3d turbo experience alerts

i have bought a msi g4mx 440-t card. i have installed the card carefully and checked the slotting repeatedly.
i have a asus cusl2-c motherboard and pentium 3 800 mhz processor and 256 mb sd ram. now when i install msi 3d turbo experience it shows me messesges from time to time like "core voltage is high 3.06 volt" or "i/o voltage is high 2.68 volt" etc . should i be alarmed or is it just a bluff by the software. also i got a score of 3737
in 3d mark 2001. is it ok for my machine. please let me know. thank you

thanks, I noticed that you have 305/660 next to your graphics card, is that your core clock and memory clock speeds, and if that's so do you have any special cooling to accomplish that, im always scared to over clock not to explode a 200 dollar graphics card or processer heh. know of any good sites that will help me with some information on over clocking msi cards and that such. Thanks again for your help Denis )

  • MSI NX6600GT-VTD128 & MSI "3D! Turbo Experience"

    Hi,
yesterday I bought a MSI NX6600GT-VTD128. The card is running fine. I also installed the MSI tool "3D! Turbo Experience". However, the tool does not show any relevant information: no voltage, no memory clock, no fan speed...

    Hi,
As most will probably agree, 3D turbo is not a very useful piece of software.  Your best bet is not to use it.  There are lots of 6600GT posts here that address the monitoring issues of that card.
For memory clock and OC'ing you can use the coolbit reg update.  You can find a good write-up in the stickies at the top of the forum.
    Good Luck,

  • Msi FX5600 VTDR128 + 3D!Turbo Experience Temperature issue

I bought a MSI FX5600 VTDR128 board, to use on a Abit VP6 board  - 2x PIII 933@133 FSB, 512 MB SDRAM 133 CL3, PSU AOPEN 300 W - installed MSI/Nvidia drivers 44.03 and 3D!Turbo Experience, first the one that came with the drivers and utilities CD, this one reporting erroneous memory and GPU speed (100 MHz and 54 MHz respectively). After that, downloaded and installed latest version of 3D!Turbo Experience, claiming support for FX boards. This  new software reported correctly the core and memory speeds on 2D mode 270/550 MHz, but on 3D mode 270/550 MHz keeps reporting 270/550 MHZ. The temperature and fan values only appeared the first time I ran the program, never showing up in the subsequent runs. The values for Fan/Temp were: 48 ºC/2700 RPM (ambient temp +/- 27 ºC) after playing GTA Vice City for 30 min, with the game still running.  After playing GTA Vice City for 1 hour, one sistem notification box (not from the HTML/Flash frontend) appeared notifying for unusual temperature - 255 ºC   8o . On the previous version of 3D!Turbo Experience a similar box showed up with 127 ºC. In either situations the HTML frontend kept reporting absolutely normal values (48 ºC/2700 RPM). The board is warm to touch (+/- 40 ºC), both the heatsink and the PCB. I find this very strange and i'm not sure if the notification box temp. value is correct - are 127 º C the upper limit of the temp. range (127=(2^7)-1)  on the previous software version and 255 (255=(2^8)-1) on the latest software version ?
The board does not crash when the box appears and keeps running steady as a rock, altough after that i closed the game for protection.
Anyway, I am terribly scared, considering those temperature values may represent a terrible overheating situation. Please HELP!!! . Thanks for your consideration.
    Regards.

    More problems playing 3D Games:

  • G4MX 440-T 3d turbo experience warnings!!!

i have bought a msi mx 440-t card. i have a asus cusl2-c motherboard with a pentium 3 processor. whenever i install the msi 3d turbo experience the msi live monitor gives me warning messages that "core temperature is unusual. it is now 3.06 volt." or "memory i/o voltage is unusual. it is 2.68 volt." but when i open the flah program the bars in a green region indicate voltages around 2.54 and 2.56 volts. my local dealer says that it is nothing and i should uninstall the software. is he correct or my card is malfuctioning. is the card getting heated and will be damaged or is it nothing to be afraid of?

FOR ONE THING ,try to delete the shortcut for 3 dturbo experiance.exe, and goto were you installed it,use the 3 dturbo.exe instead, you will find it in c:Program Files/msi/3dturbo,if you did a standard install.i see your board suports 4x agp,,,,,,3.0 volts is indicative of 2x agp,but it looks like you have your bios set to 4x right?
do you have the latest bios???? ?(

  • GeforceFX 5200 & 3D!Turbo Experience

Just got my hands on a lovely MSI GeforceFX 5200 128mb DDR 8911-20 which is really a MS-8907 acording to the board. The problem is I just can't seem to get 3D!Turbo Experience to monitor the fan speed and gpu temp it reports the CPU speed correctly but not the memory speed.
The MSI Website says the Card supports 3D!Turbo Experience but reading these forums I have begun to wonder. I have tried with the MSI Drivers and the latest Nvidia ones both with no joy. I have also done a Live Update and every peice of software is at the latest revision levels.
    Cheers

