3rd Party Flash Video Encoders?

What is the advantage of using 3rd party software, such as,
squeeze or Cleaner to encode video as Flash video instead of using
the Flash Video Encoder?
Thanks.

I use Sorenson Squeeze and On2 Flix Pro. Both of these apps
provide
2-pass variable bitrate encoding that simply doesn't exist in
the native
Import Video Wizard. The two passes tend to give more bang
for the buck in
terms of better visual quality at a lower file size. In
addition, both of
these apps give you more knobs to tweak, so if you're a video
expert, you
can fine tune variables like bitrate, data limits, video
keyframes, and
more -- in greater granular control than you get in Flash.

  • Will not allow 3rd party flash content

When I load a webpage that may have a flash player embedded video...I get the error message:
Please click 'Allow 3rd Party Flash Content' in the Adobe Global Storage Settings page that will load when you click OK
However, when I click OK and look at my settings, the "Allow 3rd Party Flash Content" box is already checked.  So, I'm not sure what to do to resolve this.
I am using Firefox version 3.6.15 and Windows XP.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    thanks.

Hi, I know some websites may have different requirements, but for some reason they don't seem to be recognizing your Settings. That or it is something else. I can't see why viewing a video would even require that. I've never UNchecked mine, so I don't know that for sure. Youtube videos use Flash Player thru the browser.
Can you right click on the video and see if they are using their player?
Do you have Windows Media Player Installed?
In the FF plugins is the Shockwave Flash plugin enabled? It needs to be.
Can you see the Flash Player logo animate (spin) here? What version of Flash player is displayed?  http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    Do you use any adblock?

  • 3rd party Flash player applications

I have the Ipad 2 and really like it but my only gripe with it is that it doesn't have flash player. I don't want to buy the Ipad 3 due to money. I know there are 3rd party flash players but I was wondering if there are any good ones that someone would recommend. I don't want to buy an app that either crashes a lot, doesn't work and so on. Please help me. I'm new to this whole thing so I would greatly appreciate the help.

Flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites - have a read through their reviews and see if any of them look like they might be ok for you. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

  • Why do I have to use a 3rd party for video calling...

I have downloaded the newest version of skype, and it says I am using BtvStack.exe for Skype. It will not allow me to make video calls from my desktop. How can I change this!? Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you are not using any Bluetooth devices with Skype, then you don't need this BtvStack.exe application at all.
In Skype open Tools -> Options -> Advanced settings. At the bottom of this screen you should see a menu item saying “Manage other programs access to Skype”. Click on this menu. Do you see any applications listed there?
If you see BtvStack.exe in the list, then remove this application.

  • Advice on 3rd party video converters

    Hi-
AppleCare has just told me that I'll need a 3rd party software video converter to turn my JVC GZ-MG155 HDD camcorder's ".MOD" video files into ".MOV" files so that I can edit using iMovie HD. I have no clue what I'm looking at when it comes to third party software or video converters. Any advice on what the best ones are? Which one(s) will get the job done without problems? I'm not concerned if I have to pay a little bit - I'm most concerned with getting something reliable. Thanks heaps!

Google MPEGStreamclip and get the free download. That will convert your files.

  • How do I fix flash video stream stutter?

I have a ZBOX-ID84-PLUS-U HTPC with Integrated Intel Atom D2550 1.86 GHz Dual-Core and onboard NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M (512 MB), running windows 7 x64.
I have been fighting with this thing for weeks, but cannot get flash video to stream from sites like ufc.tv, nfl game pass. I have tried all combinations of browsers, new and old versions of flash, all recommendations I could find inother posts, including turning off GPU acceleration, reinstalling drivers, etc.
When video first loads, it runs smoothly at the highest quality setting for about 10 seconds, at which time it downgrades to the lowest (when set to 'recommended quality'). If I set the stream to maintain a level of quality, the frame rate drops off instead.
It doesn't appear to be a connection issue as I can stream from netflix (silverlight plugin), and connection speed is ~14mbps. It doesn't appear to be a connection with the streaming site, as I can playback the same content using other devices.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, before I give up and move on.
    thanks.

