Is it possible in flex to import any third party controls, if
yes how can we import them and can we able to import asp.net
controls into flex
plz find me some solution

Flex applications are compiled into SWFs and run in the Flash
Player. So only Flash-based 3rd party controls can be used. Check
out the Adobe Exchange for a list of those and search the web,
too.

Become an Apple Developer and figure out how to do it. There may be an API on IOS to do it, but I'm going with Rudegar on this point. Almost certain that it's not possible.

after the installation of the ESSENTIAL STUDIO Community Edition of Syncfusion and DEVEXPRESS Universal components, there is no icon in toolbox. I the VS 2013.

3rd party charts and graphs

I would like to find out if there are any 3rd party (Free or for purchase) libraries which contain enhanced graphics objects. For example, I would like to find a robust strip chart capable of displaying multiple simultaneous (Time locked or common X axis) strips in separate plots with the ability to re-arrange the plots vertically (Drag and drop), save the configuration, etc. I'm sure this can be done via a lot of detailed programming, but I'd rather just use already available solutions if they exist.
Are there 3rd party controls that replace and enhance the built in LabView graphs and charts?

How to use a 3rd party source control tool with RoboHelp?

I would like to set our RoboHelp users up with source control. They are using RoboHelp HTML 8.0.
Our software developers are using the AccuRev scm system; I'd like the doc team to use AccuRev, too.
Can someone direct me to RoboHelp documentation that explains how to set up and use a 3rd party scm system with RoboHelp?

It appears that RoboHelp 7 only sees the first SCC provider listed in the Windows Registry and ignores the rest. I was able to get RoboHelp to display the File | Version Control menu for SourceGear Vault by setting the following two Registry keys and removing keys for other SCC providers (SourceSafe, Surround SCM, and others I am evaluating).
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceCodeControlProvider
     ProviderRegKey = \Software\SourceGear\Vault Client
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceCodeControlProvider\InstalledSCCProviders
     SourceGear Vault VS2003 Compatible Client = SOFTWARE\SourceGear\Vault Client
If I create a new RoboHelp project, save it, then select File | Version Control | Add to Version Control, RoboHelp does the following:
     - pops up the Select Version Control Provider dialog and displays SourceGear Vault Classic Client.
     - I select that, check "Make this my default selection" checkbox, and click OK.
     - RoboHelp crashes.
I'm using SourceGear Vault 5.02 under Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. A search of the SourceGear Vault knowledge base reveals that they do not support RoboHelp because of its incorrect behavior and instability. It's so sad that RoboHelp can't work properly with industry standard SCC providers. Vault is by far the best SourceSafe replacement out there, and very affordable.

Possible to control 3rd party plugin/palette?

Is it possible to write something (JavaScript/COM programming/plugin) that has access to a 3rd party plugin/palette? I'm talking about XMPie uDirect. XMPie doesn't offer an official API for the plugin but I want to invoke a special action automatically that can be accessed only by the plugin's InDesign palette. I want some kind of automation.

This won't work, sorry. The palette cannot be controlled through the menus... except showing/hiding it.
I got the same idea with system events. It would be great to have a program that sniffs system events and gives information when I press a special button in the InDesign palette. The 3rd party plugin should be a kind of library like DLL that exports functions. Does anybody know a program that can monitor InDesign.exe with all its sub-processes, DLL handles and called DLL functions?
[Edit:] I tried a DLL viewer which can open and show XMPie's plugin files XMPBackEnd5.apln and XMPFrontEnd5.apln (APLN = InDesign PlugIn). They seem to be normal DLL files. If anybody knows the secrets of "decrypting" DLLs it would be nice to know if this can help me. I need to invoke the plugin's commands for XMPie's "Dynamic Print" (new dialog opens) and then just confirm with "OK" to start the export.

3rd Party add-in controls

Is it possible to use 3rd party ActiveX, DLL or other add-in controls in Crystal Reports. I have a chart in a report but the requirements cannot be met by the built-in CR charting control so I would like use a 3rd party one if possible.

Slide lock control in 3rd party apps?

is it possible to use the slide lock control that is used for powering off the iPhone (for instance) in 3rd party apps? If so, how do you do it -- I don't see it as an available control in Interface Builder...

How do I manage 3rd party add ons and source control

Some developers friends of mine just got burned because a 3rd party add on to LabVIEW they use in thier code was not in the Software repository. They needed to go back and rebuild a previous version, but it was not immedietely obvious which version of the add on belonged to which version of the source code.
The 3rd party helped make this worse by being perfectly happy to change the pin outs on the API VIs in between revisions.
So they could not simply select a non buggy version of the add on and a non buggy version of the source and compile.
In some cases we have put 3rd party add ons in the source directory so they become part of the SVN project. My friends had them where they where installed, which was under the vi.lib folder.
This does not always work. For example the Internet Toolkit's FTP code has so many layers that it can be a challenge to get them all moved over. If you want to have the ability to overwrite local files when doing a get, you need to make a small change about 5 layers down in the VIs. We basically have to do this for every developer machine that has LV 8.5 on it. (LV 2010 fixed this. It was the first thing we checked.)
So I am wondering what other LV professionals do to manage revision control of 3rd party add ons.

I generally created a ZIP file of the entire third party tool and all of its pieces. Generally they are well enough behaved that everything is at least under a single folder in the file system. I then check this file into source code control. Another optio would be to use JKI's Package Manager. You could create your own local packages of the third party tool and use VIPM to manage those packages. I generally don't put any of NI's toolkits in source code control.

3rd party plug ins lack controls of any kind

I'm freelancing on an FCP system that is not mine -- and trying to finish a show for air. The system has BCC and Saphire plugins installed and I'd like to use the BCC Chroma Keyer, but none of the third party plugins have any controls available on the filter tab.
Where there would normally be controls, there is just an empty twirl-down, or, with the BCC plugins, an "About" button.
It's not a problem of unregistered plug-ins and it's happening to all the 3rd party plugins on this system. Has anyone encountered (and hopefully solved) this problem?

This is a known problem with Boris Plugins for FCP 5.1
This is the procedure to fix this lack of controls.
Close FCP.
Navigate to (home user) > Library > Preferences > Final Cut Pro User Data
delete the following:
Final Cut Pro Obj Cache.fcmch
and
Final Cut Pro Prof Cache.fcpch
Put your caps lock key on.
Start FCP and after it is fully launched quit FCP
Take your caps lock key off
Re-start FCP
Controls in BCC should now be available.
And yes, this has happened to me and this fix does work.

How volume control on 3rd party cherry keyboard

I'm using a 3rd party Cherry PC keyboard on a Mac Pro and would like to assign the F10, F11 and F12 keys for volume controls. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

You can also use Quicksilver’s iTunes Triggers to assign commands to your function keys. But sound volume will only change for iTunes and not the whole system.

Unfortunately, I need to connect both devices (Extreme and Timecapsule) via wireless. The ADSL router is not conveniently located to allow me to cable them directly. They are both being used to drive a bank of non networkable printers and external harddrives via the USB ports on each.
My frustration with myself is I had it setup, but failed to record for future, the trick in how to unhide the "join network option". I then had a failed firmware update from Apple and then needed to reset the routers and bang the settings were gone.
The Security setting is not an issue I know those I am using WPA2 personal.
I would be grateful for the wireless setup if you have it handy...
