3GS NOTES KEEP CRASHING

Question

I have the iPhone 3GS, and I use the notes app quite frequently. Sometimes (Not very often) my note will make a duplicate of itself, but this will happen like a week later. If I delete the duplicate note it creates a kind of "void" in the app. If I hit the empty space it brings me to the "create new" button. If I then exit the app and go back, the app will crash when I scroll to the point where the duplicate note was. It will freeze for a second or two, and then return to the homepage of my phone. Usually it takes a week or two for the app to fix itself when this happens. I just want to know if there's an easy way to do fix this that I didn't know about. Is anyone else having the same problem? I did the thing where you press the home and sleep button at the same time, that didn't help. Thanks in advance!

I ran into something quite similar, and this is how I solved it:
1. Open Finder
2. Menu Go
3. Click and hold the option key (alt)
4. Select Library
5. Locate the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes
6. Select all the files in this folder
7. Launch Time Machine from the Dock (first drag the Time Machine.app icon to the Dock if needed)
8. Use the date scroll bar on the right to go back in time until finding the most recent version of these files with a date before you think you corrupted your Notes
9. Click Restore
10. Quit Time Machine
11. Launch Notes
