Hi All
I’m looking at the requirements for 3rd party servers specs based, the below link shows support ESXi version for CUCM, however it doesn’t mention 9.1(x) for CUCM at all?
Is it likely that Cisco just haven’t updated the doc yet?

Open a form from a 3rd party Java/Web based application

Hi All,
I am working for a client who has a 3rd party web application built in Java.
For one of his requirements, he wants to open a form, an apps standard form on the click of a button/url in their application.
This appears like a normal form opening from the single-signon screen where you have the self service single sign-on page, it opens the apps forms on click of the url. Can we use the same logic here? This being the case, just curious to know how is the url to open the form built? (I see that the function name, resp id etc are there in the url) So that, I can actually manipulate the url to open the forms from a url. Please see that the custom application also is included into our Oracle apps, so the user is already logged in. We just need to open the form from the click of a url/button.

If the ICX_SESSION is already available then the form(I am assuming you are refering to a web based form here) should open directly if the function should be accessible to the user logged in. When you say your custom application is included in Oracle apps are you launching these pages from the Ebiz home page through menus and functions ?

Trying to create a linked server to a remote 3rd party server using an AD group

I am the DBA at our organization so I have full authority to all of our local SQL Server databases but we have data in a remote 3rd party SQL Server database that is only read-only. The 3rd party has granted the read only privileges to one of our AD
groups - let's call it mydomain\adgroup1. I would like to create a linked server from one of our local SQL Servers to the remote database. I'm not sure how to do this.
I have set the AD group up as a login and a user in my local database. When I try to create the link, I used the mydomain\adgroup1 as the local login and, since the same credentials exist in the remote server, I checked the impersonate box and click
OK but I get "mydomain\adgroup1 is not a valid login or you do not have permission". Is it possible to create a linked server using an AD group? As of now, we only have the AD group permissions in the remote database. We could probably
request a single SQL Server account to be created on the remote side and we could create the same on our side, but we are trying to keep things as simple and transparent as possible (and we would really like to move more toward AD security and away
from individual users in the db).
Can anyone give me advice on how to get these two SQL Servers linked?

From your description, you likely want to implement Windows authentication for linked server, which requires to implement Kerberos constrained delegation.

Which 3rd party server should I use to host my labview VI from my PC

I have developed a Labview application, that I want to host from my PC. So that I can access it from other PC thorough internet.
Now It can be accessed from the connect "remote panel" option in OPERATE tab.
But I cant give a labview to my client so I want to access it through browser.
Using web publish tool I can access it on LAN through web browser.
But now I want to host that HTML page on internet.
so can you folks please help with the third party server suggestion that can host remote panel.

If you are wanting to display your front panels the answer is easy: There are no 3rd party servers that can display a dynamic LV front panel. What you will have to do is a conventional Web application where your LV code sends data to the web user interface using HTTP client calls to "Get" and "Post" methods.
The client-side will be orchestrated through JavaScript and some sort of messaging scheme you work out.

Error installing NI TPC Service on a 3rd party windows XPe Based Touch Panel

Hi,
First of all sorry for my English.
I'm having trouble when i try to install NI TPC SERVICE on a 3rd party Touch Panel that runs Windows XPe (Embedded).
I have tried lot of time. I'm installing the msi application for XPe from the folder "NI_TP_Service" of the Installation Path for LabVIEW 8.6 Touch Panel Module.
The installer file hungs after installing the service and just when it tries to initialize it and I get a Error Windows that says "Error 1920. Service 'NI TPC Service' (NITPCService) falied to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
I'm logged as Administrator, and I don't know what to do.
If anyone know what can i do I'll be pleased in hearing the answer.

