3D Tools missing Photoshop CS6 Extended
Hi gang
I'm having the no 3D Tools problem on my laptop. I have the latest CS6 update installed. I'm thinking it's some video driver or card issue. Any help is much appriciated

There is the issue: 256 MB is not enough for 3D. You need at least 512MB for the current version of Photoshop CS6 (13.1)

Missing 3d tools in Photoshop CS6 extended
Hi everyone, I thought that I would seek help here before I endure the agony of Adobe technical help. I just installed the upgrade to CS6 Design and Web Premium yesterday. Received my email for the free upgrade yesterday morning and all went fine for the download and install as far as I can tell.
Both the flash screen as well as the about Photoshop screen show CS6 extended, yet I have no 3D tools at all, either in the menu or toolbar. This is the case both with my laptop and desktop.
I have the latest drivers for my video cards and "use graphic processor" is checked in preferences. Am I just being stupid and missing something (entirely possible), or does anyone had a similar problem or any suggestions.

4 gigs RAM
425 gigs free on scratch disk

Photoshop cs6 extended missing 3D button
just upgraded to photoshop cs6 extended and seem to be missing the "3D" button across the top toolbar. when the application loads up it says c36 extended, so maybe i did something wrong during install?

Check the 3d setting in the preferences and see if they are grayed out as well.

Reset the preferences (holding down the 3 modifier keys at boot of photoshop)
Update your video card driver

I can no longer use 3D commands in Photoshop CS6 Extended
I have Photoshop CS6 Extended (Ver 13.0.1x64). My desktop is Windows 7 64 Home premium; and Video card is: AMD Radeon HD 5570. The drivers and operating system is updated.
I have been using simple 3D functions like "New 3D extrusion from..." from time to time without any problems until recently. For unknown reasons now when I try to invoke any 3D command, I get the following message: " Could not complete the "New 3D extrusion from selected layer command because of a program error." This ,message gets repeated for any 3D command.
I checked out 3D functionality in Photoshop CS6 32 bit; and Photoshop CS5.5 Extended. Same problem. However, I can access and use all 3D functions in Illustrator CS6. Clearly, therefore, the video card is not the problem. It looks like one of the recent software updates from Adobe must have caused this problem.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Could not complete your request because of a program error.
When starting Photoshop CS6 I get this error message, Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Could not complete your request because of a program error (-- OK --). This happens on the main screen immediately. Once I click OK the program seems to be alright. But some part of it, that I haven't discovered yet, may not function properly.
I am running Windows7 Professional Service Pack 1 64 bit with Intel i7-4770k CPU and 16 GIG Ram.
This problem just started recently, everything has been fine up till now. I must have done something when trying to defragment the Registry or get rid of temp files.
I have uninstalled Photoshop CS6 and reinstalled it with no effect. I have tried to run Photoshop CS6 32 bit in Safe Mode, but it will not run. It hangs up on Reading Memory.
Is there any kind log file that would tell me what is causing this to occur?
Does anyone know what might cause this?

J. J. PattersonDid you reset your Preferences and Photoshop tools. Photoshop Preferences are not removed with an un-install and an Install does not install preferences. Preferences are created for a user id when a user ID start Photoshop and there are no preferences for the user ID.

I am running a TRIAL VERSION of Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended on MAC and Bridge does not open. It did open when I first downloaded it - but now a black question mark is over the BR icon and it does not open up. Any ideas from anyone?

I just thought it was interesting and helpful to me to learn that the icon for Bridge does not appear anywhere. Not in Application Folder. Not in the Finders Directory Files. I see your point - if I could locate that icon - I'd be set by dragging it onto my DOCK and launching it from there.
So - I'm assuming I need to uninstall CS6. Please list all the steps for me to uninstall so that I don't miss any CS6 files.
When I search in FINDER for CS6 uninstall- I see two icons - red adobe "UNINSTALL ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6" (both files are identical) Under KIND they both say Alias - with two different dates they were last opened (in November - few minutes apart). Is that what I use to uninstall completely all the files related to PS CS6 Extended as well as Bridge?
Do I need to DEACTIVATE ANYTHING ANYWHERE?

I note on the forums - going a few years back - that there have been a lot of issues related to this same problem - even in other versions of the Creative Suite. Is Adobe doing anything to rectify this problem for us Photoshop CS Suite lovers or is all their focus just going into CC?

Photoshop CS6 Extended crashing when using Oil Paint filter
I replaced a standard hard drive with a new SSD drive and did a fresh install of Windows 7 and all of my programs. I made sure all Win 7 updates, program updates and drivers are current. The good news is Photoshop CS6 Extended loads much faster. The bad news is now Photoshop crashes when I attempt to use the Oil Paint filter. The only hardware change is the new SSD, I haven't changed any video devices and I never had any issues running the Oil Paint filter before I swapped out hard drives and did the software reinstallations. I've tried the OpenGL Drawing Mode in basic, normal and advanced, and still get crashes when attempting to use oil paint. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Installed TWAIN devices: NONECrash info helps, but it would seem that you just see the old "intel chips don't cut it" problem. Turn of the intel graphics unit in the driver or even in the BIOS/ EFI. Perhaps updating your storage/ SATA driver when installing the SSD simply has re-enabled it.

Photoshop CS6 Extended for Mac Failure to Install
I purchased the student addition for my iMac (10.8 version and plenty of space for it to be on my computer) of the Photoshop CS6 extended. When I go to my orders to download, you have to download the Akamai Download Manager 834 KB, which I did, and it opened up the download instructions from the Akamai net session interface. Then I went to download the actual product. Akamai Download Manager 1.01 GB, which I did and that puts the visual 'disc' image on my computer. Once I open that, I open the adobe Photoshop CS6 folder and it starts to download but stops and says
'We've encountered the following issues
Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem"
Well that's funny when you click on that, it's discontinued. When I go to the support section, it doesn't help. Nor does the Phone representatives actually help with any Creative Suite products.The online chat though it is within hours, they aren't helping either. I have tried the CC cleaner app, which did nothing to alleviate my problem, and even actually tried download CC to see if it had the old version of photoshop on there-which it does not. As well as accessing the 'hidden' user library files to see if I could override with an install log if in case I had a faulty code. Which I could not find/did not seem to appear to be one. ( Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC)
What can I do for this to work? Am I missing something? I really need photoshop and I don't want creative cloud. I'd rather shoot myself in the head. 3D Menu not displayed Photoshop CS6 Extended
Hi all,
I have just installed Photoshop CS6 Extended from adobe.com as the trial, but after installing it I don't see the 3D menu at the top.
I have tried reinstalling several times but still no 3D menu.
I have a ASUS GTX550Ti graphics card with 1gb of ram so I thought this would be sufficiunt.
Also running windows 7 64bit.
Any help appreciated.

PaulPeople report this from time to time. Adobe's response has been along the lines of "of course the trial will show you the 3D menu", ignoring the fact that a user is reporting that it doesn't.
Did you get the Photoshop trial software directly from Adobe.com?
It's not a problem with your hardware being insufficient, because if the GPU or OS/driver weren't up to the task the 3D menu would be there, just grayed-out. That you're not seeing it says that the installer has done something wrong and has set up the trial to run as the Standard edition somehow.
Unfortunately, no one has reported a sure way to make the Extended features show up in the trial so far, since mostly the problem has been dodged, but here's what I'd suggest.
Uninstall the trial, then run the Adobe Create Suite Cleaner Tool, then try a reinstall.
