3G data consumption vs. 4G data consumption

I have the HTC One M8 and since I often drop to 3G and 4G is pretty weak here anyway (Phoenix,AZ), I decided to keep it on 3G only since I hear 3G eats up less battery. I have had a few different devices since LTE was introduced here and regardless, 4G was weak or very inconsistent regardless of what the coverage map tells me. So far after a couple of days it seems to be paying off but was not sure if using 3G would use more or less data. I never exceed my cap or even come close, but am just curious if there was a difference in consumption. Thanks!

Hi krisbo84 - We want your brother to always get the most out of his device! I apologize for any confusion however the device does not have a specific setting to enable 3G data only. We are unable to support any 3rd party apps that may claim to allow this function. Data will be used the same way whether on 3G or 4G, the only reason it may seem like it is more is because you can do more at a faster pace. Web page loading or video streaming is going to use the same amount of data on either network.
Thank you,

  • Stock consumption or sale order issued data.

    Hai,
We are preparing ABAP report, Could any tell me from which table can i get the  stock consumption data or  stock sold data.
Apart from MSEG is there any other table. From MSLB, MSKA, MCHB i can get only the stock data but not the consumption
    Request to guide me accoridngly.
    Thanks.

    Harish,
Standard consumption data is stored in table S031. In this table, consumption is represented as usage data in field MGVBR (Total Usage Quantity), and WGVBR (Total Usage Value). Unplanned consumption is captured in field MUVBR (Quantity) and WUVBR (Value).

  • Material consumption posting date before MIGO

    Hi,
I have one issue related to Material Consumption....
If material received and posted on 25.12.2011 then how come system is allowing to consume ( Mtype 261) on 12.12.2011.  As material stock on 12.12.2011 is Zero.  We have not allowed Negative Stock Posting for Plant or in Material.
We are consuming material for Production Order with in CO11N with Mtype 261.  Material phisically received on 12.12.2011 and we used it but due to some problem we are not able to do MIGO.  Now problem solved and MIGO posted on 25.12.2011, so we entered confirmation of production order with posting date 12.12.2011 and system is allowed to consume the material and now account reports shows nigetive values on 12.12.2011.
can anybody focus on this issue......

SAP checks only if there is enough stock in the period (month) not at a certain day (for performance reasons)
Dont blame SAP, Why has your user posted the goods issue with an earlier date?
Usually they do it because it was the date the goods issue happened physically, I have rarely seen users that user changing posting dates to fraud the system.
was the GR eventually posted with  a wrong date?

  • How can we show the last consumption dates?

    Hi BEx  Gurus,
I have consumption dates and quantites for a material and a time interval in my query.
In the selection screen i specify a time interval. Then i execute query. I can see last consumption quantity due to calculated key figure(enhancement> last quantity due to calendar day(consumption date)).
Up to now eveything is OK. But i want to see also last consumption date. I tried formula variable with key "date", set it to the last . I drag it to the calculated key figure. Put it to the colums. But when i executed i saw that last date is the date that i specified in selection screen. It is not the date that last consumption is exist.
    Could you please help me?

    var letter:Number = Number(new Number(0x2714).toString(10));
                        trace(String.fromCharCode(letter))

If you cannot still cannot display it, just change the font family,
simple way is by copying the character into the text field, then change the font family until the character show up correctly, then just input that code i give to u to the script

  • Forecast Consumption in APO- No Data Available in Product View

    Hi Experts
I facing some problem in Forecast Consumption in APO. The APO system is connected to a R/3 system. So data relevant for Forecast consumption comes from R/3.
The allocation indicator in the requirement class assigned to the strategy maintained in the product master is set as " no consumption with customer requirement". and the same is transfered to APO.
I have the changed the settings in APO and here are the setting maintained in APO to enable Forecast Consumption.
    Product Master Setting:
    a) Consumption Mode: 2 ( forward and backward)
    b) Consumption Period: ( 30 days both backward and forward)
    c) Strategy Group : 20 and assignment mode is set to "Assign customer requirement to planning with final assembly" and category group has sales order - BM
    d) The check mode setting in the ATP tab is set to "Assign customer requirement to planning with final assembly"
I have a forecast for today's date and a sales order transferred from R/3 for the same date. But I do not see any data in the Forecast tab in the product view ( /sapapo/rrp3 Tcode)
Please let me know if I am missing any setting in APO. Or the SAles order carries the strategy information from R/3 and influencing the consumption any way.

    Hi,
What is your Forecast & Sales order quantity? If these are same then sales order consumed forecast, so you can not able to see in the rrp3.
Second thing try to increse the forecast quantity than sales order quantity & then check it.

