3G decided to stop working

I have an iPhone 4S and randomly today the 3G stopped working. My iMessage wont work, as well as most my apps. I've done everything the troubleshooting page said and nothing is working. Please help, I need to be able to get on the internet for work.. seriously considering switching to an Android right now.

normally you have to hold down the lock and home buttons at the same time and it should be fine but obviously with a broken lock button there isnt much you can do. only thing i can think of is take it to an apple store but they will probably charge you for a new lock button. Otherwise there might be a way to open up the phone and trigger the lock button from the inside? hope this helps.

Time Capsule randomly decides to stop working

Ever since I upgraded my Time Capsule to firmware 7.4.1, it has been acting up. After days (sometimes weeks) of use, all of the sudden I am not connected to the internet anymore. My iMac is plugged directly into the TC and I still get no connection. Airport Utility doesn't even find the TC yet the status light is green. My other wireless devices (Dell Mini 9, iPhone) can find the network but when I try to connect, it times out. The only way to fix the problem is to unplug the TC from its power source and plug it back in. This all started months ago when the new firmware became available. I thought it may be the firmware so I reverted back to the previous version. I never had the disconnecting problem while using the old firmware. But after about a week of using the old firmware, my status light flashes orange telling me the firmware needs to be updated. This doesn't effect my ability to connect to the internet but it does get annoying seeing that light flash. The only way I have found to make the light stop flashing is to reset the TC in Airport Utility.
So I had been using the old firmware up until last week. I was getting tired of resetting the TC over and over so I decided to upgrade the firmware back to the most current version. Everything was working great for about a week until today. The old problem is still there. After some searching on these forums, it does seem that others are experiencing the same issues as i am, yet there doesn't seem to be a definite answer to the problem. Does anyone know why this is happening? Do you think I just have a bad TC? Somebody please help!!

I started having the exact same problem this morning. My Time Capsule has dropped off both the wired and wireless LANs twice in the past five hours. Each time when I open the Airport Utility is says the machine is reporting a problem. When I click continue, it cannot find any device (this is from a machine connected directly to the Time Capsule) or a network. When I go back to physically check the device (it's on a high shelf near the center of my house), both the Time Capsule and my DSL modem are showing green lights. If I unplug the Time Capsule, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in, it goes through a normal start-up cycle and then behaves as if nothing has happened. This is extremely annoying in a device that I've only had for 54 weeks.

DDE Poke decided to stop working - LabVIEW 8.5

I am using LabVIEW 8.5 to, among other things, communicate via DDE and a Brooks software package called SmartDDE with 6 Brooks 5850S mass-flow controllers. I have been able to get this communications link working, and incorporated it into my main control program. However, using the Advise function slowed down my loop too much, so I decided to set up a shared variable I/O server (using DSC). When I did this, DDE pokes started returning the following error: "Code: 14012 - DDE Poke: DMLERR_NOTPROCESSED". Even my base communications VI can no longer poke. Advise/request commands are still working, and SmartDDE appears to be functioning normally. Can anyone help?

Hi Matt,
What I've found is that you may see error -14012 if the spreadsheet that you want to write to is not open. As always, you must launch Microsoft Excel prior to using DDE. You may use DDE to open a spreadsheet, but a spreadsheet must be open before you may use the DDE Poke.vi to write data to it.
I'd also recommend checking this Developer Zone on DDE with Windows. Hope this helps!

Why have my Mail rules decided to stop working?

Emails are all going straight to my main inbox all of a sudden, rather than being filed away in their appropriate folders (per the Rules I've set up).
I've not changed any settings and can't see why the rules suddenly have decided to go on holiday!
Mail is being synched to my email host easymediasolutions/horde webmail which has never posed any problems...
Any suggestions?
p.s. When someone fills in my enquiry form on my website, for some reason it IS directed via the Rules for that email address, but this is the only way it happens.

Hard to know what could be the problem without knowing how those rules are defined, but what type of mail account is this (POP, IMAP)? If IMAP, what are your Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Keep copies of messages for offline viewing settings?
Do you have any Mail plug-ins? In the Finder, go to each of the following folders (if they exist). What do you see there?

~/Library/InputManagers/
~/Library/Mail/Bundles/
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the folder path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the folder path there.

Ok so after the "Black" update on my Lumia 928 the flash decides to stop working,

and yes I checked all settings and reset camera setting, ended up doing a hard reset and it started working again.... Only to go out again a couple days later, For a month and a half old phone I'm sure am dissapointed with this one so tell me Verizon, what should I do? Honestly I'd just like to swap for another one as it has other glitches too.... It doesnt have a scratch on it so please give me some guidance here!!!!

Thanks to all of you, they did send me a B Stock "Like New" replacement but the flash works like a champ and it has no more problems than the new one did, sometimes it acts like im typing when i'm not and I have to shut it off and back on, and sometimes I go to unlock it and the home keys at the bottom light up but the screen doesn't, just usually have to give it a min or two and it whips itself back into shape, honestly I've worked for both Verizon and AT&T and have been an android guy for years. I'm really banking on Verizon pushing Windows Phone 8.1 to the Lumia 928 soon because if has half the improvements as Windows 8.1 did for my laptop ill be a happy camper. Storm decided to stop working

