3rd party AUs not seen. IK's ST2.x and SampleMoog.

Hi there, I'm pretty new to Mac and Logic Express 9.
I have IK's SampleTank and SampleMoog which run stand-alone on my Intel iMac. I have used ST in Garage Band but they are nowhere to be seen in Logic. I have rescanned the AUs from the AU Manager but they are not on the list. On all search menu's in Logic on 'insert' and the 'browser' they don't appear either.
After asking advice from IK support I believe the applications are in the correct folders, though not convinced because of the outcome, I am at a loss as to what to do.
I may be missing something very obvious but I find myself just covering old ground with no results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

curiously the tech had indicated that 3rd party software - like exs manager - should do the trick.
while i have heard great things about this app, it certainly seems a bit unnecessary to purchase this when linking to legacy files - many of which were created by emagic/apple 'back in the day'.
in any event...i do hope that others find this useful...while the tech meant no harm, the fix is certainly a god-send for old-timers like me who still use legacy files.

The 3rd party plugins not working. Illustrator, Folder view, and quark are the three I use. They worked nice in 10.5.x Tried /Library/quicklook/ tried /user/library/quicklook/ even forced into system/library/quicklook/
Anybody else use these or any other 3rd party plugin?

Plugin: 3rd Party applets not working

I have an internally developed applet that requires us to install the Plug-In under our IE 5.5 and 6.0 browsers (about 10,000 of them). Upon doing that, I will now have a handful of 3rd party applications that employ applet technology, and that will not work with the Plugin (lots of classnotfoundexceptions being floated around). The only way that I've found I can make these applets work is to turn off use of the Sun Plugin within IE. I am wondering if this is a plugin, or vendor, problem.
* What is the basic problem here?
* Is it that these other 3rd party system are written to an older spec and the 1.4 plugin will not support them?
* Is Sun's plugin not backward compatible with older applets?
* Did these vendors screw up in some fashion in their applets or HTML?
* Is the whole idea of applets inherently flawed?
What are other folks doing to get around these incompatibilities?

I don't your exact problem with the ClassNotFoundExceptions, but it may be because those applets are using Microsoft specific APIs that caused all the lawsuits to fly.
I have had success mixing applets requiring the Java Plug-in with those that need or run best under the Microsoft JDK, as follows:
When the Java Plug-in installs, do NOT take the option that makes it the default plug-in for the browser.
In your web site:
Launch the JDK 1.4 applets with the OBJECT tag.
Launch Microsoft specific applets with the APPLET tag.

MacBook Pro 3rd Party App not loading just 'flashes' 10.8.5

Could really use some help here, been using this forum for around 6 years and have managed to solve all my Mac problems through it which has been great, but I have an issue I really can't figure out.
Replaced my HD with an SSD using Carbon Copy Cloner and everything has worked perfectly apart from one really annoying problem.
If I unzip a 3rd party App (not .dmg these work ok) for a piece of music software (as that is all I use this Mac for) it just 'flashes' for a second and stops - where as normally it will ask for Password to make changes and install it.
If I use Console to inspect the error I get this…

Dock: no information back from LS about running process
This is what I have tried.
1. Security and Privacy Settings are set to allow non Apple Apps.
2. I have repaired Permissions in Disc Utility and from Terminal in Recovery HD via resetpassword command.
3. I have opened the app for the Get Info part and I have Read/Write permission on it.
4. I booted in Safe Mode, still the same.
5. I created a new Admin user on my Mac and tried to open the same App after unzipping and it immediately asks for the prompt to enter password to make changes. (so the download/unzip process is ok).
So, I guess it really must have something to do with my permissions somehow (or not!). As this is the only thing that does not work I feel I have narrowed it down but just can't fix it.
Any help/advice will be much appreciated.

I have fixed this. May be of help to others at some point.
I have been using Zipeg for .zip folders for about 4 years and never had an issue, I saw on a non related post about .zip files and how they can become corrupted during de-compression.
Anyway, I deleted zipeg and re-installed it, still the same, after that I read a post about OSX built in Archive Utility, it wasn't in my Utility folder so another post gave the path. I had no idea it even existed.
System / Library / Core Services - Archive Utility.
Using this all is working perfectly again.