You will need either the Touch Panel Module or the Datalogging and Supervisory Control Module (DSC). Either of these modules will allow you to deploy and install NI software to your touch panel. They also include many other features for developing those applications. You will also need a deployment license for any non-NI touch panel that you plan on deploying the applications to. The other software needed on the touch panel itself will include the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine and the NI TPC Service. The following link has some information on this:

Once deployed, the program will run as a stand-alone application that can be started from the HMI itself. Of course this depends on the functionality you create within the application, just like you would for any standard LabVIEW application.

Creating website with 3rd party server using blogspot or wordpress's domain name?

I just wonder...
I am now offered a free hosting service and I want to create my personal site with iWeb.
Questions come:
I don't really wish to buy a domain since the free service only last for half a year and I just want to try out blogging...
Is it possible for me to use create a iWeb made site using blogspot or wordpress domain and 3rd party hosting service?

The short answer is no. WordPress and Blogspot are two totally different things and are blogging systems and you can use these for free, but what you do is create a username and your blog is then pubished to WordPress servers etc., so your blog url is then http://username.wordpress.com.
If you want to create a site with iWeb and avail yourself of free hosting and upload there, then you'll need to register a domain name.
Wordpress, iWeb and Blogspot are totally different and the only way in which you can use both is to create your site in iWeb and then upload to the free hosting and just create a link from your iWeb site to your blog created with either WordPress or Blogspot.

Connection to 3rd party server

Hi,
it's me again ;-)
After few tests with my S2S conection between a BM38SP5 and a bintec
router it seems that the BM cannot establish a connection to the bintec.
From the bintec side it is allways possible to establish a connection to
the BM.
If the BM make the initial call to the bintec I get the following error
messages in the IKE log:
26.11.2007 11.58.16 Invalid SPI SIZE in IKE MAIN MODE SA 8
26.11.2007 11.58.16 Processed SA-PAYLOAD unsuccessful - No IKE proposal
chosen, dst=<public IP bintec>
26.11.2007 11.58.16 Failed to create IKE-SA - No IKE proposal chosen , dst
= <public IP bintec>
Any ideas?

I tried this but then I got a lot of PAYLOAD LENGTH errors
I tried 3des/sha, des/sha, 3des/md5, des/md5 on both sites without success.
I have configured 3des/sha on both sites but the BM tells me every time:
mine is des/sha yours is 3des/sha. If the phase2 comes up from the BM site
we have 3des on both sites.
After the first installation I had success with 3des/sha. But I had
problems with the 3rd party rules (see my other posts). I played a little
with the BM settings (there are only a few...) then I got the first time
the proposal mismatch error. After a reboot everything was fine again
(except for the rules). Abrupt I had my proposal mismath errors again, but
from this point the error no longer disappears.

IWeb generated RSS not working on 3rd party server regardless of efforts

Hi,
I have been reading various posts about how one has to upload both the folder and index.html file generated by iWeb, when one publishes an iWeb created website to a folder, and how it's important to place the domain URL into the line / space provided in the "Publish to a folder" window, and I believe I've done all that correctly without breaking any pathways.
However, it seems my web hosting service may be incompatible, when it comes to the RSS feeds, and I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this.
My server's structure is as follows when I FTP into it:
IP address>webroot>htdocs>website
My web hoster says the htdocs folder is the same as my domain name, www.dhdtv.ca
If I upload just the files from my published folder, dhdtv.ca, into my htdocs folder, the entire website displays & functions properly, with the exception of the pathways from the Subscribe buttons to the RSS feeds being broken.
Alternatively, if I upload the published folder, dhdtv.ca, along with the seperate index.html file, and place both in the htdocs folder, my website does not display.
Nor does it display if I take the published dhdtv.ca folder and accompanying index.html file out of the htdocs folder and place them in webroot, which is one level up.
My hosting company insists that I place my website in htdocs.
I've tried various combinations and the only thing that works is having all the files and folders from inside my published folder, dhdtv.ca, removed from the dhdtv.ca folder and placed directly into the htdocs folder.
Of course, no RSS feeds will work because of the broken pathways.
Given the above, can anyone tell me if my server configuration is compatible or not with the manner in which iWeb creates its RSS pathways and needs to be placed onto a server?
Or does anyone have a solution for this kind of configuration? My RSS feeds are video podcasts.

