3g just shows apple logo and timer
OK so need a bit of help here
My iphone just keeps showing the apple logo and timer
I have tried to restore it a number of times and it just goes back to the same thing. It also wont let me restore it from the back up and have to do it as a new phone been like this for a week.
Any ideas what else i can try
Oh dont know if this is important but the logo doesnt go dull even when i leave the phone only turns of after the battery has died.

Next step, try DFU Mode Restore.
Connect iPhone with USB cable to iTunes. Hold both Home and Power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, then let go of Power button, keep holding Home button until iTune detects iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually this take less than another 20 seconds. If the iPhone screen is black, this is DFU Mode. If anything is on the screen this is not DFU Mode. Keep trying the above process until you get DFU Mode (which is Recovery Mode with Black Screen). Then Restore the iPhone Firmware.

i have tried all these methods n above which i mentioned before....
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem

in the end i went ot market n paid him 1.94$ and he restored it to 6.1.5... and said apple has closed other ios updation except 6.1.5 ...but still thank u soo much learned some new stuff from u... -

- Try on another computer

It's not uncommon for it to not work the first time and sometimes, you have to try it a few times. Turn off your antivirus software and your firewall while you are trying to restore the iPad. Enable them again after you restore.
If that still won't work, post back with detailed information as to what exactly does happen as you go through the process. -

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.

For a 1G and 2G it can take hours. Make sure it is connected to a charging source otherwise the battery can fully drain before it is done. If still problem

What do you mean by "download"? Only updates are available as downloads, the System software has to be installed from a DVD. -

IPhone 4, ios6, keeps crashing, showing apple logo, and needing restore
I have a factory unlocked iPhone 4, iOS 6.0.1, which has recently started going into recovery mode repeatedly. It has so far done it twice, seemingly at random. Twice I have reached into my pocket to use it, to find it stuck at the "connect to iTunes" symbol. Both times I have indeed connected it to iTunes and I've gone through full restores. The first time I restored from a backup, and then the last time after it did the same thing I restored from scratch, since I've read that that can help if there is some corrupt code in a backup.
Just today, it has crashed three times, but in a different way. No "connect to iTunes" symbol this time. Twice it happened while I was talking with someone, and one time just while it was sitting on my desk.
Now I can watch it cycling through the apple logo restart. Each time the screen will fade out, almost like the power has been cut, showing a red line across the screen before the logo fades away. Then the logo will come on again, and it will repeat this process for about a minute, before it finally completes a restart and returns to the lock screen and acts like nothing has happened.
This is driving me nuts. The phone has never been physically damaged. Is there anything I can do besides bring it to a technician? I live in Sweden, so it's bound to cost me a fortune to get it fixed for some manufacturing/software error. I've never had to get it fixed before so I'm unsure what my rights are. Is there a way to get it repaired for free? It's not under any type of warranty or contract.

I went in to the Apple store this weekend and I was asked to setup as a new phone (not restore from backup) and that should fix it. Nope, nada. Still did the above cycle of death - reboots, apple logo and sometimes comes back but more often than not goes into "connect to itunes" mode. It happends randomly too - when an app is launched or sometimes just when it is sitting there. I have another Genius Bar appointment this afternoon - lets see what they have to say this time. Bummer is this is supposedly a new replacement phone they gave me a couple of months back when my previous phone (another 4s) died randomly.