  • Abort/Exit 3rd party program

    Hi!
I've developed a test system that flashes a device via a 3rd party flasher (hardware and software).
Sometimes the 3rd party program freezes or crashes for an unknown reason, can be hardware or software.
I communicate with the 3rd party program in a separate loop and uses the System Exec.vi to call the 3rd party program via its Command Prompt tool.
I am pretty sure, without actually having tested, that the rest of my application is responsive and running.
    Question:
I could implement a timer function that after X milliseconds says "Hey! You havn't completed the flash sequence in the time I gave you, ABORT!'.
But... is there some way to kill that 3rd party program automatically when a timer indicates a problem? Without the user having to open the Task Manager and end the process manually.
Or maybe another way to solve the problem.
    Best regards
    Peter

What is that 3rd party device?
Funny story:  I was working along side another developer that was having a simillar issue.  Out of the blue the 3rd party flash programmer would just hang up.  This is not desired in high volume automated production test systems.  After a few days of banging on the problem they asked me for ideas.  I immediately whent to the manufactures web-site saw they had a FAQ section and that FAQ#2 was "Is the xxx Device suitable for automated high volume systems?"
BINGO!  one more mouse click and I found the answer.  "No, this is not an anticipated use case for xxx device.  Every once in a while the device becomes unresponsive requiring a system reboot to restore proper operation."
This is what I call "Other people funny"  its only funny when it does not happen to you.

  • Any 3rd party software to recover video taken with iPad and not yet backed up

I accidently deleted a video clip, taken with the iPad 3. iPad has not been backed up since as this video was shot yesterday and I was out of town and unable to back up iPad yet. Are there any 3rd party solutions to recover that file? I've turned off the iPad to prevent over righting.
I think it's unbelievable that it could be so easy to possibly permanently delete content from such an advanced device

  • Topic: Microsoft's Silverlight for Mac. I wanted to video stream a movie via Verizon FIOS. It demanded Silverlight.dmg Macbok Pro refused to download from 3rd party supplier (CNET). How can I get this?

Topic: Microsoft's Silverlight for Mac. I wanted to video stream a movie via Verizon FIOS. It demanded Silverlight.dmg.  Macbok Pro refused to download from 3rd party supplier (CNET). How can I get this from Apple?  The Verizon FIOS video website was churning on the error message, "Checking device registration status."  It got stuck in a loop. Verizon tech support never came on. Was on terminal "Hold."  Any recommendations?

Never download anything from CNET. The site is untrustworthy and is known to distribute Windows spyware intentionally.

  • Loss of Music and Video and 3rd party apps not working on 3G

I've had to restore my 3G iphone about 10x now. The phone keeps "losing" my music and video, and then the 3rd party apps don't work. A reset does not help, I have to restore my phone and set it up as a new phone each time. I went to the Genius Bar, they gave me a new phone, but said it was likely a software issue. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a way to fix it? I waste like 2 hours re-syncing my phone every time this happens. I'm so disappointed with this iPhone 3G...I wish I hadn't sold my original iPhone and could switch back to that. Please, any help that anyone can offer would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you for replying. Did try this again, and then another recovery (holding down 2 buttons 'til Apple icon) but no luck.

  • Missing video tutorials, 3rd-party plugins

    All,
I just purchased Logic Studio and the documentation states that there are video tutorials on the Demo Content DVD. Yet when trying either my iMac's DVD player, or my hardware DVD player the videos are nowhere to be found. Not, luckily, that I'm struggling to use Logic 8. Still, what gives?
Also, I'm wondering whether it's possible to get 3rd-party instrument plugins (and ideally, their respective sound libraries) to show up in the Logic 8 browser, and/or if there are certain developers who are committed to supporting this level of compatibility with Logic 8.

just purchased Logic Studio and the documentation states that there are video tutorials on the Demo Content DVD
In the late breaking news document, it mentions that this content was not included after all. The Demo content does not feature any tutorial material.

  • 3rd Party Plugins for Flash CS4

Are there any resources to find 3rd party plugins for Flash CS4?  I've used plugins in older versions of Flash, but I'm new to CS4.  I'm wanting to a lot of cool things with a site including photo carousels, image transitions, visual effects, etc., but I'm not sure where to get started.  Perhaps I shouldn't even be looking at plugins?   Maybe I am really looking for tutorials on how to make cool effects in Flash?

Is there a list of 3rd party plugins which will work in Photoshop CS4 Extended?  I am thinking - in particular - of Blade Pro, Filter Factory, KPT 3 & 5, Sinedot and Super Blade Pro.
Haven't seen one. Anyway lists get out of date.
I guess the best way to get the latest information is to visit each manufacturer's web site.