This is the right way to do it, and it should display correctly. The problem could be because you have named your first page Index. This conflicts with index.html files which iWeb produces. I suggest to change the name of your first page to Welcome or Home and republish and try reuploading the dhdtv.ca folder plus the separate index.html file again. Do put them in htdocs.
Also you might want to change the name of your site inside iWeb to something short and simple like A or 1 before you republish.

as you can see there is a few categories and alot of such apps especially games.what i suggest you do is go thru and find the ones you like and bookmark the web apps that you would use and then make a special folder for the ipod touch and then have it synced to your ipod touch for quick access. thats what i am doing.

Trouble Publishing to 3rd party server with FTP

I am publishing to a folder then trying to upload that folder via FTP to my web site. My domain is from register and is hosted by easyasphosting.com... anyway, I copy everything to the wwwroot directory and get the error "The system cannot find the file specified."
Does anyone know how to fix this? Applecar just wants me to use my .mac account, which is fine, but I am paying for my domain! Thanks!

The fellow who gave me the server information also provided the following:
Is "Home.html" supposed to be your "home" page? If so, it should be named
"index.html" (all lower case). That is necessary so it is displayed when
someone goes to www.arlington.5m2lions.org and is the only page that has to
have a specific name and be in a specific place.
I subsequently changed my home page to index.html
I am now using Cyberduck now instead of Fetch. I deleted all files from the server and got this message:
FTP Error: Listing directory failed

Transcript:

I subsequently uploaded my site again, apparently successfully since there were no error messages. Still will not appear. I will not attempt to touch the site again. Any assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Corrected URL: www.arlington.5m2lions.org

Css and images not working on 3rd party server

Hello,
I have read the previous posts on this subject, but found no resolution.
I can confirm that the CSS and images were uploaded to Media Temple.
The permissions are set to "read"
I didn't change any of the file structures. uploaded as it was output by Muse.
Any new thoughts?

On fox same thing except no image boxes even.
I have a support request in with MT so I will see what they have to say.

3rd Party Interface

In our portal application i have one JSP page which has a File Upload functionality when the user hits a button in this page it opens an ASP Application(3rd party) in a new browser,so that the user is allowed to do multiple file attachment,this ASP application uses a File Server
at their end to maintain all the files attached to a particular Account,
Now in the portal side we have the bussiness requirment to download those uploaded files,Once user finishes the upload process this ASP application has a COM Object which sends an information to the Web Service at their side,So i was wondering how we can talk to this
Web Service from our side, So that we can pull the attached file information to our Database,
Any ideas about the approach is appreciated

As far as my understanding goes you have two choices.
1) Change the web service so that it can send some information to the portal application which in turn will save the information.
2) Write some kind of a batch process which will be scheduled to run ar periodic intervals. This batch job can compare the repository on the portal server with the repository on the 3rd party server and then compile this info and save it.

IPayment with 3rd Party payment system

I have to configure iPayment with the third party payment system. the 3rd party talks with the Paymentech for credit card processing.
Here in this case,
1. 3rd party server is providing web services to talk with them
2. 3rd party server is working fine with the Paymentech
Issues
1. As per my understanding, I have to use Gateway model overhere. Correct me if I am worng?
2. Do I need to create any configuration servlet to talk with 3rd party server or is there any other way?
3. At which point I should call the web services provided by 3rd party?
4. How to create request as per the web service requirements and how to solve the response provided by web services?

Hi,
If your third party system talks with Payment Tech, Is it possible for you to confiure payment Tech directly with iPayment. As you know that oracle provides all the necessary confguration and servelt. Its pretty striagt forward and simple.
Find out whether you can use payment tech directly, that should solve most of your issues. If you need more information, let me know