  • How to ceate RefPlant:consumption data use BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA?

    Hi all.
I need create material master data like via MM01.
I call BAPI: BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA to create data.
I could NOT found the relevant fields in parameters list for ‘RefPlant:consumption’(Reference plant for consumption) in Forecasting View.
Is there any FM or BAPI to create this parameter?
I check the logic in program R_TRANSACT_PROD_VERS for tcode C223, it seems that update by openSQL.
    So confused
    Thanks and Regards.
    Ryan Chen.

    Hi,
Check the  BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA ,in the BAPI  is there a table parameter EXTENSIONIN ?
which you can use to pass the values for user defined fields to the BAPI..

  • Iphone 5s Data Consumption... is it Facebook...is it using cell data when on wifi?

I recently purchased a new I-phone 5s for my wife.  Since receiving the phone our data usage has gone up exponentially.  We used to have a 2GB plan and never went over, this month we've already gone over our new 4GB limit and still have 9 days left on the cycle.  So obviously I've been trying to figure out what is causing this new and dramatic upswing in data usage.  Our phone habits have not changed, she had an android smart phone before and used it just as much as the new I-phone.  Here's my top 2 suspects.
    1. Facebook  -  Under settings -> Cellular at the very bottom is a list of apps that you can grant or deny permission to use cellular data.  Under each app is the amount of cellular data that has been used by that app.  As you can see in this picture Facebook has used 4.9 GB, an insanely high amount.  I just read an article on the web that describes a feature of the Facebook app which preloads video so that they play more smoothly... every single video you come across whether you watch it or not is being downloaded.  There is a way to turn this off.  Under Settings find the Facebook app, open it and click Settings again.  Turn "Auto-play" to wi-fi only or just turn it off.
    2. Cellular Data being used even when phone is connected to Wi-fi -
Google it and you will find dozens of articles.  This is not speculation.  Apple has recognized it and calls it a glitch.  Verizon has apparently stated that customers affected by this glitch will not be billed for excess data consumption.  This was reported as far back as 2012 and Apple apparently put out a fix.  I can't say for certain my wife's phone has been using cell data while on wi-fi, but I suspect it may be.  My wife is home most of the time, she's a Nursing student, recently graduated, and so is usually at home studying and should be on the wi-fi network.  Yet her phone consumes 6 to 10 times more data than mine and I'm out of the house most of the time.  If this is true I haven't found a fix for it.  If anyone has I'd like to hear about it.

It looks like it 4.9 GB on the cellular data. Turn it off in the same screen of which you posted to prevent further data usage.

    Hi,
When a PO is created (say for Cost Center(s)), and if the material has a Material Master record, after the goods are received the same goes directly into Consumption account and not in stock account since it is meant for direct consumption by Cost Center(s). (Ex`s. of consumables are Office supplies).

  • SAP F&R - Transfer of Consumption Data from BI

    Hi All,
I am new to SAP Forecasting and replenishment module.
We are trying to load historical consumption data from SAP BW system to SAP Forecasting and replenishment system.
I have made below settings in SAP F & R:
In SAP F & R system, I did below settings in IMG:
Alternative Transfer of Consumption from BI - Activation: Manual Selection and Save
Alternative Transfer of Consumption from BI - Profile: Provided the name of source BW system, name of Infoprovider and other relevant fields.
Then I executed "Initial transfer of consumption from BI " from SAP Menu of F & R system for one particular site and material and calendar day range combination.
However after execution system replied with message:
"Nothing to process, BI not called".
Can anybody please advise me regarding where I am going wrong?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nilima Rodrigues

Solved it, this error for me occured because of a bit of oversight during customising (yeah you can call it stupidty in plain English). This is what I had to do:
    1. Please check the customising setting Forecasting & Replnishment -> Interfaces ->Alternative transfer of Consumption From BI - Profile.
    2. Select the default profile (or the profile assigned to the location whose products' consumption you are trying to load: Look into /fre/mass_loc to find this profile).
    3. Clikck on Details and Uncheck the "Do Not Transfer Consumption from BI" check box (there are only two check boxes and this is the first one. (common sense!!)
    4. Save
Try Initial Transfer again, it should work.

