3rd party dip to silence for audio transition?

I'm using the dip to black between video segments. I would need an analog dip to silence for audio. I'm aware of the workarounds like using the keyframes or shorten the track for one frame, apply constant power on both sides, and then lengthen the track again. The workarounds take too much time and on 150 segments they are both incredible big pain.
I need to be able to accomplish the needed result in less time and with less frustration and stress. I don't understand why Premiere CS6 still doesn't have a dip to silence for audio. I tried to find a 3rd party transtion, but haven't been successful, yet. Does anybody know something? Is it possible to program an own transition?
Thanks for any help.
Marcus

In line with Jim Curtis' suggestion, there is even an SDK Forum: http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere/premierepro_current/sdk?view=overview

  • After upgrade 3rd party apps are looking for serials

Not wanting to jeopardize my Mavericks install, I cloned my main HD and after checking that the cloned drive did boot, I installed Yosemite to it. Despite all my apps showing up in the application folder, some won't open and some are requesting I reinstall the serial numbers. I used Carbon Copy and asked it to clone all files. Are there hidden files it missed or is this requirement to reregister all the 3rd party apps. normal?

  • 3rd Party SATA raid cards for internal drives?

    All --
Apart from the discussion as to if RAID actually benefits a home desktop system, I am wondering if anyone has the lowdown on using 3rd party SATA raid cards to support the INTERNAL hard drives on the Mac Pro series?
My Mac Pro is still slated to be built at Apple and for now I have the minimum memory and HD spec being requested at Apple, with the plan to upgrade the memory and drives from OWC or another vendor.
I've toyed with the idea of utilizing Disk Utility's software RAID features (e.g. RAID 0 for scratch disks, RAID 1 for boot, RAID 0+1 for all else.) I've also toyed with the notion of searching for a hardware raid solution which would allow me to transfer the internal SATA cable runs from the motherboard to a host adapter card for an internal multi-channel experience (with options to create and break mirrors to external devices for backup purposes.)
    So....
Has anyone experience or utilized 3rd party hardware raid controllers which can connect to the internal HD bays? Are there limitations to this (ie, does the boot drive HAVE to reside off the internal motherboard controllers, or can an internal hardware controller successfully boot the system) of which ought be noted?
Finally, in the event that a host adapter card cannot drive the interna bays, can anyone give feedback to hardware SATA cards to power external drive bays with support for Disk Utility (to allow RAID1 pairings of internal drives to external snapshot-backup drives)?
    Thanks for your time,
    Ian Poulin
    Richmond, Va

I am wondering if anyone has the lowdown on using 3rd party SATA raid cards to support the INTERNAL hard drives on the Mac Pro series?
There are many 3rd party controllers that support the internal HDs if an internal iPass connector is used. The problem is that some are bootable but most are not.
The Areca ARC-1680ix-12 and the HighPoint RocketRAID 4320 are bootable. However, the system cannot be installed via the Apple DVD. Instead the user needs to clone a boot drive with the proper drivers to the boot volume on the controller and then boot from the 3rd party controller.
The other issue I found is that these controllers do not support Boot Camp. If Boot Camp is desired, my recommendation would be to leave the internal HDs on the Mac Pro internal bus intact and use the 3rd party controller for external storage. This method provides four internal bays that are bootable, support Boot Camp and can be used for system backups. I use the 3rd party controller for external storage for large RAID sets and hot swapping hard disks.
With the internal bays intact and external hot swap RAID storage available the user can support Boot Camp, multiple system volumes and large external RAID sets. From my experience using a 3rd party controller with the internal HD bays always has some limitations. The user usually does not realize it unit later when Boot Camp does not work or the computer fails on a system upgrade or the controller does not work at all with a new version of Mac OS X.
Staying with the standard internal Mac Pro bay configuration will be the best configuration to avoid compatibility issues with future versions of Mac OS X. It is rumored that the new Snow Leopard may require 64-bit drivers. If that is the case, I would expect most if not all existing 3rd party controller drivers to fail. Some drivers will be upgraded after a few months while others may not. Having the internal Mac Pro SATA controller intact should at least allow the Mac Pro to boot if my guess about compatibility issues is correct.
can anyone give feedback to hardware SATA cards to power external drive bays with support for Disk Utility (to allow RAID1 pairings of internal drives to external snapshot-backup drives)?
There are a large number of external controllers that work with Disk Utility. Here are some of my favorites.

  • Any 3rd party scripts or scripters for RH9?

I have a training client who uses RH9 and who has some project needs that would lend themselves well to scripting. However, none of the scripts that ship with RH9 will do the trick and the scripts that I've found on Peter Grainge's and Willem van Weelden's sites, aren't what he needs. Are there any other sources of scripts for RH9, or is anyone on this list doing 3rd party script development?
    Thanks,
    Neil Perlin

    Hi Neil
Can you provide some detail on what is needed?
I'm aware you don't frequent here so you are likely unaware that often we see engineers from Adobe that will offer a script to accomplish a task. So perhaps if you could advise what is needed you might find that a script would be offered.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Relying on 3rd-Party/Open Source Software for fully functionality in Vi

Is it just me or are open source software engineers doing a better job than actual Creative software engineers?
There are several threads linking to 3rd-Party hacks to get the majority of Creative Apps working in Vista. As well as this there are the KXProject Drivers floating around which appear to offer better compatability than the current Creative drivers.
What's going on Creative? How many Software Engineers do you actually have working for you?
Why is it, people you don't even pay are making much greater developments and progress in drivers and software for Vista?
But i guess they're not charging customers to purchase?updates on?CD. I remember when the Audigy was released, instead of offering downloads, Creative actually asked people to buy an updated CD with software and drivers on. Of course we were only?charged for postage, but very expensi've postage nevertheless.Message Edited by AnnoyedCustomer on 03-09-200703:3 PM

Hi welcome to the forum, I hope you find lots of help here and we look forward to your contributions as well
    In regards to your questions:
1: No, you just put a swf file on the server
    2. You can host the smaller app on your site and then give them an iframe linking to it
    3. Nope, no problems there
    Hope this helps

  • 3rd party apps thru Apple for original iPhone??