EJB module for a 3rd party adapter not getting called

Hello All,
I have written and adapter module EJB code and calling it from Sender 3rd party Ariba cXML adapter.
This EJB is successfully build and deployed on the server but after I added it in channel in ID....the cXML channel stopped picking up the messages. When I removed the config from the channel, it started working again.
I think its a known bug in Ariba adapter that the audit logs can not be seen in RWB so it has made it more dificult for me to trouble shoot.
How can i check if the adapter was called at all and what went wrong ?
Is there a different way of adding custom modules in 3rd part adapters ?
Please help.

Even I had same issue...after lot of debugginh realise path specified in CC for calling adapter module was incorrect...please check if you are pointing to correct location where you have deployed your module...

According to it, if you properly configure the ejb-j2ee-engine.xml file, then you'd call your module using "localejbs/<JNDIName>".

Any 3rd party sales order is not appearing in VF04. all the copy control configuration is standard.
i checked many SAP notes. we are able to update the status by using SDVBUK00 program but that cannot be run for all the days. any idea if there is any other root cause?
when we check the status of the field VBUK-FKSAK it is blank. when we run the program SDVBUK00 it changes it to the desired value of A.

Did you check the below OSS notes? Also check the allied notes in it.
1) Note 210500 - Billing status of a third-party item
2) Note 210561 - When is a third-party item displayed in VF04?
Per this notes, check the item relevance for billing in t.code VOV7 and set the value as B - order related in accordance with order quantity or value as F-order-related in accordance with invoice receipt quantity and check.

3rd party extensions not working in 2014.1 -seeming disaster!

When I updated to 2014.1 my 3rd party extensions will not activate in Live view. Yes I am using fluid grid layouts. Does anyone know a quick work around? I could not have imagined this happening!!

Previously I was able to create a template with a fluid grid layout, use the extensions to create a menu, etc. and then click on the extension item (in the menu pull down) and make updates from the third party screen. Not having design view, I cannot access the extensions in live view. Regrettably, I have built many sites using these extensions and now it is very cumbersome to edit and create new menu items. The extensions do work fine in sites that are not fluid grid layout, but most of the sites I have created are FGL.

Any 3rd party software to recover video taken with iPad and not yet backed up

I accidently deleted a video clip, taken with the iPad 3. iPad has not been backed up since as this video was shot yesterday and I was out of town and unable to back up iPad yet. Are there any 3rd party solutions to recover that file? I've turned off the iPad to prevent over righting.
I think it's unbelievable that it could be so easy to possibly permanently delete content from such an advanced device

3rd Party Software Not Seeing That Adobe Reader XI Is Installed.

I have a few pieces of (custom) software that with previous versions of Adobe Reader (7, 8, 9, and X), would open Adobe Reader automatically when selecting to open a PDF from within the software.
When the pc's were updated to Reader XI, the software no longer sees that Reader is installed, therefore will not open the PDF files as it should.
I have since rolled the pc's back to Reader X and the software works, but I would like to get XI working due to some needed features in XI.
Is there something within the Adobe Reader XI install that is different, or in different location from previous versions? (i.e. different registry key locations, some Reader files installed to different locations, etc?)
If anyone knows something that did change, I may be able to work with the 3rd party developers and get this resolved.

I just solved this problem on my computer.
Windows 7 comes with only one "Voice" installed. "Microsoft Anna - English (United States)" I'm not sure what you get if your in another country.
You can test your "Voice/Voices" by running Microsoft Narrator. Click [Start] button and type "Narrator" in the [search programs and files] box. Press [Enter]. Your computer should begin talking. Click [Voice Settings] button to see a list of installed voices. Take note of the voices listed. "Mine has just the one."
Adobe Reader must have a voice selected that you have installed. To verify your settings Run Adobe Reader. From the top menu click [Edit] then click [Preferences] at the bottom of the list. In the Preferences window click [Reading] from the left hand list. Find "Read Out Loud Options" Un-check [Use default voice] Choose a voice from the drop down menu that you have verified is installed on your computer. Click [OK]
My Adobe Reader had 4 voices listed to choose from. I found this curious because I only have one voice.

3rd party plugins not working after archive and install

i have a few 3rd party plugins in my logic pro, such as all the native instruments, waves diamond, ik multimedia plugins, atmosphere and a few more,
i was getting an error on my g5 when i tried to run diskwarrior from the disk. it was the kernal panic message, it said i had to restart my mac, therefore i couldnt run diskwarrior from disk.
i did a bit of research and a few people suggested doing a archive install, so i did.
well what do you know, i had to re-install logic 8 again. other programmes such as transcribe, itunes idvd imovie etc were ok.
but logic didnt load up, o i had to re-install logic again,
also before i did that i checked to see if my 3rd party plugin were working in standalone, so i check all the native instruments and they seemed to work ok, T-racks deluxe works fine, so i thought they should all load up in logic.
once logic was installed again and had to get all the updates all my 3rd party plugins did not show up on my AU validation.
is there a way to get logic to see my 3rd party plugins or do i have to re-install all of them again.