  • MAC BOOK AIR Unusual Data Consumption by Mountain Lion OS

    Hi,
I am using MAC Book Air and my OS is upgarded to Mountain Lion. After upgradation I am facing a problem of data consumption by my MAC all the time from my wifi modem, even without opening any brpwser or Mail. Kindly provide solution for this proble. Please note that all the settings in icloud is off.
    Regards,
    Desikachary

this never happened to Windows unless you have a virus , So is this normal for a Mac ?
It certainly can be. Free RAM is wasted RAM. Inactive RAM is as good as free RAM (it can and will be freed immediately when needed), but can be used to speed up your machine by holding cached data. As an example, suppose you quit Mail. Perhaps it was accidental (command-W is right next to command-Q), or perhaps you forgot to look at something you meant to look at, but in any event, you re-open Mail. It should pop back open very quickly, because everything is still cached in RAM.
So, in other words, don't worry about it. Even if you were having a problem, the source would be elsewhere.

    Hi,
Use MB5B report for the same, it will give you qty & values for overall receipts and issues for certain period or else refer report MC.2
Hope this will resolve your issue.

Please read the documentation of this program, and SAP note 200547.

  • Data migration for historical consumption

    Hello,
I would like to get information about data migration for historical consumption.
To make forecast, we have to load historical consumptions for each materrial (data in forcasting view / Consumption vals).
Do you know if this is possible with a batch / direct input or we should develop a programm for that ?
    Thanks,
    PYR
Edited by: Pierre-Yves Ryckwaert on Jul 17, 2008 11:21 AM

I am certain that I can load historical consumption using IDOC menthod for message MATMAS03
However I have never uploaded historical consumption in an extra step after the material master migration, but I guess this should work as well with this IDOC. Just make sure that you do not overwrite other data in material master.

  • BW data model and impacts to HANA memory consumption

    Hi All,
As I consider how to create BW models where HANA is the DB for a BW application, it makes sense moving the reporting target from Cubes to DSOs.  Now the next logical progression of thought is that the DSO should store the lowest granularity of data(document level).  So a consolidated data model that reports on cross functional data would combine sales, inventory and purchasing data all being stored at document level.  In this scenario:
Will a single report execution that requires data from all 3 DSOs use more memory vs the 3 DSOs aggregated say at site/day/material?Lower Granularity Data = Higher Memory Consumption per report execution
I'm thinking that more memory is required to aggregate the data in HANA before sending to BW.  Is aggregation still necessary to manage execution memory usage?
    Regards,
    Dae Jin

    Let  me rephrase.
I got an EarlyWatch that said my dimensions on one of cube were too big.  I ran SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS in SE38 in my development box and that confirmed it.
So, I redesigned the cube, reactivated it and reloaded it.  I then ran SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS again.  The cube doesn't even show up on it.  I suspect I have to trigger something in BW to make it populate for that cube.  How do I make that happen manually?
    Thanks.

  • The stock consumption as per expiry date and not as per availability date

    Hi All,
We had a requirement like below for our client:
While creating batch in ECC we put the expiry date for the batch as per the business requirement.
    Suppose batch creation date: 01.01.2011
If in case the SKU shelf life is 1 year the logical expiry date should be 31.12.2011.
But here user can put any expiry date (there is genuine business reasons behind that), so for one SKU for one Availability date of the batch we can have 2 expiry date.
Please see below one example for the same:
EXPIRY DATE                 SHELF LIFE                    AVL DATE
    batch-1        08.10.2012                       720                              19.10.2010
    batch-2        06.06.2012                       365                              12.06.2011
    batch-3        01.08.2012                       360                              03.08.2011
In the above case the SKU which is available first is having a long expiry period and vice versa.
As per standard SAP the stock which is available first will be consumed first. So as per standard SAP batch1 will be consumed first than batch-2 and than batch-3.
But our requirement is to consume stock based on the expiry date of the stock. So the stock which is going to expire first will be consumed first. In the above scenario the consumption should happen like batch-2 first than batch-3 and than batch-1.
The client requirement is to consume the stock as per the expiry date and not as per the Availability date (this is what happens in the usual scenario).
Could you please suggest how to incorporate this?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Mukesh Pandey

    Hi Mani,
    Thanks for your prompt reply.
I tried using the characteristic for Expiry date as the sort criteria as per sap note 377186.
After doing the changes in the structure as suggested by SAP note i was able to see this characteristics as one of the sorting criteria. But when I am trying to create pegging relationship between demand and supply element he message i am gtting is "MAX_SL_DATE" can not be used as a sorting criteria in a fix pegging.
    System is just ignoring it.
We have batch managed stock here and stock availability date is batch creation date. But since we are manually creating batch in ECC and cifing it to APO we are getting scenarios where for the same creation date of batches we have different expiry dates.
I hope i am clear now.
Could you please suggest any other option as sorting is not working .
    Regards,
    Mukesh Pandey
