3gs iOS 6.1.2 call failed - after software upgrade

After the upgrade, i can receive calls, connect to wireless, send texts and play sounds, but cannot make calls.
"Call Failed" is the msg i get wthin a second of dialling.
The signal strength is excellent and since i have tried calling several phones (land and mobiles, with different providers/carriers) within my home, I know they are not busy and it cannot be a network problem.
Any suggestions?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Standard troubleshooting is
1)Reset: reset your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

after software upgrade it reboot the router about every 45 sec
I've tried this tool from the Cisco website RV0xxV3_FirmwareRescueUtility_v4.0.0.7 without success, the problem is there, is a way you can get the router up and running again ?
Can i run a TFTP server and upload a new software, or i ther a FirmwareRescueUtility for rv042g ??

I am a Cisco network support engineer, I have a recommendation, before you upgrade any device in the future. Always keep in mind to make a backup of your data, in this way if you have to reset the device to factory settings you will not lose that information. Having said that, reset the router to the fabric configuration using the back little button, remember when you do that, you are going to loose your current configuration.

Since updating the software on my iPhone 3gs it has developed the so called "white screen of death". The phone has not been dropped or damaged in anyway, the problem only developed after software upgrade. Rung apple and they were less than helpful

I have tried the solution which seems to pop up most of holding down the power button and the home button for 10 seconds but this hasnt helped at all. Tried ringing apple, who were less than helpful and disinterested as the phone is out of warranty. I am hoping there is a solution which doesnt mean shelling out for a new phone! any ideas?

Javascript web service calls fail after 10.1.5/11.0.01 updates

* Update #2 - I've confirmed that we are seeing errors because the HTTP request is being made as a POST using 10.1.5/11.0.01 in Chrome/Firefox/Safari. Accessing the same file in IE, the request is made using a GET. Using Reader 9.5.0 in Chrome also uses a GET. Can someone please explain why the HTTP request is being submitted as a POST following the 10.1.5 update?
* Update - I have found in my web service log that it is failing with a message that the attempted POST method is not allowed. Could the Reader updates be causing this call to be made as a POST when it was previously a GET?
I am using PDFs with Reader Extensions enabled that make web service calls via javascript. These calls have been working correctly in multiple environments for months and only began failing with the latest updates. After the latest Reader updates, these calls fail when using Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
Internet Explorer works correctly. Saving files locally and opening them in Reader also works correctly. It is only running 10.1.5 or 11.0.01 in these specific browsers where this issue occurs. 10.1.4 and 11.0.0 do not experience this issue in any browsers.
I have tried disabling Enhanced Security and updating Trust Manager to allow Internet Access from PDFs. Neither change corrected the problem.
Can someone tell me what may have changed in 10.1.5/11.0.01 that would cause these calls to start failing?
The javascript at issue looks like this:
var serviceKeyResult.rawValue = Get(serviceKeyUrl)
The error we get is "Error: Error attempting to read from file: {URL}"

Thanks for pointing that out. The javacript was implemented by a third party, so I was not aware that the function wasn't part of the standard APIs. I'll get more detail on what is happening inside that method.
For now we have updated our web services to accept both a GET and a POST to avoid this issue.

It sounds like you are are getting a message saying that the call failed, when the person you are talking to hangs up. I have a few things to recommend here. First close all the open apps:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and test it out again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:

RPC Remote calls fail after loading sibling.

Main loads an app compiled in 3.2. Cannot recompile legacy SWF with version of Main.
Main and Client are on the same domain. Debugging on localhost.
Sibling has RemoteObject code but never makes RemoteObject calls.
Main apps remote calls start failing after sibling is loaded.
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert

1. Remove the WinrmIIS Extension from "Programs and Features"
2. Reboot the server
3. Execute the cmd "winrm quickconfig". This adds an exception for the remote management in the Windows firewall.
4. Install "Winrm IIS extension
5. Try open Exchange Management Console

I'm very frustrated. My last 3G iPhone suddenly stopped working in this respect: I could make calls out, but the call ended just after the person answered; also, I could receive calls, but the call ended after the same number of seconds.
My service provider (Fido, owned by Rogers here in Canada) said it was the phone itself, and Apple kindly sent me a new one. It worked for about as long as the first one did—I could make and receive calls... until yesterday, when the same evil voodoo started happening again.
So what do I do?
Is it the phone (the hardware), or Fido (the service provider)?
Any advice would be appreciated.

To answer your questions: my location is Ottawa... should be well-covered. I tried going from 3G to the other one, with the same results.
I don't know if both phones (my first phone was a 3G iPhone, by the way) worked for exactly the same amount of time before not working (in exactly the same way), but it was probably about a month in both cases (made me wonder if I was late in paying my bill, and was being punished, but I've paid my bills promptly).
Now, re the Sim card. This could be the problem. As I recall, when I got my replacement iPhone, I was instructed to take the Sim card out of the one I was returning, and put it in the new iPhone. So maybe this "old" Sim card (I got my first iPhone in August, so I don't know if it could be a 3000 series) is to blame?
I'll call Fido tomorrow to ask about this. Before I do though, I'll check this forum tomorrow morning in case either of you, or someone else, has any further suggestions.

Udisks inhibiting fails after system upgrade

Hi,
To keep my cdrom silent I have in rc.local this line:
udisks --inhibit-all-polling &
It worked fine, but stopped working after yesterdays upgrade
Now it (in console) returns:
Inhibit all polling failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
And in kernel.log I found this:

What if you disable polling of a specific device with " udisks --inhibit-polling /dev/the_devicename & " ? So without 'all', and using the_devicename that "ps aux | grep udisks-daemon" shows?
And have you tried using and udev rule instead of a line in rc.local? For example I use this to disable polling a card reader:
# /etc/udev/rules.d/02-udev-disable-cardreader-polling.rules
SUBSYSTEM=="block", ENV{ID_VENDOR}=="APPLE*", ENV{ID_MODEL}=="SD Card Reader*", ENV{UDISKS_DISABLE_POLLING}="1"

Forms and Reports 6i connections fail after db upgraded 10gr2

After database upgraded to 10gr2 on 64bit Windows 2008 server, connections from forms and reports 6i hang while sqlplus connections work. After database is restarted, connections to forms and reports work again but only for a few days?
Also if authenication is changed from NTS to NONE, we do not experience any connection problems from forms or reports.

And if forms/reports tries to connect, the package should get compiled cause of a call
to it and this ends in a endless lock?

When I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.31.5-1 from 2.6.31.4-1 and tried printing a file, I got this error from cups:

I downgraded the kernel and the printer works again and I forgot to mention I had usblp blacklisted both before and after I upgraded.
