4.4.4 upgrade. I can't answer my phone. I went to Dialer, Settings, but there is no Answer option.
After 4.4.2 upgrade can't answer the phone when it rings. There is a screen with a phone handset in gray, but it doesn't respond to tapping on the screen.

We definitely want you to answer your phone calls! Let's get this back up and running for you. Which make/model phone is having this trouble? If you power off and back on, does anything change? Are you able to make calls okay?

My elderly mother has EXTREMELY limited vision and is a technophobe. I am considering an iPhone with Siri. Can I turn off everything else so she can use only the phone app and voice dialing or Siri and not accidentally open any other app and screw something up.
I'm asking, in all seriousness, why do you think your mother needs an iPhone? Honestly, if your mother is, as you described her, a technophobe, I would recommend against getting an iPhone or any other smartphone. I've spent a fair bit of time teaching older folks to use smartphones. If they are interested in learning, it's fine. If they have the phone because their kids or grandkids thought it was a good idea but they are afraid of the phone or not interested in its features, it doesn't go well at all.
Many basic phones have voice dialing. Obviously, it doesn't do all the things Siri does but it may be much less intimidating for your mom. Also, basic phones have hardware keys. Even someone with limited vision can learn the keyboard on such a phone. From the sound of your first post, all she will be doing is making phone calls.

My iPhone 4s was stolen almost a week ago now. If I can still see the phone listed in Find My iPhone but appears to be turned off does this mean the theif has not restored it to factory settings???
Are you sure? I have other devices at home. The only way I can make them disappear on the tracking list is by turning off location or resetting to factory settings.
I just want to make sure I'm not tracking a phantom that I will never recover :-( -
I have an i4s and my mail from bellsouth disappears. I can sync my hotmail days to sync but there is not that option with bellsouth. How do I do it so they won't disappear?
Your iCloud password is your Apple ID and password. You must know it since you are posting here.
Have you transfered your MMe account to iCloud? If not, open iCloud in system preferences and sign in with your Apple ID and password.
If you have transfered it to iCloud, do this:
Go to the iCloud icon in System Preferences and open it. Sign out of iCloud.
Open Mail. If the iCloud or MMe account still exists in Mail's preferences under accounts, select the account and delete it. Then sign back into iCloud and choose Mail and any other applications in iCloud that you use. The Mail account should be put into Mail automatically.
Signing out of iCloud should remove the account from Mail and signing back in should put it back. There is no manuel account creation by you when using Apple Mail application. -
My friend has just bought an iPad, but can't create an Apple ID without credit card details. I tried from my computer, but there is no 'none' option in Payment Options section. very frustrating !!! please help
Did you or your friend follow, exactly, the instructions on the page that FoxFifth linked to when creating a new account ? I've just tried it on my computer's iTunes and the instructions still work, I get the 'none' option on a new account

I accidentally selected "do note allow" Pages access to my photos. Now I can't insert photos. Message says go to settings and select Privacy - but there is no such option in the Settings. Help! I want to be able to insert images in documents I create in the Pages app.
Ok - I figured it out myself as soon as I posted this question. I went to my IPad settings - not the Settings in the Pages app. Problem fixed.

I have downloaded a calendar app but can't add events. I have been to settings but can't locate default calendar as suggested, have also turned the app off and on as suggested.
You got the new iphone????? I have same problem. I transferred audiobooks to device to find no audiobooks on device (despite it being in iTunes as if it was). Have you found a solution????? I even tried to change import settings on format transfer but hasn't worked.

I have been able to get Airplay to work with my iPad 3 and 3rd Generation iPad TV, however there is no mirroring option when I hit the airplay icon - hence I can get audio, but no video.
iPad software: iOS 5.1.1
Apple TV software: 5.0.2 (4250)
Any thoughts as to what's going wrong?Are you enabling Airplay mirroring properly?
Double click the Home button, scroll to the leftmost screen and under Airplay look to turn mirroring On.

I rented a film last night and when visitors came I paused it, I can't get back into it now. When I try to I am told I have already rented it and to go to "downloads" in settings. There is no "downloads " in settings. I then read some similar complaints on line and tried to follow them which said to look for the film in "videos" i, but I have no"videos" setting to access anywhere! . The weekend is almost over I have no other opportunity to watch the film and want a refund

I am able to receive phone calls on my iPad air 2. But, I can not make any phone calls. I am using an iPhone 6. I have set up both as required. What am I overlooking?

Why can't I edit phone numbers in the dialer?
If I find a number on the Internet, it is often (at least in Sweden) typed in with country code and then an optional 0 if you're calling domesically, e.g. +46 (0) 8-402 60 00. This number isn't dialable because of the extra 0 inserted there from misguided benevolence.
My phone is also inside a switchboard and I need to add either a 0 or replace the first 0 with +46 (for a Swedish number) in front of every number to be able to make a call. Unfortunately the only way I can find to edit a phone number in the phone number dialer is to erase them from the last digit. Not very efficient if you want to replace the first digit!
Why can't I edit phone numbers anywhere in the string of numbers as anywhere else in the phone and its apps?

I import photos to iCloud. Tells me to check settings but when I do I can't find the problem.
I've not experienced this, but a few other people have reported the same.
I don't know what the issue is, but try changing your DNS server settings to use Google's DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in either your router settings or your computers internet settings.
(Incidentally, you can't access iCloud.com from an iOS device). -
Does anyone know why I can't activate my phone after restoring to factory settings?
I bought my iphone from Ebay about a year ago. I didn't realise it was jailbroken. When I updated the software before Christmas, I kept losing signal. I tried resetting it and have now restored it to factory settings but now I cannot activate it. Can anyone help me? Please?
The jailbreak made unknown changes to your iPhone and when
you restored the iPhone, it was relocked to the original carrier.
Only that carrier can unlock the iPhone, and the jailbreak may
prevent that from completing.
Google might provide some assistance, but Terms of Service
prohibit jailbroken iPhones in these fora. -
