I like that slow project load times is one of the things they fixed...

I mean I wish I was wrong and I would gladly pay 100 dollars just for a 24p fix (which I'm starting to doubt will be in there). But any kind of speed up when clicking back to Premiere would greating improve my chance of not becoming insane while using magic bullet looks in Premiere.
I have a stange feeling there will be silence until about June 7th when we'll get a statement from Adobe saying it has been delayed a few more weeks so the RED updates will work with After Effects (no point in releasing it untill the AE 4.1 upgrade is done).
Again I hope I'm wrong and you guys are laughing at me on or before the 31st.

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is corrupt and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

I have a suspicion you're working with a scanned document that has had OCR run to recognize the text. The recognized text may be stored on an invisible layer above the image of the text, and that is what you're toucing up. It's invisible, so you don't see it, but retains the changes, so exporting produces the new edits.
When you run OCR to recognize scanned text,, try using the ClearScan option, instead of Searchable Text. See this help page on Acrobat (this is for version X, but still applies):

Nope. The release date as established by Apple in their Keynote speech is that the Mini will be released Later in November.
They never said it would be released the same day as the Air.

Pre 2 WebOS Version 2.1 Update Still Not Out?

I am starting a new thread on this because the others are marked as solved, but I dont believe the issue is fixed. I just renewed my contract and got a new Pre 2. The phone arrived with WebOS 2.0.1 and the often reported html email bug (I cannot see the content of email messages that are html formatted). I have hit system update repeatedly and been to the VZ store: no updates or solution available.
In my mind this issue can only be marked resolved by one of the following:
WebOS Version 2.1 being released to all Pre 2 users
A official statement that an update will not be released
If option 2 is the answer, when can we expect fixes for the documented problems in version 2.0.1? This is my first post and my apologies to those that are sick of this complaint.

Am I being overly optimistic that VZW will upgrade their Pre 2 customers to Pre 3 when it comes out, since webos 2.1 has NOT been rolled out? I have called numerous times to Tech Support and the range of answers have been that
Palm is responsible for doing the upgrade; or
VZW know nothing about an upgrade; or
VZW has tested upgrade and does not feel that it is stable enough to pass out to customers.
I'm not sure what to do at this juncture. I have spoken with Palm Tier 3 support several times for my sync problems with contacts and calendar and they have tried several avenues to correct and the bottom line is that with each solution I have to wipe device and reinstall and nothing is working.
I guess this is what becomes of a solid customer for almost 20 yrs. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH VZW!!! This looks like the time to look around for another provider.

I'm not bald yet, but will be after messing with Time Machine

Intel iMac Rev B. Two external drives, both less than 6 months old, one less than a week old. Maxtor 750GB, Seagate Freeagent Pro 1TB (bought last week).
Per previous support posts, Time Machine stopped working smoothly after my update from 10.5.2 to 10.5.3. After working that issue out, it seemed to be working again.
Long story short, I can't get TM to work on either drive. I have erased, re-partitioned (in the correct format for the Intel iMac), restarted TM and I get a multitude of issues. Sometimes the initial back up goes through, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the backups work as they should for a week, and sometimes, stop working after the first incremental backup.
I went out last week and bought the Seagate to confirm the problem wasn't a hard drive issue. I'm finding it next to impossible that I've got two bad drives that won't work with Time Machine, so I clearly think this is an Apple Software issue. As now I've got the Maxtor drive partitioned and doing A and B backups with SuperDuper.
It's getting expensive buying external harddrives. What other support for Time Machine is out there?
**Note - I have not applied the latest 10.5.5 update yet....anybody find that Time Machine works better with that update??**

I'm not out yet. HELP no stereo sound!