Hey guys, today I was on my way to a different city, same state. Everything was working fine while on the road & when i put the phone to charge everything seemed fine... I was on twitter & msn, so data was working. Until i realized i couldnt text or call...
When I call any line I get a message that the phone isnt able to be authenticated, I've battery pulled & *22899'd (took 4 times to be sucessful) I also tried *22800 for primary tower but it said unsuccessful everytime. Currently in southwest area of Miami,FL. could this be network or my phone?
Edit: I didnt ever upgrade bb firmware, etc. I only deleted an app called Snapscreen

After reading your post, it seems that you disabled the voice capabilities when you dialed *22899 from your device to update the PRL. You can program your device and update the PRL by follow the directions below.
*228 is the OTA (over the air) number to dial for any voice enabled devices.
You need to dial *228 from your device and follow the options below:
Press 1, once connected, to program your device.
Once you've successfully programmed your device, dial *228 option 2 to update your PRL (preferred roaming list).
It's suggested that you dial *228, option 2, when traveling to a different area to update the PRL for your device.
*22899 is the OTA number for non voice-enabled devices (Data devices without voice capabilities).

Iphone decided to stop working

I read a text message, locked it and put it in my bag. A few minutes later, took it out and it was blank.I tried plugging it into the computer, holding Lock/Home key, nothing. Tried without the computer. Probably will take it to the apple store since nothing seems to be working.

My card suddenly stopped working

I have an audigy 2zs that just randomly decided to stop working on me, my computer froze and when i restarted it, the sound card and drivers were no where to be found. i tried to install it again and the creative software told me that i did not have a creative sound card. i have searched all over to try and find a way to get it to register that i do in fact have my card installed in the pci slot correctly but nothing has turned up yet, i havent even opened my pc up to move anything around so that can be ruled out already. i just want to be able to play my music again, thanks.

Thanks for all the advice everyone who replied, but i took a long shot last night and figured out the easiest way of doing it. I ended up using a system restore point from a day before it took effect in my system and it all worked out fine. So I didnt have to really mess around with it that much which is always a good thing. But thanks again for the help.

Networkmanager wireless stopped working [SOLVED]

I'm not sure what happened, but within the last week or two networkmanager decided to stop working with wireless networks - I use knetworkmanager-svn primarily so that's where I first noticed the problem. When trying to connect to my home WEP-protected network (haven't tried with non-WEP yet), it immediately flashes a message - and I mean flash, it's up for milliseconds - and then returns to the disconnected icon. With the gnome applet it similarly fails - the rotating blue icon and then the disconnected icon. I have no idea why these aren't working, although I assume it's something underneath the frontends as both of the applets fail. There hasn't been a recent update to networkmanager, so perhaps it's the latest wireless_tools package. I'll check on that and report the results.
As of 5/18/07, my system is i686 and completely up-to-date (non-testing).

Edit: As for the [SOLVED] tag - I'm not sure what I did, but after reordering my DAEMONS line and commencting everything in /etc/conf.d/wireless, it started working! Networkmanager is awfully finicky...

Try this: blacklist ath5k and load ath_pci
something like this.

Buttons suddenly stop working!

Hi all,
For some odd reason, out of nowhere, some of my buttons that I have created decide to stop working.
As an example, I have a button that takes the user to slide 56 when quit. The action i have on this button is "On Enter Jump to slide 56"
It has worked perfectly fine for days, now out of nowhere it has decided to stop working on all of my pages. I created a new button from scratch with the exact same action and no luck.
Would anybody be able to suggest why this is happening?

ok I was nearly ready to throw in the towel....
I had followed all those hints and tips apart from hiding in bulk as I have so many dependencies it's unreal!!
I bit the bullet and hid 200 slides between the slide that stopped working and the slide where it will not progress past... and guess what... the button worked!
so now I have to just narrow down 200 slides to the corrupt part or parts....
I would rather debug 10,000 lines of code at least I can step through that with breaks!!!

Airtunes stopped working suddenly

after 3 years my airtunes decided to stop working in our new apartment. I restarted it, set it back to factory settings and re-did the set-up, and still nothing. any ideas on the fix would be helpful!

My external display suddenly stopped working...help?!?

I have a 2009 MBP that I have been using in clamshell mode for the past 1.5 yrs. I've had it hooked up to a LG Flatron M2362D 23" HD monitor for about 6 months or so. I have never even had a hiccup until now. However, about 30 mins ago, my display decided to stop working. I have it hooked up with the mini-DVI. I tried switching to my 19" Dell monitor (which I know works) to check and see if it was just my display, however the problem persists. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

I wish I could help, but I'm here because I just began having the same problem. Everything worked great until a few days ago. The external monitor works great with my old Dell laptop, just not with my Macbook Pro. This is really frustrating.

X201 webcam stopped working

I've had this laptop for over a year with no problems. Just recently, the webcam decided to stop working, giving me a grey box as the picture in the camera app for windows 8 as well as skype or any other webcam software.
The camera has worked fine in the past with the windows 8 drivers (those are the recommended anyway), the webcam is detected in the device manager under imaging devices and is it enabled in the BIOS in the I/O settings.
Does anyone have a solution to this? Or do I have to call support?

Wired Remote stopped working.. PLEASE HEL

I got the zen a few months ago, with little problems thus far. Last month, my headphones decided to stop working. No big deal, I am very acti've so I figured I was just too rough with them. I bought some new phones, Sony in ear types. Recently, my Wired Remote has stopped working. It will work some days, and then stop working just like that.
I am just wondering if this has happened to anyone else out there.. and if so, how they solved their problem.

The wired remotes are notoriously badly made - you'll probably need to contact Creative support to get it replaced.
