4.5 erased my contacts, memo pad, and task manager on 8320!

I dont think that was supposed to happen, but the new upgrade erased all of the information in my address book. It erased the memo pad and task manager apps completely. I have yet to find a way to get it back. I doubt there is though. I would really like to get all that stuff back with out having to roll back the firmware because the one good thing about 4.5 is the video camera but whatever has to be done has to be done.

First of all, the loader process makes an automatic backup of all that data in the form of an .ipd file. Search your computer for this file. It's usually placed in My Documents but could be anywhere. If you deselected the automatic backup before loading the new OS then you could be out of luck.
Use the Backup/Restore feature to restore that .ipd file to the device.
Downgrading the OS back to the original will not bring your data back anyway so no need to do that.

When the phone is connected to the computer in iTunes, go to the Info tab and select Outlook as the source for Contacts and Calendars. Tasks will not sync, but Notes can be selected to sync as well.

I want to cross check the
SQL Server Config Manager, Windows Administration Tools, Manage Computer and Task Manager
for running of SQL SERVER.
I stop SQLEXPRESS instance in one of the above tools but the others become unaware of the latest changes except
Task Manager.
For example when I stop SQL EXPRESS from within SQL Server Congiguration Manager
it still seems working in Windows Administration Tools, Manage Computer windows.
What is the reason for this?

Aprat from SQL Server configuration manager all other are windows tool and should not be used to manage SQL Server in anyway. Although I cannot completely understand list of tools you mentioned

Ctrl Alt Del and Task manager not working

Hi, Ive been having a problem getting task manager to run at all. On a fresh reboot, if I use the ctrl alt del function the according screen will come up like normal, and I will click on task manager. It bring me back to my desktop and nothing pops up.
Its not running in my task bar or anything. Then if I try to use the ctrl alt del function again, nothing happens. Ive tried running task manager straight from the start menu, but then I get an error saying that the version of that file is not compatible with
the version of windows I am running, which is 64 bit W7. It just started happening on my system a few days ago and I have changed nothing the past few days. I have tried to do a system restore, but to my idiocy, I did not know I needed to manually create restore
points. So I can only restore to yesterday which would fix nothing. I have run antivirus and anti spyware programs and they have shown no problems and my hard drive only has a 1% disk fragmentation. Is there a way to uninstall and re download a 64 bit compatible
version of the windows 7 task manager? Or is there a separate reason why it is not working? Thankyou

The only one its showing is an explorer folder.

Users not showing in Terminal Server Under Remote desktop services manager and Task Manager

I have a problem here in Terminal Server. I can not see the users logged in to Server but i know users are accessing the files and currently working.
1. From the Task Manager-- Show processes from all users displayed all the processes accessing by users.
2. From the Task Manager-- From Users Tab--No users list at all
3. From the Command Prompt- Query users-- No information
4. From the Remote desktop services Manager-- used with IP/Host name-- Still can not see the users list and processes. So i can not kill the session if needed.
Enviroment:
TS CALS 20 currently accessing 15 users
VM-WARE GUEST: 2008 RS Terminal Services/Remote Desktop services installed
Windows up to date-- Just updated last month
Problem is here for long time. Just couldn't find the time to trouble shoot.

As you have tried many steps, I suggest you to try below command line and power shell command if successful in your case. Please try below command with Admin access:
qwinsta /server:<servername>
To kill a session use rwinsta to delete the session specifying the ID number:
rwinsta /server:computer01 3

Get-RDUserSession and Disconnect-RDUser

Firfox slowing way down or hanging and task manager has multiple sessions of "plugin-container.exe *32" running.

I'm running Win 7, Firefox 10.0.2 and all my plug-ins are up to date. I'm having issues with Firfox slowing way down or hanging, let say like when going to Youtube or site that just has a picture that uses Flash. I go to task manager and have multiple sessions of “plugin-container.exe *32" running at anywhere from 2,000k to over 300,000k (only one at the larger amount and most at 2m to 8m). I have to kill the multiple processes to get it running right again.