My 2009 Intel iMac (24Inch) all the sudden won't play stereo tracks after EyeTV gets installed; I get blown out of my seat in 5.1CH mix's but as soon has I try to play any thing that is non-5.1 surround I hear nothing at all not even a buzz or click. What am I missing? I should mention that I can play stereo mix's after I turn on my mac but the moment I play a movie in 5.1, 2ch drops of the earth & every 2ch track/movie/tv show/music video I try to play after that nothing happens. I am now starting to point my finger at the 10.6.8 update. I thought I fixed this by reinstalling every thing but that was short lived; 5.1 surround is great but not every thing is recorded in it. Any thing I can do? i

Not much help here.
What I did was deleted "AppleHDA.kext" extension and restarted unit. Extracted an original file from an Snow leopard Disc and placed it back.
Seems to work for now, can switch between 2ch and 5.1ch with out a problem.

N8 - Belle refresh not out yet?

I keep reading that all of you have updated your N8 to belle reffresh and it has been a while since the update came out but my nokia suite doesent show the option avalaible

Hi Surfamuit,
In the case that your phone isn't a branded handset, the responsibility for updates most likely lies with your country's Nokia. In addition to generic unbranded firmware, there are Country Variants released, so this may very well be the case that your local Nokia hasn't approved the firmware update / worked on it at all (as Country Variant releases are often tailored to the local country's phone requirements, or certain apps included etc etc).
As first point of call, I would contact your country's Nokia, whether that be your local Nokia Care point, or in the case that there are none, to contact the offices directly (e.g. in my case I would have to do that, since all the Nokia Care points in Australia have closed down). Ask them about the availability of the Belle Refresh update, and whether it will in fact be available.

Can't update ipod - not enough space but nothing is there

First, yes I have read the entire discussion a couple of threads down and it didn't help!
I have a new 2gb nano and am trying to load songs for the first time, using Windows XP. Every time I try to update, I get a message that it can't because there isn't enough space. I restored as suggested on a previous thread. I checked all my tracks and they are all 128. All my tracks are 3-4 mb. I do have more stuff in my library than would fit on my nano, but under options I have checked to only update playlists I specify and only update checked songs. I only checked one playlist and even went so far as to only check one song. So it won't even upload that. Showing 1.9g free space.
Any suggestions?

I think everything should be current. I downloaded the most recent iTunes yesterday when I got the ipod; Updater I just downloaded for the first time yesterday, as well as the ipod software. iTunes software is version 6.0.5.20 and ipod software is version 1.2. Yes, my preferences for only checked tracks and playlists, etc. were still there.
So I just now tried manually synching one playlist (the same one I was trying to do automatically before) and that worked fine. Which is some relief because now at least I have 70 songs instead of 0.
Subsequently decided to try out the new FM transmitter, which also worked fine, then came back thinking I would add some more manually. Now when I plug the ipod in, I get the message that the device can't be recognized. Tried the other USB port to no avail, same message. I know my port works because I run my printer off of it.

New mails received after IOS 5.0.1 update do not show graphics but instead unviewable file name and an attachment winmail.dat

I sent out a mail, composed by outlook 2007 in HTML format this afternoon which contained graphics, to several of my friends and copied myself. All of them had duly received the mail and were able to see the graphics in the mail in their iphones or ipads. However, the copy that was extended to myself had only the unviewable graphic filename and also an attachment winmail.dat(which cannot be opened) from both my iphone and ipad (both updated with IOS 5.0.1). Prior to this update, I had no problem of seeing graphics or photos in the mails received in both my ipad or iphone. I ran couple of test mails and they all ended up the same.
Any ideas??

Turned out, it's the Microsoft SP3 update that caused the problem.

I updated my printer this morning from the app store. since then the connection does not work. I cant add it through the computer. The printer also doesnt recognize my computer in the network (to which it is appropriately connected)

Sales report not out yet?

Is it me or are the sales from yesterday still not in, they are usually in by now.

This is normal. e.g. I didn't get my Dec 18th daily sales report until Dec 20 morning. X'mas time the AppStores guys must be overwhelmed. Just be patient.
