Itunes sound not coming out of ipod4
I can't get my ipod4 to play itunes outside of the apple store. Both Apple store and anywhere else with wifi show I have a connection. It shows the song playing but no sound is coming out and my ipod works perfectly (bought it refurbished 3 weeks ago).
Did you already try to reset the iPod by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
Can you play music using the headphones?

Sound not coming through from recorder
*HELP*
When I transfer movies through Pyro A/V link from my recorder, the sound is not coming through.
The video jack and the sound jacks are both plugged in from the same source. Any suggestions!!!It could be that your recording is in MPEG-2 format, which seems to be common among hard drive camcorders, and you require the MPEG-2 codec (available from the Apple Store).

I am facing a very strange problem with my Imac. When i am pressing the volume keys on keyboard it is showing muted sign on the screen. No sound is coming from the speakers. Sometimes the muted sign automatically goes and also suddenly display on the screen. But when i am connecting a external headphone sound is coming. So is this a speaker problem or keyboard or any other hardware problem. What is the solution ?
Your audio settings may have been changed.
Open Audio MIDI Setup (/Applications/Utilities/), then check the Audio Output setting.
Change the Audio Output setting to 44100.0 Hz.
Quit Audio MIDI Setup.

Sound not coming out for right headphone
If I press the headphone jack backwards, I can get sound coming out of both earpieces. However, if I just let it stand still, I can only hear it coming out of the left side. I tried different headphones, so it's the iPod and not the headphones.
My warranty expired 2 days ago (naturally) and I want to know if there's anyway to manually fix this. Or if it's possible to visit an Apple store to fix it.1) Plug your headphones into another source, such as
a stereo. Does the problem still exist? If not, then
it is the iPod itself and not the headphones. If it
does still exist, then it is your headphones.
2) If under warranty, Apple will ship you a new set
of headphones for no charge as long as you return the
defective part in the envelope provided with the new
part they send you.
Oh gee, that's useful. So what's the fix if it's not the headphones?
I guess it's off to the apple store for me!
Does anyone else notice that all of us have no sound in right ear? Could it be an intrinsic flaw? -
Website sound not coming thru iPod Touch - Is there a solution???
Hello all,
I have the iPod Touch and when connecting to the internet with it, to a site such as Sirius.com to listen to music or talk, no audio comes thru. For instance, if I want to log into my sirius.com account, and listen to a talk show, how do I make the audio work? Sound works just fine with iTunes music, but just doesn't put audio thru if coming from an actual website. Is this possible? Thanks! Mike FussellProbably not. The only audio that will be available through the browser currently is audio formatted to be played through quicktime. Nothing to be done except wait and see if other browser plug-ins appear after the 2.0 firmware.

Sound not coming from blth speakers
My 3g does not have stereo sound coming from both speakers. If I cover the left speaker when playing an i-tune, there is absolutely no sound coming from the right speaker. Also , my ringtone and speaker phone doesn't seem as lound as it should be, probably related to the above problem. When I use the earpieces the stereo sound is perfect. Does anyone know if this is the case with their phone? I'd like to know before I take it in. Thanks.
The iPhone 3G only has one speaker, the right side is a microphone.

Used IMac speakers during a move and plugged in speakers but no sound. The preferences shows a headphone and Airplay but nothing else.
Any suggestions how to fix?
Thanks,
DonGo step by step and test.
Hold the option key down and click the sound icon in the menu bar and select internal speakers
1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
Highlight Internal Speakers / Headphones
Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
2.Plug in and remove the headphone.
If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
Try this even if you don’t see the red light.

Sound not coming through HD Tv
Hi I have a p6047uk desktop and a Philips 5000 series hdtv.
I connected them via hdmi cable, i get the picture but dont get sound.
I have been through all the settings through the control panel and set to hdmi output but still get no sound through.
Can anyone help as this has stumped me and hp was no use either, i am quite an advanced pc user and have tried about everything i can think of.Hi spimz,
When you say you made the changes in Control Panel, did you do what is listed in Step 3 of this HP Support doc on resolving sound issues?
In addition to changing the Vista Sound settings, you may need to make the changes in the Realtek Sound Manager. To do this, double-click the Realtek Sound Manager icon that is in the system tray/notification area next to the clock. Go into the Digital Output tab/screen and make sure the proper defaults are set, you may also want to make sure the jack detect feature is working correctly.
Also one more thing to consider, do you have any other audio device/cable plugged in to the PC, including headphones? The PC will generally only push sound out of one jack at a time.
Let us know if this helps.

Sound not coming out of speakers.
The sound will not come out of the external speakers on my iMac. What must I do to ensure they work?
Had them plugged in to the wrong port. Once in the correct one it worked fine.

Sound Not Coming Through Speakers
I'm trying to watch a video on a Youtube style website, but the sound isn't coming through my external speakers, it's coming through the internal one in my tower. All other sounds (iTunes, Quicktime, etc) come through fine. I experienced this problem a long time ago, and it was eventually solved, though I don't remember what I did (or if I did anything at all). So far I've restarted the computer and made sure the correct speakers were selected in the system preferences. Where should I go from here?
ThanksThe audio hardware can be set to various sample rates. There are several ways applications can deal with this:
A) output sound at whatever the sample rate setting is.
B) produce no output if it can't handle the current setting.
C) change the setting to something that will work, but reset it to the original when finished.
D) change the setting, and don't reset it when finished.
Type A and C applications won't cause problems, but if you use a type D application that uses an unusual setting, followed by a type B that can't use that setting, you will get no sound. Garage Band is a type D application that uses normal sample rate, and running it will often fix sound problems, but the Audio MIDI Setup Utility gives more control. -
