4.7X200 DB instance installation error CJS-00095
Hi All,
Please help me in resolving this issue
I am trying to install 4.7X200 on windows 2K SP4 using Oracle 9i.
Successfully installed CI installation and encountered error in DB instance at "Create Oracle Database" Phase.
Execution of the command "c:\oracle\R3D\920/bin/oradim -NEW -SID R3D -STARTMODE manual -SRVCSTART system" finished with return code 35. Output: DIM-00035: You have entered and invalid option for the -EDIT command
CJS-00095 Error return code.<br>DIAGNOSIS: Return code 35 of executable c:\oracle\R3D\920/bin/oradim indicates an error.<br>SOLUTION: See log file oradim.log for details.

Dialog Instance installation error - rdisp/msserv_no not possible
Dear All,
While trying to install a DI I am getting the following error:
An error occurred while processing service SAP CRM 5.0 Support Release 3 > Software Life-Cycle Options > Application Server > MS SQL Server > Dialog Instance( Last error reported by the step :Caught ESAPinstException in Modulecall: in getMsPort() rdisp/msserv_no not possible. You need a newer message server..). You may now
choose Retry to repeat the current step.
choose View Log to get more information about the error.
stop the task and continue with it later.
Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/CRM05/LM/AS/MSS/DI.

Interestingly enough the installation went through by restoring the original kernel files, i.e. kernel fils as soon as the CI installation was completed.
I have upgraded kernel on CI now and am facing another issue of "Dialong Queue info Unavailable".
Not sure if I should open up a new thread for it.
Please let me know your views/ideas on the above.

I have Installed DBCI with HACMP environment with Oracle 11G and AIX6.1 Production system
Now I am trying to install Dialog instance D02 but i am facing problem in last Phase 'shutdown and start Dialog instance'
the error as follows
An error occurred while processing option SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 Ready - Support Release 1 > SAP Application Server ABAP > Oracle > High-Availability System > Dialog Instance Last error reported by the step: ABAP processes of instance GPD/D02 ABAP: UNKNOWN did not start after 10:00 minutes. Giving up.). You can now:
Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
Stop the option and continue with it later.
Log files are written to /perfdata/saplog/sapinst_instdir/ERPEhP4/AS-ABAP/ORA/HA/DI.

Database Instance Installation error- DIM:00011
Hi,
I got the following error during installation of ECC 5.0 Ides version. It was Oracle Database(10.2.0.2) on Windows 2003 server(SP 2)
DIM-00011. The service does not exist. Cause: You have tried to edit a service which does not exist, or there is an error trying to access the registry
I couldn't find Oracle services in the Services directory at all. Previously I installed Oracle 10.2( software only) and then applied Patch set 10.2.0.2 using OUI. I was unable to connect to Database using SQL* plus session.
However I was able to install Central Instance. The error occured during Database Instance Installation.I have created instance N04 and service OracleServiceN04 using ORADIM. Now I have total 3 oracle services in Services directory.
1)OracleJobscheduler 2) OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener3)OracleserviceN04
However, I am still unable to connect through SQL*plus. I get following errors:
Ora-1034 & Ora-27101
I wish to continue with installation...what do you suggest? -

SAPinst is unable to create a directory exe under /sapmnt/<SID>
Could you run the following commands
chmod -R 777 /sapmnt/<SID>
chown -R <sidadm>:sapsys /sapmnt/<SID>
Retry after these changes.

Dialog Instance Installation - Error while connecting to DB
Hi All,
We have installed a WAS 640 SP15 and successfully running a Portal EP6.0 (SP15) on the same. Now, we wish to install a dialog instance on the same for load balancing the Portal on the same Hardware/Server.
During the DI installation in the phase "Configuring J2EE Engine", the installation fails with the error "Error while connecting to DB".
I tried to restart the installation by replacing the JDBC and OS_LIB of the new instance with the JDBC and OS_LIB of the already running CI instance but it didnt help either.
Any pointers in this direction will be appreciated.

AbhijeetWe have the same issue. We have a NW04 SP19 J2EE standalone WAS and are using the SP19 SAPINST to add a second dialog instance on the same host as the central instance.
We restarted the Oracle listener ... to no avail

AbhishekThanks, but most of the people in the industry are still using the same, and it is working on their Machine
As far as I remember 9.2.0.2 was never released, one needed to install at least 9.2.0.4 (or .5). That´s why the official installation guides tell you to install the latest patches PLUS the latest interim patches for the database.
On top of that, Oracle 9.2 is out of extended support already, I would get a new installation CD set with Oracle 10g and use that for a new installation.
why it is not working on my machine?
Because those old database versions have many bugs that are fixed with patches - so why do you want to run such an old version if one KNOWS that it´s buggy and there are patches to fix those errors?
secondly from where i will get the latest patches, as told by you. pl do let me know any website from where i can down load them

In setting up above two version, it was interrupted on the menu during the installation.

7. Turn off the firewall settings

Which system are you getting the error, XP / Win 7 ?
Please find the minimum H/W requirement (Source Inst Guide)
Minimum RAM :- 4GB
Paging file size :- 1 times RAM plus 8 GB
If you are trying for win 7, then I would recommend you to
increase the swap space and give it a try.
It looks like it is not getting the required system
resources (RAM).