Then check if the NI AU components are actually where they should be:
HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
If not copy them over from your "previous systems" folder which was created on your HD during the archive and install process.

Loss of Music and Video and 3rd party apps not working on 3G

I've had to restore my 3G iphone about 10x now. The phone keeps "losing" my music and video, and then the 3rd party apps don't work. A reset does not help, I have to restore my phone and set it up as a new phone each time. I went to the Genius Bar, they gave me a new phone, but said it was likely a software issue. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a way to fix it? I waste like 2 hours re-syncing my phone every time this happens. I'm so disappointed with this iPhone 3G...I wish I hadn't sold my original iPhone and could switch back to that. Please, any help that anyone can offer would be GREATLY appreciated.

Infospoke - 3rd party tool not setting request to G (successful )

Anyone of you had experience of this issue before? I have an infospoke that loads data to the DB table. A 3rd party tool ( Datastage) extracts the data from the table. Everything works as expected, BW sends notification to 3rd party tool that data is ready for extraction. 3rd party tool extracts the data successfully, but the problem is that the request is not set to G (successful). The people working on Datastage said that their system issued a message to BW that extraction is successful but it seems BW did not accept/receive it. So although the data has been successfully extracted to the 3rd party tool, the request is still set to N (new) and not G. No errors are issued.
Below is the Infospoke Message run:
1. Extraction is running
2. Extraction running in background process BW_OH19802
3. Data Package 1
4. Send message to DATASTG
5. Message from DATASTG confirmed
6. The extraction ended successfully
7. Data is being read: Open hub destination DW1234
8. Finished reading data: Open hub destination DW1234
In this issue, the log should have:
9. Datastage job completed successfully (status set to G)
10. Status for request 154,567 was set to G.
But the infospoke only run up to 8. The catch here is that this doesnt happen consistently. Sometimes the infospoke status is correctly set. but sometimes it's not.
Any ideas what cause this problem? Will really appreciate any inputs.

The Thirdy party tool (in this case datastage) is responsible for setting the status to G in the table RSBREQUID3RD. If this does not
happen then normally the problem is with the Third party tool and often with the RFC communication. However there is an known issue on the
BI side as explained in the note 1243168, if this is relevant for your BI support package level please apply the note and check if the problem
still exists.

Uploading 3rd Party Cert NOT Working Prime LMS 4.2

Hi all,
I followed the next steps but when I tried to upload the 3rd party cert into the Prime LMS using SSL Utlity Script option 5 or 6, the process is stuck. I did not get a message similar to step 4 like: "introduce the location of the certificate...."
1.-Create a CSR using OpenSSL as usual. (it always works on Cisco ISE, ACS, etc).
2.-Create the LMS Server Certificate on my local CA Server using the previous CSR.
3.-Downloaded the CA Root & Intermediate Servers Certificate (Base64 Encoded - In fact the Cisco Guide DO NOT MENTION this part, only when I ran the OPTION 4, I realized I needed it instead of DER Encoded I have been using regularly).
4.-Downloaded the Prime LMS New Certificate, again 64Base Encoded.
5.-Using SSL Utility Script, I ran Option 4 to validate the Certificates previously downloaded and the process went sucessful. No error messages.
6.-TRY TO UPLOAD the LMS and CA Server Certificates but the process is STUCK after introducing YES whe this is required.
Any ideas about this (may be is a bug or similar)?

I get the identical message with a USB audio device (Cakewalk UA1G) attached to the camera connection kit. I started getting the message after I upgraded to 4.2.1.
I started a thread about it here this morning...
Apple has done something unpleasant to the USB power requirements in the 4.2.1 upgrade.

3rd party apps not working on new iPad 4G, 32GB.

Having read many threads on this, I have re-stored (existing backup and new), re-set, re-synced. I have downloaded new apps, deleted old ones and redownloaded, have tried to drag and drop apps from Library to Devices. Have reset my Apple ID on computer and pad, and currently have only one ID and then restored as new. Apple apps work fine. But not one 3rd party app opens. A short black flash on the screen and nothing. All the supposedly active apps' icons show in the "active dock". What am I missing?