I have an early version iPhone, it's the 6 month old dinosaur running software version 1.1.4. Any third party applications available for this phone through apple?? any in development?? any software updates on the horizon??
All of the buzz seems to be around the 3G. Hoping Apple hasn't forgotten us folks who helped make 3G possible.

Yo have to get the 2.0 software (now 2.0.1 with latest bug fix). All of the apps that are available for 3g are available for 1st generation - They have the same software. The only difference between the two phones is 3G network and a GPS radio, other than that everything is the same.

  • 3rd party mic & web-cam for 1GHz mirror G4

    hi,
I have try the old apple mic & got a mic froma computer store but all doesn't work...
Seems like all the salesman does not know much about mac and keep giving me the wrong information... and they don't accept returns...
Pls recommend any cheap or good mic & web-cam that works for my G4.
Also is there anyway to tell if the product works with mac as the packaging normally only give infor for PC. I have so far collected alot of 'junk' which the salesman promise it works with all computer but that doesn't seems the case... not for me...
I'll be using the mic & web-cam mostly on skype. Thanks

    Hi-
The following is a list of Mac compatible web cams, particularly when used with Skype:
    http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=69289
Note that many use the Macam driver, or for example, as in the case of the Logitech QuickCam Ultra, no driver. I use the Ultra, and have had no problems. Most of the logitech line, as well as the Macally camera, will give good results
To use many of the cameras with iChat, the iChatUSBCam is the ticket.

  • 3rd party pci wireless card for G4 1.25GHz (MDD 2003) & Leopard?

Greetings. Upgrade to Leopard broke wireless on my son's PowerMac G4 1.25GHz (MDD 2003). Previous PCI wireless G card was a third party distributed by Buffalo, but it worked fine under Tiger. Does anyone have a recommendation on a third party card known to work with 10.5.x?
    Thanks!

I am using a Belkin F5D7000 in a AGP G4 Tower. The chipset is by Ralink. Free OS X version drivers are available here:
    http://www.ralinktech.com/supp-1.htm
While not as elegant as Airport software, of course, the driver and card work excellent.
If you can find a wireless PCI card using the original Broadcom chip sets, just like the Airport card, then it will be recognized as an Airport card and use the Apple software. These are hard to find now however.
Here is an excellent article on what you are trying to do:

  • 3rd party junk mail filter for Mail?

Does anybody know of one that works? I have been dutifully labeling junk mail as junk, and it just doesn't work. I am so sick of graphic images and lubricious subject lines. Anybody? Does anything exist that really works?

Gmail puts all the spam messages inside a mailbox called spam, I've configured Mail to bind the spam folder in the server to the junk mailbox. Spam messages are download but correctly to junk mailbox.
If I create a filter to move all email to inbox I believe this filter will move spam messages, that cames from gmail already in the right spam folder, to inbox.
The option you suggested is already marked. The problem is that Mail sometimes gives false positives as junk mail and GMail doesn't that is why I want to set Mail to not filter gmail messages.
I belive I was clearer now, let me know if it still confusing.

  • ATP for 'Stock in transit' for 3rd Party scenario

    We have a scenario:
For warehouse replenishments an STO is created and then a delivery is subsequently created for the STO. Once the delivery has been shipped out of the manufacturing facility (post goods issued) the materials on the delivery are transferred from unrestricted-stock at the manufacturing facility to stock-in-transit at the receiving warehouse. Once the stock is in transit to the third-party warehouses, ATP should then take it into consideration when deliveries are created from the third-party warehouses to customers.
Now how to take the ATP check for 3rd party del. into consideration for STO?
    STO document type is UD
Goods issue movement type is 641
Goods receipt movement type is 101

  • Any 3rd party utilities that fix full screen mode for multi-monitor users?

I am a multi-monitor user.  As multi-monitor users know, full screen mode is basically useless since if you try to go full screen on one monitor, it causes the other monitor to go blank and become unusable (at least with most programs).  Are there any 3rd party utitilities or fixes for this?
    Thanks

Spaces, which is what this functionality stems from, was limited in that it used your entire setup and switched all of the screens over; space to space. I never used spaces because I always had multiple monitors and I was always working with multiple apps simultaneously that I wanted to be able to reference while working on the others.
Now they call Spaces, "mission control" and changed the appearance of it, but the functionality remained the same, each workstation comprised all of your monitors, and would switch over all of them when switching to a new "Desktop".
Fullscreen apps wrongly assumes that it can take the functionality of the afformentioned MS/Spaces and use it for one app, negating the whole idea of why someone would have multiple screens (real estate to work with other applications).
If they stop considering multiple monitors as one Workspace, they can then make it so they are asynchronous "tablets" instead of one conjoined entity.
So, you say people have been asking about this for 2 years, I've been asking for this for 5!
The issue here is, the only answer is to not use it. Making Mission Control and Fullscreen apps completely ignored by people like us, where I could be using both functions to glide around my work station and three monitors, mixing and matching which apps I want to be viewed on each separate monitor, to perform one single task; together.
It would actually reward people who wanted to utilize Thunderbolt technology and have more then one monitor.
There is no telling why apple chose to push out something that would only support the casual user, with one display, but the only direct way to let apple know that we feel limited by the OS is to send feedback. Even though it seems that we are powerless in this situation, I hope that they do consider how to make this function better.