Customers Online and Task Manager

Greetings all,
I know that Customers Online doesnt fall under the CRM umbrella, but thought this might be a good place to start collecting info. We've been using Customers Online with Apps upgraded to 11.5.10.2. For sake of argument, lets just say we're all patched up. We're under the impression from the various documentation that task manager is integrated well enough with OCO to provide normal functionality.
I have this responsibility to get tasks within Customers Online to provide "notification" to the assigned user when one is created. Basically, If a Sales Manager creates a task and assignes it to a resource, then the resource should receive "notification" that there is a new task. I would like the TASK to use email notification to send out the notice.
The email notification workflow is running normal. I can create a calendar entry and have the system "notify" me per my requested notice. So, the component for sending out emails is active and enabled. However, I cant seem to figure out where to set the "flag" or "activate" notifications for Tasks.

Credit Memo Request and Credit Management

Hi, can anyone advise the following?
I noticed that sales values of the credit memo request is updated to the open delivery instead of open order in the credit master. Why is this so? Also, when i select a order order reason configured with fixed value '1' 'relevant for retro-billing, then the sales value is not updated. What's the purpose of this indicator in the configuration?

a credit memo request is supposed to be not relevant for delivery. so why is this updating open delivery value? maybe it's SAP standard? maybe credit group 03 (delivery docs) was assigned to the credit memo request doc type? if so, why assign credit management to credit memo requests anyway?

Memo pad

I downloaded the v5.0.0.591 version on my Tour today. I must say I was concerned after reading about so many people having trouble with it. The update wiped out all of my apps, including some apps that came with the phone. The one that I care the most about is the memopad. I use it quite frequently and now I've lost all the information that was there. Not only that but I don't have a memo application at all anymore. Is there anything I can do about this? Where can I download the memo application that originally came with the device? My carrier is Verizon.
I would greatly appreciate any help with this issue. Thanks in advance.

Plug the device back in and run Application Loader found in Desktop manager and go through the process until you see the list of applications on the device. Check the box next to Memo Pad and any other applications that you want on the device. Finish the process.
If that doesn't work then follow the instructions here to install the OS to your PC and just use the basic Loader.exe to reinstall MemoPad to the device:

I want to ask a question related with best practice topics. What is the best way to manage the information generated by process execution?. Its ok to have a database different from the workflow database to store the most important data.
I know this could be somethig redundant, but its easier to manage the data this way because managing an accessing the "BLOBs" in the workflow repository is not easy. Its there any advice in relation to this topic, any link or document ?

What I'm missing also within Process and Task Management Facade is the link between ProcessInstance and related TaskInstances.
I know I can get tasks for a user by Status or ID. But I see no way to get a set of tasks for a certain process Instance.
Will Process and Task Management Facade also be enhanced for SAP NW CE 7.3 EHP1?
Is it already known what new features will be available or is this information published during TechEd?

Tasks, Calendar, Messages, Contacts, and Memo Pad don't work after pairing (Error 404)

When I pair my Torch to the PlayBook it all goes as expected. I can browse the files on my phone and also open the internet browser; however, when I try to open Tasks, Calendar, Messages, Contacts, and Memo Pad I get:
Error 404 - We can't open the webpage that you requested because it could not be found
Bridge Browser and Bridge Files still work fine though.

The best thing would be to delete and reinstall the bridge app from your smartphones and download it again,
Maybe the bridge app was corrupted on the first download. So, check if you have the latest software on the playbook and also the latest app version of the bridge on the smartphone.
Even so, it's better if you delete the app from your smartphone and downloaded again. One more tip would be to delete the bluetooth profiles of the smartphone on the playbook using the little pencil icon. Good luck guys! .

If you plug in the iPhone to your computer, any contacts ect that you synced with your computer with sync back with the iPhone when it is selected in the iTunes menu under info. Anything that was added without syncing was lost, I'm sorry. A good future solution is to get iOS 5 when it comes out this fall, so you don't need to manually sync contacts, its automatic!
