have a G4 17" Powerbook I purchased a little over a year ago. Suddenly the adapter and the battery don't seem to be interacting. I've purchased another adapter and another battery to no avail. The battery drains at the normal rate and then dies, even though the charger is plugged into it over night and lit up.
I've recently messed with the energy settings so that the power would not shut off while recharging my Nano, but have tried to return everything to normal with no change in this odd behavior.
    Would appreciate any responce.

    UPDATE
Turns out that both laptops now have same issue.  Why it did not cause problem before is very strange.  Almost as if repeated plug-ins caused hardware degradation???  This so frustrating.
    Updated summary:
    1) Both laptops will shutdown when USB-Ethernet adapters plugged into USB3 port
    2) Both adapters work fine in the USB2 port of both laptops
    3) Other devices (wireless mouse, memory stick) work just fine in USB3 of both laptops
    4) Installed latest driver for USB-Ethernet adapter and made no difference
What could possibly be causing this?  As both laptops now do same thing, seems unlikely to be laptop hardware issue, but maybe still driver (software) related?  Or could it be both adapters are bad (that seems unlikely)?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • Bluetooth headset not working with flash files

Just got a Plantronics Voyager 510 bluetooth headset. Works just fine, except when viewing clips at YouTube. Not only is there no sound, the clip freezes after a few seconds. I believe they are Adobe Flash. Now this is on my new late 2007 MacBook with Leopard.
So I figure I'll try the headset on my Intel 1.66 Mac Mine with Tiger 10.4.10. Same thing
    Any ideas.

Apparently Apple cheaped out on the Bluetooth support in the Tiger OS X (or an official profile wasn't even available)....something to do with not having Stereo Headset support.
It is possible to circumvent it: http://blog.david.connolly.name/2007/06/stereo-bluetooth-profile-a2dp-on-mac-os. html However, as indicated on the top of that topic - it is outdated (and IMO too much effort).
In a nutshell - you're being quietly coaxed in to buying Leopard OS X - which does have the Stereo Bluetooth profile installed.
What I don't get is why Apple can't release to us a nice little patch for Tiger to give us the full use of our Bluetooth hardwares.

  • Bose Mobile on ear headset not compatible with 3GS-hear no send

Just a heads up: have Bose Mobile on ear headset with in line microphone.
Was compatible with Apple 3G but not new 3GS. Probably a simple fix.
Sound in fine; just cuts out all the time or totally no transmit. Had Bose call me several times and same with other calls. At best very hard to hear reported on other end to no audio at all. Hope Bose/Apple can fix near future.

any news on developments here? Have just received my Bose on ear headset and get sound ok but receivers get choppy sound from me...really cannot use...have a 3GS 32GB

  • Wired Headsets not working with Galaxy S5

I have a number of wired 2.5mm headsets that I use with other Android based smart phones (Droid 4 most recently). I use multiple 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapters, and they have all working fine for all of them.
When I try to use any of my wired headsets + adapters with my Samsung Galaxy S5 I hear the audio from the headset, but other people don't hear my voice from the headset. When I connect the headset it shows as "earphones" everytime, and indeed does work fine as a earphone, but the microphone does not work. I'm wondering if there is a setting I need to change so the S5 sees my wired headset as a device with a microphone and not just headphones.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?

I found out that the wiring of the contacts is different for some phones.  If the earbuds say compatible with iPhone then the tip/ring/sleeve contacts are swapped in relation to the Galaxy S5's contacts.  See: Phone connector (audio) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

How can I get the E71 to recognize/pair with Blue-Ant earpiece (bluetooth connection). It will not detect it when attempting to pair.

The new 8.0.2 update DID NOT FIX THIS ISSUE AT ALL. After you power off and on with the phone, same issue as the 8.0, all 3 of my cars lost Bluetooth connection and shows no signal at all.  Good job Apple, what a lousy update you guys did.