  • HELP 3D Turbo Experience

I have a problem, the program 3D TURBO EXPERIENCE it doesn't show the voltage, fan revolutions, neither voltage and temperature. I acquired a card of video FX5700LE-TD128 recently. HELPPPPPPPPPP ;-)

Hey don't sweat the "turbo experience" app, it's just a flash/shockwave piece of junk.  You can adjust the frequencies of the card directly on the MSI tabs, and if your motherboard didn't come with temp monitoring apps, you can probably use the motherboard manager program (although the guy stopped coding updates for it as of last month) at
    mbm.livewiredev.com
Although, sadly, my motherboard came out after he quit supporting mbm, so I can't say if it works with my setup... Even after installing fresh MSI drivers many times, like NovJoe suggested but for other reasons, the stupid thing never worked with my card.  Just uninstall it, and forget about it.
Or you can try contacting MSI's tech support about it...good luck with that...

  • ? about 3D! Turbo Experience readings

I recently noticed that the 3D! Turbo Experience monitor that game with my GF4Ti200-VTD8x  shows the GPU voltage as 1.7 even though in my motherboard (K7N2-L) BIOS settings the AGP Voltage is set to 1.5 volts.
Is this just a mis-reading of the AGP voltage, or does the video card need 1.7 volts instead of the 1.5 volts the motherboard defaults to?

Don't worry 3D!Turbo Experience has some really querky bad readings on my computer too. No need to fret if you are not overclocking anything or doing any voltage modifications.

  • MSI 3d Turbo Experience

Is MSI 3d Turbo Experience able to work on Windows XP and also is it able to work with Geforce FX 5600TD 256MB?

It appears my suspicions were partly correct.
Evidently there are versions of the GF4 that do not support Hardware Monitoring. If you find any discrepancies, please notify me by PM.

  • !3d turbo experience/ ti4200 GPU fan speed problems

I have recently bought MSI Ti4200 128MB DDR and have installed the 3d turbo software that came bundled with the card.
Although i have no real problems with the card that i can see, the software comes up with an abnormal condition alarm; saying that the GPU fan is running at a speed of about 1700rpm (the min alarm set point is 2000rpm)
    Has anyone had similar problems?
Is there any way of adjusting the fan speed or is it done automatically by the graphics card? ;(

    Haha..
I personally wouldn't really rely on 3D! Turbo Experience for fan speed readings. I have a MSI GeForce 3 Ti200 equipped with a tiny little fan which I doubt would do any serious cooling, and 3D!TE tells me that it is spinning at about 5000rpm. But other than that, the voltage stuff is correct I guess haha...

  • 3d Turbo Experience Problems

Ti4200 8x. I have the newest Nvidia driver and the newest 3d turbo yet everytime i open it up it says the web page is trying to close this window. If i hit yes and allow it to close I get an error message from IE and if I hit no and leave it open i get no info from the program at all. No temp, no card info, nothing. This program worked a while ago with my current setup but now i get nothing. I have seen the thread about another overclocking tool but i just want to see temps and basic card info. thanks for any suggestions.

    Re: the above
I have exactly same problem - 3D Turbo Experience page loads up and I immediately get 'The web page you are viewing is tying to close the page' message. The macromedia flash page works fine (with graphics and sound, just no card info in any of the panels)
I have tried various drivers (MSI CD/MSI update site) with clean installs and now have 52.16 forceware install (which does seem to giving the FX a big boost - hoorah!).
Also downloaded the 3d Turbo patch/update from MSI - alas no fix.
    Any help greatly appreciated...
Also - That 'Coolbits' overclock link seems great but doesn't show how to change temp/power - Are these not important to also change when overclocking?
edit: ok should have read all top-of-forum posts - so maybe will forget about 3D Turbo  - but still  - what about over heating etc if using Coolbits?

  • Why are the admins and mods avoiding the 3D!Turbo Experience issues?

Are they too ashamed of their broken utility?

Support for new video cards is always a work in progress, and that program is a bit outdated anyway, there are a multitude of other better, more competent utilities at your fingertips, provided the card has hardware monitoring in the first place.
Your question would be better served if you contacted MSI directly.
I'm with Deathstalker, most Power Users, and advanced users never even look at the software bundle, except for a game title that is worth playing. Most of the other stuff, is more marketing to inflate the bundle. They all do it. Some better than others, but they are all guilty of the same thing....it's called shovelware

  • What is this 3D! Turbo Experience program?

what is this program and what does it do?  I'm on a modem and was wondering if someone can explain what it's supposed to do before I download this 12MB program to try it out.
    thanks for the input

    Hi
I have an creative mx420, and i've just test it.
    it works!!!
So it's not only for onboard video.
you must have a flash player installed or you're pc freezes (mine did) (flash player is included in install package)
